- Today we're going to the grasslands of tanzania

In africa, over here.

Hola, I'm diego.

- And I'm baby jaguar.

Meow, meow.

- We're at the animal rescue center in africa.

And we're with some very special animals.

- They're big cats like me, but they're not jaguars,

They're not leopards,

And they're not tigers.

- What are they?

Right, lions.

Son leones.

- Hello. - Hi.

I'm lion cub.

Roar.

- And I'm daddy lion.

Roar!

- My daddy has a big roar

'Cause he's a big lion.

Right, daddy?

- [Laughs]

That's right, lion cub.

- Daddy lion came all the way here

To take lion cub back home to his family.

- My daddy takes care of all the lions in my pride, diego.

- A pride is a family of lions.

- I can't wait to get back to my family.

My mommy, brothers, and sisters

And all my cousins are having a party

To welcome me back home to my family.

Are you coming to my party, baby jaguar?

- Yeah!

I love parties.

- Me too.

[Laughing]

- Roar!

- Hey, that sounds like the lion party.

Let's go.

Come on, come on, come on.

[Laughing]

- Boy, diego, lion cub really can't wait

To get to his party.

- We've got to get there fast.

- Super duper fast, diego.

- Our special camera, click,

Can help us find the quickest way to lion cub's party.

Say "click."

- Say "click."

♪ I can see and hear the animal in trouble ♪

Hi, I'm click the camera.

We need to find lion cub's pride.

They're having a welcome home party for him.

A lion pride sounds like this.

- Roar!

- Let's zoom through the grasslands

And listen for the animals that go...

- Roar!

- Bark!

- Do those sound like lions?

No.

What animals are those?

Yeah, those are zebras.

- Honk!

- Do those sound like lions?

No.

What animals are those?

Right, those are hippos.

Let's keeping looking.

- Roar!

- Do those sound like lions?

Yes!

That's a lion pride.

They're having a party for lion cub.

- You tell diego you found the lion pride.

- What did you find?

Right, the lion pride.

- That's my family, diego.

We've got to find out how to get there.

We can do that if click super-zooms out.

Say "super zoom."

- Look, diego.

- Roar. - Roar.

It looks like some lions are in trouble.

The baby lion is going to fall into the river.

- And that's my cousin.

She's stuck in a net in those trees.

- And sister lion is hiding in the grass.

The lions need me.

- My daddy helps all the lions.

He's the strongest, bravest, best daddy

In the whole wide world.

I love him.

- Aw.

I love you too, lion cub.

- Come on!

Let's help all the lions

So they can get to lion cub's party.

¡Vamanos, amigos!

Clap your hands with me.

Clap, clap, clap!

Clap, clap, clap, clap!

Clap, clap, clap!

Clap, clap, clap!

Great.

Let's call out to the lions.

Say "roar."

Roar!

- ♪ Go, diego, go ♪

♪Vamos, diego, vamos ♪

- That sounds like baby lion.

We've got to find him.

- But we don't know which path to take, diego.

-Miren, footprints.

- But which ones are baby lion's?

- Lion footprints look like this.

- Lion footprints have four toes.

We have to look for footprints with four toes.

Do these footprints have four toes?

- No.

So these can't be lion footprints.

Hey, do these footprints have four toes?

No.

So these aren't the lion footprints either.

Do these footprints have four toes?

Yeah!

The baby lion's footprints lead that way.

- Help! Help!

- And look, there he is.

- Diego, that's my baby brother.

- Oops.

- Uh-oh, baby lion's not a very good swimmer.

We've got to save him.

- And we've got to hurry.

- Come on, amigos.

Let's go!

- Help!

- Baby lion is floating away.

- Help! Help!

- What do we do, diego?

What do we do?

- I'm coming, baby lion.

- Daddy lion will save him.

Daddy lion needs to get to baby lion.

Daddy lion's a really great jumper

And can jump from rock to rock.

We can help.

