- 'Yee!'
- 'Yee-haw!

You know, Daisy, I do believe

our cousin looks
a little bit nervous.

Yeah, you could say so.

- Hey, Luke?
- Huh?

You a little nervous?

I guess so.

I can't says I blame you.
It's been a long time, ain't it?

Seven years. I say
that's a real long time.

Now, Luke is tighter
than a preacher's hatband.

And the reason is
over at the Boar's Nest.

And that's the reason,
Miss Candy Dix.

You see, though Luke
was in the Marines

he courted Candy.

Luke was a Lance Corporal

and she was just
starting her singing career.

They haven't seen
each other since.

Sometimes old
Luke ain't too swift.

Yeah, you want her
autograph too, don't you?

She's gonna be appearing
here at the Boar's Nest.

'That's it. Oh,
ain't that pretty.'

Now, that too slick
looking fellow on the phone

is Candy's manager,
Eddie Lee Memphis

from Nashville.

The other dude is his
cousin, Hoby Willis.

Please, Mr. Starkey,
I need more time.

Give me a few more days, please?

Eddie Lee, a man gambles.
A man loses. A man pays.

One way or the other.

Now, if I don't get that
, you owe by sundown

you're going to
pay... the other way.

Hoby, that man's
gonna k*ll me for sure.

What're you gonna do?

Only one thing I can.

Look through my things,
see it there's anything left

to borrow on.

Everything, including
this motor home

is already mortgaged as it is.

I know it, Hoby. I know it.

I gotta find something..

Or some way to get that money.

I'm gonna end up the
late Eddie Lee Memphis.

'You know what, Flash?'

Daddy's gonna go
sneaking into the Boar's Nest

and see that pretty Candy
Dix. You know, the singer?

And I'm gonna get a
personalized autograph from her.

Oh, then I'll get a personal
autographed picture

of her bow-wow for you too.

'Oh, it's them Dukes.
Alright, here we go.'

'Neither sleet nor rain nor..'

'What is that? People
always say that.'

Oh, no! Here we go again.

'Great. Another one
of Rosco's speed traps.'

Hey, Bo, we're late
already. Come on.

'Luke, will you just calm down?'

'I ain't never not got
you there before, have I?'

Uh-oh.

- Bro?
- Ah-huh.

- Oh, no.
- Well, uh, hang on.

Oh!

Hang on to your flea
collar. Here we go!

'Oh, Flash. Oh!'

Hey, y'all, what do you call

Rosco P. Coltrane in
a tree full of monkeys?

Branch manager.

There ain't diddly here, Hoby.

- Hey, Hoby.
- Howdy?

Show's startin'. Comin'?

What are you doing?

None of your business.

Hey, how come you
can't ever talk nice to me?

Honey, I got a problem now.

Don't ask for nice
till I figure it out.

All I meant was...

Well, all you gotta
worry about is singing 'em

pretty little songs that
you wrote, you hear?

Now, leave me be. I gotta think.

Hey, Eddie Lee,
look what I found.

Maybe you can borrow
against that insurance policy.

This is the insurance policy I
took out last year on Candy.

This will do it,
Hoby. This will do it.

Do what?

It's worth $ , .

I'm the beneficiary.

Oh, yeah, but that means you
can only collect if Candy dies.

You said it, Hoby. I didn't.

But, Eddie Lee... m*rder?

'Hold it, guys.'

Um, I'm stopping 'cause
I'd like to dedicate this song

to a real good friend
of mine, Luke Duke.

Hey, knock it off!

Let me tell you, uh, Eddie Lee

that gal sure is somethin'.

- Uh-huh.
- Yeah.

She could been a-I mean,
uh, she's gonna be a big star.

Oh, yeah. A big star. Yeah.

'Rosco, you caught
them Duke boys yet?'

That's a big fat negatory, Boss.

Uh, the Dukes got away.

'They got away? You numbskull,
you knucklehead, you peabrain.'

Come on, I want you
both to meet Candy.

Yeah, well, two's company,
four's a crowd, Luke.

She sure is good.

Yeah, as soon as
she gets a look at me

Luke's gonna lose
her all over again.

- Oh, yeah?
- I doubt that.

How do I look?

Hm-mm.

- You look great. Get in there.
- Yeah.

