♪ Max and Ruby

(Winston imitating race car)

Can Rabbit Racer drive the fastest lap ever?

Yes!

(Imitating car sounds)

Look out, Red Rubber Elephant!

(Imitating car noises)

Rabbit Racer Max wins!

What a jump!

I have an idea!

What's that?

Ready for the big Rabbit Racer jump?

Cool!

Do you know what would be even better

than one big Rabbit Racer jump?

Two big Rabbit Racer jumps!

One...

Two...

Three! Three!

Yay! Yay!

A bell is an important safety feature because...

It lets people know you are passing.

Yes!

Wow, you really studied

the Bunny Scout Bicycle Safety Booklet, Ruby.

Backward and forward.

I want to get my bicycle safety badge on my first try!

Me too.

But I only learned it forward.

Hm, I better keep practicing.

Let's get rolling!

We're going to ride our bikes, Max.

See you later.

Drive safely.

Bye!

Again!

What a crash!

The drivers are safe!

Here come the fire trucks!

(Imitating siren)

In order to ride safely you need the right safety gear.

Bicycle Helmet?

Check!

Reflective vest?

Check!

Next we need to check our bikes.

Tires? Check!

(Bell ringing)

Bell? Check!

Brakes, pedals, chain?

Check! Check! Check!

(Gasping)

And don't forget handlebar streamers.

Wheel clackers and spinny twirlers!

(Giggling)

Check!

Now, lets practice hand signals.

What do you think?

Nice!

Check this out.

Whoa!

(Imitating engine revving)

Max, wouldn't it be great to be a real 'Rabbit Racer'?

With a real...

Race car!

Max, we could totally build one.

Imagine your own wheels!

Yeah!

First, we need a plan.

Okay, you draw.

Ready!

What shape do you want the rabbit racer to be?

Hm.

Rabbit racer shape!

Okay.

There. Doors?

No doors!

But how 'bout sporty mirrors?

What next?

Big racing wheels!

Yeah, racing wheels!

Now the most important part.

What's that?

The picture on the side of the car.

Yeah. How 'bout racing flags?

Hmmm. I know!

What is it? Let me see!

Ta-da!

A lightning flash!

Yes!

Way to go, Max!

Thanks.

Right turn.

Left turn.

Slow down and stop.

Got it.

Right...

Left...

Slow down...

And stop.

A plus!

Let's go for a bike ride!

Look, there's Max and Winston.

What are you doing, Max?

We're building a race car.

See.

Oooooh.

This looks pretty neat.

But what are you going to use for wheels?

You won't go very far in a race car without wheels.

But I'm sure you'll think of something.

(Squeaking)

You're squeaking!

I am?

(Giggling) Not you, your bicycle.

(Squeaking)

I think it's the front wheel.

A drop of bicycle oil will fix it.

I have some in the garden shed.

(Gasping)

Stop, Max!

Wheels!

You'll have to find wheels someplace else, Max.

You can't use my doll stroller.

(Sighing) Okay.

(Humming)

Too bad about the wheels.

There.

No more squeak!

Time to hit the bike trail.

Wait!

We forgot to fill our water bottles.

It's not good, or safe, to ride thirsty.

Slow down, Max!

Wheels!

(Clattering)

That stuff belongs in the kitchen.

Besides, racer wheels need to match!

Oh, Max. (Giggling)

Still no wheels?

Not yet. But let's build!

Okay!

Have a good time building your racer.

Can we run through the Safety Booklet one more time, Ruby?

Just to be safe.

Sure! It's in the kitchen.

Paint job! Paint job!

Whoa!

The racer looks great but we still need--

Wheels!

The bigger the better!

RUBY: Don't even think about it, Max!

Still having trouble finding wheels?

(Sighing)

Yes.

I have an idea.

There, Max! Now your racer has wheels.

Speaking of wheels!

I'm ready for our bike ride.

Okay.

They aren't so bad.

Why not hop in and give it a go!

(Rattling)

Garbage can racer.

I hear you.

It's not the same as a real racer with real wheels.

Nothing beats having your own wheels!

(Imitating car engine)

Woo-hoo!

Hello, boys.

What a great ride.

Wait right there!

Haha, you're going to love this!
