[cell phone rings]

[Steve] Hello? This is Steve.

I just got some unexpected news.

After more than
investigations,

Amy Allan has decided
to take time off.

This is violent, violent.

The person
wants to k*ll somebody.

[Steve] I've seen up close how
hard she works to help our clients.

They are sucking the life
out of these people.

Amy did suggest another medium
to take her place.

Cindy Kaza.

[Steve] Now, I know Cindy
and I'm a big fan,

but I got to admit it's gonna be a
little weird to work with somebody new

after all these years.

It wants inside the house because
it wants to k*ll you. - [cries]

We need to continue the work that
we are so passionate about...

Thank you guys so much.

You're lifesaving.

We can be at peace again.

Oh, thank goodness.
Well, that makes me happy. - [woman] Yeah.

...which is helping the living
make peace with the dead.

I'm honestly
a little bit nervous.

This house scares me.

It's scary.

Super aggressive energy.

I wouldn't want to spend
the night in this house...

...at all.

[Steve] So, I'm back out here
in one of my favorite cities,

Tucson, Arizona.

I got a call
from a woman named Cynthia

who sounds terrified.

She says her family's dream home

has become a paranormal warzone.

She's ready
to get the hell out of there.

The problem is
her husband refuses to budge.

It sounds like things
are really bad,

and I'm hoping Cindy and I
can help these people out.

[Steve] So, Cynthia,
you live in this big, beautiful home,

but when we talked on the
phone you sounded terrified.

Yes. - Yeah.
What the hell is going on here?

[sighs]

I feel whatever is here
is trying to k*ll me.

She wants me dead.

All right,
you just said "she."

Why do you call it a "she?"

Because I feel like
it's a female entity.

I also feel like the devil
has a hand in this as well.

Sounds like you're living in
hell, literally.

Oh, yeah, almost definitely,
and this is our dream home. - Okay.

So, let's start with some basics.
Who lives in the house?

Okay.
- So who do we got here?

Myself and my husband Pedro
and my son Adam.

And how old is Adam?
- Adam is .

[Steve]
Your son lives at home?

Adam was in a motor
vehicle accident in .

He suffered
a traumatic brain injury

and he was in a coma
for three days.

The doctors had let us know that
he was not gonna make it. - Oh, jeez.

[Cynthia] He had to learn
how to do everything

all over again.
- Oh, I am so sorry to hear that.

All right, so, Cynthia,
do me a favor

and give me a list of what you
guys are going through here.

Things move on their own.

We hear startling noises.

Our moods are being affected.

We see shadow figures.

It's also become very
physically violent. - Okay.

The way your moods are being
influenced, what's going on with that?

I'm in fear, a lot of despair,
and sadness, and heartache.

Is anybody in the house
being affected like you are?

Yes, my husband is as well.

[Steve] How's he being affected?
Similar to you or different?

Different. He's more agitated,
he's more aggressive.

He comes home angry.

Is it affecting the marriage? - Yes,
I feel like the house is taking over him.

Now, you mentioned on the phone

that your husband's
pretty stubborn

about leaving this place.

He is. It's sentimental.
His father gifted us the land.

I understand the sentiment
he has for this home, - Yeah.

but his family needs to come first.
- Yeah, absolutely.

He doesn't see that.

So you're on your own.

I'm on my own.

You break my heart,
I have to tell ya,

just listening to you
and looking at you.

It's k*lling me,
and I'm glad we're here.

[Cindy] There's, like, really deep
depression happening in this house.

I'm concerned for the family.

And I feel like the mom
doesn't know what to do.

She's like, "I don't know
how to help my family.

I don't know how
to save my family.

I don't know how to fix this."

It's scary.
This is really bad.

Man, I feel like there is
definitely something inhuman here.

Shadow figures moving
everywhere across the hall.

This family
is legitimately terrified

about what's happening
in their home.

Terrified about what's
happening in their home.

This is not safe turf for me.

It's dangerous.

Oh, a kid's room. Okay.

Oh. [gasps]

[sighing] Oh.

I hate this house. I seriously hate
this house. It's so [bleep] up.

It's not good.

Okay, so, Cynthia,
why'd you bring me into the kitchen?

