parcel come from?
- A delivery, something
from Hoobnet I think.
- Oh, somebody sent it to us?
- Ah, but who?

to send us a box
of (gasps) spots!
- Spots did you say?
Hey, I've got spots all over
the piece of paper, look!
I had it in my
collection of things
that need joining together.
So, I'm going to do just that.
- Well, these are sticky
black spots, Groove.
I don't think we
join these together.
- So, what do we do
with sticky black spots?
- [Hubba Hubba] Hubba hubba,
hubba hubba, hubba hubba.
- It's Hubba Hubba!

- Well, Auntie Hattie
Hoob sent us the spots.
Does she know what
to do with them?
- (laughs) Of course not,
that's why she sent them to you.
- Then we'd better
find an answer.
Is there anything about spots
on Hoobnet, Hubba Hubba?
- That's just the question
I was asking myself, Tula.
And the answer is, yes!

Now, here we've got lots of
different spotty material.

(Tula awes)
And here's a peep in a black
and white spotty frock.
And there's somebody
making the spotty frock.
Red with white spots and

A spotty sock.
And here's a peep
wrapping something up
in spotty white paper.
- Spotty white paper?
(laughs) Groove?
- (gasps) Did you see that?
- Well, no actually I didn't.
You know, I'm just going
to put this piece of paper
up on my drawing my board.
It's easier than
trying to find a wall.
- Good idea Groove, but
you are going to help us
find the answer?
- (grunts) Yes, as soon as
I've joined up my spots.
- There were so many
things with lovely,
colorful spots all over them.
Let's stick our
spots on something.
- Oh yes!
Ah, how about this?
- What is is?
- Oh that, that's
from my collection
of things that need
brightening up.
- Oh, can we stick
our spots on it?
- Yeah, help yourself,
might brighten it up.
- (gasps) Hoobly-groobly.
- (sighs) That's it,
now I just join them up.
(calm, pleasant music)
- Oh, I'm not sure it looks
any brighter with spots.
- Maybe that's because
the spots are black?
- (hems) You're right.
The ones we saw on Hoobnet
were all sorts of colors.
They brightened
up the peep world.
- But black spots aren't
very bright, are they?
- No, we must be
able to find out
more about spots from somewhere.
- But where?

They look like our

- We're using them to decorate
these cakes and biscuits.

The chocolate spots look just
like our sticky black spots
so I'm sure we're
supposed to use
the sticky black
spots for decorating!

our hooby-buns.

(Iver hems)
- Now, let's try
decorating our hooby-buns
with the sticky black spots.
(pleasant piano music)
These are going to be
the best hooby-buns ever.
(laughs)

(Tula blows raspberry)
- These sticky black
spots are not for eating!
- (spits) That must
mean they're not
for decorating hooby-buns then.
- No, let's use the
chocolate spots instead.
- Oh, yes.

- Groove, you ate them all!
- Did I, all of them?
Oh, I'm sorry Iver.
- (sighs) It doesn't matter.
We know what to do
with chocolate spots.
But we still don't
know what to do
with these sticky black spots.
- [Hubba Hubba] Hubba hubba,
hubba hubba, hubba hubba.
(electronic whirs)
- It's Hubba Hubba.
- Don't despair, Hoobs.
I found a story that might tell
you a bit more about spots.
Spots seems to pop up
all over the peep planet
in all sorts of ways.
Have a look at this.
(electronic whirs)
(chiming music)
- [Narrator] Doris
and Daisy were sisters
and they looked
exactly the same.
They hated looking
exactly the same.
(children grunt)
"I don't want to look
like Daisy" said Doris.
"I don't want to look
like Doris" said Daisy.
(balloon farts)
(slide whistles blows)
One morning, Daisy
woke up to find
that she was covered in spots.
Big, red, itchy spots.
Her mother took her off
to visit the doctor.
"You've got chicken pox, Daisy."
"You must stay in
bed for a few days."
"But I don't like these
spots," wailed Daisy.
"I want to look like Doris."
(child giggles)
"Don't worry," said the doctor.
"Everybody gets chicken
pox at some time."
The days passed
slowly and everyday
Daisy would cry, "I want
to look like Doris!"
Then one morning,
Daisy woke up to find
that her chicken pox
spots had disappeared.
"Doris, Doris, I look like
you again," she cried.
Doris poked her head out
from under the covers.
And guess what?
She was covered in spots.
(Hoobs laugh)
Doris wept and wailed,
"It's not fair."
"I want to look like Daisy."
And Daisy cried, "And I
want to look like Doris."
After a few days, Doris's
spots disappeared.
Doris and Daisy were
both very happy.
"I look just like
you," said Daisy.
"And I look just like
you," said Doris.
And they never complained
about looking the same again.
(children laugh)
(Tula laughs)
(Hoobs sigh)
- (gasps) Maybe you're
supposed to stick
the sticky black
spots all over you
to pretend you've
got the chicken pox?
- Pretend you've
got the chicken pox?
- Why?

