11x20 - Never, Ever Make a Mistake

Post by bunniefuu »

Girls on Fire makes girls like me

feel like becoming a
firefighter could really happen.

Go! Yeah, Kylie!

You are more than ready
for that entrance exam.

Lacey's not accepting
anything stronger than ibuprofen.

Sobriety concerns?

She's gonna need help.

You're gonna stay with me.

I can't be a burden to you.

You're not a burden to me.

You're family.

This is the place for people
to safely and anonymously

drop their newborns.

They're not easy to get.

I rankled a few of the higher-ups.

We could use more
Sylvie Bretts in Chicago.

How do you not see a dumpster?

Huh? They're huge!

- The dent isn't that big.
- Yeah?

Tell that to the body shop.

You wanna see the estimate?

- Christopher.
- Wha...

he is not taking
the family car to school.

- That's that.
- Fine.

I guess I'm a criminal for life.

[APPREHENSIVE MUSIC]

He's gotta take some more
driving lessons or something!

You need to get
your temper under control.

Now, maybe we should use what we just

- went through to do better.
- Mm-hmm.

Going forward,
maybe be a little more kind?

I guess I could take it down a notch.

Yeah.

You know, at the chemo center,

- there was this nurse, Nina.
- Yeah?

She showed me some breathing exercises

to help control anxiety and stress.

That's good.

I gotta go to work.

You find a comfortable place to sit.

[SIGHS] Close your eyes.

[INHALES DEEPLY]

Take a breath in.

[EXHALES] And then you breathe out.

And you do that until you feel calm.

Who's got time for that?

No, just try it.

[INHALES SHARPLY]
[EXHALES EXAGGERATEDLY] Done.

I feel better already.

Don't you sass me.

You could try it at work.

There are apps you can download
that guide you through.

Meditation apps too.

All right. That's good to know.

I love you.

Gotta run.

Maybe apologize to Luke on your way out?

Not gonna happen!

What are you doing here?

Aren't you taking
firefighter exams today?

Physical's at noon, written's at :.

- She needs a pep talk.
- No, I don't.

I don't. Really, I...

She came in early to refile things.

I'm a little nervous, yes.

But I've studied,
and you've prepared me...

You are going to ace these tests, Kylie.

You are, girl.

You are going to mop the floor

with all of the other applicants.

And leave them in your dust.

No one is more prepared than you are.

Nobody.

Well, I don't know about that.

But... [CLEARS THROAT]

Thank you.

- I'll give it my all.
- Know you will.

Thanks, guys. [CHUCKLES]

I'm going to, uh, finish refiling.

- Uh-huh.
- Mm-hmm.

That was a great pep talk.

Just what she needed.

So how'd it go the other day?

Dylan claims the kids

were very impressed with my magic show.

I don't believe him,
but he's sweet to say so.

So things are going good with him?

You said things were a little
distant after Casey's visit.

Yeah, things are good.

Ugh, worst shift in years.

Don't think we slept
more than, what, minutes?

Ah, you guys look like

you've been through the wringer.

We can't all be as perky

as our resident blonde over here.

I am not perky.

You never look tired.

You guys, Javi just got MVP
on his school basketball team.

You gotta see the pictures.

Uh, I'm gonna pass
because your energy level

is scaring me, as usual.

[ALARM BLARES]

Ambulance . Woman down, emergency.

Emergency? You don't hear that often.

Yeah. Let's go.

[TENSE MUSIC]

No time for a full inventory...
just a quick check.

Okay.

Narcotics are here.

[ENGINE TURNS OVER]

Great. Let's move.

[SIREN WAILING]

You have to hurry.

There's something wrong with this baby.

Baby?

[PANTING]

What's happening?

All right, your baby was born en caul,

which means it's still fully
intact in the amniotic sac.

to main, we need a second
ambulance to Haverford.

We have to break the sac right
away to get your baby breathing.

[TENSE MUSIC]

I need the scalpel.

[PANTING]

[GASPS] Oh, my God, what the hell?

- What the hell?
- That's all right, honey.

That's your waters.

Hey, come on. Come on, little girl.

I need the bulb syringe now.

Brett, there's no OB kit
in the jump bag.

There's no bulb syringe and no clamps.

Well, we gotta clamp the cord
and... and suction her somehow.

I know. Okay, um...

Try to suction with this.

I'm gonna clamp with these.

Tie it off with this.

- Is it working?
- I don't know.

