I am in pain.

She just knocked
the...out of me.

It's coming after
my mom.

I think they want
to k*ll me.

Her head's being bashed in.

She closed her eyes
and never opened them again.

It would not be good to have
living children around her.

She's like, "I want to hate,

I want to hurt,
I want to destroy."

Panic, panic, panic.

My name is Amy Allan.

I'm seeing, like, blood.

The house just feels bad.

I see dead people.

This man is completely insane.

I speak to dead people.

Okay, she didn't
like it in there.

And they speak to me.

He likes to twist that Kn*fe.

But there's only one way to
know if my findings are real.

Something paranormal
is trying to k*ll them.

I rely on my partner.

I'm Steve Di Schiavi.

I'm a retired New York City
homicide detective.

Now, does he die right
there on the spot?

I know every person,
every house has secrets.

I think it's trying
to steal my soul.

It's my job
to reveal them.

You ever get touched
like that again?

But Steve and I never speak...

We never communicate
during an investigation.

...until the very end.

I'm as stunned
as you guys are.

We uncover it's
safe for you to stay...

I don't want anything to
happen to my daughter.

Or time to get out.

His goal is to k*ll you guys.

I'm in Berlin Heights, Ohio.

It's a small suburb about
an hour west of Cleveland.

I got a call from a young
woman named Brittany.

She says the house she grew up
in was a paranormal w*r zone.

She and her sister
got the hell out,

but her mom doesn't
want to leave.

Brittany says if we can't help,

her mother's going to
get seriously hurt.

Before Amy arrives,

I have to remove any
leading information.

This home has a lot
of family photos

and religious symbols,
so it's important

that I cover or remove them all.

When I'm done,
the location will be ready

for tonight's walk.

I don't like this.

I see all these black,
like, vines growing

all over the land here.

They literally are embedded
into the house from the ground.

They're carrying bad water
and it's bad earth.

And it affects the living.
These vines make people evil.

So, Brittany,
when we spoke on the phone,

sounded like you were
pretty desperate.

What the hell's
going on?

Something's been
going after my mom.

She's already been
physically hurt,

and I'm worried that
it's just going

to get worse from here.

Now, Brittany, I know you don't
live in the house anymore,

but who exactly does?

So, my sister and I,
we grew up here,

but we've
since moved out.

Okay.

Right now, currently,
my mom and dad.

When you did live here,
did you have experiences?

Yeah,
since day one.

Most nights,
I'd cry myself to sleep.

What about your sister?

Yeah, it was just
as bad for her.

So, I'm curious,
does coming back here

bother you at all?

Yes. I have a little
8- month-old,

and I don't want
anything to hurt her.

Do me a favor.
Can you give me an idea

what everybody's
experiencing here?

We've heard
lots of footsteps.

Okay.

We have objects moving.

We've seen apparitions.

There's dark shadows.

And now it's gotten
to the point

where people are getting
physically harmed.

When you said,
"physical att*cks,"

what are we
talking about?

My mom, she ended up
getting bit one night.

She was upstairs in bed,
and she saw this lady.

And she ended up
biting her,

and then there was
also bruises.

She actually
saw somebody --

Yeah.
And then that person bit her?

Yeah.

In 140, some-odd cases,
I've never heard

of somebody actually
seeing the apparition,

and then the apparition
bit them.

Yeah.

How's your mom holding up
with all this going on?

Most days, she's okay,
but some days,

she gets
shaken up by it.

My sister,
she had mentioned,

that she's been shorter
with her recently.

What do you think
is here?

I know that
they're negative --

Right.

And I know
that they're bad.

It's coming after
my mom.

It just wants
to hurt her.

Here.

It's okay.

So there's
a dead woman out here.

She d*ed. It was not good.
It was bad.

And her head's being bashed in.

The black vines might
be what's bringing her

to this property.

I don't know.

Problem is is that these things
go into the house

and affect the living.

They can make them
extremely depressed.

It's bad, it's bad.

Okay, so what's
going on in here?

Lots of dark shadows.

There's one specific
that comes to mind.

It was like
a snake-like figure.

Where exactly was it?

It came from the ceiling
and followed me up the stairs,

and then it disappeared.

Okay, so anything else?

Yeah, so I hear running
around my bedroom,

running around the hallways,
and then also,

footsteps
up in the attic.

Tormented me most of
my upbringing here.

