Yadina: Hello, and
welcome to the show.

Today we're meeting
someone amazing:

George Washington.

Yadina: The very first president
of the United States!

Xavier: He was a great leader.

That's a person who
others listen to

and like to follow.

Yadina: I want to
be a great president

and leader some day, too.

Xavier: Whoa!
Brad: Ahhhh!

Yadina: Like the presidents
who have their faces here,

on Mount Rushmore.

There's George Washington.

But, something's missing...

Yadina: That's better.
Now, let's start the show!

Brad: Ah! A Nature Exhibit hike.

It's perfect!

All the hike, with none of the
real nature I'm allergic to!

Yadina: And even more perfect:

I get to be the leader.

With a whistle!

(deep breath)
(whistle)

Xavier: You're going
to do great, Yadina.

Even if you haven't ever
been a leader before.

Yadina: Yeah! Oh, yeah...

I haven't ever been
a leader before...

And now I'm going to lead
our whole troop on a hike...

Uh oh. What do I do?

You just need a little practice!

Brad: You can practice
on us if you want.

Yadina: Great!

(whistle blow)

Both: Aaaagh!

Yadina: Line up behind me
and look straight ahead.

We'll march to Dr.
Zoom's favorite song.

♪ The turtles came
strolling very slowly ♪

♪ hurr-ah, hurr-ah... ♪

All: ♪ The turtles came
strolling very slowly ♪

♪ Hurrah! Hurrah! ♪

Brad: ♪ The turtles came
walking very slowly... ♪

Yadina: (whistle blow)

Strolling.

Brad: Right, sorry!

(m*llitary drumming)

Kids: ♪ The turtles came
strolling very slowly, ♪

♪ Hurrah! Hurrah! ♪

Xavier: Woah! Uff!
Yadina: Ahh!

(squeek)

Xavier: Sorry!

Yadina: (deep breath)
Xavier: I couldn't-

(beeep!)

Yadina: Both of you-
back of the line!

Brad: But we're the
only ones in the line.

Yadina: (deep breath)
Xavier: Yadina?

You may be going a bit
overboard with the yelling.

And the whistle blowing.

Yadina: I am?
Brad: Yeah. Mm hm.

Sorta, you know,
take it down a notch.

Yadina: But, I thought
that's what a leader does.

(sigh)

I guess I don't know
how to be a good leader.

Xavier: Don't worry.

I know just where
to go to find out...

To the secret museum!
Yadina: Yeah!

(exciting music)


Xavier: I wonder
who the Secret Museum

will send us to meet?

Yadina: And where we'll go.

Brad: And wheeeen!

Yadina: Look out below.
Xavier: Woo-hoo!

Xavier: Hi, Berby!
Yadina: Hi, Berby!

Brad: Hi, Berby!
Berby: Hi, Brad.

Brad: Oof!

Berby: Woo!
Xavier: (humming)

Xavier: We're getting something!

Yadina: What is it?

Brad: I think it's a hat.

Xavier: I wonder
who it belonged to.

Yadina: (gasps)
George Washington?

That's who we're meeting?

He was the first president
of the United States!

This is a big one.

Xavier: And look -

that's where we're
going to meet him!

In the state of Virginia.

Brad: Back in ...

Over years ago!

Yadina: I really
hope he can teach

me to be a great
leader like he was.

Xavier: Only one
way to find out...

Xavier: Ready for adventure?

Yadina: Presidentially
ready...

Brad: Mm...kinda ready.

Berby: Woohoo!

Yippie!
Yadina: Here we go!

Brad: It's happening!
Yadina: Hang on, Dr. Zoom.

Xavier: Woo-hoo!
Brad: Woaah!

Xavier: So this is
Virginia in .

Yadina: I like it. It's woodsy.

Brad: Time travel. Dizzy.

Uh-oh.

Hey, look!

Yadina: Wow. It's him!

George Washington.

Wow.

Yadina: Mr. Presi--
err I mean Washington.

Or George? Can I
call you George?!

Washington: Ah, sure...

Yadina: It is so
nice to meet you.

