- We're gonna show them all around the rescue center.

- That's our animal rescue lake.

It's where we help water animals.

- I see an animal in the lake.

- What animal is that?

Right, a duck.

That's mommy duck.

- Quack! Quack!

- What's wrong, mommy duck?

- I can't find my baby.

Have you seen him?

- No, but we'll keep an eye out for him, okay?

- Thank you.

Quack! Quack!

- Rosita and martin,

You can help us look for the baby duck.

And we'll need your help too.

If you see the baby duck, say, "duck."

[Together] duck!

- Yeah, there he is.

- Do you know what other animal is in the pond?

[Together] a crocodile.

- Alicia, I can save the baby duck.

-Bueno.

Use my lasso,hermano.

- Great idea.

The crocodile doesn't see the duck yet.

We've got a lasso that branch so I can save the little duck.

Say, "lasso."

- Lasso!

- Got it!

You're safe now.

- Quack, quack.

- Great job, diego.

- Yeah.

- Diego, I'll take the baby duck

Back to his mommy in rescue lake.

She'll be so happy.

- That crocodile looks kind of mean, diego.

- Aw, he's not mean.

He's strong and brave and powerful and fierce.

I've had lots of adventures with fierce animals,

And they all became my good friends.

- Diego, you've got to tell us about your fiercest adventures.

- Yeah!

- Sure.

That's our adventure cave.

It's where we keep all our cool stuff

From our fiercest adventures.

- Diego, it won't open.

- We really want to see your adventure cave.

- The door will only open if we say the secret password.

In english we say, "fierce animals."

In spanish we say...

- Cool adventure cave, diego.

- It's filled with lots of stuff

That we we've brought back from our adventures.

- Ooh, look at that.

- And that.

[Together] whoa.

- Look. What animals are those?

Right. Gorillas.

Gorillas are really good at looking fierce.

- Will you tell us about your fierce adventure

With the gorilla?

- Please, please, please!

-Claro que si.

I remember when I met gorilla.

I was in the rain forest in central africa.

This is one of the few places in africa where gorillas live.

[Gruff barking sound]

That sounds like a gorilla,

A really powerful gorilla.

There he is.

- [Barking gruffly]

- He's acting really fierce.

I think something's wrong.

Oh, his foot is caught in that rope.

- [Barking gruffly]

- We've got to help gorilla.

Let's show him we're friends.

I'm gonna lower my head and back away.

When he sees that, he'll know we're here to help

And he'll calm down.

Is he calming down?

Yes! That's great!

Gorilla, we're here to help you.

- Really?

- Yeah.

- Well, do you think you could help me out of this trap?

- Sure, I can.

Let's help him.

But remember, only animal experts

Should ever get close to animals in the wild.

- Thanks!

- You're welcome.

I'm diego, and we're animal rescuers.

- Nice to meet you, diego.

- Is everything okay?

- Well, diego, I was looking for my babies

When I got stuck in that trap.

- We'll help you find your ba--

[Loud wheezing call]

Hey, that sounds like...

Elephants!

Uh-oh!

- And look!

Those are my babies!

The elephants don't see them.

We've got to save my babies, diego.

- I know what we can do.

Elephants are really jumpy.

If we look fierce like gorillas, they'll run the other way.

- Yeah, diego.

I can look really fierce!

- Ooh, thatis fierce.

We can look fierce too.

Make a fierce gorilla face.

Ooh, you look really fierce.

Come on!

We've got to help the gorilla scare away the elephants.

Let's b*at on our chests like gorillas and say,

"Ooh, ooh, ooh!"

Now b*at your chest and say...

- ♪ No time for fun ♪

♪ No time for play ♪

♪ Let's all chase those elephants away ♪

♪ We'll get those elephants to give it a rest ♪

- ♪ Bring on the noise so they're impressed ♪

- Yay, we made the elephants go away.

You're great at looking fierce like a gorilla.

- Look, the baby gorillas want to act fierce too.

[Laughter]

- Ooh!

- You look so fierce!

- Really fierce!

- Wow!

[Together] daddy!

- Babies, this is diego.

[Together] diego!

- [Giggling]

[Together] thanks for saving us.

- Are you ready to go home to mommy now?

[Together] yay!

- The gorillas are so happy.

- Come on.

- And that's how I met my friend gorilla and his babies.

- Wow, diego.

Gorillas are fierce.

- Yeah, especially when they're protecting their babies.

- But they can be nice too, right, diego?

- Right.

- Can we see more fierce animals?

- Yeah, please, diego.

- Look.

That animal's fierce.

It has eight arms and lives in the ocean.

What animal is that?

Right. It's an octopus.

Es mi amigo, blue-ringed octopus.