I hear what sounds like pebbles
are getting thrown at my windows.

So which windows
are you hearing this?

The windows
underneath the cabinets.

[Steve]
Okay, so we are in Arizona,

and just the landscaping alone
has a lot of pebbles and rocks.

And it could be the wind
picking it up

and hitting the windows?
- No.

This happens to me maybe
:, : in the morning,

and there's no wind.

What else is going on?

That freezer door
right behind you

just slammed right into me
very viciously with force.

All right,
so this doesn't open easy.

It's a freezer door.
It's not supposed to... - No, no,

not supposed to open
from the inside.

I was literally
shaking and crying.

If that happened to me
[chuckles] I'd freak out.

Yeah, I had no explanation for it.
- Okay.

There's a lot of poltergeist
activity in this house, too.

[voice laughs maliciously]

I see objects flying around.

I feel like I'm hearing plates
breaking in the kitchen,

glass shattering,
hair getting pulled.

I can feel the whole house
kind of shaking.

Every time I look at
the chandeliers in this house

they start moving on their own.

The lights go on and off.

Doors are slamming.

How seriously would you rate
the poltergeist activity here?

If it's a scale of one to ten,
I'd say we're at .

It's the worst-case scenario.

[Steve] Hey, Cynthia,

you didn't mention you had
young girls living here.

That's my granddaughter's room

when they come and spend the night.
- Okay.

All right, so what's going on?

I wake up with bruises
and scratches.

So what kind of scratches are we
talking about? - I have a photo.

How often is this happening?

That happened
a couple of months ago.

But I woke up this morning
with another bruise.

It's very painful.

So it's tender to the touch?
- Yes.

I mean, is it possible in the middle of
the night your husband banged into you

rolling over or something?

No, because I don't sleep
in the bed with my husband.

Okay, so you're not even
sleeping with him? - No.

Anything else like that happen?

Any kind of
other physical things?

I was walking down the stairs
and I got shoved really hard.

Did you get hurt? - I did get hurt.
I went to urgent care.

Can you actually show me how
hard you got shoved? - Yes.

Okay.

I'm no lightweight.
That shove would have put me on the ground.

I was very afraid.

What do you think is here?

I think we have demons here.
- Okay.

And the female demon,
I feel that she wants me dead.

[Cindy] I know that there's a
woman, a female spirit.

This woman
does not want us here.

I feel like she was
really mean and abusive.

She did everything she could to make
everybody else's life miserable...

...when she was alive,

and she's doing the same thing
from the other side.

How is she doing that?

She is the one who is
causing the family to fight.

If you're standing here and
this woman comes behind you

it's like immediately
you just feel rage.

I just keep hearing people
screaming at each other.

Do you know if she ever has
any kind of

physical interaction
with the living?

She's pushing people,
she's pulling hair.

She pulls the covers off people,

pulls their legs.

She's really, really angry.
Super mean.

She's a pissed off lady.

[Steve] So, Adam,
I was talking to Mom today.

She was telling me some wild
stuff that's happening here,

and she thinks whatever's here
is pretty dangerous.

She's at the point
she's ready to leave.

I am, too.
- You are?

Yeah. I'm on board
with that, yeah.

So, Adam, I understand you're
recovering from serious surgery.

Now, is it tough
for you to recover

with all this activity going on?

I do believe that.
- Okay.

Yeah.

As far as experiences,

do you have any
that you can tell me about?

I've seen a shadow man entity.

So where did you see
this shadow man?

I saw him in the front yard.

[Steve]
All right, so do me a favor

and tell me what he looked like.

[Adam] He was
a tall dark shadow.

Did it move at all?
- It didn't move

but he made you feel like
he was looking at you.

So, Adam, anything else?

Yeah, just everybody's
behavior I would say.

Our mood swings and more fighting,
more bickering about nothing.

Your mom was telling me
about that.

What are you feeling?

I get angry.
There's holes in my wall.

You seem pretty mellow to me.
Is that your personality?

No. I really feel that's from
an outside influence, man.

We weren't always like that.
- Okay.

Everything about this room
feels off.

[sighs] What is going on?

There's a dead man
who committed su1c1de.

