[barks]

- ♪ Bark along and put your paws up ♪

♪ Pets can't seem to get enough of ♪

♪ Calvin and his pups ♪

- [humming] Oh, hey, Zippy.

Could you please pull the lever

so Calvin can drive in?

He's gonna tell us about a surprise guest today.

- [barks]

- Oh, you want to finish your puzzle first. Okay.

Well, um, how long is that gonna take?

- [barks]

[playful music]

- Whoa!

Huh. Whoa, Zippy.

That was super-fast.

[dogs barking]

[exciting music]

Ooh.

- Hi, I'm Calvin.

Welcome to Mutt & Stuff.

- Calvin, when do we find out

who our surprise guest is?

- Well, here's a hint. [bell dings]

- Groom-a-zoom-zoom, everybody.

- Oh, boy!

I know who grooms and zooms.

[laughs]

Gabi Groomer!

So, you're our special guest.

- Well, not just me.

Introducing my dog,

Pizzazz!

- [laughs]

So, Pizzazz is also our special guest?

- Well, not just me and Pizzazz.

Introducing my brother...

- Sergio Style.

I can style any dog in a flash.

Style, style, and...

smile.

both: Ooooh. You're good.

- Calvin, I need your help.

I want to throw a surprise birthday party

for my dog Pizzazz.

- Make that our dog.

- Right. Our dog.

[gasps] Oh, do you think we can

throw the surprise birthday party here?

She loves Mutt & Stuff.

- Of course.

I'll play with Pizzazz while you guys plan the party.

And all the dogs can help you.

- Aw, thanks, Calvin.

- Let's...

let's plan the surprise birthday party with

style, style, and a surprise smile.

[laughter]

- Whee! - This is going to be the most

groom-a-zoom-zoomy birthday party ever.

- Yeah. - With the royal red carpet

right down the middle of Mutt & Stuff.

- A royal red carpet?

Don't you mean Wild West wagons and horses?

- What?

Why would there be wagons and horses?

- Well, so me and the doggies can be cowboys

and walk like this.

- Ooh. - Howdy, partner.

- I think you're confused.

We're having a princess party for Pizzazz.

And we're gonna dress up and walk around like this.

Hello, good sir.

I'm princess Gabi.

All hail... me.

- I beg to differ, ma'am.

This here's gon' be a cowboy party.

- Uh, a princess party.

- A cowboy party. - A princess party.

- Uh, cowboy. - Princesses.

- I think they need more time

to figure out what kind of birthday party

they want to have for Pizzazz.

- [whimpering]

- A cowboy party. - Princesses.

- Cowboy. - Princesses.

- Cowboy. - Princesses--

- Come on, guys.

Let's hang out in my doghouse

while they make up their minds.

[chuckles]

- A cowboy party. - Princesses.

- Ugh, okay. While they decide

what kind of party to have,

let's watch our favorite show.

- Presenting squirrels, squirrels, and more squirrels.

- [chortling] So many squirrels!

- We've got squirrels in trees,

squirrels on grass,

squirrels right in your backyard...

- I love it so much!

[chortling]

Ooh, squirrels! Whoo-hoo!

Junior Shades, what's your favorite part?

- [yips]

- Me, too.

I love when squirrels run at trees.

[chuckles]

- Squirrels here, squirrels there.

- [laughs]

- Squirrels are everywhere.

- Oh, boy.

Is there anyplace squirrels can't go?

[laughs] - [barks]

Yeah, I guess you're right, Pixie.

Squirrels can't go to the moon.

Yet. [chuckles]

- Groom-a-zoom-zoom! Anybody home?

- Yeah, sure, Gabi. We'll be right there...

after more squirrels!

Whee!

- While the dogs help Gabi and Sergio

prepare for the surprise party,

I'm gonna read Pizzazz her favorite book.

- Once upon a time,

there were three doggies:

a mommy dog, a daddy dog,

and an itty-bitty, little baby puppy.

They all lived in their favorite little doghouse.

But then, one day,

Goldie Dog came to their doghouse

and ate all their kibble.

The end.

- [barks]

- [chuckles] I know.

Good story, right?

- Okay, we need some advice from dogs.

- Oh, advice from dogs.

Oh! Oh, yeah! We're dogs!

- Good, because we need you to tell us what kind

of party Pizzazz should have.

- I think she'd like a cowboy party.

[muttering]

Bah! Yee-haw!

Cowdoggy Rocket rides again.