Who is it?

'Ghost from the past.'

You were great. You were great.

Oh, God. I was so
hoping you would come.

- I'm sorry I haven't writ..
- I'm so sorry I didn't write.

You're crazy.

Candy you are doing
just.. You're doing great.

Thanks, Luke.

So, what're you doing here
in a place like the Boar's Nest?

Well, I wrote some new
material and I needed a little club

that was kinda
outta the way to try it.

Well, you found that, alright.

But I'll bet there's a hundred
other clubs just like it.

You know I want to see you.

Listen, I'm gonna
need to talk to you

and I need your help.

Whatever you need, you got it.

We got all day
to spend together.

I'd like that.

Hoby. Eddie Lee, my
manager. This is Luke Duke.

- Pleased to meet you both.
- How you doing?

Alright.

We gonna spend the day together.

Uh, I'm afraid not, Candy.

We got some important
business we gotta do today.

Nothing can be more
important than my seeing Luke.

Now, Candy, come on.

I'm not asking
you. I'm telling you.

Why don't you go back
and finish dressing, alright?

I think the lady oughta be able

to choose what she does.

Do yourself a favor, Duke

and let me do the
thinking, alright?

- Luke, will you wait outside?
- You bet.

Excuse me, gentlemen.

You two mind hanging
around a while?

No. Where's Candy?

- Something wrong?
- Yeah, there sure is.

I ain't leaving till I
find out what it is.

Hey, where do you
think you're going?

I'm gonna talk to Luke.

No, I tell you
what you gotta do.

You gotta come with me. Now.

Hey, hang on a second, friend.

You just turn
her loose, alright?

Listen, I ain't your friend.
And this ain't your business.

Ah!

- Luke?
- I was hoping he'd do that.

Now, don't hurt him.

Hey, don't you think
you better help him?

Nope.

Yeah, I see what you mean, Bo.

Come on, let's get outta here.

Hey, Luke. What
was all that about?

- Excuse me.
- I'll tell you later.

Okay.

- Oh.
- Scoot in there.

Come on. We gotta get her
back or I'm as good as dead.

'We didn't get a chance
to introduce anybody.'

Bo, Daisy, this here is Candy.

'These are my
cousins, Daisy and Bo.'

Hey, Candy. Nice to meet you.

Hi. Nice to meet you.

Boy, I tell you one thing.
My cousin sure was right.

You just pretty as a rainbow
and sing like a little bird.

Ah, thanks, Bo.

Just keep it up, Bo.

And you know what, Bo?

I don't think they
need our company.

- So, why don't you just drive?
- Okay.

Wait a minute, they might
not need our company

but we gotta little company
we can't do nothing about now.

- It's Eddie Lee and Hoby.
- Good.

Got a chance to finish
this once and for all.

Bo, look out!

I can think of
smarter things to do

than chase Luke and try to take

his woman away from
him. Like eating a grenade.

Now, hold it right there, boys.

Candy, get out of that car.

Stay put, Candy.

Do as Luke says.

Hoby, keep them covered.

I'm gonna teach
this guy a lesson.

You know, I had a
teacher like that once.

It never works.

Let's go. Look out.

- Hoby, we gotta get Candy back.
- Yeah. How?

They could go anywhere
in the county right now

and we don't know the territory.

What about that J.D. Hogg guy?

He knows everybody
and everything in Hazzard.

Come on. Let's get him to help.

- Yep, here it is.
- Gosh, sorry, Luke.

Not used to getting
out of that window.

- You got her?
- Yeah, she's a pro.

Hey, you got that down.

- Hey, Uncle Jesse.
- Pretty handy at that.

Jesse, I got somebody
I want you to meet.

- 'Oh?'
- Yeah.

Luke took Candy back to the farm

and introduced
her to Uncle Jesse.

Candy dedicated this
beautiful song to Luke.

It was really somethin'.

It was Luke who gave me
the courage to try for a career.

When we first met, I was just
this scared little country girl.

He helped me believe in myself.

Well, Luke's apt to do that.

Uh, Luke, why don't you
show Candy around the place

while Bo and Daisy and me go in

and fix something
scrumptious for this pretty girl?

Sweet talking sure
runs in this family.

Looks like she's
got us figured out.

