10x03 - Deadly Intentions

Post by bunniefuu »

I heard deadly intentions.

He's, like, really getting mad.

I don't feel comfortable.

I see blood just flowing.

I feel like almost being
buried alive.

There were people just buried
randomly around here.

It's like a huge
avalanche of gravel

that just came down
on these kids.

They want me out.

I'm in
a lot of pain.

Panic, panic, panic.

My name is Amy Allan.

I'm seeing, like, blood.

The house just feels bad.

I see dead people.

This man
is completely insane.

I speak to dead people...

Whoo. Okay.
She doesn't like it in there.

...and they speak to me.

He likes to twist that Kn*fe.

But there's only one way to know
if my findings are real.

Something paranormal
is trying to k*ll them.

I rely on my partner.

I'm Steve Di Schiavi.

I'm a retired New York City
homicide detective.

Now does he die right there,
on the spot?

I know every person,
every house has secrets.

I think it's trying
to steal my soul.

It's my job to reveal them.

You ever get touched
like that again?

But Steve and I never speak...

We never communicate
during an investigation.

...until the very end.

I'm as stunned as you guys are.

When we uncover if
it's safe for you to stay...

I don't want anything
to happen to my daughter.

Or time to get out.

His goal
is to k*ll you guys.

I'm in the small town
of New Franken, Wisconsin,

just 15 minutes east
of Green Bay.

I got a call from a woman
named Kelli.

Now she spent the last 2 years
and her life savings

converting an old house
into her dream business.

Now here's where the trouble is.

The activity is so bad,

she doesn't think it's safe
for anybody to be there,

and if we can't help her,

she's gonna have to
close her doors and walk away.

Before Amy arrives, I look
for any leading information.

This place has a lot of unique
and unusual items

that could influence
her findings,

so it's important I cover
or remove them all.

When I'm done,

the location will be ready
for tonight's walk.

I don't like this.

Right away, there's warnings,

warning after warning
after warning.

God. There's not good energy
in this damn place.

No. Mnh-mnh.

So there's something
with the land here.

There were people probably just
buried randomly around here.

These people are not at rest.

It attracts bad people.

You got to be a seedy...
to thrive on this land.

Kelli, when we spoke
on the phone, you sounded upset.

- What's going on?
- First of all, I am

extremely, extremely thankful
that you're here.

I mean, our dream
is literally crumbling.

Whatever entity is here,

I get the feeling
it doesn't want us here.

You used to live here.

- Correct.
- For how long?

About 12 years.

So when you guys lived in
the house, who all lived here?

It was me and my husband
and my four children.

Okay.

So when you guys were living
here, did you have any activity?

We did have some,
but it was nothing

that was real concerning
or serious.

It didn't get that way
until we started

renovating for the business.

Is it a family business?
What's the story?

Yes and no. My husband
is supportive of me,

but it's really me
and my business partner.

Okay. And who's
your business partner?

- Her name is Kelly as well.
- Okay.

What kind of business
do you guys want to open?

An alternative healing
business,

reiki energy healing
and a holistic cafe.

But overwhelming sense I get
is that whatever is here

doesn't want us to
help people.

Okay.

It sounds like the kind of place
my partner would like.

You know, Kelli,
not for nothing,

but this place doesn't really
look like it's ready to open.

I mean, that's one of
the main reasons we need you.

We have tried really hard
to get it off the ground,

but every time we come
over here to work,

the activity goes insane,
and we have to leave.

So what do you think
started it?

It started when
we tore down the walls,

and we found tons and tons
and tons of stuff in the walls.

So you found all this crap
behind the walls?

Yes.

And everything got 10 times,
20 times, 100 times worse.

Give me a list of experiences
you guys are having.

A lot of footsteps
and voices.
Okay.

Shadow figures,
personality changes,

and now it's become
physically violent.

So when you say "personality
changes," what do you mean?

It seems
to be over the top.

When you get mad,
you get really mad.

When you get sad,
you get depressed.

And for me,
that is not normal.

What if Amy did tell you,

"Listen, you gotta walk away
from this place.

It's never gonna be able
to get fixed"?

Just the idea of walking away
is heartbreaking.

I've put everything
into this.

There's some dead dude
with me.

He doesn't want me here.

He keeps trying to...

confuse me.

What sort of stuff
was he doing?

He was trying to block me.

Like, jumbling up my...

thoughts.

He is not good.