- But, diego...

- It doesn't look very fierce.

- Nope.

- He might not look fierce,

But he's one of the most powerful animals in the ocean.

[Together] really?

- Tell us about the blue-ringed octopus.

- Tell us, diego. -Si, si.

- Come on! Come on!

- I remember when I met blue-ringed octopus.

-Hola. We're in australia.

They've got lots of fierce animals here.

- And we're going diving into the ocean

In our rescue rover to look for one of them,

The blue-ringed octopus.

- Our rescue rover is programmed in spanish.

In english we say, "dive."

In spanish we say, "sumergete."

Say,"sumergete."

[Together] sumergete.

- You're great at speaking spanish.

Look, diego. A coral reef.

Blue-ringed octopi like to live in coral reefs.

Do you see a blue-ringed octopus?

Yeah, there he is.

[Motor humming]

- Hey, that sounds like a boat.

-Mira, diego.

That boat is headed right for the coral reef

Where the blue-ringed octopus lives.

It broke blue-ringed octopus's home.

- We've got to find blue-ringed octopus.

He must be really scared because his home is broken.

I'll bet he's hiding.

We've got to find him and tell him everything's okay

So he's not scared anymore.

We've got to look for rings that are colored blue.

Here's a ring.

Is it blue?

No, it's red.

We've got to keep looking.

Here's a ring.

Is it blue?

No. What color is it?

Right, yellow.

Wait a minute.

There's a ring.

Is it blue?

Yes!

Is it the blue-ringed octopus?

Yes. Good searching.

Hi, blue-ringed octopus.

I'm diego.

- And I'm alicia.

We're animal rescuers.

- Hi.

- Blue-ringed octopi have a really strong poison

That they use to protect themselves,

So only animal experts should ever get close to one.

- And we never pick them up.

- Whoa! A shark!

- Look. Blue-ringed octopus is glowing.

- I make my rings glow

When I want to scare animals away.

- That lets the other ocean animals know he's fierce

And he might use his super strong poison.

- I don't want to use my poison if I don't have to.

- Look! He's glowing!

And he scared away the shark.

- Whew.

- Diego, more sharks.

- I don't know if I can scare them all away by myself.

- I know.

We can use my glow sticks

To help octopus scare away the sharks.

Alicia, here's a glow stick for you.

Here's one for me.

And here's one for you.

- Diego, we've got to hurry.

- Quick! Put your hand out and...

♪ Shake, shake, shake shake your glow stick ♪

♪ Shake it really hard ♪

- ♪ Shake, shake, shake shake your glow stick ♪

♪ To scare away the sharks ♪

[Together] ♪ shake, shake, shake ♪

- ♪ Help the octopus glow ♪

You scared the sharks away.

- Wow!

I'm so happy now,

But my home is still broken, diego.

- Aw, don't worry, octopus.

We'll help fix your home for you.

- You will?

Gee, thanks!

-Mira, diego.

Those are all the pieces of the coral reef.

- We can put blue-ring octopus's home back together again

Like a puzzle.

Will you help us?

[Together] yay!

- We can use our rescue rover's underwater crane to help us.

In english we say, "crane."

In spanish we say,"grua."

To activate the crane, say,"grua."

- Help us rebuild the blue-ringed octopus's home.

Which piece goes here?

The green piece. Right!

- Got it.

- Which piece fits here?

The yellow piece. Correcto.

- There it is.

- And which piece goes here?

The red coral. Right.

- Got it.

- Great fixing!

- You fixed my home.

[Together] you're welcome.

- And that's how I met my friend blue-ringed octopus.

- Diego, those sharks were a lot bigger than blue-ringed octopus.

- Yeah, but when he glowed, they swam away.

- That's because the blue-ringed octopus is...

[Together] fierce.

- Right, he's small,

But he's really strong and powerful.

- Diego, let's see more fierce animals.

Please!

-Si, por favor, diego.

- Diego, what animal is that?

- Let's listen.

- Growl! Growl!

Growl!

- Ooh. That's a really fierce growl.

- Really, really fierce.

- What fierce animal is it?

[Together] a bear!

- Right. She's a grizzly bear.

A grizzly bear is one of the strongest, bravest,

And fiercest animals in the world.

I remember the time we made friends

With a family of grizzly bears.

My mami and I were backpacking in alaska

When we heard...

- Help! Help!

[Animal growling]

- Hey, that sounds like a baby grizzly bear.

- And he sounds like he's in trouble.

- We've got to find him.

My spotting scope can help us.

Make a spotting scope with your hands like this

To find the bear.

When you see the baby grizzly bear,

Say, "grizzly bear."

There he is.

- Help!

The water's moving really fast.