I would cry myself to
sleep a lot of the nights.

Okay, anything else?

Outside of the garage,
I saw an apparition

of a young girl wearing
all white, and brown hair.

She came off more negative,
and almost vengeful.

So this young girl
scared you?

Yeah.

It seemed like she could
do something to hurt me.

I got a dead little girl
between the age of 4 and 5.

She's wearing a little
blue and white dress,

white stockings, white shoes.

I don't know what
her connection is

to this place specifically.

All I know is that she's here.

Really adorable kid,
really cute.

Cutie, but she's not good.

And I saw her transform,
and it was bad.

Yeah, this kid is causing
all kinds of commotion.

There's always --
she's always running,

she's always on the go,
she's always go, go, going.

She's like a little tornado.

I think that they would
hear a child running a lot.

She's very hyper kid,
and she does a lot of things

that kids would do.

Like this towel, she would pull
down, and she bites people.

She's very mean -- biting legs,
pulling on people, spazzing.

Talking to your sister,
Brittany, earlier,

and she was telling me

how traumatic it was
growing up here.

It was very scary,
very nerve-wracking.

This is my old room.

It makes me
very, very uncomfortable,

and I won't come
in here by myself.

Can you tell me about some of
the experiences you had?

Probably the scariest
thing for me --

all my drapes started to go
up an down at the same time.

Were any windows open?

No.

Now that's like something
out of a horror movie?

Yes.

Okay, anything else?

I used to sleep
with the radio on

to tune out the noises.

Every night, my radio
station would change,

and I'd wake up
to ballroom music.

So you go to bed with one
station on, wake up to another?

Yep, pretty much.

It was a bad experience.

Boy.

Mostly just the kid in here
running amok.

She causes a lot of chaos
and physical disturbances,

throughout the house.

I think the kid can
play with energy,

so there would be
some light issues...

...television issues,

computer issues down here.

She might mess
with the curtains

or the couch or the chair.

She is crazy.

Your sister mentioned to me,
that you thought

your mother had a change
in her personality.

Can you tell me
about that?

She's just more standoffish.
She's irritated.

She's short.
She's just not the same.

It's not the mom
I grew up with.

Do you think it's the
paranormal in this house?

I do.
It's like they're, like,

sucking the life
out of her.

Your sister thinks
she's in danger.

What do you think?

I think that something
could really,

potentially, hurt her.

Okay.

This little girl
is a big problem.

She can be malicious
towards the living.

She was trying to
bind me with the vines.

I feel like she tries to
make people stay here

or not be able to leave here.

And tries to infect them
with the vines.

And what would being
infected with these vines do?

Could cause somebody
to k*ll themselves

or get sick, I guess.

And then what?

Die?

Well, Tammy,
I was talking to

your daughter, Brittany,
who asked us to come in,

and she's pretty worried
about you.

She thinks you're
in danger here.

Do you agree with her?

Yes, it's gotten
very bad.

At first, it wasn't
that threatening,

but the last
few years it's --

I feel like
we're in danger.

Both your daughters
gave me a laundry list

of experiences
they've had.

Yes.
Okay, what about you?

We have
a lot of knocking.

It'll sound like
it's knocking on doors.

It'll be
knocking on walls.

Sometimes it sounds like
there's 100 people,

b*ating on the outside
of our house.

What about pipes?
No.

I've come down to make sure
that's not what it was.

Anything else?

We have constant
shadow people.

I see them every day.

Now, Brittany
mentioned to me

she sees snake-like
shadow figures.

What do you see?

They're dark.

Like a person,
but they're spread out.

I see them
come down the steps.

They like to go
across the ceiling.

And I'll wake up,
and they'll be above you,

and it feels like they're
trying to suck your breath.

Feels like
I can't get any air.

What do you think
these things want?

Well, I think they
want to k*ll me.

Feels very
oppressive down here.

This is a very painful place
to live in physically.

Feels like I'm drowning.

There's a male associated
with this space.

He doesn't want to be seen,
doesn't want to be known.

Okay, he does do
the black mist thing.

People do see a black
shadow person down here.

He really does try
to push his energy,

and push you out.

People are hearing
loud noises down here,

like loud crashes,
bangs, whatever.

I feel like he's grabbing the
back of my neck, like a doll.

I am in pain.

People would feel him.

I'm feeling like they
need to get out of here

as quickly as possible.

