- Yeah!

[engines revving]

- This way, guys.

[tires screeching]

- Rawr! - Whoo-hoo!

- Yeah!

[engines revving]

[insects squeaking]

Whoa. - Awesome.

- [laughs]

Hi, I'’m Blaze.

- And I'’m A.J.

- We'’re going through the jungle with our friend Stripes

to look for bugs.

- [sniffing]

Guys, over here.

I found some inside this log.

They'’re spiders!

[both chittering]

- Whoa.

- [laughs]

Don'’t get too dizzy, spiders.

[both chittering]

- [sniffing]



Hey, come look behind this rock.

- Aw, they'’re cute little caterpillars.

- [chittering]

- Hubcaps!

Those are the strongest caterpillars I'’ve ever seen.



[all chittering]

- See ya around, caterpillars.

- Spark, spark, spark. - [gasps]

- Spark, spark. - Listen.

It sounds like there'’s another bug over here.

- Spark, spark, spark.

Sparky!

both: Whoa!

[engine revving]

- Wow, what kind of bugare you?

- Spark, Sparky!

- Wow! - Whoa!

- His wings are glowing, like fire.

A bug that glows like fire?

You must be a fire beetle!

- Spark, spark.

- [laughs]

I think I'’ll call you Sparky.

- Sparky.

- Hey, Sparky.

What are you doing out here all by yourself?

- Spark, sparky, spark.

- Uh-oh, guys, I think he'’s lost.

- Poor little fire beetle.

I wonder where he lives?

- Hm, fire beetles like to live where it'’s super hot.

Somewhere like... a volcano!

- Spark, spark, spark, spark!

- Let'’s use my visor to see if we can find a volcano.

Switching to Visor-View.

[beeping]

- A volcano is a mountain filled with red-hot lava.

Which one of these mountains is a volcano?

Yeah! There'’s a volcano.

- Spark, spark. - Spark, spark.

And look! There'’s his family.

[together] Spark. Spark.

- They sound worried.

- They don'’t know where Sparky went.

- Spark, sparky!

Spark, spark, sparky!

- Look, Sparky'’s flapping his wings.

He'’s gonna try to fly home to his family.

- Uh-oh, but he'’s not going anywhere.

- Sparky can'’t get home, because he doesn'’t know how to fly yet.

He'’s just a baby fire beetle.

- Spark.

- Don'’t worry, Sparky.

You'’ll learn how to fly someday.

- Hey, I have an idea, Stripes.

Why don'’t we bring Sparky home?

- Yeah! We could take him to the volcano.

- What do you say, Sparky?

You want us to take you home?

- Spark!

- [laughs] Well, all right.

- Everyone, follow me.

This way to the volcano.

- Sparky!

- ♪ Start it up, hit the gas ♪

♪ It'’s time for us to roll ♪

♪ Let'’s drive super fast ♪

- Oh, Pickle, I'’m tired of looking for bugs.

Let'’s go get something to eat.

- Oh, Crusher, look!

A little caterpillar.

- Hello.

- And boy, is he strong.

I mean, just look at him carry that big,

delicious fruit all by himself.

- Big, delicious fruit?

Oh! I want that.

- Yeah, too bad that fruit belongs to the caterpillar.

- Pfft, not for long it doesn'’t.

- ♪ Doo-doo-doo

- Yoink! - Hey.

- Ha-ha!

♪ I got your fruit, and there'’s nothing you can do ♪

♪ Nothing you can do, nothing you can do ♪

Ah!

- Well, what do you know?

There is something he can do.

- Ah! - Sorry.

Wah!

[springing tone]

- Huh. You must work out.

- [squeals]

[engines revving]

- Sparky, sparky, sparky.

- Hey, look at Sparky.

I think he want to try flying again.

- Spark!

- You can do it, Sparky.

Just flap those wings.

- Spark, spark, sparky!

Spark, spark, spark.

- Check it out.

Sparky'’s going up in the air a little bit.

- Spark.

- Yeah! - Way to go!

That was great, Sparky.

You just keep practicing, and you'’ll be flying in no time.

- Spark, spark.

- Hey, Stripes, check it out.

A bridge.

- Come on, everyone.

This way to Sparky'’s home.

[engines revving]

[tires screeching]

- Uh-oh, something'’s wrong with this bridge.

- It'’s not strong enough to hold our weight.

- Sparky.

- Whoa-oh-oh!

- Quick, everyone jump off before it falls.

Jump!

- Whew, are you all right, Sparky?

- Spark, spark.

- Hubcaps, look.

Big pieces are missing from the bridge supports.

- [gasps] But those supports are what hold the bridge up,

so heavy things can drive across.

- Spark, spark.

- It'’s okay, Sparky.

We can fix the bridge.

