- ♪ Alicia's on the mission ♪

♪ We're all going for a ride ♪

♪ Diego's on the run ♪

♪ With baby jaguar by his side ♪

♪ Discovering together ♪

♪ Yeah, we're always having fun ♪

♪ Helping out each other ♪

♪ Is good for everyone ♪

♪ And there goes diego ♪

- Whee!

All: go, diego, go!

- Today we're going to madagascar, over here.

Hola, I'm diego,

And I'm here with my friend baby jaguar.

- Raow, raow!

Hi.

- We're bringing some animals back to their home

On an island called madagascar.

Can you say "madagascar"?

Great!

- Madagascar is the only place where these animals belong.

- Yeah! - It's our home.

- Can't wait to get back. - Home, home!

- These animals used to be pets, but they shouldn't be pets.

It made them sad.

It's like mypapi always says:

Los animales pertenecen en su hogar natural.

- Yeah, animals from the wild

Belong in their homes in the wild.

And these animals belong in the wilds of madagascar.

- Yeah, whoo-hoo! - Home, home!

- ♪ I'll really be glad to see mom and see dad ♪

Chameleons: ♪ and all of our friends in the trees ♪

- ♪ I don't want to be kept as somebody's pet ♪

All: ♪ we just wanna be free ♪

♪ Madagascar, the wild place, our only home ♪

♪ Madagascar, the island that we call our own ♪

♪ Madagascar ♪

♪ And now we're back where we belong ♪

- ♪ We'll go back home ♪

♪ To where our family is waiting there ♪

Animals: ♪ hurry, hurry, now we've come so far ♪

All: ♪ madagascar ♪

♪ Madagascar ♪

♪ Madagascar ♪

- Thanks, diego. - Thanks, diego.

[Together] home, home!

Let's find our families.

- Diego, look.

One of the animals is still here.

- That's a lemur.

- A what?

- It's a lemur.

- Oh!

- Can you say "lemur"?

Great! Say, "hi, lemur."

- Hi, there.

I'm sara the sifaka lemur.

- Why are you frowning, sara?

- I don't feel like smiling

Because I haven't seen my family in a long time.

- We'll take you back to your family.

- Really?

- Hey, you almost smiled.

- I was thinking about my family.

Madagascar's a really big island,

And I can't remember where my home is.

Oh, if I can't find my family, I'll never smile again.

- Don't worry, sara.

Our special camera, click, can help us find your family.

Say "click."

- ♪ Say "click" ♪

♪ Take a pic ♪

We need to find sara's family.

Sara's a lemur.

Lemurs sound like this.

- Weesk, weesk!

- Let's zoom through the island

And listen for the animals that go:

- Weesk, weesk!

- Ribbit, ribbit!

- Does that sound like lemurs?

No!

What animals are those?

Right, frogs.

That's a family of tomato frogs.

- Squeak!

- Does that sound like lemurs?

No!

That's a family of tenrecs.

Remember, a lemur sounds like this:

- Weesk, weesk!

- Let's keep looking.

- Weesk, weesk!

- Does that sound like lemurs?

Yes!

That's sara's family.

Now, you tell diego you found the lemurs.

- What did you find?

Lemurs, right.

- That's them! That's my family, diego.

They're in the rain forest.

I can't wait to see them.

- Hey, you almost...

- Smiled.

I know, baby jaguar.

That's because I can't wait to see my family.

Let's hurry, hurry, hurry.

- We've got to see even more of the picture

So we can find the fastest way to sara's family.

We can do that if click super-zooms out.

Say "super zoom!"

Miren, we've got to go

Past the spiky trees and the rocky caves

To get to sara's family in the rain forest.

- Yay! Let's go, diego.

- Come on,amigos.

Let's take sara back home to her lemur family.

- And then she'll smile again.

- Clap your hands with me.

Clap, clap, clap!

Clap, clap, clap!

Clap, clap, clap!

Clap, clap, clap!

Great!

Let's cheer for sara.

Say "lemur!"

Lemur!