Yeah, I guess so.

Come on.

Oh, Luke, I thought a lot
about you over the years.

sh**t, I thought a lot
about usover the years.

Us?

Well, how come
you never proposed?

Oh, I proposed
about a hundred times

standing right in
front of my mirror.

- But you never asked me.
- I suppose I was scared.

I was in the service

I didn't know what I was
gonna do when or if I got back.

Then there's your career.

I always knew you
was gonna make it

if you got half a chance.

You sure didn't need a husband
around to complicate things.

Hold me, Luke.

Come over here a minute.

There you go.

You're having problems
with Eddie Lee, ain't you?

You know, it wasn't
always like that.

When I first met
him, he was real nice.

He got me..he got me play dates.

Concerts. He even
got me a record deal.

Well, what happened?

I don't know. Must have been
the crowd he was running with.

They're into all
kinds of things.

Gambling..

You know, I bet that's
when he started to st..

He started stealing from you?

It's not too hard to figure.

Why don't you do
something about it?

I did. I saw a lawyer.

He said if I took
Eddie Lee to court

I could break my
contract with him.

And?

And Eddie Lee found
out I saw the lawyer.

Luke, he said if I
didn't sing for him

I wasn't gonna sing for nobody.

Is that right?

I don't know what to do.

I'm trying to put my kid
brother through college.

I got a family that's
counting on me. I...

Hey, hey, hey, come here.

Did I ever make you a
promise I didn't keep?

Mm-mm, uh-uh.

Well, I promise you that
before you leave Hazzard

you ain't gonna have to
worry about Eddie Lee no more.

Luke, how are you gonna do that?

Just let me worry
about it, alright?

Meantime, Rosco was signing
Candy's name to her picture

for Boss, to raise
a little petty cash.

Only listen, listen, listen.

There's gotta be someway

that a sharp, smart entrepreneur
like me can buy his way in

and get himself a share
of Candy Dix's contract.

- There might be.
- Oh, oh.

Oh, well, well, well and well.

If it ain't the manager

of the best little old
country and western singer

I ever did see.

Let's cut the bull
and get to the point.

'Somebody named Luke
Duke and a blond-haired dude'

'kidnapped Candy.'

The Dukes kidnapped Candy Dix?

- Alright, here's the sheriff.
- Yeah.

Alright, we'll have
him get right out there

and we'll do our
best to find her.

Uh. Ah, for a price.

Well, you're looking
for a bribe, Hogg?

Well, of course he is.

'Tut, tut, tut.'

Let's just call it business.

Only this time, uh, I'll
pay you to get her back.

What my little fat
buddy's trying to say is

that he wants a
piece of her contract.

Uh, you took the words
right out of my mouth.

Say, what would you
say to , for %?

Eddie Lee, you can use
, , if you get my drift.

Indeed I do.

Hogg, you drive a hard bargain..

But you got yourself a deal.

I do? Alright, alright.
It is a deal. Isn't it?

Winners keepers
steepers heapers.

Get right out there
and find them Dukes

and put them under surveillance.

Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Right.

Uh, why can't he pick 'em up?

- Oh, he will.
- Yeah.

- I will.
- He will, he will.

Uh, once the contract
of ours is signed.

Back at the farm, Luke
was finishing outlining a plan

aimed at changing
Candy's life, for the better.

Luke, will you just run
it by me one more time?

You bet. Me and Bo go into town.

We file a complaint
against Eddie Lee

for as*ault with
a deadly w*apon.

The law picks him up,
while he waits for his trial

you can stay here with us.

When he gets out of jail you'll
be such a big country music star

he wouldn't know what to do.

Do you think Boss and
Rosco are gonna help us?

Listen, J.D. is not against
doing the right thing.

As long as it don't
come close to his wallet.

Well, I guess it's settled.

There is one other problem.

By now, Eddie Lee
knows where we live.

Well, that's right. That
means she can't stay here.

Where else would she be safe?

Well, she could stay with
me and Bo wherever we go

until we get him picked up.

What do you say, Candy?

Let's get the show on the road.

'Once Eddie Lee's in jail,
me and Bo'll take the pickup'

and pick up whatever you
need from the motor home.

All I really need is my
music portfolio and my guitar.