Cutting.

Okay.

[BABY GURGLES]

All right. You're doing great.

We're gonna get this little
girl to Med as fast as we can.

The next ambulance is gonna
take you there, too, okay?

All right.

- [SIREN WAILING]
- [HORN BLARES]

Shallow breathing... Apgar's .

Let's go, let's go, let's go, let's go.

- [ALARMS BEEPING]
- You can do it, little one.

Come on, breathe for me.

Breathe for me, please.

What have we got?

Born with amniotic sac intact.

First Apgar , five minute Apgar .

Heart rate's .
Sats are in the high s.

Okay, get me a warmer
and cr*ck the neonatal

resuscitation cart in Trauma .

- Let's go.
- Copy.

You wanna wait,
see how the little girl does?

No.

No, let's do the paperwork and go.

That OB kit should have been there.

It would have made the difference.

You will have minutes and seconds

to complete all eight events

in the Candidate Physical Ability Test.

You must wear your hard hat,
work gloves,

and -pound weighted vest
the entire time.

This thing doesn't
exactly breathe, does it?

- Shh.
- This is a pass/fail test.

If you are disqualified in any event,

your test will be concluded,
and you will fail.

- Lawson.
- Watch this.

You're up first.
Step up to the hose line.

Everybody ready?

Go!

[APPREHENSIVE MUSIC]

[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]

That's a DQ.

You stepped out of the marked path.

Seriously?

Estevez, you're up.

Go!

[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]

Come on.

Some of these firefighter shows
are a total crock.

That guy had a beard.

How you supposed to get a seal
on a mask with a beard?

Do they not care about the truth?

Tell them to call us.
We'll straighten them out.

Ehh.

Gallo, how's your aunt doing?

You know, so far,
things are pretty smooth.

She's healing really well
with no major medication.

You know I hate to boost your ego,

but that wouldn't be the case
if it wasn't for you.

This idiot from maintenance
still hasn't shown up!

I... I don't know what it is
that these maintenance guys

do all day, but it is not repair rigs.

Ah!

[SIGHS]

Do you guys think that
I got a temper problem?

- No. You?
- No, no. Not at all.

Cindy, she dressed me down
real good this morning

and said that I should have
come through this whole

- cancer journey a better man.
- Huh?

- Oh, yeah.
- Yeah, probably so.

And she even suggested that
I do some breathing exercises

and all that, you know,
meditation-cult kinda stuff.

Hey, don't knock it till you try it.

That stuff can do some serious good.

Yeah, there's a group I know,
Holistic Life Foundation.

They're proof it can work.

They do a lot of amazing work
in the public schools.

One school in Baltimore
had suspensions per year.

Then, after running their
Mindful Moment program

for two years,
there were zero suspensions

eight years in a row.

Mindful Moment?

No. Not in my firehouse.

You're ridiculous.

Hey, don't go all
woo-woo on us, Herrmann.

Keep it together, man.

And first shift screwed up.
They didn't replace the OB kit,

so it wasn't there when we needed it.

Probably cost a newborn girl her life.

Why didn't you two do morning inventory?

The bells went off
right at shift change.

- It said emergency.
- There was no time.

We did a quick check out and raced off.

Okay, I will talk to Adler.
She is the PIC.

I will find out
what the hell is going on.

[ALARM BLARES]

- Truck , Ambulance ...
- Okay.

Motor vehicle accident, Van Buren.

[SIREN WAILING]

[DRAMATIC MUSIC]

This guy came out of nowhere.
There was nothing I could do.

- What guy?
- Over here.

I swerved to avoid him, but...

You gotta help him.
Get him out of there!

Let's see if we can
slide him out of there.

- Yeah.
- Real careful. Okay?

- One, two, three.
- Whoa, whoa, Lieutenant.

His leg is trapped.

[TENSE MUSIC]

Okay, let's get airbags and cribbing.

- Go!
- Yep.

[SIREN WAILING]

Okay. Sir?

Can you hear me? Okay.

We're gonna get you out of here, okay?

Now, what's your name?

Shep. I'm Shep.

Shep, I'm Stella.

All right?

Tell me, how'd this happen?

These teenagers, they...

they were chasing me
and trying to rob me,

to take my cigarettes.

They never leave me alone.

Lieutenant.

Hey.

He's conscious and alert.

I'll grab the stretcher and the
backboard, and have the O ready.

Now, Shep, tell me where it hurts.