I want to be a great
leader, just like you!

So, can you teach me?

Washington: Well, I don't know
much about being a leader.

I'm learning from my brother!

He's a great leader who
takes care of his team.

Xavier: Sounds like a cool guy.

Washington: He is.
He's very polite, helpful,

and he always cheers people on.

I'm going to meet
him at a fishing hole

if you want to come.

Yadina: We'd love to!

Washington: Excellent!
I'll lead you there.

Yadina: You'll lead us? Perfect!

Want my whistle?

(blow)

Washington: No thanks.

If we head down this path,

we should be there
by snack time, I think.

Brad: (gasps)
Through the woods?

But, there could be bugs.

Or bats.

Or blueberries!

Those can really stain.

Washington: Since you're
good at pointing out danger,

you can be our lookout.

Brad: Happy to put
my skills to use!

Washington: Hm. You
seem to be good at

packing things in your pockets.

Xavier: Sure am! Need a camera?

Gum?

Adorable time travel guide?

(burr)

Xavier: (gasps) (burr)

Washington: Um, no, thank you.

But we will need
this fishing gear.

Can you please be
in charge of it?

Xavier: No problemo!

(gasps)
Worms!

Yadina: George is so polite!

Washington: Yadina,
you have a loud voice

and a louder whistle,

so you should be up front
guiding us with the map.

Yadina: Wow! I'd love to.

(deep breath)
(whistle)

Brad: (gasps)

Washington: We're here,
and we need to go there.

Yadina: Got it.

Wait, but you're the leader-
shouldn't you be up front?

Washington: I like being
at the back where

I can watch over everyone.

Yadina: You're the boss!

Yadina: (humming)

Washington: How is
everyone doing?

Yadina: Great!

Xavier: Me and the
worms are all good.

Brad: I'm good.

(gasps)
Oh no.

T-T# TIGER!

Brad: Or a pile
of rocks. Heh.

Yadina: Don't worry, George-
I'll give Brad the whistle.

(deep breath)

Washington: No whistle
needed, Yadina.

And Brad--there aren't
any tigers around here,

but there are other
dangers to look out for.

Like poison ivy.

Brad: Right.
Poison ivy- yes.

Tigers- no.

Washington: But good
work telling us when

you thought there was danger!

Yadina: I think we're half
way to the fishing hole!

(humming)

Xavier: Hear that
lil' worms? Half way!

Xavier: Whoaaaa nooooo!

Xavier: Oof!

Oh, no.

Yadina: The whistle
won't help... will it?

Washington: No.

But, picking up the
worms with Xavier will.

Xavier: Thanks, guys.

Washington: Of course!

By the way, nice job catching
the bucket and worms.

Xavier: I have, uh, dabbled
in juggling before...

Yadina: Oh, Dr. Zoom.

George is very polite, helpful,

and always cheers us on.

But, when will he show me
how to be a great leader?

Yadina: (sigh)

Okay, we need to go... that way!

(humming)

Yadina: Yay! We're here!

Xavier: Um, back
where we started?

Yadina: What? How did--

where--what happened?

Washington: Oops-you
had the map upside down.

Yadina: What? Oh no!

Washington: Don't worry,
Yadina, it's okay.

Yadina: No, I've failed
you, George Washington!

(sigh)
I'll hand in my map.

And my whistle.

Washington: But it
was just a mistake.

And partly my fault. I'm sorry.

Yadina: You re sorry?

Washington: Yes.
See this symbol?

When it's at the top, the
map is the right side up.

I should have shown you before.

Yadina: Thanks, but...
you're the leader,

shouldn't we be helping you?

Washington: No!
Everyone has a job.

Mine is to take care of my team.

Now, let's go!

We can still get to the
fishing hole by lunchtime.

Yadina: But, what
if I mess up again?

Washington: You can
do this, Yadina.

I believe in you!

All of you!

(upbeat hiking music)




Yadina: There's
the fishing hole!

Washington: Hi, Lawrence!

Lawrence: George, you made it!

Have any trouble along the way?