Okay, so what's
going on up here?

My health
has been declining.

I feel pains all across
the left side of my body,

in my knee, and in my shoulder,
and the back of my neck.

Why do you think your health
problems are paranormal?

I've been to the doctor,
and the pain that I'm having,

there's no medical issue
that goes along with it.

Anything else?

I woke up with
a bite mark on my arm.

Okay, your daughter,
Brittany, told me about that.

Yes, and I've also
woken up with bruises.

I have a picture
right here.

I'll wake up,
and it's on my limbs.

They're quite large.

Now, these bruises hurt?
Yes.

And there's no autoimmune
disease problem, or --

No.
Okay.

No.
Anything else?

Well, I saw an apparition
of a lady

right in
the hallway here.

She was in
Victorian clothing,

and she was probably,
like, about 30 years old.

Did you ever see an apparition
like that again?

Yes, I woke up, startled,
and it was a lady

floating above me.

She was all white
and translucent.

Was it the same lady, though?
No.

Can you describe the woman
you saw above the bed?

Yes. She was
probably like, 50s.

And she had all
this frizzy hair,

and she was completely
white, also.

Do you think she's
the one who att*cked you?

Yes.

The first lady was peaceful,
and this one was evil.

Your daughter
Mandy told me

that your personality's
changed a little bit.

Do you agree with that?

I would, yeah.

You know,
not feeling that great.

I'm really drained
all the time.

It's getting worse.

This is probably hard
for you to hear,

but Brittany was telling me,
that she's kind of worried

about bringing
her daughter here.

Yeah, that's
very painful.

We want to know she's safe
when she's here

and not have to worry about
anything attacking her

or hurting her,
so we went to the best,

we went to you guys.

There's a woman who
is a raging lunatic.

She's pissed, man.

Does she affect
the living in any way?

I'm not sure
how they see her.

She doesn't
let anybody sleep.

She's trying to talk to
people all the time.

Whoa.

She just knocked
the...out of me.

So she is extremely physical,
and I think she'd hurt them.

Hitting them, choking them,
smothering them in their beds.

I would be nervous about
kids being around her, too.

I think it would not be good

to have living children
around her -- at all.

This dead woman would
b*at living children.

The other thing she's doing,
is draining my energy.

I think living people
would probably have nausea,

anxiety, like feel
irritable, anxious, sleepy,

things like that.

And she's like,
"I want to hate, I want to hurt,

I want to destroy."

Amy and I have already
done a few investigations

in this part of Ohio,
so I've got a bunch

of local contacts here.

One of them,
my old friend Kim Macdonald,

says one of the original owners
of the house has a tragic story

that's definitely gonna
help my investigation.

Well, Kim, It's good
to see you again.

- Good to see you.
- So you mentioned on the phone

the Elson family
had a pretty tragic story.

What can you
tell me about them?

The Elsons, Joseph and Luticia,
moved into the area,

with their
12 children in tow.

Wow.

In 1874, they moved
into the house

that your clients
live in right now.

Now, you also
mentioned on the phone

that things got bad when
they moved here.

What happened?
Yes, three years later,

in 1877, their daughter Julia
developed a blood infection

and she d*ed.

And how old was she
at the time of her death?

She was 33,
prime of her life.

Now, Kim, do we have any idea
what caused this infection?

All it says on the death
record is septicemia and fever.

They move there, Julia dies.
What happens after that?

Three years after
Julia dies, Maggie,

she also comes up with

the very same
type of infection,

and Maggie d*ed
in February of 1880.

In the house?

In the house.

Here is her
death record.

Okay, now, how old was
Maggie when she d*ed?

She was 33.

So we got two sisters
the same age, 33 years old,

dying of
the same disease.

Right.

How'd Luticia take this?

Luticia did not
handle it well.

The same year that
she lost Maggie,

Luticia's health
started to go downhill,

Luticia developed edema,
which is like

a swelling under the skin,
it's very painful.

Doctor gave her
some morphine,

try to ease the pain.

She overdosed.

So, November, 1880,

she closed her eyes
and never opened them again.

Here's her obituary.

She was 71
when she d*ed.

Luticia's funeral
was actually held

in your client's house.

I'm trying to get something
on that woman who att*cked me.

So she lived here
with her husband

who she...hated
with...a passion.

This is going back.

I mean, she's talking
about 1870s.