- My head.
- Your head?

- Yeah.
- Okay. What about your legs?

No, no. They don't hurt.

No pain in your legs?

Nuh-uh.

All right, Mouch, where's that cribbing?

- Right here.
- All right.

We'll have you out of there
in no time, Shep.

What's it matter?

No one cares about me.

Not a soul left on Earth.

Whoa, hey... that is not true.

Look at me. I care about you.

You are the most important
person in Chicago

to Truck today.

- You hear me?
- Going up on blue.

[AIR HISSING]

Going up on red.

[AIR HISSING]

Okay. We're good.

Let's get him out of here.

- Backboard!
- Coming in.

Got your head.

One, two, three.

[GROANS]

One, two, three.

Can you feel that?

Yeah. Sure, yeah.

Can you wiggle your toes?

I think.

No way.

No way.

There's a grab bar in there.

It must have pinned his pant leg,
and kept the weight off him.

Unbelievable.

All right, that cut
doesn't look too bad.

We're gonna take you to Chicago Med,
and get it looked at.

[PANTING]

Well, it looks like
you're gonna be okay, Shep.

Yeah?

Yeah. You caught a real break there.

Thanks, Stella.

Glad we could help, Shep.

Poor guy, getting robbed
for all he's got

by a bunch of teenagers.

Life can be incredibly unfair.

I'm gonna check on something.

- I'll be right back.
- Sure.

Patient was homeless.

He didn't have an ID,
so I'm just gonna write down

the age he told us, et cetera.

Hey, Brett, the baby girl's alive.

She rebounded and is doing really well.

- What?
- Yeah.

She's in the maternity ward
with her mom right now.

Oh, my God, that's such a huge relief.

- Let's go see them.
- Yeah.

Hey, um, Amber, do you remember us?

I'm Sylvie. This is Violet.

Yeah, I remember.

What are you doing here?

Well, we were just so happy to hear

that your little girl was doing well,

and we wanted to pay a visit.
Is that okay?

Sure.

- How are you doing?
- Fine.

Aww, she looks great.

[SENTIMENTAL MUSIC]

- Aw, she's so beautiful.
- [BABY FUSSES]

What's her name?

I haven't given her one yet.

The doctor said she's doing good, so.

- [BABY COOS]
- Hi.

What's going on?

[BABY GURGLING]

She's so small.

pounds, ounces, inches...

it's a perfect size.

- Really?
- Really.

Has your mom been here?

For a little while,
but she had to go to work.

Well, thanks for what you did.

Cool of you to check in on her.

Um...

okay, well, good luck with everything.

And... um, and congratulations.

[BABY CRIES]

Thanks.

Amber seems pretty checked out.

She's so young.

Everything must be so confusing
and scary for her right now.

I hope her mom is helping out.

[SIGHS] Me too.

- What are we doing?
- Shh!

Breathe it all in.

Hey!

It's not what it looks like, all right?

- I'm just...
- And let it go.

I was just, um... I'm not, all right?

I was just... I'm not.

You drink tea! Who are you to judge?

This wasn't my idea.

I support you seeking enlightenment.

But that's not what I...

I think you're supposed
to wear a leotard

for that kind of stuff.

We got the Dalai Herrmann in the house.

Real mature, guys.

[LAUGHTER]

It's like these kids
can't even touch him.

And then, after he, like,
gets to the other side,

he comes up, and look at
the form on that layup.

- Sweet.
- He's gonna be dunking soon.

Look at that kid.

- Oh... guys, check it out.
- [GASPS]

Cruz, you gotta invite us to a game.

Are you kidding me?

Javi would go nuts for that.

The whole family
in the house for their boy?

We would love that.

Hey... you got a lot of nerve
going after me and Bessel

for the missing OB kit.

You should have checked
inventory before you left.

Didn't you hear the alarm?
It said "emergency."

I told you what a rough shift we had.

Oh, but, of course, Chief Boden
will give his favorite shift

their special treatment.

And we'll get in real trouble for this.

You were the PIC.

A baby girl could have d*ed
because of you.

It doesn't matter that you were tired.

It's your job to make sure we
can take care of our patients.

That OB kit is the only thing we've got

to help the most vulnerable
and innocent victims,

and it wasn't there.

If you don't get charged
for this, I will quit.

[SCOFFS]

Are you serious right now?

You have no idea how serious I am.

- Okay, let's take a step...
- Get out of this firehouse.