How would this suicidal man
be affecting the living here?

He's especially affecting
the kid in this room.

He's affecting his sleep.

It's dangerous

because the living,
they're getting depressed.

It's gonna get a lot worse
if things don't change.

All right, hold up.

This is really bad.

[Steve] So, Pedro,
I was talking to your wife.

Cynthia told me that you
and her are having problems

with your moods in the house.

Do you agree with that?
- Yeah, I do.

Getting home
from work or wherever,

I start to tense up, I start to feel
angry, I start to feel anxious.

And that's all the time.

Do you feel it's affecting
the marriage at all?

Because she does.
- Oh, yeah.

Oh, yeah, definitely.
Definitely affecting the marriage.

Now, what about
experiences that you've had?

Can you tell about it?
- Yeah.

I woke up one night
being choked.

Did it feel like hands around you?
- Yep.

So, now, the hands
that were around your neck,

could you tell if it was
a male or a female?

No, it just felt very strong.

How long did it last?

seconds.

Anything else you can tell me?

Just the bad financial luck

where it's to where
I can't keep up with my bills,

falling behind,
almost going bankrupt.

Well, in this economy lots
of us have money problems.

What makes you think
it's paranormal though?

Well, our mother said
the land was cursed.

I believe it's the land.
- Okay.

I'm seeing an angry dead man.

He says he's lost everything.

How does he interact
with the living?

I feel like he causes problems
in the house.

Like, he wants this family's
house to fall apart.

I feel like I'm in a string
of bad luck with finances.

He wants them
to lose their money.

He wants them
to lose their home.

He affects the mind in a way where they'll
start making bad business decisions

or start doing
foolish things with money.

That's his agenda.

[Steve]
Anything else you can tell me?

[Pedro] Yeah, blessing the yard,

when I came to the mesquite
tree, I was doing my prayer,

and the minute
I started my prayer

it sounded like
, birds took off.

And it was a clear night

so I could see the tree was
still, completely still.

All right, so you have a sound
of a bunch of birds taking off,

but no physical evidence of it
other than the hearing it?

Right. - I've never
heard that one before.

And it scared me.

So, do you think the prayer
set this whole thing off?

That night I do, yes.
- Okay.

Your wife thinks there's a demon here.
What do you think is here?

Just evil spirits.

All right.

[Cindy] So, we have
this inhuman force

not only inside the house
but can be outside the house.

And I see the energy
of this thing.

It's created a field
around the entire home.

When you're looking out this
window down here, shadows.

Shadow figure back and forth.

I see birds flying into windows.

I'm seeing a young girl
in this house.

She's being oppressed,

so she's not possessed but
there's an oppression happening.

Okay, can you elaborate
on that a little bit?

It's like starting to lose
time, you're not yourself.

You can be rageful, you can be
mean, you can be depressed.

So we're not at possession yet
but it's almost there.

I am % sure that we're
dealing with something demonic.

I'm here because
I want to help this family,

but I want to get out of here
as quickly as we can.

It's dangerous for everyone.

[Steve] I've done quite a few
investigations in Tucson,

so I reached out to a bunch of
contacts that I've worked with before.

I just heard back from a
genealogist friend of mine.

She tells me one of the first
owners of my client's land

was a high society
medical doctor

who suffered nothing but tragedy

the second he and his wife
bought the property.

So, Bridgette, thanks for
helping me out with this case.

Okay, so, this high society
couple, what do we know about 'em?

Mabel and Doctor Stirley Davis,

they moved to the area
in about .

Okay, so where
did they come from?

They came from Oklahoma.
- Okay.

So when they got here did they have a
family or were they gonna start one?

They already had two kids
when they got here,

and then, five years after
they got here in ,

they had Stirley Davis Junior.

So now they got three kids?
- Yes.

So, now, you mentioned
that this guy was a bigwig.

Is that just because
he was a doctor? - No.

[Bridgette] He was also the
president of the Chamber of Commerce,

and he was the president of the
Pima County Medical Association.

All right, so what about
his wife?

His wife also was involved
in the community

because she was part
of the board of directors

of the Arizona Children's Home.

Okay, so they were
really influential

around town.
- They were.

All right, so, do we know when
they acquired my client's property?

