I'm Hubba Hubba, talking

to you from Hoobland,

and I'm about to send

four of my favorite Hoobs

down to Earth to find

out all about you

for my great Hoobopaedia!

Here they come!

(computer whizzing)

♪ Iver, Groove, and

Tula, we're Hoobs ♪

♪ And they're ready to go ♪

- [Iver] Hey

♪ Now the wheels are turning ♪

♪ We can all get learning ♪

♪ All the things

we want to know ♪

- Yay!

♪ Hubba Hubba's in Hoobland ♪

♪ And Roma's

somewhere far away ♪

♪ Ooh, ooh, ooh ♪

♪ The Motorettes are singing ♪

♪ We keep the engine spinning ♪

♪ Hoob, Hoob, hooray ♪

♪ The Hoobmobile is

coming your way ♪

- Oh, here we come!

- Well, hey!

- Oh!

♪ The Hoobs are here

so what do you say ♪

♪ Hoobs ♪

- Ah, now this one's

a bit bruised, so

we'll use it for jam.

- Ah, jam.

Jam, jam, jam, next.

- (sniffs) Hoobofizz.

- Next box, next

box, Tula, please.

- I am doing it, Iver.

(sniffs) Hoobnip tart.

- Hurry up, can't

you, would you?

Oh, this'll do, thank you.

There we go, oh no, no, no!

(box thuds)

Ouch!

- (laughs) You know,

I've had enough

of sorting hoobnips, Tula.

I don't think we've

ever grown so many.

- Why don't we play a

game while we're sorting?

- Yeah, that's a good idea--

- Box!

Box, box!

(grunts) Thank you.

Oh, heavier.

- (laughs) Yeah.

- Oh, whoa, whoa, ah.

I'm fine.

- Okay.

- [Iver] Oh, no!

(box thumping)

Not again.

- I know know, we can

play hooby go slow.

- Oh, yes, I love hooby go slow.

(giggles) Hoobnip tart.

(slowly mumbling)

- Right, come on, come on, come.

Groove, you've hardly

sorted a single hoobnip

while I've been gone.

- That's because we're

playing hobby go slow.

- We don't have time for games.

There are all these

hoobnips to sort

then we've got to clear up.

Then there's Hoob News to do.

- Go on, Iver, you play.

(inhales) Hoobnip tart.

- No, I can't, really, I can't.

- (humming) Go on, just try.

- Oh, okay, Groove, I'll try to.

Oh, no, I can't, I can't.

Just give me a box,

that box there.

- Okay.

- Not that box, the

hoobnip tart box.

Oh, you're too slow.

Groove, come here, come here.

That's it, just give me the box.

I don't believe it.

Now they're all bruised.

Well, all these will have

to go in a jam box now.

Oh, hooby bother.

- [Groove And Tula] Slow down.

- I can't.

- Now, let me see, hmm.

- You're telling me.

How can we slow Iver down?

- [Computer] Hubba Hubba,

Hubba Hubba, Hubba Hubba.

- How can we slow Iver down?

That's a Hoobledoobledooper

question, Tula.

- But I don't wan to slow

down, thank you, Hubba Hubba.

I'm too busy.

- Oh, but you've

got to try, Iver.

It's the only way of answering

the question for Hoob News,

and you've never

let me down yet.

- You're right, Hubba Hubba.

For the sake of Hoob News.

- That's the spirit.

Yes, I'll email Roma,

but first, let me see if I

have anything about going slow.

Ah.

- Huh?

- Here's a story.

- On Hoobnet, yes, yes, we know.

Thank you, Hubba Hubba.

(computer whizzing)

(cheerful music)

- [Narrator] Harold the

Hare was always showing off

to Tommy the Tortoise.

"I can hop much

higher than you."

Poor Tommy couldn't hop at all.

"I can burrow much

deeper than you."

Poor Tommy couldn't

burrow at all.

"I can run much

faster than you."

(upbeat music)

Poor Tommy couldn't run at all.

One night, Wise Owl

flew down from his tree

and tapped on Tommy's

shell with his beak.

"If you want to teach

that hare a lesson,

"I suggest you have

a race with him."

"But I'd never win a race

against Harold the Hare.

"I'm too slow."

"Sometimes slow is best."

So the race was on.