Washington: Not really.
I had a great team.

Brad: And he was a great leader.

Yadina: He was going to show me
how to be a great leader, too,

but instead of giving us
orders, he asked politely,

helped us and cheered us on--

Lawrence: That's what
a great leader does.

Takes care of his or her team.

Yadina: Of course!

Yadina: Thanks for
showing me

how to be a great
leader, George.

(laughs)
I called him George!

Yadina: Bye!
Xavier: Bye, Mr Washington.

Brad: See you later!
Mr. Washington: Goodbye.

Yadina: Berby? Let's go home.

Berby: (buzzing)

Woo hoo!

Yadina: I'm ready to be a good
leader and take care of my team.

I'll be polite, helpful,
and cheer them on!

Ready troop?

Kids: Yes!

Then please follow... Brad!

(upbeat marching music)

♪♪

Brad: Hey, look!

Xavier: Whoa!
Brad: It's Mt. Rushmore!

Well, a mini one.

Yadina: We made it!
Great job, team.

Xavier: You were a
great leader, Yadina.

Yadina: Thanks, Xavier.

Maybe my face will be on

Mount Rushmore some day, too...

(humming)

Yadina: Wasn't George
Washington amazing?!

Xavier: He became one of the
greatest leaders of all time.

Brad: You can see his face on

the American quarter

and dollar bill!

Yadina: Thanks for joining
our awesome adventure

to meet George Washington.

Xavier: Who used to be a
kid, just like you and me.

Brad: So kids like you
can change the world!

I am Brad.

Xavier: I am Xavier.

Yadina: I am Yadina.

And I will always be a leader
who takes care of her team.

Just like George Washington!

Berby: Whoohoo!

(deep breathing)

(ding!)

Berby: Yay!

Xavier: Berby? You
ready for another

race around the world?
Berby: (bleep)

Xavier: Good! Cause
I'm about to fly

in the very first airplane!

Berby: (hooray)
Xavier: Amazing fact:

This puppy was built
by the Wright Brothers

way back in .

It may be over
years old but,

I'm still going to fly right
past you to the finish line.

Berby: (bleeping)

Xavier: Oh, I'm
ready! Real ready.

(Ding! Ding! Ding!
Ding ding!)

Berby: Whooo!
Xavier: Woohoo!

I'm flying!

Eck! Pttuie!

And that's why planes
today have windshields.

(gasps)

Another amazing fact
I totally forgot.

That first airplane ride

only lasted seconds.

(struggling)

Berby: (giggling)

(deep breathing)

(phew!)

Let's update the scoreboard.
(ding!)

Huh. Guess I'm a smidge behind.

But, I'll get you
next time Berby.

Because I never give up.
Berby: (beeping noises)

Brad: Hello! And
welcome to the show.

Today we're going to
meet an amazing person:

Susan B. Anthony.

Yadina: She worked
really hard

to make sure everyone

got to have a vote.

Xavier: Voting is fair way

for people to make a choice.

Like, what should
we have for lunch:

pizza or spaghetti?

Yadina: Oooh, I vote for pizza!

Kids: Wow!

Brad: I vote spaghetti.

Kids: Whoa! Wow! Neat!

Yadina: That's one
vote for pizza,

one for spaghetti.

What's your vote, Xavier?

Xavier: Ah...Pizza!
No wait. Spaghetti!

Oh, but pizza's so awesome...

and so is spaghetti.

Hm... pizza sauce
or spaghetti sauce?

Goopy cheese or slurpy noodles?

Uhhhhhh...

Yadina: This could be awhile.

Brad: I vote we start the show.

Berby: Mm, yippie!

Xavier: Mmm! We can put
Julia Child's spoon here-

Yadina: And George
Washington's hat here.

(laughing)
Sorry, Dr. Zoom.

Brad: Oooh, I think we should
put Cleopatra's coin right...

Xavier: I know where
this should go.

Berby: (computing noises)

There!

Brad: I was going to
say a different spot.

Yadina: Don't worry, Brad.

We've done this a lot.