Is baby lion in the stream with big rocks

Or little rocks?

Big rocks, right.

Wow, daddy lion is a really great jumper.

Now which stream is baby floating into,

The one with the big rocks, the medium rocks,

Or the little rocks?

The little rocks.

Correcto.

Whoa, baby lion's heading for a waterfall.

- Whew.

- Yay, daddy!

- Awesome rescue.

- Thanks, diego.

- Roar! Roar!

[All laughing]

- Looks like baby lion is okay.

- I can't wait to get to your party, lion cub.

- Me too.

[Laughing]

-¡Vamanos, amigos!

Let's get to lion cub's party.

[Loud snoring]

- Hey, that sounds like some animals are sleeping.

What animals are asleep?

Right, elephants.

Son elefantes.

We don't want to wake up the sleeping elephants.

- Diego, lions are really good at creeping and crawling.

- Yeah, we can creep and crawl like lions

To get past the elephants.

- Like this, daddy?

Look.

- Like this, lion cub.

All: ooh.

- All cats are great at creeping and crawling.

Let's all creep and crawl to get past the elephants.

Get on your hands and knees to creep and crawl.

Get on your hands and knees, please,

And creep and crawl.

Creep and crawl.

Creep and crawl.

Uh-oh.

This one's awake.

Freeze.

He's asleep again.

Creep and crawl.

Creep and crawl.

¡Que bien!

We made it past los elefantes.

- You're great at creeping and crawling.

- I can't wait to show everyone in my family

How we can creep and crawl like big lions.

- Come on, amigos.

- Help! Help!

Roar!

- That sounds like my cousin, diego.

- I don't seem him, diego.

- Cousin lion is stuck in the net.

My spotting scope will help us.

Make a spotting scope with your hands to look for the lion.

If you see a lion, say "lion."

Lion!

- There he is!

- Help!

- I'll get you down, cousin lion.

Got it!

- Thanks, diego.

Uh-oh.

I can't get out of this net.

- We need to use something sharp so we can rip the net.

I know.

Lions have super sharp claws.

- Look at my claws, diego.

They're super duper sharp.

- Ooh, lion claws are sharp.

I've got sharp claws too.

- We can all use our claws to scratch open the top of the net.

- Yeah, make lion claws with your hands

To help cousin lion get out.

And scratch.

We need to scratch again.

Make lion claws and...

All: scratch.

- Is it opened all the way?

No.

One more time.

All: scratch.

- Yay!

- You're great at making sharp claws like lions.

- [Laughing]

- There shouldn't be any animal traps here, diego.

- That's right.

This area's protected for the lions.

- We have to make sure there aren't any more animal traps.

- Great idea, daddy lion.

We don't want any more lions to get stuck in traps.

- I can find the animal traps, diego.

Mreow, mreow!

- Baby jaguar, watch out that you don't get trapped...

Yourself.

- Uh, diego?

I think I'm gonna need some help.

- Okay, buddy.

We've got to help baby jaguar find the rest of the traps.

In english, we say "trap."

In spanish, we say"trampa."

Can you say"trampa"?

Great!

When you see a trap, yell"¡trampa!"

¡Trampa!

Good job!

¡Trampa!

All right!

Remember, if you see a trap, say "¡trampa!"

¡Trampa! ¡Trampa!

¡Excelente!

¡Trampa!

- Great job, baby jaguar.

- Yay!

We got all the animal traps.

You're great at speaking spanish.

- Now, no one in my family

Is going to get stuck in any more animal traps.

Both: yay!

- Diego, we made it past the trees.

- And look, the grassy field.

- That's where sister lion is hiding.

-Vamanos, amigos.

Let's go.

- Roar!

[Giggles]

- Hey, that sounds like my little sister.

- She doesn't sound like she's in trouble.

- She loves to play hide and seek.

- She's great at hiding.

- I'm hiding in the grass.

[Giggles]

- Ooh, lions are great at hiding in the grass, diego.