Yeah, he bought the land
in .

So when did things
go bad for them?

Well, in November of ,

young Stirley Junior,
he was only four years old,

was playing outside
with Margaret.

And he ran into the street
and was struck by a car.

Okay, does he get k*lled?

Yes, and this is his death record.
- Ah, jeez.

All right, so this is tragic.
I couldn't even imagine losing a child.

Uh, did things get
better for them? - No.

Two years later,
the family suffers another tragedy,

this time with their daughter
Margaret, and she was just .

I mean, jeez,
what the hell happened?

Margaret was out
with five of her friends

and she wanted to go
to a slumber party.

They ran into a friend of
theirs, Charles Fowler,

who offered to give them a ride.

Only problem is his car
didn't have enough room,

so there were a few
inside the car

and then there were some that were
on the outside on the running boards.

Oh, okay, I can see
where this is going.

[Bridgette] So as he was driving,
another car hit their car.

And it just so happened
to hit the side

where Margaret was at,

and she d*ed on impact,
and here's the obituary.

[Steve] I can't imagine
losing one child,

but losing two within two
years and from car accidents?

This is insane.

Please tell me
things got better for them.

No, tragedy strikes their
family a third time.

Dr. Stirley
dies of heart disease in ,

and here's
his death certificate.

[Steve] Jeez, he was only .

All right, so, I'm thinking
of the wife right now, Mabel,

losing two kids,

and then her husband
dies relatively young.

She had to be out of her mind.

[Cindy] I'm seeing
that dead lady again.

Don't know if it's Margaret,
or Margery, or Mary, or it's like...

She doesn't want people
talking about her business.

She comes from money.
She's connected to this land.

But she doesn't want
this family to be happy.

I feel like she had a son
who would have d*ed.

There's a connection
to having a kid who d*ed.

This woman
will only leave this house

if she can take the boy with her

because somebody k*lled her son.

I'm seeing cigarette smoke everywhere.
I'm smelling cigarette smoke.

I can hear her coughing, and
coughing, and coughing, and coughing.

She had cancer. Like, she's here,
she's pissed off, she's angry.

This is a mess.

This is, like, a hot mess.

[Steve] So I did some
follow-up on Mabel Davis.

She d*ed of cancer
at the age of .

A short and tragic life.

But here's what I found weird.

Turns out she sold
my client's land

the same year her husband d*ed,

but the next owner
only kept it for months.

So I'm heading over to meet a local
historian I've worked with before.

Now, he says
there's a good reason

the next owner didn't hold on
to the land for long.

The second he bought it he ran
into some terrible financial luck.

[Steve] So it's good to see you again,
Marshall. Thanks for helping me out.

So I understand that this guy
suffered a lot

after Mabel Davis
sold him the property.

Who the hell was he?

So, Doctor Earl Brown was an
eye, ear, nose, throat doctor

who worked for
the Thomas Davis Clinics.

In fact, he wound up running
the entire organization.

[Steve] So after Doctor
Davis dies of heart disease,

his wife sells the land
to this guy

who took over the medical clinic?
- Right.

Okay, you said this guy had bad
financial luck. What happened?

So, the same year
that he buys the land,

there is a patient, Jesus Lopez,

Okay. - who winds up falling
down a set of badly marked stairs

and causes him to die.

And so there is then
a wrongful death lawsuit

for $, against the clinic.

All right, so grand,
that's a lot of money in the mid 's.

It was a lot of money,
and so we think, at this point,

that's why Dr. Brown had to sell
the property to pay for the lawsuit.

And it gets even worse.
- Okay, so what happened?

He's named in a federal
anti-trust lawsuit.

He's accused of raising
the prices of eye glasses

and then
pocketing the difference.

Okay, so this guy's trying to
recover from the lawsuit. - Right.

What happens next?

Basically,
he then developed hypertension

and suffers a massive stroke.

He is rushed to the hospital.

Three hours later,
he passes away at the age of .

Okay, so he's a young guy.

Cerebral hemorrhage,
so he must have suffered before he d*ed.

So it sounds like this guy's
bad decisions all started with

him buying the land my
clients live on. - Right.