Now.

This isn't your shift.

This is my damn house too.

[TENSE MUSIC]

Your partner, she's lost it.

[SOMBER MUSIC]

Well, that looks comfy.

Fits my mood.

Well, now that
I've seen you take down Adler,

I'm thinking you, me, MMA.

Oof, we would make a hell of a team.

She acted like it was no big deal.

I hope you didn't mean that
about quitting

if charges aren't filed.

I know what she did was horrible,

but long, sleepless nights
can make any of us loopy.

Adler is the PIC.

She has a partner, Bessel.

She should have handled it
if Adler was so incapable.

If one of us wasn't on it,
the other would cover, right?

Yeah, I'd like to think so.

We would.

There's no excuse for what they did.

I meant what I said.

Hey, look.

- Guy's name is Shep, right?
- Yeah.

Hey, Shep!

Hi.

Hi. Hi, Stella.

How you doing?

I'm... I'm good, yeah.

Um, I just came by because
I wanted to say thank you.

[CLEARS THROAT]

Not just for what you did.

Um, what... what you said
kinda stuck with me, you know?

I meant it.

We got you out of there, right?

And you look great.

Um, I don't have much right now.

But I did wanna...

I wanted to bring you this.

I... I made it over at Crossroads.

It's the shelter where I'm staying at.

You did not have to do this,

but I love it.

Thank you, Shep.

You wanna come in, have some food?

Um... no, no.

I, uh, I gotta... I gotta get going.

Well, at least let me
round up a bag of stuff for you

for the road.

We filed a report about those
teenagers, just so you know.

Cops took a statement
from the truck driver too.

- So you never know, but maybe...
- She doesn't love you.

[TENSE MUSIC]

You know that, right?

What?

What did you just say?

Oh, that's so...

so generous.

Thank you so much, Stella,
for... for everything.

You're welcome.

Take care of yourself, Shep.

Good guy.

I hope that Crossroads place
he stays at is all right.

[LIVELY SITAR MUSIC PLAYING]

Capp!

Ugh.

Damn it, Capp!

You... [GROANS]

[BREATHING DEEPLY]

Capp!

Heard you wanted to see us?

Yeah, come on in. Close the door.

Take a seat.

So I have talked to Adler and Bessel,

and they have admitted that,
after a long shift,

they made a mistake...

forgot to restock the OB kit.

So charges are being filed?

No.

Instead of starting
an investigative review,

I have decided to give
them both written warnings.

If it happens again,
it will be a different story.

What? That's...

that's really unfortunate, Chief.

[SOMBER MUSIC]

It means I'm gonna have to decide

if I can continue to work here.

Is she really considering this?

I think she is.

Found these in the tower.

Shep must have left them behind.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah, he put them down
when he gave you the bracelet.

For a guy who's got nothing,

these are crucial in Chicago weather.

I was thinking
I'd bring them by the shelter

- where he said that...
- I'll do it.

Really?

I'm doing a job not too far from there.

It'll be easy.

Okay.

Be my guest.

Thanks.

No problem.

- There you are.
- Hey!

How'd it go?

- Well, I aced the physical.
- Of course you did.

But then when I got to the written test,

I kind of panicked.

Oh, I know the feeling.

Those tests can be so stressful.

No, I really panicked.

Froze up in the middle
and barely finished on time.

Oh? Okay.

But you finished, right?

Barely.

Okay.

If I failed, please,

just don't give up on me, okay?

What?

I don't want you
to think I'm a lost cause.

I mean, you put so much time
and effort into helping me,

and I just wanted to do you proud.

Oh, Kylie.

You do me proud every day.

Yeah?

Of course.

Sometimes things just take time.

Doesn't mean they're not gonna happen.

I will never give up on you.

Even if I, like, broke the
record for worst score ever?

Even then.

In fact, that would
actually be kind of cool.

[CHUCKLES]

[SENTIMENTAL MUSIC]

Hi.

I'm just dropping these off
for a resident named Shep...

don't know his last name.

I know who you're talking about.

Great.

So can I just leave them with you?

Shep hasn't stayed here in months.

Oh.

When he was on his meds, he was fine.

Whenever he got off them, he got scary,

especially with female residents.

He sent one of them to the hospital,

and that's when we kicked him out.

We should have done it sooner.

[APPREHENSIVE MUSIC]

Well, that's not good.

I know.

I mean, hopefully we
never see the guy again.