He said he'll hurt me,
poking me in the eye.

I'm in a lot of pain.

I don't think
that it's a good idea to...

go down there.

All right,
so what's going on down here?

The most pronounced thing
that bothers me is depression.

As soon as I come downstairs,
I start feeling heavy.

- Are you feeling that right now?
- For sure.

I feel like almost being
buried alive.

I don't stay down here
long, ever.

Okay. So anything else?

The next thing
that comes to mind --

in my office, in the very
back corner of the house,

I saw a distinct solid,
dark gray, black-ish shadow.

So anything else?

When I lived here,
I started randomly getting

very bad body pain --
my ankles, lower body.

Okay. I mean, you lived here
a long time.

What makes you think
it's paranormal?

It got better
when I moved out.

Why don't you just
cut your losses,

sell this place, and get
the hell out of here?

My heart is like, "Come on.

There's got to be a way
to make it work."

I want to be able to help
as many people as possible,

and right now,
it's just not possible.

Boy. This is the angry guy's
space down here.

He can instill fear in people,

so maybe making
growling noises, yelling.

"This is all mine. Get away."

He's physically capable
of punching and poking.

I feel drunk and sick.

I'm getting punched
in the kidney area.

Kelly, I was talking
to your partner.

She's got pretty bad things
going on here.

I mean, how about you?

I'm ready to take everything
and leave.

- That bad?
- Yeah.

If we could fix it, make this
place safer for you guys,

would you consider staying?
- Yeah.

I've put everything
that I am into this,

but there's a lot going on here
that I can't explain,

and I feel like
it's targeting me.

As far as experiences go, what
can you tell me that you've had?

I've come into my office,
and things have been moved,

things, usually, that mean
something to me,

that I was putting
my heart into.

Are you sure nobody was, maybe,
just messing around with you

as far as moving stuff around?
It's a big building.

Nobody was
messing around with me.

I had asked everyone,
and nobody had been here.

Okay. So anything else?

I saw a shadow person
looking at me in the basement.

All right.
So did it look like a person,

where that you can
identify them?

I don't want to see anything,

so I don't let my mind see
anything past a shadow shape.

- Okay.
- I feel like he's a torturer.

What's giving you that sense?

It's just a feeling,

a really sinking,
evil feeling.

Dear, dear.

I don't like this room
in particular.

Someone is trying to put
good energy in here,

but it's no good.

They're just gonna, you know,
get sick and hurt.

This dead guy keeps
messing with me.

Do you have any idea
what this guy wants?

He wants everybody out.

Would you say people
are in danger here?

Yeah, they are.

This is the worst place
in the house for me.

What's going on?

I get sick
when I come up here.

I start to feel, like,
in my stomach,

and then I start gagging.

I mean, is that something
that you go through

when you're not here?
- No.

Is anything else going on?

I feel like something
physically squeezes me.

Do you feel hands
wrapped around you or...

No. Like, my whole body
feels like it's being squeezed.

Okay. Anything else physical
happening like that?

I got a scratch
on my lower back.

I was at the bottom
of the stairs.

I saw the shadow person.

Okay.

And then I felt the burn,
and I had Kelli look at it,

and it was a scratch
across my back.

Okay. So how long of a scratch
are we talking about?

Maybe, like, 3 inches.

And you didn't catch
your back on anything

going down the steps
or anything like that?

- No.
- Okay.

I don't feel comfortable.

In what way?

I just want
to go downstairs now.

- Okay.
- Are we done here, or does...

Yeah. Let's go. Come on.

- I'm sorry.
- No, it's okay.

I'm hearing a woman's voice.

She's saying someone d*ed here,
and it was very sudden.

You would feel despair.

This is where she comes
to be sad and lonely.

She's not good.

That's sad,
bringing up sad, sad.

I'm feeling very sad, very sad.

So, David,
I was talking to your wife

and her partner Kelli.
- Right.

They're both pretty freaked out
by what's going on here.

Yeah.

Do you think it's a good idea
for your wife and her partner

to make this a healing place?
- I'm behind them 100%,

but I think this is
the wrong place,

and this place is really,
really weighing heavily on them.

Do you believe there's stuff
going on in this place?

At first,
I didn't believe it.

What happened
to change your mind?

Even now, at this moment, I feel
a really big sense of dread,

like somebody is sitting
on my shoulders,

and he weighs
a lot more than I do.