She doesn't like children,
but she had kids.

I feel like her kids d*ed.

There's been quite a few
deaths surrounding her.

Any idea
how she d*ed?

I'm seeing a woman
falling to the floor.

I just feel very sick
and light-headed here.

I feel like I'm gonna fall down.

I feel dizzy,
I feel weak, I feel heavy.

She took medicine?

Maybe took too much,
I don't know.

So far I've got a client
worried something's going after

her mom on a property
where one of the original owners

suffered several tragic deaths.

But I want to see if
there's anything else.

Searching through old records,
I come across Hudson Tuttle.

Turns out Tuttle claimed
to be a medium

and lived right down the street
from Tammy's property.

I'm heading over to meet
with a local historian

who says this Tuttle guy
was a real piece of work.

Mary, thanks for meeting me.

So, what'd you find out
about Hudson Tuttle?

He was born in
Berlin Heights in 1836.

When he was
just 19 years old,

he wrote a book
on psychic phenomenon.

He became well-known
as a medium,

not just in the town,
but all over the world.

Was he very active
in this town?

Yes, he went around town
and held seances.

Tuttle wanted to
help other people,

to communicate
with the dead.

So he actually
invented something

that was similar
to a Ouija board,

and it's called
the psychograph.

And it was a device used
to communicate with the dead.

Of course,
then they used them

all over the area
of Berlin Heights.

People had them
in their home.

You know,
so working with Amy,

I know that doing that
Ouija board stuff

in one house
is bad enough,

but if he's doing it
throughout the whole town,

that can't be good.

It might be
a s*ab in the dark,

but the Elson family
lived down the street

in my client's house
around that time.

Any idea
if he knew them?

Yes, he knew
the Elsons,

and he must have
known them pretty well

because I found
this article.

When the Elson's daughter
Maggie d*ed in 1880,

he conducted
the funeral services.

He did
the funeral service?

Yes, and he was very
close to the family.

Any chance
that the Elsons

would have had something
like psychographs?

I would say it's
a high probability

that they did have one.

So whatever
happened with him?

Hudson Tuttle, he stayed
in Berlin Heights.

He lived there
his whole life,

and he d*ed of kidney disease,
nephritis, in 1910,

when he was 74 years old.

And the interesting
thing is that he's buried

just about 100 yards
from your client's property.

There's an old man,
white beard, mustache,

tall and thin, pale,
age 65.

Like, I feel like
maybe he was born here,

and that evil got
right into him right away.

I wonder if those vines
made him turn bad.

Just that the vines
extend very far.

And I'm afraid
that they can k*ll.

You know, another thing
caught my attention in research.

There used to be a cult near the
house that Brittany grew up in,

and one of its members k*lled
himself right on the grounds.

So I'm heading over
to meet my old buddy,

retired detective, Tom Armelli,

who's looking into
this case for me.

I know this kid
committed su1c1de

right near my client's property,

but before we get to that, what
do you know about this kid?

Well, his name was
Charles Latcha.

He was 19 years old.

He comes
to Berlin Heights

to join this
free-love commune.

That sounds like some
kind of "woo-woo" crap.

How close was this place
to my client's property?

It's probably
about 800 feet

from the property that
you're looking at.

What happens with
this kid Charles?

Charles Latcha was
a printer by trade,

and when he came
to the commune,

they appointed him
to be in charge

of their newspaper.

What was this
group all about?

They gave up all their
worldly possessions,

they disavowed
their marriages.

The place became a magnet
for single women,

widows, divorcees,
and the like.

It was more or less
like a hippie commune

of this time period.

Sounds like a cult.

By today's definitions,

that's probably
exactly what it was.

Did the community
buy into this?

The Berlin Heights residents
did not take kindly

to this group of free-lovers
living in their town.

One of the things
they did was they att*cked

the wagons that were
delivering the newspapers,

that Latcha
had printed.

They wouldn't allow
the free-lovers' kids

to attend school
in Berlin Heights.

There actually came
a point in time

where the sheriff did
make several arrests

and charged some
of the free-lovers

with various
sex-related crimes.

They were all eventually
released with the agreement

that they would leave the
county and not come back.

From this point on,
the commune dwindled down

to very few members,

Charles being one
of the last holdouts.

Most of the community is gone,
but Charles stayed behind.

What happened?

On June 22nd, 1858,
Charles obtains a g*n.