You guys got me believin'
everything's gonna be alright.

You got my word on it.

Better than that,
you got ourword on it.

Bo, you best stay
here with Candy

while I explain things to Boss.

Oh, cousin, I'm
flattered you trust me.

Trust you? I trust her.

Heh heh heh.

Oh, this is a
beautiful contract.

A beautiful contract.

Now, I'll just sign it
right here, J.D. Hogg.

And then, you
sign it right there

on the dotted line, partner.

I want you to have Rosco
pick up a man, for as*ault

with a deadly w*apon.

as*ault with a
deadly w*apon, huh?

- Just who might this man be?
- Him.

- Little while back he tried...
- Oh, very interesting.

On account of my
new partner here

'has just swore out a
kidnapping charge against you.'

I'll get Rosco here to
handle the legalities.

Hey, wait, that
won't be necessary.

I don't know what you got
going with them, but listen to me.

- That little country western...
- Listen up, Duke. Listen up.

I'll drop all the
charges against you.

I just want Candy back.

Oh, you hear that? Now,
ain't that reasonable?

It don't sound that
reasonable to me.

Hey, don't..

Get off of me.

After them. After them!

Hit it, Bo. We got trouble.

Doggone them.

Made me scuff my vehicle.
I'd have caught them too.

I love the hot pursuit,
but I took out that fence.

Now, old widow Baxter, she's
gonna make me pay for that.

Where did he go?

Where did he go? Oh, Rosco,
Rosco, did you see them?

- Yeah.
- Did you see them?

I saw 'em. They run me off
and I hit that fence over there.

Oh, you sure did
take it out, didn't you?

Yeah, I got most of it.

Don't just stand there
flappin' your lips. Go after 'em.

- Cuff and stuff 'em.
- You know who's with them?

- 'Who?'
- That lady, uh, Candy Dix.

Who? Oh, Candy Dix, Candy Dix!

Hey, she can ride back with us.

Alright. Yeah,
she will. Listen ..

I'm gonna appoint you
legally sworn-in deputies.

You hear me? You hear me?

- Alright, go on.
- I'm going.

Go on. Get going.

There's nothing to worry about.

We'll head over to Chickasaw
and contact the State Police.

Enos? Enos Strate. Listen,
J.D. Hogg calling Enos Strate.

I'm all ears, Mr. Hogg.

And no brains.

Alright, Enos, believe it or not

the Duke boys just
kidnapped Candy Dix.

'And they're probably
headed for the state line.'

'Uh, thereby violating
their probation.'

I've already
contacted Sheriff Little.

You know him. And he's
road blocking Route .

'And so what I want you
to do is to cover Route .'

Route and block their
escape! Do you read?

Oh, yes, sir, Mr. Hogg. I
read every chance I get.

I like boy-dog stories best.

The one about Patches at play

was my favorite
in grammar school.

I can't believe this.

It's about this dog
named Patches.

He's got one brown
eye, one blue eye

and his master named
Christopher, they was playing

with the squirrels and the
cows on the farm one day..

First, both of y'all were
almost k*lled by Eddie Lee

and now you're both
wanted for kidnapping.

Why don't you let me go back,
try to straighten out this mess?

You just don't worry.

We got a good chance of
making it to the State Police.

All we gotta do is lose
Rosco and his friends

and find some place to
hide you, till it gets dark.

- Hey, Bo.
- What?

Why don't you just let
them fellers pass you?

Well, alright. Hang
on there, Candy.

Oh, Flash, this is embarrassing.

Bo.

Do somethin'.

Pull up next to 'em.
Knock 'em off the road.

- That'll k*ll 'em for sure.
- That's right.

An accident while
fleeing from the law.

Which happens to be us.

Hang on.

Old Luke is still
thinking like a Marine.

Take to the high ground.

Yeah!

- Did you see that?
- Don't try it, man.

What'll we do now?

We better get back
and press the fat man.

I don't believe
what just happened.

Yeah, that Eddie Lee sure
is a hard worker, ain't he?

No, I mean jumping that thing.

Welcome to Hazzard
County, Candy.

Now we gotta find
a place to hide you.

Hey, how about up
above Cooter's garage?

Well, they would never suspect
that. Right under their noses.