- That's because the color of a lion's fur

Helps it stay camouflaged in the grass.

- [Laughing]

- I don't see your little sister, lion cub.

- I don't either.

- Let's look for lion cub's little sister.

- Yeah, yeah, yeah.

- Yeah, yeah. - Y-yeah, yeah.

- Let's find her.

[Grass rustles]

- Oh, something's in there.

Is it sister lion?

- No!

- That's a cricket.

There's something hiding.

Is that sister lion?

- No!

- That's baby hippo.

- There's something.

Maybe that's sister lion.

- No!

- What animal is that?

- A giraffe!

- Right.

Something's hiding in there.

Is that sister lion?

- Yeah, there she is.

- Ooh, you found me.

- Great job.

You found lion cub's little sister.

- You're great at playing hide and seek.

- Come on.

Let's go to lion cub's party.

All: party! Party! Party!

Yay!

- Look, diego.

We're almost there.

- Come on, amigos.

Uh-oh, buffalos are heading this way.

- Buffalos?

- There sure are a lot of them.

- How do we stop them, diego?

How do we stop them?

- We've got to scare them away.

- I can make the buffalos go away

With my loud lion roar.

- Daddy, can we all roar?

- Sure you can.

We're gonna have to be really loud

To scare away all those buffalos.

- We can be really loud.

- Yeah, let's all roar really loud like lions.

On the count of three.

One, two, three.

- Roar!

- Louder.

- Roar!

- One more time.

- Roar!

- Uh-oh.

Lions.

-Que bien.

You're great at roaring loud like a lion.

- Let's go to my party.

Come on, hurry.

Let's go.

- We made it to your party!

All: welcome home, lion cub.

- Party!

- Party! - Party!

- Wow, you have a big family, lion cub.

- Yeah, yeah.

Those are my brothers and sisters and cousins.

And there's my mommy.

Mommy, I jumped and creeped and crawled

And used my claws.

And I even roared,

Just like daddy.

Both: roar!

- Diego, lion cub roars just like his daddy.

- It's likemi papi always says,

"De tal padre tal hijo,"

Like father like son.

[Lions giggle]

- Lion cub sure loves his party.

- And I love being back home with my lion pride.

- Lions!

- Come on! Say it with us!

- Lions!

- Say it louder!

- Lions!

Everybody scream.

- Lions!

Yay!

- ♪ They can jump really high ♪

- ♪ As high as can be ♪

- I can creepy and crawl so no one can hear me.

- Come on.

Let's creep and crawl with the lions.

Everyone creep and crawl.

- Stay really low.

- Creep and crawl.

- There you go.

- ♪ We've got sharp claws ♪

- And they can hide really well.

- Let's roar like lions.

Everyone yell.

- Roar!

- Say "roar!"

- Roar!

- Roar!

All: roar!

- Roar!

- Roar!

All: roar!

- Lion cub loves being back with his lion pride.

-¡Mision cumplida!

- Rescue complete.

- You're great at helping animals.

What does a lion do?

- Let's review.

- Does a lion whistle or roar?

Right, they roar.

Daddy lions roar really loudly

To protect their families.

- To move without being seen, do lines creep and crawl

Or stomp?

Yeah, they creep and crawl.

- Do lions hide in grass

Or in the snow?

Correcto, in the grass!

- Hey, we've almost finished the puzzle.

Did diego save the lion from a train

Or an animal trap?

Yeah.

From an animal trap.

That's why there are animal reserves,

To keep lions and other animals safe from traps.

- Yay!

We solved the puzzle.

What's that a picture of?

Right, a lion cub.

And here's a picture of baby jaguar and me

Taking down more animal traps...

- To make sure no more animals get stuck.

- And there are good things we can do

To help animals every day.

If you see something dangerous for animals,

Like a plastic bag or bottle top,

Make sure you throw it in the garbage.

They can't do that,

So it's our job to help them.

Remember, we all share the same world.

And we can all help take care of it...