After he penned
his su1c1de note,

he sh*t himself in the chest
at his print shop.

There were witnesses there
that I was able

to communicate with,
and at the time,

he was very upset,
he was cursing God,

cursing marriage, cursing
the whole free-love commune,

and that was the end.

Here's a copy of
Charles's su1c1de note

that he printed in
the free-love newspaper.

Wow, he went out
really bitter

about the whole thing.

Yes.

These vines affect
the living in horrible ways.

And I know that vines
carry heavy depression,

so it could cause somebody
to k*ll themselves.

I'm thinking this may have
happened to a male nearby.

He says, "It doesn't
matter, I didn't matter,

nothing matters," and, um...

I see a shotgun.

It's very graphic, it's bad.

It's just, blech.

I saw several
disturbing things

during my walk,
but two stood out.

First, the vines that
turn people evil.

They're thicker,
almost like arteries.

They're all over
the ground, alive,

but melded with the house.

Okay.

Next I described
the psycho woman

b*ating a living person
in a bedroom upstairs.

There was a female
in the bed, scared,

trying to pretend that
this is not happening.

Behind her is this dead woman

who has extremely long brown
hair, and she has no face.

Amy, is this
what you saw?

Yes, that's what I saw.

Now that Amy and I have
completed our investigations,

we're ready to reveal our
findings to each other

and our clients
for the first time.

Well, Amy, this is Brittany
and her mother Tammy.

Now, Brittany grew
up in this house,

and she says the paranormal
activity here

made her childhood
a living hell.

She called us in because
now that she's moved out,

whatever's here is
going after her mom.

Both of them are
convinced it's dangerous,

and if you can't
find a way to fix it,

Tammy's going to wind up
seriously hurt

or, God forbid, dead.

Now that Amy knows
a little bit about you guys,

I'm gonna ask her to
describe her walk for us.

When I got here, I saw
a male who committed su1c1de.

I heard a g*nsh*t,
and I heard this male saying,

"Nothing matters,
I don't matter."

And that was in
the backyard area.

Later on, I walked
down into the basement

and I ran into
the same dead male.

Boy, was he pissed.

I could not get anything,
history-wise,

concerning this male because
he did not want me down there.

There was a pretty
interesting su1c1de

right near here, actually.

The guy who k*lled
himself was a 19-year-old

named Charles Latcha.

Charles came to Berlin Heights
to join the cult

the free-love commune
in the 1850s.

Now, the commune bought
up about 90 acres in town

and set up their headquarters
just about 800 feet from here.

Now, back in that time,
this area was pretty religious.

People didn't like
what was going on,

so them, along with
the sheriff, wind up

running most of
the cult members out of town.

Latcha was pretty broken up
about the cult falling apart

because it's all he had,

and he fell into
a serious depression.

Now, on June 22, 1858,
he sh*t himself in the chest.

Okay, I got a su1c1de note here.

It's tough to read,
but basically in the note,

he talked about how much
he hated marriage,

and everything else
for that matter.

Wow.

Can he interact with
the living at all?

Yes. His energy is
extremely consuming.

If he's around,
then you're feeling

the anxiety and the need
to get the hell out of there

as quickly as possible.

The other thing
that he likes to do

is to make
a lot of noise.

So you hear loud banging,
crashing sounds.

He can get physical
with the living.

He got me from behind,

just grabbed my neck
and was squeezing super hard.

I think the living
would experience

neck pain from him.

Do you think it
has to do with

my neck pain
that I always have?

Yeah, definitely.

Tammy, do me a favor.

Tell Amy about the banging
and knocking sounds you hear.

It's very scary.

It's usually down,
like, underneath

the step area,
is where it's intense.

Growing up, we used
to always run up there

feeling like something's
gonna grab you.

- So what else?
- There's this little girl

from hell.

She's definitely one of the most
active dead people here.

She's about 4 or 5 years old.

I saw her wearing, like,
a little blue dress,

little pig tails.

She looks innocent, but she
has an evil element to her.

She has a lot of energy.

She's like a little tornado,
constantly running.

Running, running,
running like a maniac.

Yes.
Yeah, running up and down

the stairs,
around the room.

Interesting.

She likes to grab
and pull on things

that are within her reach,

and also she'll
affect electronics --

TVs, radios, lights,
things like that.