- We've got to save the little grizzly bear

Before he falls in the water.

My rescue pack can transform into anything we need.

To activate my rescue pack, say,"activate!"

Louder!

Activate!

- Yo! Rescue pack!

- ♪ I'm rescue pack ♪

♪ Coming to the rescue ♪

-Al rescate!

- ♪ Rescue pack ♪

♪ I can turn into a parasail ♪

♪ Or a kayak ♪

Diego needs something he can use

To float down the river to save the little bear.

Can a climbing rope float diego down the river?

No.

Can a bicycle float diego down the river?

Nope.

Can a kayak float diego down the river?

Yes, it can.

Now you tell diego he needs a kayak.

- What do we need?

A kayak!

Excellente!

- Hold on, little grizzly.

Almost there.

I got you, little grizzly.

Now, diego, we've got to paddle as hard as we can

To get to shore.

-Si, mami. We can do it.

We need your help to paddle through the wild water.

Put your hands out in front of you to hold the paddle

And paddle, paddle, paddle.

- It's working.

Keep paddling.

[Together] paddle, paddle, paddle,

Paddle, paddle.

- You're really good at paddling.

- Thanks for helping.

Little grizzly, I'm diego,

And this is my mami.

We're animal rescuers.

- Are you okay, little grizzly?

- Yes, but my brothers and sisters and I

Have been sleeping all winter,

So we're really hungry.

- Oh, little grizzly was looking for fish in the river.

- Yeah, and my brothers and sisters

Were looking for food too.

We've got to find them, diego.

- Little grizzly,

We'll help you find your brothers and sisters.

- Growl!

- Whoa! What was that, mami?

- I think that's mommy grizzly.

She's trying to find grizzly and his brothers and sisters.

- If she sees us with little grizzly,

She might act fierce.

We've got to let her know we're friends.

- You're right, diego.

When you see mommy grizzly acting fierce,

Lower your head with us and back away.

- And I'll let her know you helped me.

Mommy!

- Growl!

- Now, we've got to lower our head

And step back slowly.

- Growl!

- It's working.

- Mommy, you don't have to look fierce.

They're my friends, and they helped me.

- Look.

Mommy grizzly is so happy to see little grizzly.

She doesn't look fierce anymore.

- Oh, I hope I didn't scare you.

Thank you for finding my baby.

Both: you're welcome.

- Now I have many other babies that I need to find.

- Can we help you?

- Maybe.

I've got to call to them really loudly.

Can you growl loud like a grizzly bear?

- Sure, we can.

Let's all growl really loud like grizzly bears

To call to the other babies.

- When we count to three, growl really loudly.

[Together] one, two, three.

Growl!

- There's one baby bear.

Growl again.

[Together] growl!

- There's two more.

- Only one brother left.

- Growl really loudly.

[Together] growl!

- Mommy!

- Little grizz, there you are.

[Together] you found us!

Yay! - Yippee!

[Together] you growled really loudly.

- I'm so happy to see you.

Babies, these are our new friends.

[Together] hi.

- You growled really loudly,

Like a fierce grizzly bear.

Both: thank you.

[Low growling]

- That's my tummy.

I wish I had some fish to eat.

- I'm really hungry. - We're hungry too.

- Let's see if we can find you some fish to eat.

Do you see any fish?

Yeah, there are some fish.

- Fish! - Fish!

- I'll take care of it.

- Each baby bear gets one fish.

Count the bears with me.

♪ One, two, three, four, five baby bears ♪

♪ Had a long, long sleep ♪

♪ One, two, three, four, five baby bears ♪

♪ Want something to eat ♪

- Boy, I'm hungry.

- Yeah, me too.

- ♪ I'll find something to feed all of you ♪

- Count the fish with me.

One.

Two.

Three.

Four.

Five.

Five fish.

All right!

[Together] yum, yum, yum!

- Thanks, diego.

- You're welcome.

And that's how I met the grizzly bear family.

- I thought little grizzly was really cute.

- And his mommy was really fierce

When she wanted to protect little grizzly.

- Yeah, she was super duper fierce.

- Come on, diego.

Show us another fierce animal.

Whoa, did a fierce animal

Put that big dent in the rescue rover?

- Yeah.

- Look at his footprint.

He must have been big.

- Really, really big!

Was it a dinosaur?

- No, but it's one of the biggest, fiercest animals

I ever met.

- Oh, you've got to tell us

About that fierce adventure, diego.

- You've got to watch to see the fierce animal.

I was with my papi,

Driving through the african grasslands.

- Some of the world's biggest and fiercest animals

It's the biggest cat in africa.

That's the biggest land animal in the whole world.

- What animal is that?

Let's look for more animals to take pictures of.