Harold set off on his springy

legs and whizzed far ahead.

Tommy plodded after him.

Harold sh*t round a corner

and started to laugh.

(Harold laughing)

"I can sit here in the

nice warm sun for awhile

"and I'll still win the race."

Meanwhile, Tommy plodded on.

He was so busy plodding

that he didn't notice Harold

fast asleep in the long grass,

and Harold was so busy sleeping

that he didn't notice

Tommy plodding by.

At the moment Tommy was about

to cross the finish line,

Harold woke up,

and even though

Harold ran faster

than he had ever

run in his life,

(Harold squealing)

and even though the Tortoise

is one of the slowest

animals in the world,

Tommy crossed the line first.

"See, sometimes slow is best."

- [Iver] What?

(Tula laughing)

- Aha, the slow tortoise won.

So what does that mean, Iver?

- Well, oh, I don't know.

I've got things to do.

- It means you might

get even more done

if you did things more slowly.

- If you rode a tortoise,

then you'd have to slow down.

- Oh, don't be daft,

Groove, that's a silly idea.

- No, it's not.

After all, Peeps ride horses

if they want to go fast,

so why can't Hoobs

ride tortoises if

they want to go slow?

- Yeah, and while you're riding,

you could be thinking,

planning, writing things down.

- And we'd have the

answer to our question!

- Now you're talking.

All right then, I'm

going to order a tortoise

from Hoobnet right now.

(button boings)

- [Computer] Hubba Hubba,

Hubba Hubba, Hubba Hubba.

- [Iver] Ah, Hubba Hubba,

I need a tortoise fast.

- Fast?

- I'm going to ride a

tortoise round the Hoobmobile.

- (laughs) Iver, I can't

wait to see you do that.

Let me see.

Oh, oh dear.

- [Iver] Yes?

- I'm afraid you can't

order a tortoise, Iver.

- Why?

♪ Why, why, why ♪

♪ Why ♪

(tuba blaring)

- Because a tortoise wouldn't

be happy, that's why.

It says here that a

tortoise lives in the wild

and must stay there.

- See, I told you

it was a silly idea.

I must get on.

- We'll have to think of some

other way to slow Iver down.

- Yeah.

- Well, I've just found

something on Hoobnet

that might help, Tula.

Iver?

- Huh?

- Stop for a second and

take a look at this.

- Well, okay, but

I haven't got long.

I've got to get all the

hoobnips stored away.

(computer whizzing)

- [Hubba Hubba] This

animal you see here, Hoobs,

lives in the jungles

on the Peep Planet

and it's called a sloth.

- Oh.

- Sloth.

- [Hubba Hubba] He

spends most of his time

hanging upside down.

Hey, he looks very

happy, doesn't he?

It's probably because he likes

to take things very slowly.

Doesn't like to rush at all.

- Oh, Iver, this is

going to be such fun.

- What is?

- Well, you pretending

to be a sloth.

- Oh, no, no, forget it.

You think if I pretended to

be a sloth I'd go slowly?

- Well, I think you

should test it out.

- It can't be waiting

till Hoob News can it?

- Oh all right, for

the sake of Hoob News.

Here I am.

I'm Iver the sloth.

Oh, dear.

There.

- Ahem, slower, Iver.

You're a sloth, remember?

- Ha!

(upbeat music)

(Iver laughing)

(Iver grunts)

(box thuds)

I can't do it. I'm not

a sloth, I'm a Hoob.

- Oh, I know why

it's not working.

Sloths do things

upside down, remember?

- Upside down?

Are you out of your hooby head?

How could I possibly

carry hoobnips around

while I'm hanging

upside down?

- Hubba Hubba, Hubba Hubba.

(computer whizzing)

- I don't know how, Iver,

but I'm rather enjoying

being a sloth (laughs).

How about a visit--

- To the Tiddlypeeps.

- Of course, the Tiddlypeeps.

- Yeah, I'll go see

the Tiddlypeeps, Iver,

and you can drive.

- Oh, yes, yes, as

quickly as we can.

(Iver laughing)

- Uh, no, no, no.

Wait, wait, wait, wait.

Iver, Iver, Iver, stop.

- Huh?

- As slowly as we can.

- Oh (laughing).

