races we've ever done!

We have to race through a jungle,

and cross a long bridge,

to a finish line on a faraway island.

An island surrounded

by bubbling, hot lava!

It's The Race to Lava Island!

[crowd cheering]

[honking] - Move aside, coming through!

- Oh hey, Crusher!

Looks like we're both

racing to Lava Island.

- Please! You'll never b*at me to Lava Island!

But, I'd lava to see you try!

[laughing] See you try!

- Racers: on your marks...

[engines revving]

Get Set...

- Let's tell Blaze

when it's time to start!

When the light turns green,

say, "Go!"

[motors roaring]

This oil's too slippery!

- We've gotta help Blaze

use his Power Tires, so they don't slip.

- Yeah! We need to give his tires traction!

Traction is how well a tire

grabs the road without slipping.

Right now, Blaze's tires can't grip the road,

because that slippery oil's getting in the way.

- But, if we give his tires deep grooves,

then all the oil will move through the grooves,

and the tires can grab onto the road!

- Let's try it.

To give my tires Groove Power,

say, "Groove Power!"

all: Groove Power!

[blasting]

- Here we go!

[goo splashing]

- It's working!

- We're not slipping!

- Pretty groovy, huh? [laughing]

the track in gooey cheese.

They just keep spinning.

The paddles will grab onto the cheese,

so our tires can drive forward.