There's another animal.

Say, "click."

Got it.

- That's the biggest animal in the world

That lives in the water and on the land.

- What animal is it?

Right. It's a hippopotamus.

We've got to be really quiet.

We don't want to surprise him.

- When hippos get surprised, they charge.

And the hippo's charge is one of the strongest

And most powerful charges in the world.

Whoa!

Uh-oh.

- What is it, papi?

- We're stuck in quicksand.

[Wheels spinning]

- Papi, I've got an idea.

You said the hippo has a powerful charge.

Maybe he could charge at the rover

And knock it out of the quicksand.

- That's a great idea, diego.

- Hippo, we need you to knock our rover out of the quicksand.

Papi, do you think he'll do it?

- If the hippo stomps his feet, shows his teeth,

And wiggles his ears,

Then that means he's going to charge.

- Is the hippo stomping his feet?

[Thumping noises]

Yeah.

Is he showing his teeth?

Yes.

Is he wiggling his ears?

Yeah!

That means he's going to charge.

- Here he comes!

Both: whoa!

- Thanks, hippo.

- No, problem.

I love to charge.

[Chuckles]

Huh?

- Papi, the hippo needs help.

- He helped us.

Now we can help him.

- Yeah, we're animal rescuers.

- We can pull the hippo out of the quicksand

With rescue rover's crane.

- We have to turn the crank

To pull hippo out of the quicksand.

Put your hands out like this to hold the crank.

Hold the crank.

Now...

Turn it!

Turn! Turn!

Turn!

Whoa!

This hippo is heavy.

Turn harder.

Turn! Turn!

Turn!

Yay!

- Let me help you with this harness.

- Are you okay, hippo?

- I'm okay.

How's your truck?

- Not as bad as it would have been

If you hadn't knocked us out of that quicksand.

- Yeah, I'm a pretty fierce charger

When I get surprised.

Glad I could help you out.

- I'm diego, and this is my papi.

- I'm daddy hippo.

I live in the river with my family.

[Shouting]

Hey, that sounds like my baby.

She must have left the river.

[Shouting]

Uh-oh, she sounds lost.

I better go find her.

- We'll help you find your baby, daddy hippo.

Let's find baby hippo.

- Diego, which way should we go?

- My radio antenna will help us listen for baby hippo.

A hippo sounds like this.

- Honk-honk.

Honk-honk.

- Let's listen for baby hippo.

- Bark! Bark!

- Does that sound like a hippo?

No.

- Bark! Bark!

- What animal is that?

Right. A zebra.

Let's listen for baby hippo.

- Honk-honk!

- Does that sound like a hippo?

Yeah!

- That's my baby.

- And look, those lions are scaring her.

- I can take care of those lions.

Hippos can stomp their feet and look fierce.

- We can help daddy hippo scare the lions away.

Quick, let's act like a hippo to scare away the lions.

Stomp your feet.

Come on. You know how.

Both: stomp, stomp, stomp.

Stomp, stomp, stomp.

- ♪ Stomp your feet like the hippos do ♪

- Now show your teeth.

Come on. Do it now.

[Together] show your teeth.

Now grab your ears and wiggle them this way.

[Together] wiggle your ears.

- Yay! You scared the lions away.

- Daddy!

- Thanks for helping me save my baby.

- Whoa, animals can get really fierce

When they're protecting their babies, huh, diego?

- Yeah.

- Diego, have you met

Any other fierce animals?

- Oh, yeah.

My favorite fierce animal is also my best animal friend.

He's got really sharp teeth.

- Ooh.

- And he's got sharp claws.

- Whoa!

- And he's got spots.

Who's my favorite fierce animal friend?

[Together] baby jaguar!

- Yeah! Me, me, me!

I'm really fierce.

Rawr! Rawr!

[Electronic beeping]

- That's my video watch.

- Diego, there's an animal lost in the town.

- Hiss! Snarl!

- Do you see a fierce animal?

Yeah, that's a jaguar.

- Diego, jaguars live in the rain forest,

Not the town.

He must be lost.

You've got to help him.

- I'm on my way, alicia.

I've got to get to that town.

- I'll help, diego.

Rawr-rawr!

- Come on,amigos!

Let's go rescue the lost jaguar.

Both: go, diego, go!

- My rescue rover can get us to the town fast.

To tell it to go fast, say,"rapido, rover."

- Vroom! Vroom!

- It worked!

Let's growl for big jaguar.

- Hi, I'm diego, and this is baby jaguar.

- I got lost in the town,

And then I stepped on this nail.

It really hurts.

Can you help me?

- Sure.

We'll help you, big jaguar.

I've got my mami's animal first aid kit with me.
