And the closest place we can get
it from is Harbor General.

AB-positive.

Well, you can siphon that out of me.
That's my blood type.

That's what the Army
put on my dog-tags.

Pressure is up.

And he's going to make it?

When the rest of that

I'm going to give it to him
for insurance.

Apparently, he's done a lot more
than property damage.

Joe, you remember a guy named
Buddy Alexander?

Yeah. Drug pusher.

m*rder*d six months ago.
Sure, I remember him.

What did Vance have to do with that?

Well, we fingerprinted him last
night when we brought him in.

His thumbprint matches one that
was left at Alexander's house.

On the fireplace poker
that k*lled him.

So that's why he was running.

He didn't want to get fingerprinted.

Is he the only suspect?

He's the best one we've got.

Buddy Alexander
had all kinds of enemies!

What about his partner--
the one who took over the operation?

What was his name?

Yeah, now I remember.

Only throws those things for sport,
never at people.

At least, we've never been able
to prove otherwise.

on everybody he ever knew.

a guard with a tray and took off.

I am troubled about him though.

He's not a violent man--

out on a couple of dates.

I knew what that meant.

It would be just a matter of time

before he'd have her
hooked on something.

So I went to his place.

And I was mad, Joe.

Believe me, I was mad enough to k*ll.

I got out the same way I went in.

You know the rest.

The poker k*lled him.

And I left a print on it.

The police found it.
Now they think I did it.

Nobody's going to get you
for something you didn't do.

Not if we can find the real k*ller.

Do you have any idea who'd be
after you besides the police?

Well, I heard there's been
a contract out

for Buddy Alexander's K*llers
for some time now.

that I'd be foolish enough

Joe, there's a couple of calls

I want to keep Vance as safe
as much as you do,

the greatest,

Okay. I told you the truth about the night

I went to Alexander's place,
except for one thing.

What happened after I got there.

Gloria was close to an overdose.

So I got her out of there

and took her over to a friend's
house, a doctor friend.

He gave her some stuff,

and we walked her around for hours
till she was out of danger.

Then I kept her with me
until she could walk straight.

Then I took her home.

Juanita never even knew
what had happened.

Hmm.

Did Gloria tell you
she'd k*lled Alexander?

She didn't remember.

All she could remember
was somebody

putting a needle in her arm.

Do you think she did it?

I don't know.

But I couldn't turn her in.

Did she tell you who gave her
the dr*gs that night?

She couldn't remember that, either.

Were you right with her all
the time your doctor friend was?

All but about a half an hour.

He sent me out to get
some stuff for her.

Maybe she told him something.

Where do I find him?