Style, style, and a cowboy smile.

- Wow, Rocket looks great.

[h*nky-tonk music]

I think a cowboy party would be fun, right, guys?

[dogs barking]

- Yeah. - Wait, wait, wait.

Before you decide,

check this out.

Ta-da!

It's Princess Pearl from the land of Mutt & Stuff.

- [gasps] Pearl looks amazing, too!

[gentle music]

Ooh, a princess party sounds like fun.

What say ye?

[dogs barking]

I agree. It is gonna be really hard

to choose a winner.

- But doggy princesses can wear rhinestone collars.

- And cowboy doggies can wear cute cowboy boots.

- Sparkly shoes. - Sheriff badges.

- Fluffy dresses. - Vests.

- Tiaras. - Cowboy boots.

- Glitter!

- Uh, their voices are getting kinda loud.

You guys want to go back to my doghouse?

[dogs barking] - Sparkly shoes...

- Yeah, me too. Come on.

- Dresses. - Vests.

- Hay bales! We could have hay bales!

- A prince. - Spurs.

- A castle. - Cowboy hats.

- A knight in shining armor.

- Belt buckles. - Tiaras.

- Vests. - Glitter.

- Cowboy hats. - A castle.

- Spurs. - Um, a knight in shining armor.

- Hey, hey, Marty. - Yeah, Sid?

- Gabi and Sergio can't decide

what kind of a party to have.

- Oh, I know. It sounds like quite an argument.

- Yeah. It's a good thing we never argue.

- Yes, we do. - No, we don't.

- Yes, we do. - No, we don't!

- No, we don't. - Yes, we do!

- Ha! Gotcha.

- D'oh. - [laughs]

- Sparkly shoes. - Sheriff badges.

- Fluffy dresses. - Hey, Davenport.

- [blathering]

Oh, hey there, Zoe. - Gabi and Sergio sure are loud.

- What?! - Gahhh!

[laughter]

[thump]

- I'm okay. - Meow too.

- I'm still keeping Pizzazz busy

while Gabi and Sergio prepare for the surprise party.

Okay, and who doesn't love dominoes?

Or should I say dog-inoes?

Okay, Pizzazz, I just need a couple more pieces.

Oh, no.

Hmm.

I guess the wind must have knocked them down.

Mm, although...

there isn't much wind out here.

Okay, I'll just try again.

[playful music]

Okay, perfect.

Just need a couple more pieces.

You're keeping an eye on these, right?

- [barks]

Just one--aww.

Again? Pizzazz, did you see who knocked them down?

- [barks]

Hmm. Strange.

Okay, guess we'll just do it again.

- [barks]

You sure are fun to play with, Pizzazz.

- Calvin, I need your help.

Sergio doesn't want to have a princess party.

- That's because a cowboy party would be so much better.

- Hmm.

I know who can help you decide.

Grandma can tell us whether the puppies would rather have

a princess or a cowboy party.

Well, what do you think, Grandma?

- [barks]

- Oh, she said we should see for ourselves.

- Looks like the puppies like princess and cowboy parties.

[gasps] Oh, hey, Calvin.

Hiya, Sonny. - Hi, Melvin.

- Say, you guys want to hear a joke?

- Actually, Melvin, we need your advice.

Gabi and Sergio are having an argument.

- Hmm. - So, do you think

their dog Pizzazz would rather have a...

cowboy party...

- Hmm.

A princess party?

- Hmm.

Oh, I know.

I bet he'd rather have a pirate party.

- [chuckles]

- But I didn't say pirate party.

- Yeah, but you did say that Gabi and Sergio

were having an arrr-gument.

[laughter]

- Arrr-gument. Melvin, now that's funny.

- Cowboys. - Princesses.

[sighs] There's got to be someone around here

who can help us decide.

Pizzazz's party starts really soon.

- I can help.

[both gasp]

- Hi, Noodles.

- Hi. - This is my brother,

Sergio Style.

- Ah, hi, Sergio.

It's mice to meet you.

- It's mice to meet you too. - [chuckles]

- Noodles, don't you think

a doggy princess party sounds great?

- Oh, that sounds like a lot of fun.

- But doesn't a cowboy party sound better?

- That sounds like fun, too. - Princesses rock.

- That's true. - Cowboys rule.

- Agreed.

- Princesses. - Cowboys.

both: What?

- Pulling this rope.

[horn blares]

[laughter]

- You're right. That did rock.

arguing about the party again?