She can get really physical
with the living,

and one of the things
she kept doing to me was

punching my kidneys
and stuff,

just punch, punch,
punch, punch, punch.

So I think that people
would have lower back pain.

Well, some of the experiences
you're talking about

these guys
have been having.

Brittney, talk about
the little girl you saw

you told me about.

The little girl we saw
was outside of the garage,

and she was
wearing a white gown,

and brown hair.

Amy, Brittney's
sister, Mandy,

told me that
her radio stations

used to get
changed randomly.

They'd
randomly change from

alternative rock
to what sounds like

what you'd be in
the elevator listening to.

Wow.

Mandy also had an experience
with the drapes

going up and down
in her bedroom.

Would that be this kid?
Yeah.

Wow.

So now I'm upstairs,
and I ran into a dead woman.

What I got with her
is that she lived here

with her husband
and her children.

She looked
very well dressed,

very well put together,
but she's nasty.

This was between
1860-1870.

She is mentally unstable.

She hated her husband
and their children.

She doesn't like children,
but she had kids.

I feel like her kids d*ed.

There's been quite a few
deaths surrounding her.

Also, she either
k*lled herself

or she wanted
to k*ll herself.

It's not much to go on,
but based on the time period

I have an idea of who
you might've seen.

Now, her name
was Luticia Elson.

She and her
husband Joseph

bought and moved into
this house in 1874.

Now, they were
both farmers

and raised
12 children together.

Holy...

I don't know anything
about Luticia

hating her kids,
but her times in the house

were hard,
I can tell you that much.

In 1877, her adult
daughter Julia

d*ed from a blood infection.

She was 33 years old.

I got her death record.

Now, just three years
after that,

Luticia's daughter Maggie got
sick with a similar infection.

She d*ed right here
in the house in 1880.

Just three years later.
How old was she?

33.

Interesting.

I go there death record
here, as well.

You can imagine
it's pretty devastating

for a mother
to lose two kids.

Not long after Maggie d*ed,
Luticia's health went bad.

Luticia suffered from edema,
which is a very painful thing

that makes
the body tissues swell.

The doctor gave her
morphine to ease her pain.

Now, at some point, she
overdosed on morphine and d*ed.

She d*ed here when
she was 71 years old.

This is the record
about her death.

Luticia's funeral was also
held here in the house in 1880.

Is it even possible
that's who you saw?

I'm leaning more towards
maybe one of her daughters

because this woman
hated children.

Hated them.

She still hates them.

Maggie had no kids.

Well, that would
make sense.

Does she do anything
to these guys?

Yes.

Her energy is
extremely intense

and very overwhelming.

Being around her upstairs
you would feel

extremely anxious,
irritable, and nauseous.

She drains you, so she
can drain you like that.

I don't feel like
I ever get to sleep

because I'm drained
all the time.

The other thing
that she does,

possibly you would
see her,

and I saw
a younger woman.

I would put her --

I would've put her
in her 20s or 30s.

The thing that really
bothered me about her

is that she can be
extremely physical,

and that gets down
to hitting, choking,

and attacking the living
in your bed.

I saw an apparition
of a young lady.

She was, like, 20,
in a Victorian dress.

But at the time, to me,
it was peaceful.

It didn't scare me.

And then
I woke up startled,

and there was
a lady above me

and she was all white
with all this frizzy hair,

and when I got up,
I had a bite mark on my arm.

She was older,
she was like 50s.

Interesting.

Now, I got a photo of
the bite mark right here.

Aw, geez.

She also wakes up
with bruises.

Okay.

All right, so this bite,
the bruise,

and feeling drained,
is this all from

this woman
you're talking about?

Yeah.

I'm gonna show you something
that I saw in a sketch.

Geez.

My God.

Then there's two
ladies after me in bed?

No, there's just one,

but she can shift her
image to look like her.

She borrows images.

So it's the same woman you saw
in two different forms.

I got to ask you,
you called us in because

you were worried about
your mom.

When you see this,

I mean, what's going
through your mind?

It's horrible.

I don't want her
to be hurt.

And because this woman
hated kids so much,

I don't think this is
a safe environment

for children at all.

I have
a young daughter.

At a loss of words,
if I'm honest.

Now I'm gonna talk about
the biggest thr*at.

So I'm out
in the backyard,

and what I see are
these, like, vines.

They were dark black,
and they were coming

out of the ground
and engulfing the house.