We just need to do structural engineering.

- Spark.

- Structural engineering is when you figure out

how to build things so they can hold lots of weight.

- Switching to Visor-View.

[beeping]

For us to get across,

the bridge needs to hold a weight of tons,

but right now, the supports can only hold tons.

- We need to fix those holes in the supports.

[sniffing]

- [gasps] Blaze, A.J., over here.

[engines revving]

I found some pieces to make the bridge stronger.

- Good going, Stripes.

- Spark!

- To fix the first support,

we need a piece that'’s shaped like this.

Which of these pieces has the same shape?

That one. Yeah!

- Come on. Let'’s put it on the bridge.

[tires squealing]



Yah!

- Yeah!

- Perfect fit.

- Spark!

- Now the bridge can hold this much weight.

What number is that?

, yeah.

But for us to drive across, it has to hold the weight of .

- Spark.

- Let'’s look for a piece to fix the next support.

- The piece we need is shaped like this.

Which piece has the same shape?

That one, right.

[engine revving]

- I'’ll handle this.

- Sparky!

- Yeah!

- Good throw, Stripes.

- Now the bridge can hold this much weight.

What number it that?

, yeah.

We just need one more piece to fix that last support.

- Spark, spark.

- Help us find a piece that'’s shaped like this.

Which piece has the same shape?

That one, yeah.

[engine revving]

- Yah!

All right! - Sparky!

Now the bridge can hold a weight of .

It'’s safe for us to cross.

- Whoo-hoo! - Yippee!

- Spark, spark!

- Now, come on. Follow me.

- Sparky!

- Rah!

[upbeat music]

♪ Stretch of road

♪ Engineering

♪ It might be a bridge, a tower, a tunnel ♪

♪ That stands tall and doesn'’t break ♪

♪ You need it strong, solid, supportive ♪

♪ So it can hold a lot of weight ♪

- Hey! Look over there.

It'’s the volcano.

We'’re getting closer.

- Spark, spark!

- Come on, Sparky.

Let'’s get you home!

[engine revving]

[upbeat music]

Whoa! Check it out.

A humongous dam!

- The dam is holding back all that water

so this side stays dry.

- Come on, guys.

Let'’s drive across.

[engines revving]

- Yeah! - Whoo-hoo!



[water spraying]

[engine revving]

- Whoa!

[tires screeching]

[engine revving]

Look out!

- [gasps] - Uh-oh!

- Hold on, Sparky!

- Sparky!

- Yah!

[engine revving]

Tiger claws.

[engine revving]

- Sparky, spark-spark.

- Don'’t worry, Sparky. I'’ve got you!

- Oh, no!

Stripes and Sparky are in trouble.

- Lug nuts!

This dam is breaking,

and water is pouring through those cracks.

- Whoa-oh! - Sparky!

- This calls for structural engineering.

We need to fix those cracks

and make the dam strong again.

- Ooh! I know what we can use:

A concrete pump truck.

It can pump concrete into the cracks

to fill them up and stop the leaks.

- Great idea!

Let'’s turn me into a concrete pump truck.

[whooshing]

First, we need a really tall boom arm

to reach the cracks way up high.

To make the boom arm, say "boom arm."

Boom arm!

[mechanical humming]

Next, we need some piping for the concrete to flow through.

To make the piping, say "piping."

Piping!

[mechanical humming]

Awesome!

Now we just need a pump to push out the concrete.

To make the pump, say "pump."

Pump!

[mechanical humming]

Oh yeah!

I'’m a concrete pump monster machine!

- Uh-oh! The water'’s getting higher!

- Spark sparky.

- Hang on, Stripes!

We gonna fix that dam!

[engine revving]



Extending the boom arm.

[mechanical humming]

- Turning on the pump.

[motor revving]

- Time to plant some concrete.

[splattering]

- It'’s working, Blaze.

The concrete is hardening and fixing the cr*ck.

- Gaskets!

We'’ve got to hurry and fill the rest of these cracks,

or the whole dam will fall apart.

- I know!

Let'’s use blazing speed and fix this dam super fast.

[machinery thudding]

- To give me blazing speed, say "Let'’s blaze!"

both: Let'’s blaze!

- Yeah! - Whoo-hoo!

[splattering]

- Whoo-hoo-hoo!

- Yeah!

[tires screeching]

[splattering]

[engine revving]

- The dam is fixed.



- And look, the water'’s going down.

- Whoo-hoo!

We'’re saved, Sparky.

- Spark spark!



[tires screeching]

- Rawr! Whoo-hoo!

- Stripes. Sparky.

Oh, we'’re glad you two are okay.

- Aw. Sparky spark.

- Aw, you'’re welcome, Sparky.

Now come on.

Let'’s get you home.

- Sparky!