They're so loud, right? - [barks]

- Ugh, yeah. I don't like it either.

You guys just want to stay in my doghouse for a bit?

[dogs barking]

- Okay, me too.

- Sergio, it's time to start decorating for Pizzazz's party.

Ooh, let's make balloon animals.

- Oh, balloons. I love balloons!

Okay, um, you guys want to try helping one more time?

[dogs barking]

Okay, great. Let's go.

[chuckles]

- What you working on over there?

- Oh, you'll see.

[quirky music]

Behold.

Princess Gabi.

- Well, yippee-cowboy-ay.

[laughs]

- Wow, you guys are good.

[laughter]

- How about you show me what you've got?

- A castle,

fit for the fairest princesses. And no cowboys.

- [scoffs] Well, no cowboy would ever want

to stay at your castle when they can ride this horse instead.

Neigh. - Whoa.

- Wow, that is a really cool horse.

One second, partner.

Aha! An even bigger castle.

- Okay, we're going bigger, eh?

♪ ♪

Neigh to the max.

Neigh!

- Oh, yeah?

- Yeah.

- Groom-a-zoom-zoom.

- Style, style, and smile.

- Groom-a-zoom-zoom.

- Style, style, and smile.

[dogs whimpering]

- Ugh, all right. Too much yelling here.

Come on, guys. Back to my doghouse.

- Groom-a-zoom-zoom. - Style, style, and smile.

- Where are Stuff and the dogs?

Thought they were supposed to be helping.

Hmm. I'd better go find them,

or else the surprise party might not happen.

- Hey, Davenport.

Davenport. - Yes, Zoe?

- [blathering] You're inflatable!

- [chuckles] Have you met the new balloon me?

He's even more pop-ular than I am.

[laughter]

[thump]

- I'm okay. - Meow too.

- I need to find Stuff and the dogs.

They're supposed to help Gabi and Sergio plan for...

the surprise party for Pizzazz.

[balloon squeaks]

I think I found them.

Well, Pizzazz,

do you mind playing without me for a little while?

- [barks] - Thanks.

I'll be right back.

Hey, guys.

Why are you in here instead of helping

Gabi and Sergio?

- [sighs wearily]

We don't want to be around them right now.

- What? But Gabi and Sergio are so nice.

- Well, yeah, but they're not nice together.

We feel more comfortable inside my doghouse

where it's quiet.

Right, guys?

[dogs barking]

- Oh, okay.

I'll go check things out.

I better find out what's happening

before the party's ruined.

Gabi! Sergio!

Where are you guys?

both: Surprise, Pizzazz!

- Where's Pizzazz? - And all the dogs?

You probably scared them away with all your princesses.

- Uh, it was the cowboys.

No dog wants to go to a cowboy party.

- You mean princess party.

- Nobody likes cowboys.

- Nobody likes princesses.

- Why would a dog want to wear a cowboy hat?

- Why would they want to wear a tiara?

- Because they're sparkly. - I see what's going on.

- Cowboy hats are awesome.

- Guys, can I talk to you for a minute?

- I think Sergio ruined Pizzazz's party.

- It was her. - It was both of you.

Dogs don't like it when we raise our voices and argue.

- Oh.

I never knew that.

- Yeah, dogs can be really sensitive to how we're feeling.

- I guess we have been pretty loud.

- I feel terrible.

We just wanted to make Pizzazz happy.

- Do you think the other dogs would forgive us?

- Well, there's only one way to find out.

Calling all dogs!

Time for a group nose-to-nose!

Come on.

Hey, guys, Gabi and Sergio have something they want to say.

- We're really sorry we raised our voices

and argued with each other.

- We didn't realize how much it was bothering you.

- Yeah, we didn't like it.

- Well, from now on,

we promise not to fight and to be more calm.

Oh, and quiet.

- Except when we yell surprise.

That's still gonna be loud. - Oh, are there still gonna be

surprise birthday balloons?

- Cowboy balloons.

Like my brother wants.

- And princess balloons,

like my sister wants. - [chuckles]

- From now on, we're gonna do this birthday party

family-style,

with princess and cowboys

and lots and lots of fun.

- Great. I'll go grab Pizzazz.

The party's still on!

Yes!

- Yay!

- Hmm, I wonder why it's so dark in here, Pizzazz.

all: Surprise!

[dogs barking]

- Whoo!

- ♪ Cowboys stand proud ♪

- ♪ But the dogs didn't like ♪