- ♪ Go, diego, go ♪

♪Vamos, diego, vamos ♪

- Ooh, the spiky trees.

- Help, help!

- Hey, an animal's in trouble.

Come on.

There's a lemur.

- Uh-oh.

Help, help!

- His tail is stuck in the spiky thorns,

And the branch he's on is breaking.

- Whoa, this tree is all spiky.

- I can climb it.

- That's right.

Sifaka lemurs have really tough hands

That are great for climbing spiky trees.

But we need to use my tough lemur gloves

To climb up the spiky tree.

Here, you can use some tough lemur gloves too.

Will you climb with me?

Excelente!

Quick, we're going to have to climb the tree super fast,

Before the lemur falls.

Put your hands out in front of you to climb.

Now climb, climb, climb.

Mas rapido!

Climb, climb, climb!

I've got you.

- Whew, that was just in time, diego.

- Yeah!

- Thanks for saving me.

- Diego, is he a sifaka lemur, like sara?

- There are lots of different kinds of lemurs in madagascar.

Different sizes, different colors.

Some even have different tails.

We can check to see if he's a sifaka lemur.

They're both lemurs, and they're both the same size.

They both have long tails.

What's different about these lemurs?

Correcto!

They're different colors, and their faces look different.

He's not a sifaka lemur.

- Nope, I'm a brown lemur.

And there's my family.

- Diego, I think sara's smiling.

- Did you see how happy brown lemur was?

I'm going to be super happy when I see my family too.

- Lemurs love their families.

-Vamonos, amigos!

Let's take sara back home to her lemur family.

- And then she'll smile.

- Come on!

I can't wait to find my family.

- Whoa, you're hopping, sara.

- I don't walk on all fours like you, baby jaguar.

When I'm on the ground, I hop like a sifaka lemur

And hop sideways.

Hop, hop, hop!

- Roar, roar!

- Uh-oh, that sounds like a fossa.

- A fossa? Where, where, where?

Psst, diego.

What's a fossa?

- Roar, roar!

Diego and sara: that's a fossa.

- He's right behind us.

- Uh-oh, uh-oh.

Lemurs are afraid of fossas.

- Come on; let's help sara hop to get away from the fossa.

You have to stand up to hop.

Stand up, please.

Stand up, and get ready to sifaka hop.

Now...

♪ Hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop ♪

♪ Hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop ♪

It's working.

Keep hopping.

♪ Hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop ♪

- I'm so dizzy.

- Yay, the fossa went away!

You're great at hopping like a sifaka lemur.

- You hopped just like me.

- Rawr, rawr!

We made it to the rocky caves.

- Yeah, and look.

[Together] a lemur!

- Uh, diego?

He doesn't look like a sifaka lemur.

- [Laughs] that's right, baby jaguar.

Remember, lemurs can be

Different sizes, shapes, and colors.

What's different about these lemurs?

Yeah, they're different sizes, colors,

And their ears and eyes look different.

He's not a sifaka lemur.

- Nope, I'm a mouse lemur.

- Wow, there are so many kinds of lemurs on madagascar.

- What's the matter, mouse lemur?

- I was looking for my family, but I can't find them.

They live in one of those dark caves.

- We'll help you find your family, mouse lemur.

Let's check my field journal.

My field journal is programmed in spanish.

In english, we say, "find the animal."

In spanish, we say, "busca el animal."

Say"busca el animal."

Look; when you flash a light on lemurs' eyes, they shine.

What color eye shine do they have?

Right, yellow.

My flashlight will help us spot the lemurs' yellow eye shine.

Do those eyes shine yellow?

No, they shine red.

What animal's that?

Si, that's a bat.

Do those eyes shine yellow?

No, they shine red too.

What animal's that?

Yeah, that's a crocodile.

Do those eyes shine yellow?

Yeah!

That's a mouse lemur.

Great spotting.

- Yay, that's my mommy!

Thanks for helping me find my family.

[Giggles]

- Mouse lemur was so happy to see his family.

- Sara, did you just smile?

- Just a little bit.