(Tula and Groove sighing)

(twinkling music)

(upbeat music)

♪ On the road we go ♪

- Hoobledoop, Tiddlypeeps.

- [Boys] Hoobledoop, Groove.

- Do you want to

do a hooby hello?

- [Together] Yes, hoobledoop,

hoobledoop, whoo, whoo, whoo.

- What we're you

two doing there?

It looked really strange.

- We were practicing

for a three-legged race.

- So why is it called

a three=legged race,

you haven't got

three legs (laughs)?

Have you?

- No, Groove, in a

three-legged race,

you tie one of your legs

to someone else's, see.

- [Groove] And does that

make you run faster?

- You can go quite

fast when you practice,

but at first, you

go much more slowly.

- We're trying to

slow Iver down.

Maybe this'll do it?

I'm gonna get back

to the Hoobmobile

and tie Iver to

something right now.

Hoobletoodledoo!

- [Boys] Hoobletoodledoo!

(cheerful music)

- Oh, come on.

It'll be hoobelly

groobelly, Iver.

- (laughs) No it won't.

- (gasps) Look!

I have got just the thing

from my hooby bits box.

- Now then, who

shall we tie Iver to?

- To you, Groove!

- (gasps) To me?

- Yes, to you.

- (laughs) Hoobygroovy.

I can't wait to be

tied to you, Iver.

- Yes.

- I'm going to tie

your arms together.

- Huh, why our arms?

- Well, if you want

to run more slowly,

then you tie legs together.

But if you want to carry

things more slowly,

then you tie arms

together, come here.

- The things I do for Hoob News.

- There.

Now, try shifting a box.

- Oh, right then.

- Oh, that's an easy thing--

- Come on, Iver.

- (laughs) Right.

Turn it round,

you'll have to help.

- I'm trying to help.

- Don't drop it.

- There we are, have you got it?

- I have it, very well.

Ha ha!

(Groove chuckles)

- Good, nice and slow.

- Yeah.

- Of course.

(Grooves tummy growling)

- Huh?

Ah, Groove, Groove,

what are you doing?

- Oh, oh, I'm sorry, Iver.

It's just that my

tummy is rumbling

and when I hear it I just have

to answer the call (laughs).

Do you want anything?

- Yes, I want to store

away the hoobnips

as quickly as

possible, by myself!

Oh, right, that's it.

That is it.

- (sighs) Hooby bun.

- [Computer] Roma, Roma, Roma.

- It's Roma.

I do hope she's found something.

- Hoobledoop, Hoobs.

- [Together] Hoobledoop, Roma.

- Now, I think I may have

found a hoobacious way

to slow Iver down.

- Really, Roma, what is it?

Ooh!

- Ooh indeed, Tula.

Fantabihooby, eh?

- That is hoobygroovy.

- Yes, it is, Groove,

and now I'm going to have a go.

- (scoffs) I don't see how

this is going to slow me down.

- Oh, yes it will, Iver

because when you balance

something like this,

you have to move very

slowly to make sure

it doesn't fall off.

- Doesn't it give

you a headache?

- Oh, no, not if

you do it properly.

- That's what you need, Iver.

- [Iver] Hmm.

- Oh, yes, if I rushed

around in a tizzy,

this bundle would

fall off right away.

This is a very slow,

steady Roma Hoob,

reporting for Hoob News.

Hobbletoodledoo.

- [Together] Hoobletoodledoo!

(Iver chuckles)

- Come on, Iver.

- Oh, no, no, no, no.

No, no, no, no, no, I

am not walking around

with a box of

hoobnips on my head.

- It's nearly time

for Hoob News.

- Huh?

Oh, all right,

Groove, all right.

- Wow, very fetching (chuckles).

- There you are.

- All right, okay.

- Slowly.

Slowly.

- Yes, yes.

- Okay.

- Ha ha!

- Oh!

- Okay, here I go.

- [Tula] Whoo!

- There we go (chuckles).

Whee, ha, oh, yes, yes,

yes, quite easy (chuckles).

Oh no, oh yes.

Oh no, oh yes (chuckles)

Just through here.

Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.

It's fine.

- Now make your way slowly

to the clutter cupboard.

- I am, ha.

Ah, aha.

- (laughs) It's gonna take

him all day at this rate.

- All day?

But I don't have all day!

Oh, ah, there, made it.

