This week the theme is Michael Jackson.

When I was a little kid, I would
listen to Michael on my record

player and just wore it out.

And I just thought he was the coolest.

Just the coolest dude in the world.

But I'm very nervous because, you know,
it's a bit of a departure for me.

But this week I'm going to be
busting out the guitar to have

that level of comfort of something
I adored, great to have that back.

I've been playing
guitar since I was .

My dad was a great guitar player.

Seeing my dad play
subconsciously made me want to.

When I was , my dad gave
me one for Christmas.

I don't remember the rest of the day.

I still remember the look on his face.

Just the pure joy.

One of the comforting facts
is I will have my guitar.

But Michael Jackson is not my sound.

So different from what I do.

We're trying to fit a round
peg into a square hole.

I just need more time.

He's definitely not as prepared
as he's used to feeling.

I have a feeling this is the first
week he's going to be nervous.

This is not his comfort zone.

I'm not prepared.

I'm not even close to prepared.

When you're concerned and nervous,
that's when you work harder.

I think this might be one of the toughest
weeks for me in this competition.

It's basically undeniable
that songwriting and singing,

rockin' Robin is a fun song and

Michael Jackson had a certain
style that I don't think

necessarily fits your style.
