[Narrator] "Emily Saves the World"

It was a bright, sunny day

on the island of Sodor.

Duncan and Rheneas were boasting about

some of their great deliveries

when Emily arrived, pulling sand to Brendam Docks.

[Duncan]Hmm. Yes, well,

I have had somepretty exciting deliveries

in my day, but the most exciting

was probablya big elephant statue.

Really?Well, once Ihad to deliver

a great, big dinosaurskeleton!

Wow! An elephant anda dinosaur.

[toot toot toot]

And I'’m just delivering sand.

[Narrator] Gordon was picking up passengers at Maron Station

when Emily came by.

-[toot toot]-Hello, Gordon.

Have you ever hadany really exciting deliveries?

Well, um, I'’ve carried

an opera singeron my express,

and some actors,

and even the Queen!

Oh, my! The Queen?

That wouldbe exciting!

[toot toot toot]

[Narrator] At last, Emily arrived at Brendam Docks.

But she was starting to feel a little sorry for herself.

What'’s wrong, Emily?

Thomas, have you everdelivered anything exciting?

Oh, yes! Lots of times!

Once I delivered a jet engine.

It started up,and I went flying across Sodor

at supersonic speed!

Oh! I'’ve neverdeliveredanything exciting.

I bet you have, Emily.Think really hard.

[gasps] Well, there wasthat time I took Sodor United'’sfootball kit to the laundry!

[trains laughing]

Stinky laundryisn'’t exciting, Emily.

Not likea jet engine.

Stinky laundry! Stinky laundry!

[trains laughing]

[Narrator] Poor Emily.

She wished that she had something

really exciting to deliver,

instead of just sand.

The very next day,

Sir Topham Hatt sent Emily off

to collect a special.

Ohh. It'’s boundto be more sand.

[toot toot]

But it wasn'’t more sand.

Bust my buffers! Wow!

Emily had to take a giant model of the world

to the animal park!

This is the mostexciting deliveryI'’ve ever had!

I can'’t wait to showthe other engines!

[toot toot toot]

[Narrator] Emily chuffed up to the steamworks.

But she didn'’t see any other engines

to show the giant globe to.

Hello? Anyone here?

Victor? Kevin?

Where are allthe other engines?

[Narrator] Then Emily saw Gordon up ahead.

[toot toot]

But by the time she reached the station,

he'’d gone again.

Oh, no!

Emily wanted someone to see her exciting delivery,

so instead of going straight to the animal park...

-[toot toot] -she decided to keep looking

for other engines.

And then there was trouble.

[clank]

It'’s Thomas!

Ah, at last! [laughs]

[toot toot toot]

Hello, Thomas.

If you reallywant to seean exciting load,

look at this!

What do you think?

It'’s great, isn'’t it?

Um...what'’s great, Emily?

Can'’t you see a giant globeon my flatbed?

No....

there'’s nothing very excitingon your flatbed.

Oh, no! I must have lost it!

But how could it have come off?

[toot toot]

I better find it again

or I'’ll never getanother exciting delivery!

[Narrator] Meanwhile, the giant globe

was going on its own little journey.

[gasps]

Huh? Hmm.

[Narrator] Emily was searching everywhere.

A great, big, giant globelike that can'’t just disappear!

[gasps] Oh, no!

[gulps]

[clang]

I can'’t believe Emilymade up that story

about having a giant globeto deliver.

Ha ha! I know, Eddie!

That was verysilly.

[Eddie]Excuse me, you two,

we might want tohurry it along a bit.

-Why?-Because there'’s a giant globe

heading right for us!

-[toot toot]-[Emily] Come back!

I can'’t imaginewhat'’s keeping Emily.

She should have been herewith that globe by now.

Where could she be?

[Narrator] The giant globe rolled

all the way to Brendam docks.

Clattering Columbus!

The world'’s headedstraight for us!

I'’ll stop it!

-I got it!-Come here, you!

[gasps] Oh, no!

[Narrator] The giant globe had rolled

right off the end of the docks!

Even Cranky couldn'’t reach it now.

How am I going to tellSir Topham Hatt?

-[foghorn blows]-Did somebody lose their ball?

[chuckles]

Captain'’s rescuedthe runaway globe!

[Narrator] Cranky fished the giant globe out of the sea

and put it back onto Emily'’s flatbed.

Thanks, Cranky!

And thank you too,Captain.

[foghorn blows]

[toot toot toot]

My, my, Emily.

You are verylate.

I'’m really sorry, sir.

I just wanted everyoneto see my exciting delivery.

Well, you certainly didcause confusion and delay,

but at leastyou got here in the end.

Now let'’s get the globeinto place!

[children laughing]

[elephant trumpets]

Well, Emily,I think you managed

to make that the mostexciting delivery ever.