Oh no!

(box thuds)

Oh, it's no good.

I haven't got time to practice.

I just can't do it.

I can't be slow.

- [Computer] Hubba hubba,

Hubba Hubba, Hubba Hubba.

- I know what, Hoobs.

Take another trip

to the Tiddlypeeps.

- Oh, that's a hoobygroovy

idea, Hubba Hubba.

- Yes, I'll go this time.

(laughs) If the Tiddlypeeps

can't help me to slow down,

then no one can.

Come on.

- Oh, I'll drive.

(twinkling music)

- Oh, right.

So you have to sneak up on

the Tiddlypeep at the front

without them catching you?

- That's right, do

you want to play?

- Oh, could I?

Oh, thanks, Tiddlypeeps.

Here goes.

- [Children] Okay.

(whimsical music)

- Iver, I see you.

- Oh.

- Oh.

- Try again.

- Oh, what did I do wrong?

- You were moving too fast.

- That's been my

problem all day.

- [Groove] I'll say.

- I've been trying

to move slowly,

but I just can't seem to do it.

- Have you tried

thinking slowly?

- Yes, you can't move slowly

unless you think slow.

- Think slow?

No, I haven't been doing that.

Oh, maybe that's what I've

been doing wrong all day.

I've been trying to move slowly,

but I've been thinking

about all the things

I have to get done,

and Hoobs news,

and oh, before you

know it, I'm rushing.

- Well, let's try to

play the game again.

- Yes, just do what we do.

- (whispering) This

time, just think slow.

(whimsical music)

- [Tula] Come on, Iver.

- [Iver] Slow.

- (whispering) First think

slow, then move slow.

- [Iver] Yes.

Ha, ha, ha, gotcha, I gotcha.

(children cheering)

I did it, I did it.

Oh, no, no, no, slow.

I did it.

- Yes, Iver, now you're

really good at thinking slow.

- Yes, I suppose I am, aren't I?

(laughs) Thank you

so much, Tiddlypeeps.

Hoobletoodledoo!

- [Children] Hoobletoodledoo!

(cheerful music)

- Well, Groove, do

you think it's worked?

- We'll soon find out.

- Watch this, I am

going to think slow,

and not let any fast ideas

spin around in my head.

(Iver chuckles)

There.

- Yeah.

- Easy.

I knew I could do it.

No nonsense (chuckles).

- He's doing it.

- Yeah.

- Yeah.

(Iver sighs)

- How hoobaciously

slow was that?

- Oh, Iver, well done.

(gasps) You didn't

drop a single hoobnip.

- Yeah.

- And I feel really calm.

- Well, there you are then.

- Do you know what?

- [Groove] What?

- It is time for Hoob News.

♪ I used to go fast ♪

- [Iver, Tula, And Groove]

We're ready, Hubba Hubba.

- Then off you go.

(upbeat music)

- Hoobledoop whoo to all

of you Hoobs out there.

Welcome to Hoob News,

the news show for

Hoobs everywhere.

I'm Iver.

- I'm Tula.

- And I'm Groove.

- And today, we've been

asking the question--

- How can we slow Iver down?

- [Iver] First of all,

we tried to order a

tortoise for me to ride,

but that wasn't allowed.

- [Groove] Then we found out

that sloths move really slowly.

- [Tula] So we got Iver

to pretend to be a sloth.

- [Iver] But there was no

way I could shift boxes

while hanging upside down.

- [Tula] The Tiddlypeeps

showed Groove a game

called a three-legged race,

which can really slow you down.

- [Groove] So Iver

was tied to me,

but Iver and I didn't want to

move in the same direction.

- [Tula] Roma told us how

some people can carry things

on their heads and

then move slowly.

- [Groove] But Iver

couldn't do it.

No matter how hard he tried.

- Then the Tiddlypeeps told me

that you have to think slow

before you can move slowly,

and now I'm the slowest,

calmest Hoob in the universe.

- (laughs) I'm not

sure about that, Iver,

but you've come a long way fast.

Oh, I mean slowly.

Oh, anyway, well done.

- Oh, yes, well done, Iver.

- Yes, well done, Iver.

- So it's thanks once again

to Iver, Tula, Groove, and Roma

for giving Hoobs

everywhere a little peep

into the world of Peeps.
