All of the other trees were taken home


By happy families, but not douglas.


He was sadder than ever.


Douglas said, "why don't I ever get picked


By a happy family?"


Big mike said,


"Because I've been saving you for something very special."


Big mike put douglas on a truck


And took him to the big city.


He was put up in the middle of the town


And decorated.


This was very special,


But it wasn't the same


As going home with a happy family.


Then suddenly, douglas lit up.


He saw happy families everywhere.


People came from all around to see douglas,


And he made lots of families very happy,


And that made douglas very happy.


He was the best christmas tree ever.