'I'll CB Uncle Jesse and Daisy.'

'They'll meet us there.'

'Alright.'

Colonel J.D. Hogg,
proudly presents..

No, no, no, that
speech ain't right.

It's too modest and
it ain't up to date.

I'm gonna try that speech
again. Let me see now.

Oh, I got it.

Colonel Jeff Hogg.

The man who made a superstar

out of the sweet little
girl and her guitar.

Proudly, and with great
pleasure and humility... presents...

Colonel Jeff Hogg ain't
gonna be presenting anybody

because we ain't got
anybody to present.

What? What?

What are you boys talking about?

I got the Dukes surrounded.

You mean, I ain't got
the Dukes surrounded?

What are you gonna
do about it, partner?

They could be hiding
Candy anywhere.

Now, listen. Don't-don't
get so upset about it.

You don't have to scream at me.

Listen, my man Sheriff Coltrane

knows every Duke hideout
in the county. You hear?

Listen, what you could do is

you could go back
to your motor home

and then you could
do something helpful.

Like, start booking our
star on them big TV shows.

Listen, I'll have Candy
back within an hour.

Yeah. You can
bet your life on it.

Uh... what if those Duke
boys call the State Police?

Alright, I'll take
care of that too.

Just a minute.

Oh, Gussie, this is J.D. Hogg.
The source of your sole support.

Yeah, listen here.

If any of them Duke
boys or their friends

try to put any calls through..

You put them on hold
and get back to me.

Will you do that, honey?

Yeah, that's the idea.

We'll be waiting for
your call, Colonel Hogg.

Yeah.

This is J.D. Hogg calling
Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane

And I'm also calling
Deputy Enos Strate.

'Them Duke boys
are still out there.'

'So, don't let your guard
down. You hear me?'

'You guard them roads
I told you to guard.'

'And block their escape,
whatever you do.'

Knowing everybody would
look for Candy at the Duke farm

they decided to hide her
right under old Boss' nose.

At Cooter's garage.

'Now that Candy's safe,
we just gotta wait till night.'

I hope you're right
about Candy being safe.

What do you mean, Luke?

If Eddie Lee wants
her back so bad

why did he try to
run us off the road?

- He coulda k*lled her.
- It don't make sense.

No, what good is she
to him, if she's dead?

I'll be a whole lot
happier about this

whole thing, once
we talk to State Police.

Why don't you call them up?

You gotta figure Boss
has got to Gussie by now.

Bo, why don't we
run to the motor home

and pick up those
arrangements Candy needs.

And go to the Boar's Nest?

A bit too risky,
don't you think?

Not if we hide in the
back of Cooter's truck.

She shouldn't have any excuse
to run back to Boss's new partner.

'Can we hitch a ride, Cooter?

- 'Yeah, just give me a minute.'
- Hey, Candy.

I hope you're not thinking
of doing anything foolish

like calling Eddie Lee.

Daisy, if I don't go back,
Luke could get hurt real bad

Listen, I'll tell you

if you're going
back to Eddie Lee

it's gonna hurt Luke a
lot worse than anything

Eddie Lee could do.

Believe me.

'Hello, mobile operator,
give me - .'

Hello, Mr. Starkey?

- This is...
- I know who it is.

- You got it?
- No, no.

But I will. I swear it.

See, my gal's got a
life insurance policy

naming me the beneficiary.

But making that policy pay
off, may take another day.

I'd like a -hour extension.

First off..

I don't care how you're
gonna get that money.

Second, I got a
partner. I'll talk to him.

Meanwhile, Boss
was waiting anxiously

to hear some good news
from Rosco and Enos.

There weren't none.

'I got 'em! I know
where they are!'

- 'We can't outrun him.'
- 'Maybe, we can outthink him.'

'Hey, Cooter, stop the truck.'

'Cooter, keep him up front.'

- Alright!
- 'What's your problem, Rosco?'

Out of the way, Cooter.

I'm gonna give your
vehicle a twice-over.

Somehow, I have a feeling

there's a couple of
skunks under there.

I don't care, look
anywhere you want to.

Just stay out of
the cab of my truck.

- A man's cab is his castle.
- Oh, your cab, huh?

Oh, see? Dummy, dummy,
dummy. Shame, shame, shame.

