PINKALICIOUS: "Invisible Band."

PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): I'm so excited!

The Pinkville marching band

is playing their first march of the year today!

(instruments play in distance)

(gasps) It's starting!

Hurry up, everybody!

♪ So here we go ♪

♪ Strike up the band ♪

♪ Let's see you tap your feet and wave your hands! ♪

♪ Shake off your cares ♪

♪ And hit the street ♪

♪ You're marching to the Pinkstep b*at! ♪

Hey, that's not the marching band...

(playing recorder)

Hi, Jasmine!

I'm a one-girl marching band!

I love the Pinkville Pinkstep.

Especially the part that goes...

(mimicking song)

(laughing)

Hey, I didn't know

you could play the recorder!

Well, the invisible recorder at least!

(laughing)

(Jasmine playing recorder, Pinkalicious mimicking song)

Quick, or we'll be late!

Everybody...

quick march!

(laughing)

♪ ♪

(band instruments tuning up)

(gasps) It's starting!

I can hear the band tuning up!

And I can see them!

Over there, look!

(tuning up)

I like the one that goes "ting ting ting"!

Ooh, that's

the glockenspiel.

I like that one too.

(playing notes)

(sneezes)

I like the tuba--

but you need to blow really hard to play it.

Like this...

(blowing raspberry)

(giggling)

(playing tuba)

(sneezes)

The trombone!

That's my favorite!

(playing trombone)

(imitating trombone)

(laughing)

(sneezes)

(sneezes)

Good morning, Pinkville!

As mayor, I'm delighted to welcome you

to the Pinkville marching band's first performance of the year!

(cheering)

So please enjoy--

the Pinkville Pinkstep!

(sneezes)

(song begins)

(sneezes)

(sneezes)

Oh no!

Something's wrong with the Pinkville marching band!

Sounds more like

the Pinkville sneezing band to me.

(band members sneezing, playing intermittently)

(whispering)

Oh, okay. (sneezes)

Ladies and gentlemen, girls and boys,

I'm afraid I've got some bad news.

The marching band have come down

with a sudden case of the whiffling sneezes.

(sneezing)

(gasping)

It's not serious, but as you can clearly see--

(sneezes) and hear--

they're in no condition to march today.

(sneezes)

Awww.

I feel bad they're sick.

But I really wanted to march to the Pinkstep.

I can always play it for you again!

I guess so...

(gasps)

Hey, maybe you could play it for all of us!

Well, I don't think I'll be loud enough on my own.

You don't have to play on your own--

I could join in!

(imitates recorder)

On your invisible recorder!

Actually, I have something even better in mind...

Mayor Martinez, I have a pinkatastic idea!

What is it, Pinkalicious?

Everyone wants to hear

the Pinkville Pinkstep, right?

Oh, yeah! (all expressing agreement)

Well, I know another band that can play it!

You do?

Yes!

If you can give us ten minutes to practice!

Ah!

Of course we can! Great!

Peter, Raphael, follow us!

♪ ♪

We are going to be the best marching band ever!

But I don't play any instruments!

Me neither!

It doesn't matter--

because we're going to play

imaginary instruments!

Like your invisible recorder!

You've got an invisible recorder?!

Well, not really--

I just use my imagination... and my voice.

Like this!

(mimicking recorder)

Oh! Oh!

You're using your voice

to make the sound of a recorder!

That's right!

And that means anyone can play

an invisible instrument.

Cool!

I always wanted to play rock guitar!

(imitates rock guitar)

Whoo!

ALL: Whoo!

Yeah!

Pinkcredible!

But we're supposed to be a marching band,

not a rock band.

Yeah, I've never seen an electric guitar

in a marching band.

That's okay,

I can play any invisible instrument you want.

Well, in the Pinkville marching band

there's a tuba, and a trombone...

and that tinkly one...

The glockenspiel.

That's it, I like the glockenspiel.

It goes...

(mimics glockenspiel)

♪ Ting-ting-ting-ting ♪

♪ Ting-ting-ting-ting ♪

♪ Ting, ting, ting, ting ♪

Well, I think

we've found your instrument, Pinkalicious.

Yeah, we don't need two recorders in the band.

I guess not.

Glockenspiel it is.

Ooh, ooh, can I be the trombone player?

Please?

(mimicking sad trombone)

(laughing)

♪ Bwap, bwap, bwap, bwap, bwap... ♪

You were born to play

invisible trombone, Peter!

Which makes me--

the tuba player!

(laughing)

Is it too heavy for you?

Nah, that's the other great thing

about invisible instruments!

They're really light!