[Cindy] The guy who lost
everything, he's here.

He keeps saying,
"They took everything I had.

They robbed me,
they robbed me."

So this is in the past,
- Mmm-hmm.

but it's connected to this land.

Feels like
he's robbed of his livelihood,

that everything's
stolen from him,

and he sees this family with a nice
house, with things,

and it pisses him off.

"They took my land, they took my
house, they took everything I owned.

I want revenge."
That's what I'm hearing.

"I'm out for blood."

[Steve] So I just got a call from
a retired homicide detective.

He tells me
there was a crazy case

that happened right near
Cynthia's house.

It involved a drug dealer and a
couple of bloodthirsty hitmen.

When all was said and done,
three people were m*rder*d.

[Steve] So, Bill,
you mentioned on the phone

that this case had all kinds
of twists and turns to it.

Let's start at the beginning.
Who even started this mess?

-year-old Damien.

Damien Jasso.

He's a drug dealer in Tucson.

All right, so we got this -year-old
drug dealer. What happens next?

In early ,
there was a incident that happened

where two masked gunmen came into his
residence and terrorized his family.

Okay, so we've got a home
invasion of a drug dealer

which is not uncommon.
- Yes, right.

So what happens next?

Well, he believes he knows one
of the guys that did this. - Okay.

And he hires two hitmen
to go rough 'em up.

One person is Jesus Sanchez.
- Okay.

The other is Cecil Rodriguez,
also known as Maníaco

which means "maniac" in English.
- [chuckling] Yeah.

Yeah, that I know. [chuckles]

You work the streets long enough

you pick up a lot of stuff.

All right, so we got two
armed guys with Jasso here.

What happens next?

They go to the wrong address,

which is about ,ft
from your client's residence,

and they spot a guy
working on his car.

They open up g*nf*re, k*ll him.

All right, so do these two idiots
realize they k*lled the wrong guy?

Yes, they do.
- Okay.

Couple of hours later, they track down
the guy they were supposed to hit,

Israel Lopez,

and they sh**t and k*ll him.

All right, now, how far is that
from my client's residence?

It's ,ft.

All right, so this is all
relatively close? - Yes.

So now we've got two dead bodies.
- Correct.

When we spoke you said there
was three homicides. - Yes.

How does the third body show up?

Well, these two go back to Jasso

and say, "Listen,
we k*lled an extra body.

We want five grand
and some cocaine."

You're joking?
- No.

Does he give it to 'em?

No, Jasso tells 'em
to pack sand.

All right, so now we got...

...Jasso telling 'em to go to
hell, but what happens?

They go after the person that
was involved in this with Jasso,

the middle man,
- Okay.

and they can't
locate him either.

So they go after
the next best thing

which is his -year-old uncle.

They end up taking him, kidnapping
him, sh**ting him three times,

put him in a car
and setting it on fire,

and he dies.

All right, so we got Jasso, Rodriguez,
and Sanchez involved in this whole mess.

Did the cops ever get any
kind of lead on these guys?

Jesus Sanchez is caught
a few days after

the last m*rder.
- Okay.

And he's caught
in a home invasion

and actually has
the w*apon on him

that he used in
one of the murders.

All right. Thank God
they're stupid, right?

All right, so we got
a good case against this guy.

Does he wind up copping a plea
or going to trial?

No, he goes to trial,
and he's found guilty by the jury

and sentenced to life in prison

without the possibility
of parole.

All right, so we got Sanchez.
What about the other two guys?

They do get Jasso,
the person that started all this,

but he enters a plea deal.

He only gets probation and he
only has to serve days in jail.

What about the other hitman?

The other hitman, Maníaco,

goes on the run for about
ten years down to Mexico.

Ten years later,
my partner gets a call on homicide

as I'm sitting there.

Maníaco, he fried himself
down in Mexico.

He was pulling cable out of a
high-tension wire, pulling copper wiring,

and got electrocuted.

k*lled himself.

That's justice right there, right?
- Amen.

[Cindy] I saw a lot of
terrifying things during my walk,

but the dead woman tormenting
a living woman in bed,

that has me really worried.

So there's a dead woman
who was super angry,

and she was pulling the leg of
the woman sleeping in the bed

and trying to yank her
out of the bed.