You're talking about
physically or emotionally?

Physically.

And are you feeling that way
right now?

- Yes.
- Is anything else going on?

Out in the barn, I saw something
out of the corner of my eye,

and I look, and it looked
like a black figure

wearing a cape, with eyes,
just sitting on a rafter.

And then, when I actually
concentrated, I'm like,

"What am I seeing?"
Then it's not there.

Do you get a sense of
what size it might have been?

Tall, over 6-foot.

I mean, did it look like
it was staring at you?

Totally.

It was, like, you know how
you get that creepy feeling

when you're in a crowd,

and you got that one dude
just staring at you?

- That's what it felt like?
- Yeah.

And you're wondering like,
"Why is he staring at me?"

So now that we are here,
what are you hoping

we could do for you?

I want whatever is here gone.
I don't know what to do.

I've tried everything.

I feel like somebody, like,
living out here.

You know, there's a lot
of wandering dead,

I guess I would say.

Here I'm seeing a lot of, like,
shadow people.

They're not good.

They make me feel uneasy,
and I don't know.

It's almost like they're
all standing at bay.

How many do you see?

About 12. 13, maybe.

I- I-I hear deadly intentions.

So, Nevin, I was talking
to both your parents,

and they were saying
that,

some pretty dangerous stuff
going on this property.

You agree with that?

Yeah.

So I talked to Kelli and Dave's
kids out in the barn...

I would get this really just
weird feeling like somebody

was standing outside,

watching me,
but looking through me.

...and all of them are glad
to be out of that house.

I felt like somebody
would always be watching me,

and it was super,
super creepy, honestly,

and I would not want to leave
my room at night at all.

Okay.

And I can see why,

especially when I spoke
to their oldest daughter Kayla.

One time I woke up, and I had
a puncture wound by my eye.

How bad was it?

It was pretty deep,
and it was running down my face.

You wear jewelry to bed,
anything like that?
No.

Is there any chance you could
have done that with your nails?

No. It looked like
a clear s*ab,

direct, like an actual,
like, hole.

Now is anything else
going on?

I would wake up in the middle
of the night

and see shadow figures
in front of my closet.

Could you make out
what they look like?

They look like a person.

That you could see through it,
or was it solid dark?

Pretty solid dark.

Would you ever
come back here and live?

- No.
- Even if we fixed it?

No.

These shadow people
are everywhere.

Yeah, there's more, like,
coming.

I don't like this.

I'm thinking they were people,
yeah, but they have pain.

They have pain
that they suffered.

They're, like, disturbed.

Yeah, I don't like this.

So there's, like,
a watcher here.

It's like a standing post,
and he alerted,

I think, the others.

Very strategic.

The watcher is the leader
of this group of shadow people.

I think he sees us
and senses danger.

Do you know if the living would
have any experiences with these?

Yeah.

I think they would see
the one, for sure.

I see him...I think
going underneath the ground,

so I think basement.

Do you think the living might
be in any danger from these?

I do. Yeah. I think they're
hostile, they're angry.

But when they're around,
bad things happen.

They're not death,
but they, like,

they're with all the death.

We are literally
in the middle of nowhere.

It seems there's more cornfields
out here than humans.

So I was kind of worried

I wouldn't be able to find much
history on Kelli's property.

But I just got a call
from a genealogist who says

one of the original owners
has a story

I'm definitely gonna
wanna know about.

Dave, you mentioned,
on the phone,

that the original owner
of my client's property

had a pretty tough time,

But before we get to that,

who were they
and when did they get there?

The first owners of
the property in question here

is the Delvaux family,
and they got here in 1856.

All right. So how much of
my client's land did they buy?

- They had purchased 82 acres.
- Okay.

So I can assume, with all that
property, they were farmers.

Right. They were local farmers,
but then John Joseph Delvaux,

who was the patriarch
of the family,

ended up getting involved
in local politics.

So you had mentioned
on the phone,

the family had
some crazy times there.

So when did that start?

It first starts in 1889

when John Joseph Delvaux gets
involved in a voting scandal.

Okay. So what happened?

The assemblyman candidate
offers John Joseph Delvaux

the position of postmaster
if he votes for him.

Delvaux accepted the bribe.

In fact, here's an article
describing what had happened

at that point in time.
- Okay.

So basically, this guy
sold his vote.

Yes. He did.

All right.
So what happens next?

John Joseph gets caught
and he has to appear in court.