(mimicking tuba): ♪ Oompah, oompah ♪

(laughing)

Now everyone's got an instrument!

Oh!

Did I miss the marching band already?

No, we're right here!

Huh?

What do you mean?

We are the marching band!

Oh yes, very funny.

No, really, we are.

The real band got sick,

so we're taking their place.

We're the invisible band!

But-- I can see you.

It's only our instruments that are invisible.

Like my glockenspiel.

♪ Ting, ting, ting ♪

Oh, I see.

You're pretending to play the glockenspiel.

We're using our imagination!

Do you want to play in our band, too?

I don't know...

Well, we could use a drummer.

That's right-- there's a drummer

in the real marching band!

I always wanted to be a drummer!

(mimicking drums): ♪ Boom-boom, boom-boom! ♪

♪ Boom-boom! ♪

Then the band's all here!

We should hurry,

everyone will be wondering where we are.

Um, isn't there one tiny thing

we should do first?

You know, practice?

We can practice as we go--

we are a marching band, after all!

(all mimicking their instruments)

(grunting)

Ow! Ow!

Well, that went well...

You were going way too fast!

Me?

You were going too slow!

You were too fast! You were too slow!

No, you were too fast! No, you were too slow!

We'll never be able to do this.

Yes we can!

We just need to listen.

Hey!

Hey! Hello?!

Oh!

I know how we can all play at the same speed!

How? Yes, how?

Tell us!

There's one person in the marching band

we don't have yet.

The band leader!

Exactly!

The band leader stands

at the front of the band

and waves a baton,

so everyone knows how fast to go.

Like this!

One, two, one, two.

Your wand!

You should be the band leader, Pinkalicious!

Yes!

You can use your wand

to show us how fast to play.

And to march!

One-two, one-two,

strike up the band!

Okay, that'll work.

But if I'm band leader,

I can't play the glockenspiel.

Well, how about I play

the glockenspiel instead?

Huh?

But what about your recorder?

Well, this is the invisible band!

I should be playing an invisible instrument!

Right!

So why don't we give it a try?

ALL: Yeah!

Let's start with the marching.

One-two, one-two!

One-two, one-two!

One-two, one-two!

Pin-ka-per-fect! Off we-go!

One-two, one-two! One-two, one-two!

The band is here!

Huh, I don't see a band?

Uh... where are your instruments?

They're invisible!

(crowd murmurs)

Ladies and gentlemen, presenting--

the Pinkville invisible marching band!

One-two, one-two...

(mimicking instruments in time)

(invisible band continues)

♪ So here we go ♪

♪ Strike up the band ♪

♪ Let's see you tap your feet and wave your hands! ♪

♪ Shake off your cares ♪

♪ And hit the street ♪

♪ You're marching to the Pinkstep b*at! ♪

♪ Take a big breath ♪

♪ What do you know? ♪

♪ Your feet are telling you it's time to go! ♪

♪ Feel the rhythm ♪

♪ Sing the song ♪

♪ Let the Pinkstep carry you along! ♪

PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): It's amazing how many different sounds

you can make with your voice!

Which is how we ended up

with the biggest marching band ever!

♪ ♪

KIDS: That's Pinkatastic!

(band playing)

PHIL: Hi, I'm Phil.

I built this machine called the Zeusmobile.

This is a bicycle of beyond proportions.

I built it first to support bicycling, to support recycling.

And then when I saw kids start to play on it,

I built it to help them enjoy each other

and learn to play together.

(drumming, clanging)

The Zeusmobile is made of recycled materials.

I went to all the scrapyards, I went to the junk places.

I found stuff everywhere, and I just put it all together.

There's sewer pipes,

there's Chinese woks,

there's pots and pans,

there's industrial barrels.

(drumming and clanging continue)

When people are playing together,

they're communicating, they're enjoying each other,

and they're experiencing a connection

that they've never had before any other way.

As you can see here,

you can make music on pots and pans,

you can music on anything you want.

And be creative, and enjoy each other,

and learn to follow the rhythms of other people.

And you'll have great music.

PINKALICIOUS: "Best Pink Present"

♪ ♪

PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): Today is Daddy's birthday

and I'm going to make him the most pinkerrific present ever.

Hmmm... what should I make for Daddy?

You'll think of something, Pinkalicious.

You always do.

I want it to be something really special.

Done!

Oh, Mommy, that's beautiful!

(gasps)

Maybe I should make the wrapping paper first!

But you haven't made the present yet.

And Daddy's going to be home soon.

Well, whatever present I make

is going to need wrapping paper, right?

Right.