She had longer hair.
Like, it was, I could see it was gray.

Yeah, I think, um,
she's just a little bit shorter

and a little bit more frail.

Cindy, is that what you saw?

That's definitely what I saw.

[Steve] Now that Cindy and I have
completed our investigations,

we're ready
to reveal our findings

to each other, and our
clients, for the first time.

So, Cindy, I'd like you
to meet Cynthia and Pedro.

Now, they live here
with their son, Adam.

This is Adam right here.

Now, these guys have been
married for years.

But the way things are going
in this house,

they're not gonna make it to .

So here's the problem.

Cynthia can't take
the activity anymore,

and she actually is hoping you'll
tell her that they can't stay.

But Pedro,
he doesn't want to leave.

And he's praying
you can show him a way

to kick out whatever the hell
it is that's torturing them.

So now that Cindy knows
a little bit about you guys,

she'll tell us about her walk.

[Cindy] I'm gonna start
talking about the phenomenon

that's going on
inside the house.

So, during my walk I saw
dishes falling off the shelves.

I saw the refrigerator open
and food falling out.

I saw things flying around.

What you're experiencing is
intense poltergeist activity.

So, on a scale from one to ten,

I feel like this house is a .

[Steve] Wow.

So, Cynthia,
I'm gonna start with you.

Let's talk about, um, well,

the pebbles and the banging
in the kitchen.

I will hear pebbles
getting thrown at my windows

underneath my cabinet.
- Mmm-hmm.

Now, she mentioned
about doors slamming.

You had the freezer door
do a number on you.

Yes, I was in front of the freezer
door, getting water,

and it just slammed
right into me

from the inside out.

Is this all poltergeist stuff, or...
- Poltergeist activity.

[Steve] Okay.

And it's really intense
poltergeist activity,

so you have every right
to be afraid.

[Steve] So we got poltergeist activity.
What else is going on?

There are three dead people causing
a lot of problems in this house.

And each one of these people are
focused on a different family member.

The first one I want to talk about
is the "lost everything" man.

He told me that everything had
been taken from him in life,

and because of that he doesn't want
people in this house to do well.

He's targeting whoever makes
financial decisions in this home.

So I'm guessing that you guys probably feel
like you've run into some financial bad luck.

He wants to see you fail
just like he did,

and he wants to see you lose his
home because he lost his home.

It seems like every time
I think I'm moving forward

I end up going backwards,
financially,

and I can't figure out why.

And I never had this
problem until here. - Yeah.

[Steve] So, Cindy,
do you have any idea

who this bad luck guy was
when he was alive?

I sense that he had his
livelihood stolen from him.

I heard him say, "They took my land.
They took my land.

They took my land.

And they took my house."

This guy sees you
and your family.

He sees you have a house, he sees you have
nice things, and it really makes him angry.

He's seeking revenge, and,
quite frankly, he's out for blood.

He's a former owner of the
land who lost everything.

His name was Doctor Earl Brown.
I got a photo of him.

Back in those days in the s,

he was a prominent eye, ear,
nose, and throat doctor

who ran a local clinic
in the area.

So he bought this property
back in .

And from that moment on,
his finances went to hell. - Wow.

[Steve] So the same year
he bought the property,

a patient at the clinic d*ed
in a slip-and-fall accident.

Nothing to do with malpractice.

But the victim's family sued for
grand which was a fortune back then.

Now, Dr. Brown settled,
but he put himself in a deep hole

and had to sell off your land
the next year.

In total, he only had your property
for, like, months.

So the guy was ruined.

By , he was suffering
from hypertension.

He suffers a stroke
and he drops dead.

So on his death certificate it
shows he was only years old.

That's young.

[Steve] Now, is it possible

this guy Earl could be the
guy who lost everything?

I mean, sure.

And what's interesting to me
is that he came here,

was here for months,
and lost everything.

I mean, it's like immediate
financial ruin. - Yeah.

[Steve] So you said there were three active
dead people here. Who's the second one?

So the second dead person
that I saw was a dead man.

He felt to me like he was
in his late s or early s.

I think this guy k*lled himself
in the late 's, early s.

