Today, the dogs are racing in the most fun car race ever.

The Cannondog Run!

- Whoo-hoo!

Is The Cannondog Run a race around Mutt & Stuff?

- No, Noodles, it's a race around the world!

- The world?

Well, that's even bigger than Mutt & Stuff.

- It sure is, Stuff. Way bigger!

I'll show you a video of last year's Cannondog Run winner,

Norman the Dog. - Wow!

- [chuckles] Oof!

- Norman the Dog is the best dog racer in the world.

- Ooh! - Let's check him out.

- Yeah.

Wow! Norman's faster than a dog chasing a bone.

- Oh, yeah! He put the zoom

in zoom-a-zoom-vroom!

- Hey, Noodles, are you racing

in The Cannondog Run this year, too?

- What? Are you cheesing me?

I can't b*at Norman!

- Actually, Norman's not racing this year,

but superstar racer Tommy Tortuga is.

- [gasps] Tommy Tortuga?

The Tommy Tortuga?

Who's Tommy Tortuga?

- Yeah. - Well,

you can meet him right now.

Here he comes! - Huh?

- [gasps]

So where's this super-fast Tommy Tortuga?

Is he behind that unbelievably slow tortoise?

The tortoise is Tommy!

with both legs and my tail tied behind my back.

- Oh, so you're gonna race?

Stuff, Zippy, Giggle, Wiggle,

Rocket, and Cowboy are racing, too.

- The Cannondog Run is shaping up to be

a very interesting race.

- The dogs are almost ready for the race.

Okay, guys. Are you ready for a big surprise?

- You bet! I love surprises!

Especially when they're surprising.

[chuckles] - Ka-blam!

- Whoa!

[dogs barking]

It's the race cars we're gonna drive

in The Cannondog Run!

And I have a race scooter!

[brakes screech] - Screech!

Don't forget about me!

- So Noodles, are you ready?

- You bet I am!

[imitates engine roaring]

[chuckles] So shall we meet

the rest of the racers?

Where's this Tommy Tortuga guy?

- Calling all dogs!

Get those tails a-waggin' for the turbo tortoise himself.

Say shalom to Tommy Tortuga!

[drawling music]

- Tommy sure is-- - Taking his time?

- I was gonna say ready to race, but--

- Oh. - Maybe I should give him

a helping hand.

Or should I say, shellping hand?

- [chuckles] - [laughs]

- Shellping.

- There you go, Tommy.

Right next to Noodles.

- Uh.

Where's Tommy's car?

- Tommy isn't using a car.

He just walks.

- He doesn't have a car?

There is no way I'm gonna lose this race!

Break out the victory cheese!

[laughs]

- Noodles is acting like he already won,

and the race hasn't even started.

[jazzy music]

- Hey, Davenport.

Davenport! - [barks]

[squeals]

Oh, hi, Zoe.

- Do you ever do anything slow?

- [laughs]

[drawling sting]

[slowly together] Ah!

- [drawling] Meow too.

- Welcome back to the start of The Cannondog Run!

Looks like today's gonna be a ruff race...

[chuckles] Mostly because we've got

a bunch of barking dogs racing.

- Whoo-hoo! [dogs barking]

- And our superstar racer,

Tommy Tortuga is fired up and ready to race.

Here's Noodles, the fastest mouse at Mutt & Stuff!

- That's right.

And the mouse that's gonna win

The Cannondog Run.

[chuckles] Oh, yeah!

- And they're all racing for

The Cannondog Run trophy!

- Ooh! - Oh, sorry, guys.

I can't seem to find my starter's flag.

- What?

- Can't start the race without a starter's flag!

- Flags here!

I've got flags that wave,

flags that flutter, and flags that start races.

- Johnny in Charge!

You're in charge of the amusement park,

the mini-golf course, and you sell flags?

- You bet your stars and stripes I do.

- Oh, say can you see a starter's flag in there?

I lost mine. - Hmm.

Huh. On your mark.

Get set.

Looks like some of the racers

are off a little slower than others.

The Cannondog Run will take our racers all around the globe.

Let's check the map to see how they're doing!

I'm going so fast.