I'll get the Make Things box.

♪ ♪

It's going to be pinkatastic!

I just need paint, paintbrushes...

and paper!

I think that's enough paper, don't you?

Oh no!

I'm going to make Daddy a big present!

So I need lots of wrapping paper.

(giggling)

Oh, Pinkalicious.

That should do it.

Now what should I paint?

Ah!

Oh!

(giggling)

(squeals in delight)

Yay!

Whoa!

(gasps) Stars!

See, Mommy?

I'm painting stars,

because Daddy and I love to wish on stars.

And polka dots?

You can never have enough polka dots.

(giggles)

(chuckles) True.

(door opens)

(horn honks)

Peter!

No scootering in the house, remember?

But I made up a scooter trick for Daddy's birthday.

It goes...

♪ Happy Birthday to... ♪

♪ You! ♪

♪ Happy Birthday to... ♪

♪ You! ♪

Oh no!

My wrapping paper!

Sorry!

It's ruined!

Oh.

I'm sorry, Pinkalicious.

Wait...

maybe it isn't!

(fireworks streaming and popping)

Whoa!

Ooh!

(giggling)

Fireworks!

Fireworks?

Yes!

These splotches look like fireworks

when they burst in the sky.

Oh yeah!

I see that!

(giggles)

It's a good thing you bumped into me, Peter!

That's how I got the idea!

Maybe I should bump into you again.

(laughing)

Daddy loves fireworks.

I think I'll make more.

Yeah, and I'm going to practice some more.

Uh...how about you two

take the painting and practicing outside

where there's more room?

Okay, Mommy.

♪ ♪

(wind gusts)

Oh no!

My wrapping paper's blowing away!

I think I got it!

No!

Peter, can you help me?

Please?!

I'll get it!

(wind gusts)

(both scream)

Ooh!

(giggles)

We got it!

We got it!

(giggling)

Oh, no!

My polka dots!

They don't look like polka pots anymore.

They just look like line thingies.

The wind blew them together.

Hey, maybe I can make them into something else.

Huh?

Like what?

Well...

(paint swooshing)

A sunset!

A sunset?

Look.

The orange and yellow kind of look like a sunset.

Oh yeah.

Daddy loves sunsets!

I'm glad the wind blew the polka dots together.

Peter, can you help me?

We need to run around the yard really fast.

Like the wind?

Uh-huh!

I want to make the most pinkatacular sunset ever!

(giggling)

Okay, stop!

I think that's enough.

(gasp)

Whoa.

That's pinkatacular, right?

It sure is!

Okay, one more rock in that corner.

Thanks, Peter.

Now the wrapping paper won't blow away.

What should I paint next?

Whatever it is, you better hurry!

Daddy will be home soon.

(barking)

Hey Pinkalicious!

Hi, Rafael!

Hey there, Rusty.

(panting)

What are you making?

Wrapping paper for Daddy's birthday present.

Nice.

(barking)

Rusty, what are you barking at?

(cat meowing)

PINKALICIOUS: (gasps)

Look, a kitty cat!

Rusty! (barking)

(giggles)

Oh no!

I'm sorry!

Aw!

Come back here, Rusty!

(barking)

Good boy!

(cat mewling)

My wrapping paper!

(meowing)

(barking)

No, Rusty!

This way!

Here!

(barking, meowing)

I've got you!

(meows)

(Rusty panting)

I'm sorry, Pinkalicious.

Rusty didn't mean to.

Pinkalicious?

Just give her a minute.

(gasp)

Wow!

(laughing)

Oh!

This is so cool.

Fairy clouds.

Where?

Right here.

The sponge makes Rusty's paw prints

look like fairy clouds.

That's where fairies like to fly.

Oh yeah.

I can see that.

Me, too!

Good thing Rusty got his paw prints

all over the paper.

Attaboy, Rusty!

(barks)

(laughing)

I think I'll make more fairy clouds.

(barking)

Come on, Rusty.

I think you helped enough today.

(barking)

Okay.

I've gotta keep practicing my scooter trick.

Daddy's going to be here any minute!

And fireworks!

Remember the time

Like the one we saw at the beach.

Wow.

How did you do all this?

It was easy.

I just used the wind, a dog, and a sponge.

But don't worry, Daddy,

I'm still going to make you a present.

You already made me a present, Pinkalicious.

I did?

Yes!

I'll show you.

The wrapping paper makes--

a beautiful painting of a landscape.

Oh yeah!

(laughing)

PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): When you make something,

it doesn't always turn out the way you think it will.

Sometimes it turns out to be even better!

(giggling)