Then he has to testify
that he accepted the bribe

and also that he had changed
the election results.

All right. Did he do
any jail time, though?

- No.
- All right.

So he gets away with this bribe.
What happens next?

Later that year, his wife Mary
dies on the property,

and she was 69 years old.
And 2 years after that,

his son Edward dies
of tuberculosis, consumption,

at the age of 29.

This is a pretty busy couple
of years for this guy.

I mean, what happened next?

Well, unfortunately,
in 1893,

John Joseph Delvaux
also passes away.

He dies of kidney failure.

- Did he die on the property?
- Yes. He did.

Okay. So how old was
John Joseph when he d*ed?

He was 69 also,
same age as his wife.

Okay. So within a 4-year span,
he goes through a scandal,

loses his wife, his son,
and then he drops dead.

Right.

All of these people d*ed
on my client's property.

Correct.

I'm seeing
the angry guy again.

Have you been able to get
anything on who he was in life?

I got a lot of things
'cause he's saying

he owns this, the land.

I do think this guy
had a family.

I'm thinking he was married.

I think he was really smart.

I'm also getting
unethical things with money.

I think he got busted.

He's, like, really getting mad.

There is an illness
within this person.

I think that's probably
what he d*ed from.

Okay. So now the patriarch
of the family is dead.

His son is dead.
His wife's dead.

What happens to the property

Melanie, Edward's wife,

stays on the property
with her two children.

Wow. Does it get better
for her after that?

No. Actually, it doesn't.
In fact, it gets worse.

She remarries
another local farmer

whose name was Felix LaRose,

and they are married in 1895.

After less than 4 years,

ends up dying from
the same disease

her first husband dies from,
which was consumption.

He was only 41 years old.

This woman can't catch
a break, can she?

No. In 1905, her oldest son,
Bernard, ends up dying

from the same disease,
consumption.

- How old was he?
- He was only 18 years old.

So this woman basically
lost her entire family

on my client's property?
- Yes.

And she dies in 1944
at the age of 81,

and she is buried along
with the others,

which is only about 100 yards
away from the original property.

You weren't kidding
when you said on the phone

it was a crazy story,
but sad as well.

Yes, very sad.

I'm seeing
the sad woman again.

She might not know she's dead,
but I think she lived here.

I'd put her, like, 1890, 1910.

She's probably, like,
40 or 50 years of age.

She's short.

She's overweight
in, like, a weird way.

Like, she seems real ornery,
like, very lonely.

She's pretty obsessed
with thoughts about death,

the overwhelming feeling
of loss,

and it was, like, more than one.

So many people that
this person witnessed dying

or went through death.

From all of this loss
is the fixation with death,

and that fear, like,
consumes all the time.

So far, I know
one of the original owners

of my client's property was
involved in a voting scandal,

and several members
of his family

are buried within 100 yards
of Kelli's home,

but I want to see
if there's anything else.

Searching through old records,
I find a deadly fire

that swept through
New Franken in 1871.

I'm headed to meet an archivist

who says the fire
was a complete disaster

and pretty much burnt Kelli's
neighborhood to the ground.

So, Mary Jane, I appreciate
you meeting me.

I know this fire wiped out
the area where my clients live.

Can you give me a time line
and what happened?

Well, October 8, 1871. It was
extremely dry that summer.

They were
in a severe drought.

There were a number of
little fires that had started.

They just all merged,

and that just created
firestorm, basically.

Because of the winds,

you can actually have something
similar to a tornado of fire,

and that's what overtook
New Franken.

Wow. So, Mary Jane,
how big was this fire?

It was basically 75 miles long
and about 45 miles wide.

It stretched from Green Bay
all the way up into Michigan.

Okay. So as far as damage goes,
what are we talking about?

Everything.
Everything was gone.

The whole entire community
of New Franken was wiped out.

So what are we talking about
as far as a body count?

1,200 casualties
that we know, for sure.

- Wow.
-75 casualties in New Franken.

That seems like a lot,

considering the size
of the town.
Yes.

How come this is --
This is a pretty big fire.

How come I've never heard
of this thing?

Well, primarily
because the Chicago Fire

was on the same day.
- Okay.

And because of Chicago's size
and national prominence,

that one overshadowed
all the other fires.

So I am seeing fire.

Like, it feels like
a long happening event.

Like, days.

The land here was, like,
traumatized.