But God, I still can't help
but feel for the guy.

If Kelly were here, he would tell me

that I might have gone too far
in bonding with my victim...

you know, that there are serious risks

in making real connections.

And he might be right.

But I don't know how
to do this job any other way.

Yeah, I mean, I get where
Severide's coming from.

He's just trying to protect you.

Mm.

But the way you connect with people,

victims and coworkers...

It... it makes an impact

that can change lives for the better.

And I'm speaking from experience.

Hmm.

After what you did, my whole
office smelled like the time

that I went to San Francisco.

I can't go back in there!

Pfft.

Uh-oh.

Maybe I shouldn't have
told her what you guys did.

I am offended.

Truly.

It was just a...

After all I went through,

all Christopher and I went through,

for you to mock my efforts

to come out of it better people,

it really hurts.

We are so, so sorry.

I mean, I'm really just
apologizing on behalf

of the two people responsible, but...

It was wrong. I'm truly sorry.

I took it too far.

It was dumb. Just plain dumb.

I... I'm sorry, Cindy.

Truth is, I've always had
an interest in meditation.

Yeah, me too.

Uh, yoga, even.

I mean, maybe the three of us
could sign up for a class,

learn something about it.

There you go.

I'll bet you'll be glad you did it too.

There's a lot to learn.

You've told Boden how strongly you feel.

You don't have to leave
to prove your point.

I just feel like actions are gonna

have more power than just words.

That call, that missing OB kit,
it's haunting me.

I keep seeing that little baby's face.

But she survived, Brett.

We handled it without the OB kit,

and you rock-starred it
like you always do.

Look, you know I'll stand
behind you no matter what.

But I can't imagine
without my best friend.

Yvette, move the ladder
to the last station.

And let's get these cones in place.

You got these guys out here early.

Part of training.
cr*ck of dawn, you're working.

Yeah, but it's a pretty
basic obstacle course.

- Why would you ever say that?
- [CHUCKLES]

Well, obviously, it's because
he wants to jump in

and show these girls how easy it is.

- Okay.
- Fall in line, Gallo.

May I have everyone's attention, please?

I'd like to announce some news
I have just received.

Kylie Estevez

has officially passed
her firefighter's test.

[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE]

Yes!

- No way.
- Way.

All you gotta do, wait,
hope your number comes up.

It's not a final step,
but it's a big one.

Hell yeah, it is.

Tomorrow, we are celebrating at Molly's!

And we're gonna make it
an -and-over event

so you all can come.

[CHEERING]

[SENTIMENTAL MUSIC]

You got what you wanted.

I'm done.

Career probably over.

Hope you can live with yourself.

And that you never, ever make a mistake.

[KNOCKS]

Do you have a minute, Chief?

Yeah, come on in.

[SIGHS]

What happened with Adler?

I thought you were
just issuing a warning,

but I saw her cleaning out her locker.

That's exactly what I did.

Turns out she's got
two previous warnings

from similar situations,

so this was the last straw for her.

I felt bad seeing her like that.

But, uh, I still
think forgetting the OB kit

is an unforgivable thing
for the PIC to do,

and if she has previous warnings

for the same kind of thing,
then she's a risk

to her victims' safety, so.

So... the system worked.

The Brett that I saw
in this office the other day,

that's not the Brett that I know.

You wanna tell me what's going on?

I know...

I know I probably overreacted.

Mm.

I get too emotional
with our littlest victims...

I always have.

We all feel that way.

And I've noticed,
you more than most, but...

this was different.

[APPREHENSIVE MUSIC]

That young girl,

the mother of that baby, she's .

The same age my mother
was when she had me...

and then gave me up for... for adoption.

Hey. Here you go.

The schedule for Zyndoga Yoga.

Zyndoga?

Yeah. I think that's how you say it.

So anyway,
Cindy says that you should join

the Monday morning beginners
class that she goes to,

and we're not on shift
next Monday, so, uh...

- Sounds great.
- Yeah.

Tell her we'll be there.

Anybody else want one?

Well, I've got my studio, but thanks.

Yeah, same.

I don't think the name
can be Zyndoga Yoga.

- Hey, Cruz?
- Mm?

How about you?

Uh, I'm more of a Zumba guy.

- You know.
- Still?

Hey, do you wanna see pictures

of Javi playing basketball?

He's gotten so big. It's really great.

[ALARM WAILING]

It's the baby safe box.