But when I see my family, I'll smile really, really big.

-Vamonos, amigos.

Let's take sara back home to her family...

- So she can smile really big.

- I'm almost home. I'm almost home!

- Look, we're almost to the rain forest.

- And maybe I'll find my family.

- Diego, more lemurs.

Diego, are those sifaka lemurs, like sara?

-Vamos a ver.

They're both lemurs.

Are they the same size?

Yeah.

Are their tails the same?

No, this lemur has stripes on its tail.

- And they're different colors too.

- She's not a sifaka lemur.

- We're ring-tailed lemurs.

- Wow, there are lots of different kinds of lemurs

On madagascar.

- We saw a whole family of sifaka lemurs

Bouncing through the trees in the rain forest.

- I bet it's my family, diego.

Let's go!

- Thanks, ring-tails!

- We made it to the rain forest.

But where's my family?

Where are they, diego?

- Hmm.

- Weesk!

- Hey, that sounds like sifaka lemurs.

Donde estan?

Yeah, there they are.

- Hmm.

Diego, they're too far away

For me to see if they're my family.

- And now they're bouncing away!

- We've got to hurry

So we can see if that's sara's family.

- Hurry, hurry, hurry.

- Whoa, sara's bouncing in the trees

To get to the lemurs.

- Awesome!

We can bounce with her.

Come on!

- We've got to bounce really far to reach those lemurs, diego.

- Help us bounce in the trees to reach the lemurs.

Bounce in your seats. Bounce in your seats.

And...

Bounce! Bounce! Bounce!

Bounce, bounce, bounce!

♪ We've got to help get sara to her family ♪

♪ So everyone bounce to get us through the trees ♪

♪ Now bounce ♪

♪ Now bounce, bounce ♪

♪ Great! We're getting closer ♪

♪ Now bounce ♪

Yeah, those are sifaka lemurs.

- My family! My family!

- You found sara's family.

Yay!

- Sara! - Welcome home.

- Welcome back to our family.

All: yay!

- Look, diego.

I think sara's happy.

- I think so too, baby jaguar.

- Yay, I'm back home again in madagascar.

- ♪ The wild place, my only home ♪

- Diego, sara's smiling super big now.

- That's because lemurs love their families.

- We really, really do.

- Yay!

We brought sara back to her lemur family.

- ♪ Come on; say it with us ♪

- ♪ Say it louder ♪

[Together] ♪ lemurs ♪

- ♪ Everybody, scream ♪

[Together] ♪ lemurs, yay! ♪

- ♪ Madagascar's where sifaka lemurs are found ♪

- ♪ And when they're not up in trees... ♪

- ♪ We're hopping on the ground ♪

- Come on and do the sifaka hop.

Hop sideways like a lemur.

And...

Hop! Hop! Hop! Hop!

Hop! Hop! Hop, hop, hop!

- ♪ They've got tough hands ♪

- ♪ To climb up spiky trees ♪

- ♪ We really love to bounce ♪

- ♪ Come bounce with me ♪

Bounce in your seats, and say, "bounce."

- Adventure complete.

- We brought sara back to her lemur family.

- And now she's smiling again.

- I'm so happy to be with my family

That I'm never going to stop smiling now.

[Laughter]

- What does a sifaka lemur do?

Both: let's review.

- Does a lemur need to live where there is snow or trees?

Right, trees.

- To get away from a fossa,

Did sara hop or swim?

Si, she hopped.

Sifaka lemurs hop when they're on the ground.

- Does a sifaka lemur have a long tail or a short tail?

A long tail, right.

- Hey, we've almost finished the puzzle.

- Did diego take the animals

Back to their homes in madagascar

Or to the bottom of the ocean?

Right, madagascar.

- Yay, we solved the puzzle!

What's that a picture of?

Right, a sifaka lemur.

And there are good things we can do

To help animals every day.

- Choose animals like dogs, cats, and goldfish for pets.

- But animals that live in the wild--

Like tigers, lions, and lemurs-- should stay in the wild.

And we can all help take care of it...