Then there's this other fire,
and I think, like,

100 people d*ed in that one.

This land is not good. I would
say up to 10 miles around.

This is pretty big.

The earth all around is bad,
bad, bad, bad, bad.

I just see blood.

I see blood just flowing, blood
just flowing, flowing, flowing.

You know, another thing caught
my attention in research.

A 15-year-old boy was k*lled
in a freak accident

just down the street
from Kelli's building.

I'm headed over to meet
with a local historian

who's looking into it for me

and says the way this kid d*ed
is just heartbreaking.

Well, Tim, thanks for
helping me out with this case.

I appreciate that.

So on the phone,
you mentioned

that this kid d*ed
in a pretty heartbreaking way.

What the hell happened?

On August 24, 1923,
these two young men, actually,

were digging and collecting
rocks in a gravel pit

just a block down from
your client's property.

All right.
So who were these two?

Well, one was a young kid
by the name of John Vandervest.

- He was 15.
- Okay.

And he was with his
brother-in-law John Brunner,

who was in his 20s.

And what happened?

Out of nowhere,
the walls start caving in.

It's, like,
a huge avalanche of gravel

that just came down
on these kids,

and John Brunner was actually
buried right to his neck,

but he was still able
to yell for help.

Did they rescue
both of them?

They were only able
to save John Brunner.

John Vandervest, actually,
was crushed to death.

And actually, here's
an article about it.

The older kid was okay,

and the 15-year-old
gets crushed to death.

What a way to go.

I couldn't even imagine
being a parent

and knowing my kid
d*ed like that.

That would just k*ll me.

I'm hearing laughing.

I think they're kids.

They're just playing.

Yeesh.

Something very traumatic
happened to them.

There was an accident.

I'm feeling them buried,
but they're not.

I'm feeling worried,
panicked, fear.

I saw several
disturbing things on my walk,

but two really stood out.

First, the sad woman.

She was probably

late 50s to mid-60s,
very large eyes.

Her chin is very small.

Next, I described a group
of shadow figures

and their leader,
gathered outside the barn.

It was, like, 6'5"
to 7-feet tall,

and then there were others
that were coming.

Is this what you saw?

Yes. That's what I saw.

Now that Amy and I have
completed our investigations,

we're ready to reveal
our findings to each other

and our clients
for the first time.

So, Amy, I'd like you
to meet Kelli.

She used to live here
with her husband and four kids.

I have a photo of
the whole family right here.

So a couple of years ago,
she moved her whole family out

so that she and her
business partner,

also named Kelly,
could turn this place

into an alternative
healing center.

That's when all hell
broke loose.

Bottom line is,
if we can't help,

they're going to have
to close the doors

on their dream business.

What kind of healing center
do you want to open?

My dream for this place
is for it to be

an alternative
healing retreat center

where people could come and stay
and have alternative treatments

and experience healing.

But no matter how we foofie
this up and make it look pretty

and whatever, we can't
get the vibe that we want.

Now that Amy knows a little bit
about you guys,

I'll ask her to talk about
her walk.

The first individual that
I encountered was a female.

She believes that the entire
upstairs area is for her

and should be just hers.

With her is
a lot of sadness,

and also,
she feels extremely lonely.

There's a back part of the attic
where she likes to go.

I think that if living people
spent a lot of time up there,

they would take
these emotions on

and they could have
suicidal inclinations.

I was interviewing Kelly
up in the attic the other day,

and there's some footage here
I want you to see.

Here it is.

I want you to...

I want you to see her reaction
just from being in the attic.

-I don't feel comfortable.
-In what way?

I just want
to go downstairs now.

I'm just
really uncomfortable.

Can we -- Are we done here,
or does it...

Yeah. Let's go. Come on.

Do me a favor.

Explain to Amy, you know,
what you were going through.

I first feel it in my stomach,

and then it feels, like,
really sick,

and it kind of feels
like too much emotion

that I can't handle,

and then I kind of start gagging

and feel like
I'm going to throw up.

Kelli, you said you had
depression throughout the house.

Yes, just ultra sad
doom and gloom, depressed.

My daughter Kayla,
she's had

emotions up and down
and sideways for years.

The whole time we were
living here,

she absolutely hated
living here.

When I spoke to her,
she said that,

once she left the house,
she was fine.

- Is that right?
- She's well, but yeah.

Interesting.