[APPREHENSIVE MUSIC]

- [ALARM STOPS]
- [GASPS]

[BABY CRYING]

Aww, hey.

Come here, baby.

He looks healthy too.

Violet, this is the baby that we rescued

at the en caul birth.

This is Amber's little girl.

[PENSIVE MUSIC]

I know you.

She seems completely healthy,
but I know the protocol

is to take them to the hospital.

Yeah.

Amber checked out with this little girl

just a few hours ago.

- Was Amber's mother with her?
- No.

No, the baby was doing well,
so we had to let them both go.

It was Amber's decision.

Now that she has technically
been abandoned,

we'll give her another once-over

and then wait and see if it's Amber

or DCFS that comes to get her.

Did you know she took
the baby to a firehouse?

No, but if it was your firehouse,

that's the smartest thing
that girl could have done.

Amber told me how you two
came back to check on them.

Said the blonde one tucked
the covers around the baby

like it was her own.

Guess she asked someone at the hospital

which firehouse you were from.

Knew you would do the right thing.

By law, we had to bring
her back to the hospital.

And if Amber doesn't go back to
get her in the next hours,

the Department of Child
and Family Services

will take her into foster care.

Then that's the way it's gotta be.

[SNIFFLES]

Amber has no interest in being a mother.

She was here about an hour ago.

Took off to be with her dad
in Indiana for a while,

get away from that idiot
ex-boyfriend she has here.

Why didn't she leave the baby with you?

Honey, I already had one baby girl,

and she was more than
enough trouble for me.

I want nothing to do with that one.

[INTERCOM BUZZES]

Yeah?

Stella, it's Shep.

I have something for you.

[CELL PHONE RINGING]

I'm coming, I swear.
Just running a little late.

Shep is at my building.

- What?
- Yeah.

He asked me to buzz him up.

Told him I wasn't gonna do that
and that he needed to leave.

- Did you call the cops?
- No.

That seems like it could end badly.

Plus, he didn't actually do anything

except ask to come up.
He might even be gone.

I... I didn't see him
when I looked out there.

Screw that, call the police.

He's known to be dangerous.

And I'm coming over right now.

This is so awesome.

I'm so happy for Kylie.

Oh, I know.

She's a great kid.

So I gave the guys the class
that you suggested,

and they feel so guilty.

You've gotta take pictures.

- Me?
- Yeah.

Why would I be there?

You said that was the class
that you went to.

Went. Past tense.

I tried the class once
and knew it wasn't for me.

I don't have the kind of patience

for that kind of thing.

You don't have the patience?
You... that...

then why am I sitting on the
filthy floor of my office,

breathing like I'm in some scuba lesson?

I just thought
if it works for you, great.

Sure doesn't work for me.

But you said that...

- you know what this is?
- Hmm. What?

More proof that we were
meant to be, that's what.

And I'll tell you who doesn't need to be

any better in any single way...

you.

Aw.

This is where you say, right back at ya.

I will take a margarita on the rocks.

I wonder what's gonna happen
to that little girl.

Well, you got adopted
by a wonderful family.

Maybe the same thing will happen to her.

I really, really hope so.

Have you seen Kidd?
I thought she'd be here by now.

[OMINOUS MUSIC]

I told you. I told you!

- She doesn't love you!
- Shep, calm down.

She doesn't love you.

- You shouldn't be here!
- Calm down.

I warned you!

Stop!

Settle down! Stop.

- You gotta stop! You gotta stop!
- [SIREN WAILING]

Hey! Carver!

Carver! Stop! Hey!

- Stop!
- Hey! Break it up!

Hey! Break it up!

[SOBS] Help me!

He's attacking me!

Help! Help!

Help me! He's trying to k*ll me.

Get your hands up and turn around.

He's trying to k*ll me!

Get your hands up and turn around!

He... he came at me first.

Wait, no... no, no, no! No, no, no, no.

Hey, don't arrest him.
I called you. All right?

He was just trying to stop this man

- from getting into my building.
- I didn't do anything!

He's mentally ill.
He was threatening me.

No, no, I never threatened anybody!

All we saw was a guy
laying on the ground

and you pummeling him.

I need an ambulance at West Road.

He... he's got a w*apon, watch out.

I don't have anything!
I don't have anything.

Go ahead, look.

Listen... hey, we're firefighters.
You can't just take him away.

He was defending himself.

Back away from the car
unless you wanna join him.
