[Narrator] The babies are enjoying their snacks today.

Broccoli’s my favorite.

Teeny tiny trees.

Applesauce is my favorite.

Yum, yum.

Tilly’s favorite is peas.

Does Tilly know what my favorite is?

Noodles.

Yes, yes! Noodles!

-Uh... birthday cake? -Yeah.

Tilly wants cake.

Right now.

[laughs] Oh, well, Tilly,

it’s not your birthday today, so,

um... we don’t have a cake.

[plays sad tune on kazoo]

Tilly looks really sad.

Well, it’s not her birthday,

but maybe we can have a different special day for Tilly.

Yeah, like, um... Happy Tortoise Day.

-Good idea. -Yeah.

Oh, and we can make her a special cake.

-Yeah. -Make sure Tilly doesn’t find out

or it’ll ruin the surprise.

-Yeah. I’m on it. -Aye, aye, Bail-Bail.

-Ooh, this is gonna be so fun. -Yeah.

I can’t wait to make her a cake.

Ah, ah, ah.

[Both] Cookitybot!

There he is.

Cookity, we want to make a special cake for Tilly.

[makes robotic noises]

That’s perfect!

Uh... what ingredients do we need?

[Franny] Cake mix, butter,

and milk.

Ooh, let’s start cooking.

Yeah, let’s do it!

-Oh, sorry. -Excuse me, pardon me...

So far, so good.

Tilly has no idea about our surprise.

[Lulu] Yeah!

-[Both] Oh, no. -She’s heading to the kitchen.

-Yeah, we gotta stop her. -Tilly! Tilly!

Let’s play over here.

Uh, yeah. There are so many toys.

-Uh... want to play with blocks? -Oh, yeah.

Or wear funny glasses? [laughs]

Or... uh... honk a horn?

[Kip] Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep!

Uh... Tilly, Tilly, play with Raffe.

Aah!

It’s my special toy.

Okay, that’s the cake mix. What’s next?

Time for the milk.

Oh, um, what’s wrong, Cookitybot?

[chuckles] Maybe the butter goes in next.

-Oh, yeah. -Here you go, Cookity.

Oh!

I think Cookity’s trying to tell us something.

Oh, I have more milk than the recipe has.

Huh. And the butter in the recipe looks shorter.

Huh. Well, I wonder how much butter and milk we’re supposed to put in.

That’s a "how much" question.

[both gasp in excitement]

[Both] Math Molly!

[trumpeting]

Oh, wait, wait, wait.

We have to be quiet, Math Molly.

We’re making a special cake for Tilly.

-It’s a surprise. -Yeah.

Shh.

[Bailey giggles]

Ooh! Aah!

-Hey, Kip. Psst, psst. -Oh, hi.

Um... Math Molly’s going to help us with Tilly’s surprise.

-Oh, let’s go. Quietly. -Yeah!

[Narrator] The babies are here to use math to solve a problem.

We need help to make Tilly’s cake.

-[Kip] Ooh. -Ah! That’s a stick of butter.

[gasps] And that’s how much Cookity said we needed.

Just that part.

How much is that, big kids?

[Kids] One half.

Oh!

So we only need one half a stick of butter.

But, um, what about the milk?

That’s a whole cup of milk.

All the way to the top.

But, Cookity says we need this much.

Just up to the middle.

How much is that, big kids?

[Kids] One half.

Oh, well, that’s just a half, too.

[gasps] Now I know why Cookity stopped us.

We only need half a stick of butter.

And half a cup of milk.

Now you can make Tilly’s ca-- hi, Tilly.

Uh, wow, Tilly.

You’re just in time for our, uh... math party.

-[cheering] -Math party!

♪ We did math ♪

♪ We went down the math path ♪

♪ We stopped to think the problem out ♪

♪ Now it’s time to jump and shout ♪

♪ Yeah, we did it, we did it ♪

♪ Math makes you a super smarty ♪

♪ So we had a big math party ♪

♪ We love math! ♪

One half cup of milk.

And one half a stick of butter.

[Franny] Scoopity-doop

[carnival music playing]

He’s mixing.

He’s cooking.

[Both] Ooh.

[drumroll playing in background]

Wow.

Tilly?

It’s not your birthday,

but we still wanted you to have a special day.

So...

[All] Happy Tortoise Day!

[blows kazoo]

-[everyone laughs] -[Bailey] Yeah!

-That cake was so yummy. -Yeah!

Did you like it, Tilly?

Look, we ate half the cake.

We sure did.

One half of the whole. Ahh.

I’m really full now.

Me, too.

Tilly, what do you want to do next?

Aha!

I think Tilly wants to do her pattern dance.

It’s Happy Tortoise Day,

so... the tortoise gets to choose.

[All] Yay!

♪ Let’s do Tilly’s pattern dance ♪

♪ -It’s such a fun dance to do -Yeah! ♪

♪ We’ll follow Tilly’s pattern ♪

♪ You can do it, too ♪

♪ And it goes like this ♪

Franny is painting a picture of her friends.