First I choose where an artifact
goes, then Xavier chooses.

Then me. Then him.
Then me again...

Brad: But, what about me?

Xavier: (gasps)
Hey, look at this spot!

Xavier/Yadina: Woah!

Yadina: Something
amazing should go there.

Brad: Um, I thought
maybe the coin could-

Xavier: Whose turn
is it to choose?

Yadina: Mine or yours?

Brad: I have an idea.

Maybe everyone could vote
on what to put there.

Xavier: Totally!
Great idea, Brad.

Xavier: Yadina and I will both
vote on what to put there.

Yadina: Yes! Now what
will I vote for?

Xavier: We're getting something.

A new artifact?

That only happens when we
have a problem to solve.

Yadina: But we don't
have a problem.

Do we?

Brad: Problem? Um, nooooo...

But, maybe we should
check it out anyway?

Xavier: Okay. Let's go!

Xavier: (humming)
Berby: (wooo!)

Yadina: What is it?
Xavier: A shawl.

It's like a sweater.

Yadina: Does the Secret
Museum think we're chilly?

Xavier: Then it must have
someone it wants us to meet.

Brad: Yes! Susan B. Anthony.

Berby: (Ooo!)

Yadina: And we're
meeting her in New York.

Brad: In the year .

Almost years ago!

Xavier: But why does
the Secret Museum

want us to meet
Susan B. Anthony?

Yadina: Maybe she's
good at deciding

what to put on shelves?

Xavier: Oh, that must be it!

She's probably a
shelf-placing expert.

Xavier: Only one way to
find out for sure...

Ready for adventure?

Brad: Ready!

Yadina: Ready!

Berby: (computing noises)

Yadina: Here we go!

Brad: It's happening.
Yadina: Hang on, Dr. Zoom.

Xavier: Woo-hoo!
Brad: Wooah!

Yadina: So this is Battenville,

New York. I like it.

Xavier: It's nice and peaceful.

(sheep baaa)
Brad: (gasps)

What was that?

(sheep baaing)

Xavier/Yadina/Brad: Awwwwwwww.

Guelma: We know.
She's a cutie, huh?

Yadina: Sooooooo cute!

Daniel: She's a baby.
She was just born!

Guelma: You can pet
her if you like.

Xavier: Hi there, little baby.

Yadina: (giggles)
Dr Zoom likes you, too.

Brad: What's her name?

Daniel: Either
"Bea" or "Gertie".

My sisters and I get to choose!

Isn't that great?!

Guelma: Actually,
since I'm the oldest,

I think I should
decide the name.

Daniel: But I'll be
looking after her, too.

Why can't I help name her?

Brad: Yeah, he should
have a say, too... right?

Susan: That's right.

Everyone should have a vote.

Xavier: Hey, isn't that-?

(baaing)

Brad: Susan B. Anthony!

Susan: It's silly
for just one of us

to decide what to name her.

And since we're all siblings,

and we all look after the goat,

let's have a vote.

Daniel: Yes! But,
what is a vote?

Susan: Voting is a fair way
for people to make a choice.

Like the choice
between Bea or Gertie.

We can each choose
the name we like best-

that will be our vote.

The name with the
most votes wins!

Daniel: I like that.

Brad: Sounds fair to me.

Brad: Ahhh- hey,
(laughing)

Daniel: So, can we all vote now?

I don't like being left out.

Guelma: I'm sorry.

I didn't mean to
make you feel bad.

Susan's right- everyone
should have a vote.

Let's do it!
Daniel: All right!

Yadina: Okay, who votes
for the name Bea?

Xavier: That's one vote for Bea.

And who votes to
name the goat Gertie?

Daniel: Hey- we agree!

Yadina: Two votes for Gertie.

So Bea got one,
Gertie got two...

That means Gertie wins!

Brad: So, it's final!
Her name is Gertie!

Brad: Whoa! Eeeh! Ugh!

Down, Gertie! Down!

Brad: You are kinda
cute, Gertie.

(baaaa)
Xavier: Sorry, Susan-

I know Gertie wasn't
the name you wanted.