Now all the stuff
we just talked about,

including the other Kelly,

is that all caused by
this old lady?

Yes.

Okay. So you got any ideas
who she might have been

when she was alive?

I would think that she was
in her late 40s,

maybe late 50s, even.

She was short.

She was overweight.

I believe that she lived here
at some point.

She lost a lot of people
throughout her life,

and I think that added
to her constant state

of depression and loneliness.

And I also got that there was
some kind of illness involved

with this woman.

A lot of what you said
reminds me of a woman

that used to live here
named Melanie Delvaux.

She moved onto the property
when she married

her husband Edward back in 1882.

In 1891, Edward d*ed on
the property of tuberculosis.

I got his obit.

So Melanie was left here
with two small kids

and her elderly
father-in-law.

Two years later,
her father-in-law d*ed here

of kidney failure.

Melanie stayed on the land.

She didn't move from here
and he tried to start over.

She remarried a guy named
Felix LaRose,

but he wound up dying
4 years later on this land.

Now he was only 41 at the time,

and he also d*ed
of tuberculosis.

Unfortunately, there's one more.

Her son d*ed at the age of 18,

and he also d*ed of TB
on the property.

Completely devastated,
and she picked up and moved.

She passed away
at the age of 81 in 1944.

Now get this -- Melanie
and her entire family are buried

at that church that's only,
like, 100 yards from here.

So I do have a picture here
of Melanie.

I'm curious if this is who
you think you might have saw.

I had a sketch done.

Well...

What's -- what's bothering you
about that sketch, Kelly?

Her eyes. I don't want
to look at them anymore.

I try to just block it out.

That's kind of
why you get sick, though...

because you block it out.

The next individual that I came
into contact with was a male,

and he's an issue.

He's extremely strong,
very present, and very angry.

Living people who are here
who are exposed to this man

would absolutely feel,
like, his anger.

Whenever I was trying to get
clear information about him,

it was chaos.

He was trying to confuse me,

misdirect me,
manipulate my thoughts.

I've had confusion.

Like, I've had some episodes
where it's like,

"The hell am I
even doing here?"

He was absolutely doing
everything in his power

to get me out of here,
and he poked me in the eye.

He started punching me
in the kidneys.

He was just trying
to hurt me.

So, obviously, I think he would
be physical with living people.

Poking, hitting, pushing,
he can do all that.

He led me down to the basement,
so he likes that area the most.

It's his area.

He doesn't want
anybody in there.

Well, you're describing
a lot of the things

our clients are
going through here.

You were talking to me about,
when you lived here,

the unexplained body pains.

In particular, my ankles feeling
like they're been shattered,

like somebody hit them
with a baseball bat,

and they felt like
they were broken.

And, Kelli, do me a favor,
and tell Amy

how your daughter Kayla woke up
with the injury

on her left side of
her eye there.

Kayla had an unexplained
puncture wound in her eye.

She woke up in the morning,
and there was blood.

We looked for a cause
everywhere, found nothing.

I got scratched
on my lower back,

and I don't know how
it happened.

They want me out.

Now any chance this could be

the angry guy
you're talking about?

Yeah.

Now did you get anything
on this guy in life?

It was, like, difficult to get
any information off of him,

but I believe that he,
at one point,

owned this land or location.

He was married.

He had two children,
I believe.

I also got that he was
very intelligent with money,

but he did
some very shady things

that got him into trouble.

I kept hearing the word
"unethical" with him,

and that he did get busted

for some of the things
that he had done.

Well, it's not a lot to go on,
but you remember,

I was talking about
Melanie Delvaux.

Some of the things
you mentioned made me think

of her father-in-law
John Joseph Delvaux.

Now he bought
this property in 1856.

What really caught my attention
is when you said

the word "unethical."

Now Delvaux was involved
in local politics.

In 1889, he got caught up
in a bribery scandal.

So a local state
assembly candidate

promised Delvaux
a political appointment

if he used his influence
to get him elected,

so Delvaux agreed,

but, like the guy you saw,
Delvaux got caught.

He never did any time,
but he did have to go to court

and testify as to what he did.

There's an actual article
on it right here.

Basically, the judge
gave him an earful.

So now this guy lived
on the property,

and he d*ed on the property,

and he's also buried
in the cemetery next door.

Man.

When the walk was done,
I went to the cemetery,

and I felt that
some of the activity

that's going on here
is from there.

Great.

Anything else?