I'm gonna win the race.

- Looks like Noodles is in the lead.

But Zippy is barking into second.

♪ ♪

And here comes Cowboy!

- Cheese here! We've got cheese here!

Hot cheese, cold cheese, old cheese, mold cheese.

All the kinds of cheeses you want!

- What? [brakes screech]

- Cheese for sale!

- A cheese stand?

I love cheese!

Johnny in Charge?

You sell cheese, too?

- You bet your cheddar I do!

I've got sliced cheese, diced cheese, and best of all,

mice cheese!

- Whoa!

Sweet dreams are made of cheese.

- Who am I to disagree?

[whimsical music]

Say, wait a minute, Noodles.

I thought you were racing in The Cannondog Run today?

- Yup. Sure am, Johnny.

But I'm way faster than those dogs!

[engines whirring] - Whoo-hoo! Coming through!

- Are you sure about that, Noodles?

- Sure I'm sure that I'm sure.

Now I will take your stringy string cheese, my good man.

- Noodles, you might want to turn around.

- Why? Is there even more cheese behind me?

[laughing]

[gasps] Ah!

Oh. I gotta get back in this race!

with slow and steady Tommy Tortuga,

bringing up the rear as they race

to the second checkpoint.

[engines roaring]

Huh? Oh.

I thought somebody had passed me.

♪ ♪

[engine whirring] - Zoom, zoom!

- Feel those gentle breezes!

♪ ♪

- Okay. Now that time, I know someone passed me.

I'd better hurry up!

Here comes Tommy Tortuga,

zooming into the second checkpoint!

He's in it to win it.

[drawling music]

Now, let's check on the other racers.

[exciting music]

Looks like Giggle and Wiggle made a wrong turn.

[whimsical music]

Talk about doggy double vision.

[chuckles]

Oh, no!

Rocket's lost a wheel.

I'd better call the Auto Pup Club

to help him out.

- [barks]

- That means there's only Stuff, Noodles, Cowboy, Zippy,

and Tommy left in the race.

- Welcome to alphabet-y confetti!

If you want confetti to drop, we're the only place to shop.

- What?

Johnny in Charge?

You sell confetti, too?

- [chuckles] You betty I sell confetti!

If you've got a confetti need,

Johnny in Charge is at your bark and call.

Or in your case, squeak and call.

- [chuckles] - But Noodles,

should you really be shopping for confetti?

You are in a race.

- There is no way I'm gonna lose that race.

Those dogs drive like they got two left feet.

It's been a wacky race around the world,

so let's get an update and see how our racers are doing.

Here comes Noodles with Stuff right behind him!

- [chuckles] I haven't stopped for fuel

this whole time! [chuckling]

Whee!

♪ ♪

[overlapping chatter]

- Noodles is in the lead by a whisker!

And Stuff is yellow hot in second place!

And in third, the tornado tortoise himself,

Tommy Tortuga!

[drawling music]

But where in the world are Zippy and Cowboy?

This is a race, not a chase.

They better catch up!

[playful music]

- [barks]

- Oh, no. Cowboy's out of gas.

Guess the pooch is gonna have to fetch some more.

[dogs barking] Hmm?

♪ ♪

Oh, no!

Looks like Zippy took a wrong turn

and ended up on the Moon!

That's one small step for dog,

one giant leap for dog-kind.

With Zippy and Cowboy out of the race,

there's only Noodles, Stuff, and Tommy Tortuga left!

I better get back to the finish line!

Who's gonna win The Cannondog Run

is anyone's guess.

- Well, there's Tommy again.

I thought I lapped him, like, two times.

That's crazy.

How'd he get so far ahead?

Whoo-hoo!

Yeah!

♪ ♪

- We're here at the end of The Cannondog Run,

where only one lucky racer can be the winner!

And it looks like...

Tommy Tortuga's in first place!

♪ ♪

But Noodles is right behind him.

This is gonna be a close one.

And Tommy does it!

- Oh, no!

Tommy won!

♪ ♪

- And Tommy wins by a shell!

b*at everyone and win, you kept goofing off.

- Yeah.

I should've tried as hard as Tommy did.

[chuckles]