That's where they are.

- 'Don't look in that cab.'
- I'm looking.

'Don't look in that cab.'

- Oh, yeah.
- 'Rosco!'

- You can't fool old Rosco.
- No, no, no.

Let me see, now.

- Stay away from that seat.
- 'Let's see.'

'Don't look under
them floorboards.'

'Under them floor mats, either.'

'Don't get under that seat.'

'And you're gonna
need a search warrant'

'to look in that
glove compartment.'

'Ah! The glove compartment!'

'They can't hide in the
glove compartment.'

Well, I know they
have to be around here.

- Well?
- Where have you hid them?

I mean, they have to be
here. Then, that's ridiculous.

- I mean...
- Look anywhere you want.

I just..

You have any other
ideas where I could look?

I just... there's just... it's..

- I have an idea.
- Why don't you look underneath?

'Well, wait a minute.
It's probably... '

'Wait a minute. You're
hung up on my car there.'

Wait a minute! Bring
my vehicle back here!

Listen, you can fool some of
the sheriffs some of the time

and most of the
sheriffs most of the time.

But you can't fool
this sheriff half..

You can't... is that..

That will be Starkey.
Keep your fingers crossed.

Hello?

'Eddie Lee?'

Candy, where the devil are you?

I'll come back to you if
you give me your word

that you won't
hurt Luke or his kin.

Aw, Candy, of course not.

What happened between
your old boyfriend and me

was just a misunderstanding.

- Now, where are you?
- I'm in town.

Let me see.

I'll pick you up in
front of the Emporium

in about minutes.

And I promise

you and me will never have
another cross word between us.

As long as you live.

Let's go, Hoby.

Gotta ease 'er back, Cooter.

- Come back.
- Ease 'er back.

- Alrighty.
- Got it?

Them Hazzard folks
do have fun, don't they?

Alright, Cooter.

I reckon Flash will
be alright for a while.

- Gave her a break from Rosco.
- That's right.

Hey, hey, hey!

Hey, hey!

Just need a little ride here.

Just I'm wore to the nub...

Oh. Oh!

Okay, alright.

I'm serious this time. Alright.

Alright, I'm condemneering..

I'm condemaring..

I'm taking this vehicle.

'I'm serious now.'

- Any luck, Cooter?
- No.

- Luke?
- Not a thing.

Hold it down, boys.

Yeah?

Eddie Lee, my partner says
we can't extend that deadline.

So, if that singer
of yours, is still alive

come sundown, you're dead.

Wait a minute, what
the heck is that all about?

What's he mean, "if she's
still alive by sundown?"

It means that Eddie Lee
was trying to k*ll 'er, alright.

It still don't make any sense.

This might make it make
sense here. Lookie here.

This is a life insurance policy

on the life of one
Candice L. Dix.

That's what it is, alright.

Right there. Eddie Lee
Memphis is the beneficiary.

Candy?

Oh, no. Uncle
Jesse, Candy's gone!

'Where did she go?'

I don't know.
She left this note.

Let's see it.

"Dear Luke, I guess I
still love you too much

"to see you and your
fine family get hurt.

"By the time you get this

"me and Eddie Lee
will be long gone

I'll never forget
you. Love, Candy."

Come on, Daisy.
We gotta find her.

He's gonna cash in on
this life insurance policy

to pay off his
friend on the phone.

You can bet he ain't
through trying yet, neither.

You can bet the farm on that.

Wait a minute, this
is a mobile phone.

We can go right past Gussie.

Operator?

Could you give me
Hazzard , please?

They ain't answering.
Let's hope we ain't too late.

Alright, freeze!

Alright, I got you now.

Now, ain't that the way?

Just about the time
the jam starts to gel

a fly lands in it.

Where is that girl?
Where's that Candy Dix?

She's in serious trouble.

Eddie Lee's trying to k*ll her.

Oh, tiddly-tuddly.

I've heard of the tooth fairy,
but that doesn't mean it's true.

- Now, where is she?
- Rosco, you got it.

- She's right in here.
- I knew it, over there.

'Right in there.'

Cooter, explain it
all to Rosco, okay?

Show him that insurance policy.

Alright, Cooter.

Now, are you gonna
tell me about Candy Dix

and why she's innocent or what?

