Toby is a little brown tram engine.

[bell rings]

He is the number seven engine on Sir Topham Hatt's railway.

Toby is never happier than when pulling his faithful coach, Henrietta.

One day, as Toby was nearing Knapford Station,

he started to look worried.

Toby, if we don't speed it up,we'll be late.

But if I go too fast,we'll miss the view!

[cow moos]

Oh, look, a cow.And there's another one.

And another!

But we've got to getto Knapford Station

to pick up more workersfor the quarry.

[cows mooing]

You're scared aboutKnapford Junction, aren't you?

Don't worry, Toby, try again, you can do it!

One of them must be mine.

These signals are so confusing!

[bell rings]

[engine whistling]

-Whoops!-Oof!

[narrator] All morning, Toby went backwards and forwards...

S orry!

[narrator] ...forwards and backwards.

Oh!

My fault!

[narrator] He was making himself more and more confused

as the signals turned from green to red and back again.

[whistles]

Oh, Toby, do get a move on,

my buffers are aching.

Hold on, Henrietta,I'm going in!

Whoooa!

[whistles]

[men] Wait, wait!where's he going?

Um, Toby? Those wereour passengers!

Good morning, Toby, isn't it a lovely day?

[birds chirping]

What? No, just, um, resting.

[Thomas] Found you!

Playing hide-and-seek, are you?

I'm not hiding,

I'm just, uh, countingthe bricks in this wall.

Where did I get to? Um,ninety-eight, ninety-nine...

[sighs] Alright, yes,I'm hiding.

It's about Knapford Junction,isn't it?

How did you know?

The only signalyou need to watch

is the one directlyabove your line.

Everything else will take careof itself!

You're not just a little steamtram, Toby.

You're the number sevenbrown tram engine.

he didn't look happy at all.