He's very focused on
whoever lives in

the first bedroom
on the second floor.

[Steve]
And that's Adam's room?

[Cynthia] That's Adam's room, yes.
- [Steve] Okay.

So I feel like Adam must
have seen this guy before,

and this dead guy
also changes his mood.

Mmm.
- Mmm.

He's making him feel depressed.
- [whispering] Yeah.

I didn't come across any
suicides in my investigation,

but when I spoke with Adam he told
me he was feeling down and angry.

He's depressed, he has anxiety,

and he flies off the handle.

Tell her about the accident.

He had an accident in ...

...and, um, he suffered a traumatic
brain injury. - [Cindy] Mmm.

And he was in a coma
for, like, four days.

He pulled through.

He's a good, good-hearted kid.

Mmm-hmm.
And he's also very open. - Yes.

That makes sense.

Makes a lot of sense.
[sighing] Yeah.

[Cindy] So the third dead
person that I want to talk about

is the one that
I'm most worried about.

The woman.

She's very present,
she's very dangerous,

and she's very focused
on the woman in the house.

One of the biggest things
that she can do

is she can make people fight.

[scoffs]
- [Pedro] Oh, yeah.

Yeah. - All of a sudden,
you'll just feel vicious rage.

We don't get along, any of us.

We're always in a rage,
we're always angry,

we're always fighting with each other.
- Mmm-hmm.

When I start walking towards the
house I still feel pretty good.

But then, once I get through the
doors, feel a heaviness.

Like, it just hits, it hits me.

And then I start getting agitated.
The littlest things bother me.

Mmm-hmm.

And you guys are worried

that this is gonna cause
a problem with your marriage.

It already is.

It already is.
- Yeah.

We just can't stand
[chuckling softly] each other.

So, Cindy, can this dead woman
do anything else

besides make them fight?

Yeah, I mean,
she can get really physical.

She's pushing people,
she's pulling hair.

She pulls
the covers off people...

...pulls their legs.

And I had a sketch done
of what I saw.

You did say you don't like
sleeping in there, right?

[inhales]

You're so scared of that room.

I told you somebody
is bothering me. [inhales]

[Pedro] And I keep on fooling myself
with, "Let's be realistic.

I'm fooling myself.
I know what's here."

[Steve] Cindy,
there's been a lot of physical att*cks.

Cynthia wakes up
with scratches and bruises.

This is a photo of the scratches
on your back. - [Cindy] Wow.

[Cynthia] Yes.

Remember how I asked you to
show me how you got shoved?

Yes. I was walking down the
stairs and I got just shoved.

I just fell down on the floor.

Now, Pedro, you got choked in bed, right?
- Mmm-hmm, yeah.

Tell her about that.

Well, sleeping and felt pressure.
Woke me up.

Couldn't breathe.
Felt like I was choking.

Looking around because there's nothing
there, but I'm freaking out.

Did you get anything else
on her?

I did get that
she came from money.

I know that she was
from around here.

And I feel like
she had a son who d*ed,

and obviously
that made her really upset.

I kept hearing the name
"Margaret" or "Mary."

And I heard her coughing a lot,

and that coughing
made me feel like

she would have passed away
from cancer.

She was very sick when she d*ed.

[Steve] So I have an idea who
she might be talking about.

There's a woman
named Mabel Davis

who owned this land
from to .

Her husband,
Doctor Stirley Davis,

he was a bigshot who co-owned
the Thomas-Davis clinic.

And they had clinics
all over the damn place.

But buying this land was the
worst decision they ever made.

About five weeks
after they bought it,

the couple's four-year-old son

was playing
in front of the house.

He ran out in the street and
got hit by a car. - Oh, my God.

He was rushed to the hospital
but he d*ed a few hours later.

Um, I have
his death certificate here.

Fractured skull
is what k*lled him.

[inhales]

Now, this is gonna, it just,
it freaked me out when she said it.

Two years after they lost
their four-year-old son,

the couple's -year-old
daughter Margaret

[gasps] - was also
k*lled in a car accident.

Oh, my God.

[Steve] And I, I have...
- Oh, this is crazy.

And I have her obit here.

Now, the couple was left
with one surviving child.

