Hola, I'm Diego and this is my cousin...

Dora the Explorer.

Hola.

Do you know what kind of animals these are?

Turtles, right.

At the Animal Rescue Center,

we have lots of different kinds of turtles.

Some turtles live in the water like these little guys.

And some turtles live on land.

They're called tortoises.

Hello.

And today, at the Rescue Center,

we've got a really special turtle called

a giant tortoise.

He's very shy and he's very good at hiding.

Do you see the giant tortoise?

There he is.

Hola, amigos.

Hi, Louie. Hi.

Hola. Hello, big guy.

This is Lonely Louie.

Look at how big he is.

He comes from the Galapagos Islands.

And no one's ever been able to find another one like him.

That's why I'm lonely.

(musical intro playing)

♪ They call me Lonely Louie

♪ Too bad it fits me well

♪ I'm the only one like me, as far as I can tell ♪

♪ I just want a special friend, like everyone I see ♪

♪ Then maybe we could start a family ♪

(sniffs)

Aw, don't worry, Louie.

♪ 'Cause I'm an animal scientist ♪

♪ And I explore the world

BOTH: ♪ Together we can help ♪

♪ Our good friend Louie find a girl ♪

Do you really think you could?

♪ Yes, I do

Come on.

BOTH: ♪ Find a friend

♪ We've got to find a friend for Louie ♪

BOTH: ♪ In the end

♪ A giant tortoise family

♪ Oh, how happy I would be

BOTH: ♪ Find a friend

Everybody needs a friend.

♪ Come on and find a friend ♪

ALL: ♪ For Louie.

BOTH: Yeah!

Louie, if we find a girl giant tortoise just like you,

you can have your own giant tortoise family.

Yeah, we can save the tortoise species

and then the giant tortoises will be around forever.

Maybe my special camera Click can help us find

another giant tortoise.

DIEGO & DORA: Say "Click."

We need to find a girl giant tortoise just like Louie.

No one's ever been able to find one,

so this is going to be a really tough job.

Giant tortoises live on islands.

Let's zoom through the islands to look for a giant tortoise.

(breathing heavily): I've... got to go...

Say "Boost."

Uh-oh, the picture is blurry.

We have to focus it.

Say "Focus."

Is this a giant tortoise?

Yes, that's it.

To take a picture of the giant tortoise, say "Click."

Now, you tell Diego and Dora

you found a tortoise.

What did you find?

A tortoise?

Right, a giant tortoise.

Mira, Louie.

She's a giant tortoise just like you.

Just like me?

Maybe we can be friends.

We've got to find out where she is.

We can do that if Click super-zooms out.

DIEGO & DORA: Say "Super-zoom."

Hey, those look like the Galapagos Islands

where Louie comes from,

but that island's not in the book.

So it must be the...

DIEGO & DORA: Lost Island.

No one's ever been there before.

That's why no one's ever found

another tortoise like Louie.

We've got to go to the Lost Island

and find a tortoise friend for Louie

and save the tortoises...

DIEGO & DORA: ...forever.

Come on.

DIEGO: Whoa, look at all the fog.

Diego, the Lost Island should be nearby,

but I can't see it with all this fog.

Me neither.

We've got to blow the fog out of the way to find the island.

Help us blow away the fog.

Put your hands around your mouth and...

blow, blow, blow, blow!

Now do you see the island?

Ooh, there's the Lost Island.

I see it, I see it.

Look, Diego,

there are rocks under the water.

The ship can't get too close to the island.

Or it'll get stuck in the rocks.

Hey, we could ride the waves in to shore

if we had something to float on.

Diego, Diego,

giant tortoises are really big and heavy,

but we can float in the water.

Cool.

We can ride Louie like a boogie board

and ride the wave in to shore.

(vests inflate)

Now when you see a wave, yell, "Wave!"

BOTH: Wave!

Now say, "Wheeee!"

ALL: Wheeee!

You're really good at floating, Louie.

Gracias, Diego.

(vests deflate)

Wow, the Lost Island!

Now we have to find

the girl giant tortoise friend for Louie.

She could be anywhere.

I know someone who can help us find her.

Who do we ask for help when we don't know which way to go?

The Map, right!

Will you check the Map to find the giant tortoise?

You have to say, "Map!"

Louder! Map!

Ooh, Dora and Diego

made it to the Lost Island.

Now they have to find

a girl giant tortoise friend for Lonely Louie.

Do you see a giant tortoise?

Yeah, there she is on Turtle Rock!

To get to Turtle Rock, first you take a shortcut

through the Hidden Tunnel,

then go across the Crater Forest.

That's full of holes, so be careful.

And that's how you get to Turtle Rock.

So remember, Tunnel,

Forest, Turtle Rock.

Say it with me.

Tunnel, Forest, Turtle Rock.

Tunnel, Forest, Turtle Rock.

Tunnel, Forest, Turtle Rock!

Tunnel,

Turtle Rock.

Where do we go first?

The Tunnel, right.

The Hidden Tunnel.

I don't see the Hidden Tunnel.

It must be hidden around here somewhere.

Check out Louie eating those leaves.

I think he's uncovering something.

Help Louie chew through the leaves.