She's gotta be in
town here somewhere.

I'm just getting so
worried, Uncle Jesse.

Uncle Jesse, there she is.

Candy!

Wait a minute. Wait a minute.

You can't catch 'em.

We gotta get on the CB and
keep that car in our sights.

Get the General Lee.

Maybe, they just all went out
for a walk or something, huh?

I ain't buying that either.

'Shepherd to Lost Sheep.'

The boys and Uncle Jesse
exchanged all the bad news.

It was clear that somehow Bo
and Luke had to stop Eddie Lee

before he stopped
Candy's career permanently.

We can't see 'em now

but they were headed
toward Peach Tree Lane.

Thanks for the
information. We're gone.

Listen, if they
stay on Peach Tree

maybe we can cut them
off before they hit Route .

Where we going
in such a big hurry?

For a ride, sweetheart.

What about her?

Eddie Lee, what's
he talking about?

Oh, a little $ ,
deal I got cooking for us.

Boss, you've got to believe me.
I'm serious. Dead serious now.

Eddie Lee is
trying to k*ll Candy.

He's got an insurance
policy out on her.

Holy Hannah! We gotta
get the poor girl back.

- Oh, yeah.
- Come on.

Listen, you know
something, little fat buddy?

I'm proud of you, not thinking
of money at a time like this.

You mean the $ , I'm gonna
take back from that Eddie Lee?

- Yeah.
- Never gave it a thought.

Rosco.

Keep practicing, Enos.

Dang it, Luke. This
thing ain't gonna make it.

We ain't never gonna cut
him off at Route in this.

Hang on. You think Enos
is still out on Route ?

- Well, sure, you bet he is.
- Let's give it a sh*t.

Enos, you got your ears on?

- Is that you, Luke?
- 'Yeah, it sure is.'

I ain't got time to explain.
It's a matter of life and death.

Get over to Peach
Tree Lane and cut it off.

I'd sure like to oblige, Luke.
But Mr. Hogg, if he found out..

Mr. Hogg hasfound out.

And you just do like
Luke says. You hear?

I'm gone.

Much obliged,
Boss. I'm gone too.

Now, if Eddie gets cut
off there, that means

he'll have to go by
the old junkyard, right?

Which gives us
a fighting chance.

- 'Ha ha. It sure does.'
- 'Come on, let's go.'

Did you hear that, Uncle Jesse?

Yeah, I heard. So you just
head in the same direction.

You got it.

'Come on, come on, Rosco.'

I want to get there in
time to collect the reward.

Right. What reward?

The one I'm offering to
myself for capturing Eddie Lee.

Come on. Come on.

- How could they know?
- They don't.

My partner put that cop
there to stop the Dukes.

I say, we k*ll her now.

k*ll me? Eddie Lee?

Hoby, you got a big mouth.

Now keep driving
till I tell you when.

And you ain't going nowhere.

Yet.

Now force him in there.

- You alright?
- Yeah, yeah. I'm fine.

You stay here.

Bo, look out.

Ugh!

'Go that way!
That way, that way!'

Alright, stop. Stop, stop, stop!

Come on! After them. Come on.

Come on, come on.

You got 'em! You got 'em!

They got you. Alright.

- Are you alright?
- Yeah.

'That'll teach you
a lesson, won't it?'

'Alright, good work there.
Alright, the Duke boys did it.'

Alright, now listen here.
See this thing here?

That's a contract.
You recognize that?

Now, give me back
my , simoleons.

Tear it up but give
me back the money.

- Sure, fat man.
- Give it here. No!

My money! My money! No! No!

Candy was grateful
for Boss pitchin' in

and helpin' when
he learned the truth.

And she was really sorry about

all the money that
went up in smoke.

She offered to sing at the
Boar's Nest free of charge.

Boss didn't even have
to put up a roadblock.

At personal expense to the
management, which is yours truly

I am going to give
you the great star

the one, the only, Candy Dix!

Since I wouldn't be singing
at all, if not for Luke Duke.

I think it's only fittin' that
he come up and join me.

- Yeah.
- Come on, man.

Alright.

'One, two, three, four.'

Now, friends, there
ain't many places

where when things
end on a happy note

the folks actually sing.
But that's Hazzard County.