One of the most important
things that I got

is that this property
sits on very bad land.

One of the things that
traumatized this land

was a fire.

I got, then, two fires.

I know many people d*ed,
so I saw a river of blood,

and since that time,
this land has been bad.

Well, there's something you
definitely need to know about.

Back in 1871, the most
devastating fire

in the history of
this country hit this area.

You said you saw what seemed
like more than one fire.

Well, that's exactly
what happened.

It was two smaller fires,
a couple of fires, that merged

and then
became one major fire

that actually was
75 miles long.

Now the expert that I talked
to actually described it

as a tornado of fire.

By the time the fire was out,

it had k*lled over 1,200 people
from here to Michigan.

75 of those deaths
were right here in your town

because I don't think you got
75 people in this town now.

Wow.
It makes perfect sense.

Is there anything else?

So when I went into
the backyard,

and I saw this shadow person
start to approach me,

it's a watcher.
It was pretty big.

and then I'm looking around,

and I see other shadow people.

Dead people, though,

and there was probably,
I think, like, 12 to 13 in all,

and I just felt
very uncomfortable.

They were approaching me.

I definitely felt that
they were hostile and angry.

I was unnerved, and then I saw
this shadow person

dove into the ground
and then went under

and showed me
him going into the basement.

So I think that living people
would probably see shadow beings

both inside and outside.

Just about everybody
I interviewed,

in this case, saw shadow people.

Kelly, why don't you
tell Amy about the one

you saw in the basement?

He just makes me uncomfortable,

and I just had a feeling
like he was just evil.

I don't go down in the basement
because of him.

Well, it's funny because,
when I spoke to your husband...

...he said he saw a guy hanging,
a shadow figure,

hanging from the rafters
in the barn.

Not good.

When the shadow people
are around,

they can make bad things happen,
like accidents.

So are the shadow figures
that you saw

probably the same ones
that they saw?

I think so.

I had a sketch done.

I don't want to freak
you out, but...

Wow.

It just makes me feel sick.

It scares me, like, a lot
and hurts my stomach.

That's literally what
I feel like outside.

You couldn't pay me to walk
around the barn at night.

It's heartbreaking, really.

You okay?

No.

That's a lot of stuff
that's happened.

You can't do light work
in a dark place.

So, ladies, based on
what Amy has told us tonight,

it's a damn good thing you guys
never opened up the business,

especially for people
who were in need of healing.

Now we're going to answer
the big question.

Can you get rid of the dead
that are here

and open up the doors
to your dream business?

For that, I'm going to
turn it over to Amy.

You guys kind of already know
the answer to this one,

and I think you've known
for awhile.

So unfortunately, I don't think
that it's safe to stay here.

The dead don't rest.

Like, they have
deadly intentions.

More than likely, they're not
going to go anywhere.

And they do have
traumatized land

that would really like to just
be left alone altogether.

You can try to push
the good in here,

but it just isn't
ever going to take.

The best advice
I can give is, get out.

Wow. Do I just
up and sell the place?

Yes.

So if they would have opened
up the door for business,

what could have happened?

All hell would have
broken loose.

I'm, like, getting chills
just thinking about, like,

what could have happened.

So the activity
would have just got worse.

My. Yes.

Well, unfortunately,
this is not the answers

I was hoping you guys
were gonna get.

It's numbing.

I mean, I don't even
really have words,

but it's kind of a smack
in the face,

like, reality check,
so it sucks.

I'm not surprised.

I'm still really raw, like,
about everything.

I think I know the answer to
this, but are you gonna take

Amy's advice
and sell this place?

Yeah.

Yeah. We got a little too much
to deal with.

I still wonder
how in the world

I stayed here that long,
to be honest.

I'm sorry about
the bad news, guys.

I wish we had better news
for you. I really do.

We're thankful.

I'm thankful that
I know for sure.

My heart has been breaking
for awhile over it.

This doesn't mean you guys can't
do business someplace else.

No.
No.

We're never going to
give up on that.
No.

Nobody should ever give up
on what their dream

is just because
they hit a roadblock.

We won't stop.
It's not going to...

I'm not going to let this house,
you know, this land,

this place determine my future.

- No.
- It's not happening.

I wish I had better news
for the two Kellys,

but their best option
is to sell this place.

If they do that, they can
leave the bad land

and the dead
terrorizing them behind

and begin their dream of opening

an alternative healing center
someplace else.
