- Hi, I'm Calvin.

Welcome to Mutt & Stuff.

Morning, Zippy. [barks]

[laughs] Zippy's excited

because today we're going camping

with my cousin Marco.

[laughs]

Oh. - Morning, cousin Calvin.

- Hey, Marco.

- Hi, Zippy. I'm all packed

and ready to go camping.

- Wow, that backpack is packed.

- You can never be too prepared

- Whoa! - Oh.

- Oh.

Ah.

Thanks, Calvin.

Okay, Zippy. Let's go start school.

Come on! - Whoa!

Okay, Zippy.

Now we can start school. Come on.

[bell dings] - [laughs]

Pack it up and get ready

to hit the camping trail.

Let's go hiking! [struggling]

Or maybe not. [laughs]

scout scarf, Stuff. - Ooh, thanks, Calvin.

I brought one for you, too. - Oh, really?

- Try it on.

I especially liked the part that went

woof, woof, woof, woof, woof.

- That was great. Okay, Noodles.

How about you? - Oh. [chuckles]

Thanks, Calvin. I've got

a really spooky story.

It's called... "The Legend of Stumping Paw".

[whines]

A long time ago,

on a night just like this,

in a campsite just like this,

the dogs were camping in a dog school.

Just like we are.

- [whines] - The forest grew very dark.

Then suddenly they heard a noise.

Bump thump.

Bump thump!

Bump thump!

[whines]

The noise came from a creature.

He was part chipmunk, part something fuzzy.

And his name... - [whimpers]

- Was Stumping Paw!

- Ahh, is "bump thump" the noise

Stumping Paw makes when he's eating cereal?

- No.

It was the noise that he made

when he creeped through the forest.

That's how you know he was coming, you see.

Bump thump, bump thump, bump thump!

- Ahh!

- The end.

- Whoa. - That was a scary story,

huh, Grumbles? [whines]

- Fun story, Noodles.

Okay, who wants to go next?

Marco. - Uh, I think me and Grumbles

are just going to take a little break.

- Hmm. I think I better go check on Grumbles and Marco.

- Oh, great, then I can tell my story again.

Bump thump, bump thump, bump thump!

[whines]

[growls]

- Hey, guys. You okay in here?

- Oh, yeah. We're fine.

No problem.

Okay, maybe we have a little problem.

Noodles' story kind of scared us.

- Well, it's okay to be scared.

But "Stomping Paw" was just a story Noodles made up.

So you guys want to come join us?

- I think we'll just stay in the tent

for the rest of the camping trip.

Don't worry, we'll be fine.

- I got to figure out how to get

Marco and Grumbles out of the tent.

- No way, too scared!

- Then I better think of something fast.

- Hey, Davenport. Davenport!

- [blubbering] Oh, hey, Zoe.

- Did you catch that mouse yet?

- Why, yes, I did.

He's right here. - Ah.

- [laughs] - Hey, what's that string for?

- Hmm? I don't know.

[both yell, crashing]

- Ah, somebody played a joke on us.

- [laughs] That was funny.

- The puppies are having a campout too.

- Hey, Calvin. - Hey, Noodles.

I think your Stomping Paw story

might have scared Marco and grumbles.

- Calvin, that story was just pretend.

- [sighs] I think it'd be better

if you told them that.

- Oh, yeah. Um, should I also

tell them the part that goes

"Bump thump, bump thump, bump thump"?

- Mm, maybe not that part. - [laughs] Yeah, you're right.

Uh, Marco?

Grumbles?

Well, just wanted to say

I'm sorry if my story scared you.

And it was just pretend.

- Thanks for telling us, but we still can't stop

thinking about the story.

How about you, Grumbles?

[growls, barks]

I agree.

We're just going to stay in the tent.

- Okay.

Calvin! I tried!

It's no go!

- Hey, Junior Shades.

I hear you set up your own tent.

I bet it's paw-some!

[rim sh*t] [laughs]

Paw-some! [stammers, sighs]

You are so cool.

- Hey, guys. - Ooh.

- Marco and Grumbles are still feeling scared.

Any ideas to make them feel better?

- Uh, I know a fun activity.

- Oh. - We can do bird calls.

Here, bird! Birdy!

Cacaw! Cacaw! Cacaw!

[whines]

- Actually, Stuff, you're onto something.

- Heh, yeah I am.

Uh, what am I onto?

- We need to find a way for Marco and Grumbles

to stop thinking about Noodles' story.

- Mm. - Let's try the activity wheel.

- Yeah!