Say, "Chew, chew, chew!"

It's working! Again!

BOTH: Chew, chew, chew!

Now do you see the Tunnel?

¡Sí, allí está!

¡Mira, Louie!

You found the Hidden Tunnel!

¡Muy bien!

I like chewing leaves.

Come on, let's go.

Whoa! This tunnel is dark.

We can use my glow stick to light the way.

Help me shake the stick to make it glow.

Put your hand out to shake the stick and...

Shake, shake, shake.

Shake, shake, shake.

¡Fantástico, Diego!

¡Qué bonitas!

Wow!

Look at the cave drawings!

Cool!

Hey, there are lots of paths.

I wonder which one goes through the tunnel.

Bienvenidos, amigos.

¡Mucho gusto!

We need to get through the tunnel,por favor.

So we can find a friend for Lonely Louie.

Aww, that's sweet.

To get through the tunnel,

there's just one way to go.

You must find the giant tortoise picture that glows.

We have to find the picture of a giant tortoise.

When you see a picture of a giant tortoise,

say "giant tortoise."

DIEGO & DORA: Giant tortoise.

So we have to go this way.

¡Vámonos!

This way out.

That's the way out,

but that hole is too small for us to get through.

I think I can squeeze through.

Uh, oh,soy enorme.

I'm too big.

And I think I'm stuck.

(grunting)

Don't worry.

We'll help you, Louie.

Look! Giant tortoises are really good at digging.

We've got to help Louie

dig himself out of the hole.

In English, we say, "dig."

In Spanish, we say,"excava."

Say...

BOTH: ¡Excava!

Again!

BOTH: ¡Excava!

He's almost through.

One more time.

BOTH: ¡Excava!

¡Excava, excava, excava!

We made it through the Hidden Tunnel!

You are great at speaking Spanish.

for Louie to save the tortoises forever.

BOOBY BIRDS: Booby traps, booby traps!

¡Cuidado! Watch out!

Hey, those are blue-footed booby birds.

Miren, it's Lonely Louie.

Hi, Louie. Hola, amigo.

Hi, Louie. Hola, amigo.

Hola, amigo. Hi, Louie.

Hi, booby birds.

We're taking Louie to Turtle Rock.

To find a tortoise friend for him.

Aw, that's so nice.

Then he can have a family.

And I won't be lonely anymore.

If you're going to Turtle Rock,

you better watch out for the booby traps ahead.

The booby traps have spiky cactus plants.

ALL: Ooh.

Watch out or you could get stuck.

DIEGO: There are spiky cactus plants

making booby traps in the sand.

How are we going to get across them without getting stuck?

Diego! Dora!

Giant tortoises have thick skin on our feet,

so we can step on the spiky cactus plants.

And then you can squash them so we don't get stuck.

¡Fantástico, Louie!

We have to tell Louie when we see a booby trap.

If you see a spiky trap, yell, "booby trap!"

BOTH: Booby trap!

(squishes)

DIEGO: Great!

DORA: Let's keep looking.

BOTH: Booby trap!

(squishes)

BOTH: Booby trap!

We made it past the booby traps!

Good job, Louie!

¡Gracias!

Come on!

We've gotta find a tortoise friend for Louie!

Let's go!

Oops!

¡Diego, Dora,ayúdenme!

Uh-oh.

Louie fell down a crater.

So this must be the Crater Forest.

And Louie fell on his back and can't get up.

Nope, I can't get up!

Giant tortoises can get stuck on their backs!

We've got to help Louie rock and roll

to get back on his feet.

Rock from side to side and sing with us.

(rock and roll musical introduction playing)

So that's the way out of Crater Forest.

And there's Turtle Rock!

LOUIE: I see it! I see it!

Come on, let's go!

We made it to Turtle Rock.

Oh boy, I can't wait to find my new friend!

(grunting)

Just a little more!

I don't know if I can make it!

Louie, we can help push you up the rock.

Giant tortoises can weigh pounds,

so we need your help to push Louie.

Are you strong?

Really, really strong?

Great!

Put your hands out in front of you

and push, push,

push, push!

We made it!

¡Lo hicimos!

Great pushing!

We've got to find a friend for Louie.

Do you see another giant tortoise?

¡Sí, allí esta!

LOUIE: Aw, she's hiding.

Remember, giant tortoises are shy.

So we don't want to scare her.

Oh no!

Let me talk to her.

We have to be very gentle.

Let's call softly to the giant tortoise.

Whisper, "Hello, giant tortoise!"

Hola.

I'm an animal rescuer,

and we've come to be your friends.

I'm Diego, and this is Dora.

And I'm Lonely Louie.

I'm Leslie.

I was lonesome, too.

I thought I was the only giant tortoise like me in the world.

You're a giant tortoise?

I'm a giant tortoise, too.

Now we can be friends.

And we won't be lonely anymore.

(speaking in rhythm): Giant tortoises!

(speaking in rhythm): Say it with us!

DIEGO & DORA: Giant tortoises!

Say it louder!

DIEGO & DORA: Giant tortoises!

Everybody scream!

ALL: Giant tortoises!

Yay!

And we saved the species.

ALL: Yay!

We helped Louie find a new friend.