- I don't know why, Groove.
And you're not helping
to answer the question.
You're too busy
joining your spots up.
- Well, that's
what spots are for.
- That's what your
sport are for, Groove.
But the question is, what are
our sticky black spots for?
- Well, I don't think
they have anything to do
with chicken pox, chicken pox
spots were red, not black.
- And they were itchy
and our sticky black
spots aren't itchy.
What are we supposed
to do with them?
- [Roma] Roma, roma, roma, roma.
- It's Roma, maybe she'll know.
(electronic whirs)
- Hooble-doop, Roma.
- Hooble-doop, Roma.
- Hooble-doop, Tula, Iver.
Can you see me?
I'm here!
- We see you Roma.
- Good, because I
found some spots
here in the African
bush on this leopard.
As you can see, a leopard
is a big cat with spots.
But let me tell you, it
wasn't easy to find him
because his spots help him hide.
- The leopard's
spots help him hide?
- That's right,
hoobacious, isn't it?
The spots look a
bit like leaves.
That means the leopard
can hide in the bushes
or in the trees,
he just blends in.
- Hooby-galooby, spots
can help you hide.
- And the spots I'm wearing
are helping me hide.
If you think I want
that leopard to spot me
(laughs) you're wrong.
Leopards are dangerous,
but my spots are so good
he has no idea I'm here, watch.
Koo-wee Mr. Leopard,
can't see me.
This is Roma Hoob reporting
from a spotty hiding place.
(leopard roars)
(screams) In the African bush!
(electronic whirs)
(Hoobs giggle)
- (gasps) Hooby-galooby,
maybe we're supposed
to use the sticky black
spots to help us hide
like a leopard does.
- Oh, let's try it.
(giggles)
Groove, you'll have to
see if you can find us.
- Alright, but do you
really think it'll work?
(fun, upbeat music)
(Iver giggles)
- Well, we'll see.
How can we test it out?
- I know, let's play Hoob

♪ The rules have
always been the same ♪
♪ If I say "Hoob be where?" ♪
♪ Then take a good look
in every cranny and nook ♪
♪ And if you see me,

♪ The truth is, you

♪ Yes, I'd say ♪
♪ What about me? ♪
♪ Clear as day ♪
♪ Then I guess we don't know
what these spot are for ♪
♪ I'd thought we'd
had it for sure ♪
♪ This really is a bore ♪
♪ We thought you wouldn't
see us against this wall ♪
♪ But these black
and sticky spots ♪
♪ Haven't hidden a Hoob at all ♪
- (sighs) Well, that
didn't work did it?
- No, spots hid the
leopard, but not us.
- That's because the
Hoobmobile isn't spotty.
If the Hoobmobile were
covered in black spots
then you're sticky black
spots would help you hide.
But it isn't, so they don't.
- You're right, the leopard
spots looked like leaves.
So he could hide in leaves.
- And our black spots
look like black spots.
There aren't enough black spots
to hide in in the Hoobmobile.
- Hubba hubba, hubba
hubba, hubba hubba.
(electronic whirs)
Hooble-doo Poobs,
how are you doing?
- We still don't know
what we're supposed
to use our sticky
black spots for.
- Do you have any more
ideas, Hubba Hubba?
- No, but I know who might.

Now seeing as you Tiddlypeeps

we thought you might be able

It's just, we've got all
these sticky black spots
back in the Hoobmobile
and we don't know
what to do with them.
We tried all sorts of things,
but nothing seems quite right.
So, we thought we'd
come and ask you.
(dog barks)

- (awes) Oh, so he's named Spot!
Hooby-galooby, did
you hear that Iver?
Groove, Mason's got
a dog named Spot.
- Spot, yes.
- Guess what, he's got
black spots all over him.
- They're called Dalmatians
and they have black spots
all over their fur.
- You're dog is

Oh, Iver, Groove, I wish
we had a spotty dog.
That's it, we need to get a dog.

- And today we've been
asking the question.
- What do we do with
sticky black spots?
- Hubba Hubba searched Hoobnet
and showed us how peeps
love to decorate things
with spots to brighten them up.
- [Iver] So we stuck
our spots on something
from Groove's collection of
things that need brightening up
but it didn't look any brighter.
- [Tula] That's because
our spots were black
and you can't brighten
things up with black spots.
- [Groove] Then I had
a Hooby-groovy idea.
I decided to join my spots.
- And I went to visit
the Tiddlypeeps.
The Tiddlypeeps had
chocolate spots.
They looked just like
our sticky black spots.
They used them for
decorating cakes.
They gave me some
chocolate spots
to take back to the Hoobmobile.
- [Groove] But I accidentally
ate them all. (chuckles)
- [Tula] We discovered
that we couldn't use
our sticky black spots
to decorate hooby-buns
because sticky black spots
aren't made for eating.
- [Iver] Then we found out
about spots called chicken pox.
Tiddlypeeps sometimes get
them when they're sick.
We wondered if we were supposed
to use our sticky black spots
to pretend we have chicken pox.
- [Tula] But chicken
pots are red and itchy.
- And who wants to
pretend you're sick?
- [Iver] Then Roma told us
about how a leopard's spots
help him hide in
bushes and trees.
- We thought our spots
would help us hide
but they didn't.
Then, I met a Dalmatian
dog called Spot
and guess what, he was
covered in black spots!
- We needed a dog but we'd
never thought we'd find one
in time for Hoob News.
- [Groove] But then I finished
joining my spots together
and it was a dog!
- We put our sticky
black spots all over it.
- And now we have
a dog called Spot.
- Spot the Dalmatian dog.
♪ Hoob hoob hooray ♪
- Oh, I can't wait to
tell Auntie Hattie.
She's bound to want a
Dalmatian too. (laughs)