But the stress
got to Doctor Davis,

and he d*ed of heart disease
at the age of .

Now, after that,
Mabel sold the property.

She d*ed in in a rest home

of, just like you said, cancer.

It's definitely Mabel.

[whispering] Wow.

[Steve]
Please tell me we're done.

[Cindy] No, unfortunately,
there is more.

There is definitely some sort of
inhuman demonic force in this house.

This thing can create
shadow figures.

I saw birds flying into windows.

Wow.

While I was doing
a blessing one night,

it sounded like
, birds took off.

It was a clear night.

I could see through the tree,

and no birds
and no branches moving.

Nothing. It scared me.

You mentioned that this
thing creates shadow figures.

Adam saw a shadow figure
in front of the house,

coming home one night.
- Mmm-hmm.

So now the big question is what
the hell does this demon want?

When I walked upstairs,
I went into the girls' room.

Mmm.
- [Steve] Okay, so that room

is their granddaughters' room.
- Granddaughters' room.

[Steve]
They come visit here a lot.

Unfortunately, I feel like it has
its sights set on one of the girls.

She might start becoming
short-tempered, aggressive, mean.

I feel like the situation
is pretty dangerous.

Does this ring a bell
for anyone?

[sighs] Yeah.

Yeah, it does.

[Steve] It does?
- Yes.

Sometimes I'll look at her and I
swear she's looking right through me.

Mmm-hmm. - And I just stare in her
eyes like I'm staring into yours,

but it look like
I'm seeing something else.

And this is a little girl?
- A little girl.

She's never been
like that, right?

[Pedro and Cynthia] No.

[Cynthia] I'm terrified.

I'm very terrified.

And it's not just the girls
that are in danger,

it's your entire family.

[Cynthia] Yes.
- [Cindy] It's everyone.

I'm sorry.
- [Cindy] Um.

Can I just get up for a minute?
- [Steve] Yeah.

[Steve]
So, guys, I'm about to make

the understatement of the year.

You have a hell of a lot
going on here.

So now it's time to answer
the big question.

Is there any way to fight back
against all of this?

Or is time to do what
Cynthia's wanted all along?

Move out and make a fresh
start somewhere else?

For those answers,
I'm gonna turn it over to my partner Cindy.

I know you probably know
what I'm about to say,

Yeah, I do.
- and it's a very hard pill to swallow,

but you have to get out
of this house.

It's not safe for your family
to stay here.

I knew it was coming.

I just, like I said,
I was in denial.

But I know what I needed,

and I just knew it was gonna be

what I'm hearing right now.

I am relieved.

What I felt all this time,
that we needed to leave from this house

because it was not safe
for our family.

And to hear it from you,
now I know that it's not just me.

You're not crazy.
- I'm not crazy, no.

[Steve] You know, I don't know
what you guys are gonna do,

but if they do leave the property
and settle someplace else

their marriage
will get back to normal.

I really think that it will.

Okay, so what about
their granddaughter

that's being targeted
by this demon?

[Cindy] I don't think that
the kids are safe here.

Those girls can't be here.

I'd keep 'em away
until you make a decision.

We already made it.
- Yeah, we made it already.

I'm gonna sell it.

At the end of things,
your family comes first. - Right.

Yes. - So, I know, Cynthia,
this is what you wanted to hear,

but, you know,
it's still bad news.

It's still bad news.
- Yeah.

And I'm sad.

Because it was,
it was supposed to be our dream home.

[Cindy] Mmm-hmm.

We can build one more.

[whispering] Yeah.

Thank you.
- Yeah.

Thank you.
Very grateful to everybody.

[Cindy] Telling a family
to leave their dream home

is the last thing I want to do,

but this house and the land
it sits on is beyond saving.

I really hope
they follow my advice

and move as quickly as possible.

If they do,
their relationship will begin to heal

and their grandkids can visit
as often as they want.

Hello, Steve and Cindy.

We want to thank you
for all your help.

[Pedro] We have contacted
the archdiocese

and they are sending a
priest out to bless our home.

We've also contacted a shaman.

And if there is no change we will
move forward in the sale of our home.

We appreciate everything
you guys did for us.

Thank you.
- Thank you.