[tires screeching]



- [grunting] - ...

- [grunting] - ...

- [grunting] - !

- Whew!

- Gee, Crusher.

You sure are strong.

- [giggles]

Oh, yeah!

Now I'’m totally strong enough

to take that caterpillar'’s fruit.

- Uh, Crusher, no.

I'’m just not sure that you should...

- Hey! Little bug!

- Hello.

- Wait'’ll you see how strong I am now.

Give me...that...fruit...

- [yawns]

[engine revving]

- Uh-oh.

[yelling]

[springing tone]

- [squeaking]

[engines revving]



- Spark, spark, sparky!

- Look! Sparky'’s trying to fly again.

- Go, Sparky! - Yeah!

Keep it up!

- Sparky. - Whoa!

Sparky, you'’re going even higher than last time.

- Sparky!

- Yeah! - Whoo-hoo!

- All right!

- Way to go, Sparky.

- Spark!



- Whoa!

Check out all this hot lava.

- If we'’re gonna get to the volcano,

we'’ve got to find some way to get across.

- Ooh! I see a way!

[engine revving]

We can jump across the lava on these rock structures.

- That'’s a great idea, Stripes.

But we'’ll have to be careful.

Some of them aren'’t strong enough to hold our weight.

If we jump on the wrong structure...

- Whoo! - [squeaking]

- It'’ll fall.

- So then which ones are safe?

- Hmm.

There are two structures,

and both have supports holding them up.

- But to be safe, we need to jump on the structure

that has the biggest support.

Which one has the biggest support?

That one! Yeah!

- Hang on, Sparky.

We'’re gonna jump for it.

- Spark!

all: One, two, three, jump!

- Whoo-hoo! - Yeah!

- All right! - [squeaking]

- And look.

- Good thing we didn'’t jump there.

- Whew!

- Come on, let'’s choose where to jump next.

- These structures both have two supports.

- But to be safe, we need the structure that

has supports on both sides.

Which one has supports on both sides?

That one! Yeah!

- Rawr!

Let'’s jump!

[engines revving]

- Yeah!

- Whoo-hoo! - Sparky!

- Whew! We chose right again.

- Sparky! Spark spark.

- That'’s right, Sparky.

Just one more jump to go.

- Oh!

Those supports look pretty skinny.

- To hold up those heavy rocks,

we need the structure that has the most supports.

Which one has the most supports?

That one! Right!

It has three supports.

The other structure only has two.

Ready? Jump!

- Yahoo! - Whoo-hoo!

- All right!

- This way, everyone.

- Whoo-hoo! - Yeah!

We made it past the lava.

- And look, Sparky.

There'’s your home.

- Spark!

- Come on, little buddy.

Let'’s get you to the top of that volcano.

- Spark, spark!

[tires screeching]

[upbeat music]

- Sparky!

- Yeah! - Whoo-hoo!

- Whoo-hoo! - Hah-hah! Yeah!



- We'’re almost there, Sparky.

Just a little farther.



- Spark!

[crumbling]

- Hubcaps!

Look out! - Whoa!

Oh, no! The path is gone!

Now we can'’t drive Sparky up to his home.

- Oh. Spark, spark.

- Sparky.

- How'’s Sparky gonna get there now?



- Spark...

Spark...

Sparky!

- Hey, look.

Sparky'’s flapping his wings.

He'’s gonna try to fly home all by himself.

- Spark, spark, spark.

- That'’s it, Sparky!

Flap those wings,

just like you practiced.

- Spark...spark...

Spark, spark.

[all chanting] Sparky, Sparky, Sparky...

- Spark...spark...

Sparky!

- Yeah! - Whoo-hoo!

- He'’s flying!

- Whoo!

- Way to go, Sparky!

- We knew you could do it.



- Wah-hoo!

all: Sparky, Sparky!

- All right! He made it!

- Spark!

- Sparky'’s finally back with his family.

- Spark, sparky.

all: Spark, spark.

- Hee-hee!

Spark...spark...

Sparky!

- Whoa! - Yeah!

- Go, Sparky!



- [snoring]

- This is it, Pickle.

I finally figured out how to get that fruit.

- Hmm. Let me guess.

You'’re gonna ask the nice caterpillar

if he wants to share?

- Nope.

I'’m gonna be super sneaky

and take it while he'’s sleeping.

[giggles]

[mischievous music]



[tires screeching]

♪ I got the fruit

♪ Now I'’m gonna eat it ♪

♪ I got the fruit

♪ Now I'’m gonna... ♪

go backwards?

Wait, why am I going backwards?

- Hello.

- Oh, it'’s just you little caterpillar.

[giggles]

Little caterpillar?

[yelling]

[springing tone]

[upbeat music]



- [chomping]

[squeaks]