Susan: That's okay.

What's important is
that I had a vote.

Yadina: When you don't,
you feel left out.

Like your brother did.

Brad: And like me at
the Secret Museum...

Yadina: Letting everyone vote
is the only fair thing to do.

Xavier: Totally. But we
still don't know why

the Secret Museum sent us here.

Yadina: Yeah, it doesn't
seem like Susan

is a shelf-placing expert.

They don't have any shelves!

Brad: Maybe we'll find out.

Berby: (beeping noises)

Yadina: Where are we?
When are we?

(bell ringing)

Daniel: It's voting day!

Xavier: Ooooh, what are
you voting for this time?

The name for a baby pig?

Baby cow? Hippo?

Is it a baby hippo?!

Brad: Baby hippos are
big, aren't they?

Susan: They're voting
on what to do

with this big empty space.

Daniel: Some people, like me,

want to build a clock tower.

Daniel: I love hearing
its BONG-BONG-BONG.

Brad: That is pretty awesome.

Susan: But others like me

want a space for kids

to run and play instead.

Yadina: Pretty!

So that's what you're
voting for, Susan?

Susan: (sigh)
No.

Brad: But, why not?

Susan: Because women
aren't allowed to vote.

Yadina: Excuse me, what?!

Xavier: Not so amazing fact:

in , only men could vote.

Yadina: What-- but--
but-- how-- why?

Brad: That's awful.
Susan: I know!

What they build here affects
everyone, not just men.

Yadina: It's so unfair!

Only letting men vote
is as silly as...

only letting people
with short hair,

glasses and capes vote!

Brad: Or, um...

not letting people with short
hair, glasses and capes vote?

Xavier: Exactly.

Susan: I agree! In fact,

I was just about to tell
everyone that very thing.

Loudly.

Susan: Should only people with
purple shoes have a vote?

Crowd: No!

Susan: Should only people
with hats have a vote?

Crowd: No!

Susan: What about only
letting men have a vote?

Crowd: No!

Susan: That's right. Because
everyone should have a vote!

Susan/Crowd: Everyone
should have a vote!

Xavier: Susan was
right: this IS loud!

Brad: She's right about
something else, too.

Everyone should have a vote.

Xavier/Yadina: Everyone

or name a goat!

Xavier/Yadina: Everyone

Brad: Um.

Brad: Ahem.

about what to put
on a special shelf

in the secret museum...

So I can... um, see 'em.

Okay, it's hard to
rhyme with museum.

Xavier: Special shelf?
Yadina: Secret Museum?

Brad: I guess I didn't
have to yell, huh?

Xavier: Actually,
you kind of did.

Because we totally
didn't get it before.

But, we do now.

Yadina: We didn't let you
vote on what should go

on the special shelf.

Brad: You do get it!

Xavier: Everyone
should have a vote!

Yadina: Bye, Susan.

Xavier/Yadina: Everyone
should have a vote!

Everyone should have a vote!

Brad: Let's go home.

Xavier: We're sorry, Brad.

Yadina: Yeah, we were
really unfair to you.

Brad: I did feel a little left
out when I didn't have a vote.

Xavier: We didn't mean
to leave you out.

Yadina: We're just
used to looking after

the Secret Museum ourselves.

Xavier: But you're as much a
member of the Secret Museum

as we are, so of course
you should have a vote.

Brad: Thanks.

Yadina: So, let's vote!

What should go on
the special shelf?

Brad: I vote for

Susan B. Anthony's red shawl!

Yadina: I vote for
the shawl, too.

Xavier: Me, three.

Kids: Mmm! Yum yum yum!

Brad: Good vote,
Xavier. Pizza is tasty.

Xavier: Um hmm.

Everyone having a
vote is important-

it's something Susan B. Anthony
worked really hard for.

Yadina: Susan B. Anthony
won her fight.

And today everyone,
men and women can vote.

She was a total hero.

Brad: Thanks for joining
our awesome adventure

Xavier: Who used to be a kid,

just like you and me.

Yadina: So kids like you