Franny, how much longer?

Well, I can’t finish

until I find the perfect color for the last part.

Let’s see. Not red, not purple.

[Lulu] Hurry, please.

I don’t think my arm likes this anymore.

-Yes. -Ooh.

Maybe the big kids can... Whoa! Help you choose a color? Ah!

Ooh, great idea.

I really need your help.

-[Tilly] Wow! -I’m cute.

And I’m silly!

What a good painting, Franny.

Oh, you like it? You really like it?

-[All] Yeah. -But, um, there’s a mistake.

-A mistake? -Mm-hmm.

You’re too tall in the painting, Franny.

Oh, but I’m the oldest,

so that makes me the tallest.

But I’m taller than you.

Uh, no, no, no, no.

The oldest is always the tallest.

-It’s a rule. -Is that a rule?

I don’t think so.

Um... Well, maybe we could measure ourselves

to see who’s the tallest.

Okay, but how do we do that?

-[Lulu] Oh, the Whatsit Toy. -[All] Yay!

He always has what you need when you need it.

-Yeah! -How about that, Whatsit?

Yeah, come back, Whatsit.

-A pencil. -Oh.

[All] Thanks, Whatsit!

But, how does that pencil help us measure?

[Narrator] Babies, you can use the pencil

to measure your height against the bathroom door,

like we’ve done before.

Oh, yeah. I remember that.

See? Here are our old measurements.

Look how little we used to be.

Let’s see how big we are now.

-Big. -That’s right, Tilly.

-Big. -Oh, Tilly can go first.

-Yeah. Come on, Tilly. -Yeah.

Just stand against the wall,

and I’ll draw a line where the top of your head is.

And your sticker goes right here to mark your height.

That’s how tall you are now, Tilly.

Oh, oh! Me next.

-How tall am I? -Okay, come on, Lulu.

[Bailey] Right here. And your sticker.

Oh, I’m getting big.

-Yeah. -My turn?

-Yeah, I’ll do it. -[Bailey] Okay.

Let’s see if I’ve grown.

[Kip] Hold still.

-Yeah. -[Bailey] And there’s my sticker.

-I’ve grown. Who’s next? -[Lulu giggles]

-Oh, my turn. -Okay, Kip.

[Franny gasps]

Kippy is super tall.

I sure am!

-[Bailey] Okay, your turn, Franny. -Oh, okay.

[laughs nervously] I’m just gonna... is it my turn? I’m just gonna...

Uh... wait a second. I just want to see where Kip--

Don’t move please, Franny.

You’re on your tippy-toes.

-[Bailey] Oh, no tippy-toes. -Okay, fine.

But, uh, oh, is that a giant walking bowl of noodles?

-[everyone gasps] -Where? Noodles? Where?

[Bailey] I don’t see anything.

Oh, well, um... I thought I saw something,

but, I guess it was nothing.

-Okay, you can measure now. -Whoa.

Uh... wow, Franny, you’re really tall.

Yeah, well, I ate a lot of broccoli today,

so I guess I grew a lot.

Franny, you’re not supposed to stand on a stool.

I knew you weren’t that tall.

But, I don’t think we’re measuring right

because I should be the tallest.

No, I’m the tallest.

I don’t think so.

I do think so.

[Bailey blows trunk]

Um... I think that measuring might be math.

-Math Molly! -[Bailey blows trunk]

[everyone chatters happily]

[Narrator] The babies are here to use math to solve a problem.

We need your help...

[Both] To prove that I’m the tallest.

That’s us, but I can’t tell who’s the tallest

when we’re like that.

[Narrator] Babies, when you measure,

everyone has to stand in the same spot.

Yes, yes, like that.

Be in the same place.

Now we can measure.

Big kids, now that we’re measuring in the right way,

who’s the tallest baby?

[Kids] Kip.

-[Lulu] Oh. -Yeah! I’m the tallest baby.

Woohoo! Tallest! Tallest, yeah!

You are, Kip. I thought I was,

but, I wasn’t measuring the right way.

Well, that’s okay, Franny.

At least we learned how to measure.

And now we can have a...

-[All] Math party! -[music starts]

You can have a math party if you want to.

I don’t feel like it.

Um... but we didn’t even sing yet.

-Franny, wait! -[Kip] Franny! Franny!

Oh!

Are you okay, Franny?

-Oh! -We want to know how you’re feeling.

[Fanny groans]

I’m sad, because I thought since I was the oldest

that would make me the tallest.

And if I’m not the tallest,

what am I?

Well, you’re still the oldest.

And you’re a really great painter.

Yeah, and a really good chef.

And you’re the fastest by a lot.

Well, I do have cheetah speed.

And you’re also a really great friend.

-The best. -Yes.

So, it’s okay that I’m not the tallest?

Yes. You’re Franny size,

and that’s a perfect size for a Franny.

Yes.

I guess it is.