What worries me
about these vines

is they can spread
depression and anger.

You guys felt
any of that?

I've felt sadness
before, randomly.

Yeah, you can feel emotions
that don't make sense.

It's not what you're
really feeling.

I don't know if
you guys would actually

see these vines,
but I did have

a sketch done
of what I saw.

Is there any way that
they can come inside?

Yes.

I think I know why Brittney's
asking you this question,

because of what we talked about,
what you saw inside the house.

So, we always refer
to them as "dark shadows."

Because they're
like a snake

and they'll go around
the ceilings

and up the walls.
Wow.

I see them pretty much every
day now during the day.

Now the shadows they're
seeing, are those these vines?

Yeah, I think so.

So the vines
that are coming

into the house can
carry negative energy

and emotions with them,

and can negatively affect
the living people inside.

If you're exposed
too long to the vines,

I think you would experience
suicidal thoughts,

a change in
personality, anger.

So, Amy, that's
one of the biggest

reasons we're here.

Tammy, when I talked
to your daughter Mandy,

she mentioned she noticed
a change in you.

That I was getting
a little bit short,

a little impatient.

So, could that be
from the vines?

Yes.

So the worst case
is that you

are infected by them,
i.e. becoming ill

and dying from them.

I'm really surprised
at what this really is,

'cause I thought for
sure it was, you know,

shadow people
and real demons,

so this is
kind of better.

I mean.

It's not good.

You've got, like, one
woman who's getting you

in these vines
that can k*ll people.

Brute downstairs that can
cause you physical pain.

But you think
it's not bad.

You think it's better
than what it was gonna be,

and there's someone
trying to k*ll you.

It doesn't make sense.

So, Brittney, you called
us in because you thought

your mother was in danger.

Now it's time to address the
question you called us in for.

Is it going to be safe
for your mom to stay here,

or should she just pack up

and get the hell out
while she can?

For that answer, I'm gonna
turn it over to Amy.

You can stay.

But there are
quite a few things

that you need to do.

First, get
a physical medium.

This medium needs to
come in and remove Maggie,

the woman upstairs.

The woman who d*ed
at 33 in the house?

Correct.
Okay.

Now this is
gonna be unusual,

but what I would
like you to do

is to get an audience
together for her,

and the medium is
gonna stand up

and is going to
relay for 60 minutes

the most important
things Maggie feels

occurred in her life.

Once that's done,
she will be moved on.

So once the medium comes in
and moves Maggie on,

basically, she'll
start feeling better?

Well, you won't
get b*at up.

I'm very happy
to hear that.

A few days later,
have the medium come back

and try to move on
the little girl.

After that, the medium
needs to go downstairs

and move the male on
that's down there.

This is going to take
a lot of convincing

because he feels
so at home

and so comfortable down there,
but it can be done.

Do you recommend
having the same medium

do all of it?

Yeah, I do.

The last thing
you need to do

is k*ll these vines.

You're going to get
a lot of tar water.

You're gonna put it
in a spray bottle,

and you're
gonna go outside,

and where the house
meets the ground

is where you're
aiming, okay?

You're gonna go
along the entire outside

of the house doing this.

Do not miss a spot.

When you're spraying
the tar water,

these are
shriveling and dying.

So the tar water
is gonna destroy

the vines that are
coming into the house?

Yes.

So that's everything
you have to do.

Once that's all done, though,
this house will be

safe enough to live in?

Yes.

It'll be very quiet.

Brittney, I'm curious.

Would you rather see your
mother move or do all this?

Be honest.

If I'm 100% honest,
I don't really trust

what's in the yard,
because you're gonna

be around that all
the time still,

and it could
still affect you.

So you'd rather see
your mom and dad move?

At this point, yeah,

but I know her,
and she'll be stubborn

and not listen when
it comes to staying here.

Knowing how your daughter
feels, what are you thinking?

I think we'll
do the work.

We have to at least try
and see how it works.

When will it be safe

for Brittney to bring
her daughter around?

As soon as the last thing's
been done basically,

with the tar water.

I think it's amazing.

You really
solved everything.

It's good
to have answers.

Brittney and Tammy have
a lot of work ahead of them,

but if they contact a medium
to remove the dead,

and k*ll the vines
with the tar water,

Tammy can stay in her home
and Brittney can find peace

knowing her mother will be safe.
