I'’m Speedrick,

the number-one fastest race car in this town.

So everyone else had better put on the brakes

and leave the speed to me.

[laughing evilly]

- Aw, I guess that means we have to slow down.

- This stinks. I like going fast.

- Me too. It'’s just not fair.

- Hey, you don'’t have to let that guy boss you around.

It'’s not up to him who gets to go fast.

You'’re race cars!

You should all get to go as fast as you want.

- Yeah! - Blaze is right.

- No one'’s gonna stop us from going fast.

[tires grinding]

Then I'’ll be the only one who gets to go fast.

Speedrick'’s putting traps in the road.

- Ah! Whoa! Oh! Oh, boy! Ee!

[tires squealing]

[metal clanging] - Hey, what?

- Oh, no! - We have to help them!

[engine revving]

- [grunts] I can'’t pull them off.

[grunts] What are these things?

- They'’re tire locks.

- And then only way to get them off is to unlock them

with a key.

- The key must be around here somewhere.

- Help us look for it.

Where do you see a key?

There it is!

You mean this?

[laughing evilly]

- Oh, no! - He'’s getting away.

- Don'’t worry, everyone.

We'’ll get that key. - After him!

[tires squealing]

- Look, there he goes!

- Speed up, Blaze!

- Lug nuts!

I'’m trying to go faster, but...

it feels like something is slowing me down.

- Uh-oh. It'’s the air around us.

The air is slowing us down when we try to push through it.

- Oh, the air'’s slowing you down?

[laughing]

Well, it'’s not a problem for me!

- Look, the air is going around Speedrick.

He doesn'’t have to push as hard.

- [grunting]

- Aww.

Can'’t go as fast as me, Blaze?

What a drag!

[laughing]

- I don'’t believe it.

Speedrick got away.

- Aww, I'’m sorry, Blaze. You tried your best.

- Well, I'’m not giving up.

I'’m gonna catch up with Speedrick and get that key.

I'’m gonna be...aerodynamic!

[energy humming]

If something is aerodynamic,

it can move through the air easily.

See, when I speed up, I have to push really hard

to move through the air.

That'’s because a truck shape is not very aerodynamic.

But what if we change my shape to be more like a race car?

We could make my wheels smaller,

and the front part rounder,

then make the back nice and smooth.

- Whoa!

All the air goes right around this shape.

It'’s aerodynamic.

- Come on.

Let'’s change me into an aerodynamic race car.

To turn me into a race car, say, "Race car!"

[tires squealing]

sounds like someone'’s catching up.

Oh, but that'’s impossible.

No one is fast enough to catch up with me.

[engine revs]

[stammering] It'’s the Blaze guy!

[gasping]

Since when is he a race car?

Well, if Blaze thinks he can get the key,

he had better think again.

[engine revs]

Ah-ha! This should stop him.

Blaze can'’t catch me if he can'’t get in.

[laughing evilly]

- Gaskets! The lion cave is closing up.

- We can make it, Blaze. You'’re a race car.

- We'’ve only got eight seconds to get inside.

Count down from eight with us.

- We made it.

[engine revs]

- There'’s Speedrick.

He'’s headed into that rhino cave.

- [laughing evilly]

- Uh-oh! He'’s closing that cave too.

- Quick, we only have six seconds to get in.

- Nice going, Blaze.

- Ah! They made it again?

Well, then I'’ll just make this cave close super fast.

- Yikes, Blaze! It'’s almost closed.

- We only have four seconds.

- We did it! - Nice going, Blaze.

You'’re one fast race car.

- And we'’ll need all the speed we can get

if we'’re gonna catch up with Speedrick.

- Yeah!

Our friends are counting on us to get that key.

[engine revs]

- Oh, key, as long as I have you,

I get to be the fastest race car ever.

I'’m so happy, I could kiss you.

So that'’s what I'’m gonna do.

[smooching loudly]

[musical car horn honking]

Oh! It'’s that Blaze guy again!

Doesn'’t he ever give up?

[engine revs]

I have got to stop him.

[tires squealing]

[gasps]

A drawbridge?

[chuckling]

This is just too perfect.

[tires squealing]

I don'’t see how anyone could get past this.

[bell dings]

- Whoa! Hit the brakes!

[tires squealing]

Phew! That was a little too close.

- Oh, man.

How are we gonna get across this?

- [laughing] You can'’t.

- It'’s Speedrick!

- The only button to raise this bridge

is all the way over here.

you'’re stuck over there.

[laughing evilly] So boo-hoo for you, Blaze.

[tires squealing]

- If Speedrick thinks this is going to stop us,

he'’d better think again.

Hmm...

I just need something I can throw.

Something like...

this rock.

- All right!

The air is slowing the rock down.

That rock didn'’t make it because it wasn'’t aerodynamic enough.

The only way I'’m gonna hit that button

is by throwing something really aerodynamic.

- Hey, Blaze, check this out.

I found two more rocks.

- Good going, A.J.

I wonder if one of these rocks

is aerodynamic enough to make it.

- Try it, Blaze.

Give them a throw.

- Check out how the rocks move through the air.

Which rock is more aerodynamic?

That curved rock, yeah!

The air is slowing down the other rock with flat sides,

but the air goes around this rock

because it has a smooth, aerodynamic shape.

[bell dings] Got it!

Yeah! - Way to go, Blaze.

The bridge is going back together.

- Come on, A.J.

Time to catch up with Speedrick and get that key back

once and for all.

- Yeah!

[engine revs] [tires squealing]

Look! There'’s Speedrick.

He'’s headed towards that mountain.

- That'’s no mountain. It'’s a volcano.

- [laughing] Uphill!

- We'’d better get that key back before he gets to the top.

A.J., give me some speed.

[engine revs]

Hello, Speedrick.

- Ah! You'’re back.

This cannot be happening. [engine revs]

- We'’re coming for that key, Speedrick.

[tires squealing] - Oh, yeah?

Well, you'’ll never get it, '’cause I'’m too fast for you.

Remember?

- You may have beaten me once,

but you won'’t b*at me this time,

'’cause now, I'’m aerodynamic.

Time to hand over the key.

And it'’s headed for the lava.

- There'’s only one way to grab it in time.

We need blazing speed.

[machinery whirring and clanking]

- Now we just have to get this key back to our friends.

[helicopter blades whirring] - Yahoo!

- Swoops!

- Hey, you two heroes.

I thought you might need a ride.

[groans]

- Next stop, VelocityVille.

[all cheering]

- Oh, Blaze, you gotta get me out of this thing.

- Okay, but you have to promise

you'’ll never try to stop anybody from going fast ever again.

- Oh, I promise.

From now on, everyone gets to go as fast as they want

whenever they want.
