- The Flying Lion.

[heroic music]

[rock music]

[cheering]

- Yeah!

- Ha-ha! Yeah!

Whoo-hoo!

- Hey Blaze, what's that over there?

- It looks like some sort of tunnel.

I wonder where it goes.

- [echoing] Hello!

- Huh. Maybe this cave doesn't lead anywhere after all--

[both yelling]

[cheering]

Bllllllb!

Wow! - Whoa!

Where are we?

- [giggling] You're in the Great Forest.

- The Great Forest? Who said that?

Oh, yeah, it's that little bunny.

- Welcome, friends.

- We love having visitors to our forest.

Right, guys?

- Oh, yeah!

- For sure!

- Well, is sure seems like a nice place.

- Hey, has anyone seen Panda?

- I'm up here!

Check out how high I climbed!

Whoa!

- Hang on Panda! - Oh, no!

- Help! - Gaskets!

Someone needs to fly up there and save him.

- [laughing]

- Look! Help is on the way!

- Whoa!

- It's a lion that can fly!

- I've never seen a flying lion before.

He must be magic!

- I'm slipping. Whoa!

- Got ya!

[cheering]

- You did it!

- You're safe now, friend.

- Thank you, Roarian.

- That was incredible!

- Thank you, strangers. And whom might you be?

- I'm Blaze, and this is my best friend A.J.

- We're from a faraway place called Axle City.

- Well, welcome Blaze and A.J.

My name is Roarian, the Flying Lion.

[triumphal music]

- Wow!

- What's that amazing gem around your neck, Roarian?

- Ah, this is my magical sunstone.

You see, long ago, I did not have my flying powers.

I was just a lone statue.

- A statue?

- Day after day, I dreamed of becoming real.

Then one day,

my animal friends brought me this sunstone.

And its magic brought me to life!

[all cheering]

[laughing]

Roaaaar!

- Wow! - That's amazing!

- Now I have the power to do all the things I ever wanted.

I can play, I can roar, and I can fly.

[laughing]

- ♪ Roarian, Roarian

♪ The Flyin' Lion

♪ Roarian, Roarian

- ♪ I used to be a statue

♪ And now I'm flying free

- ♪ You never know what a new day will bring ♪

Whoa, that was fun!

Right, Crusher?

Crusher?

- [yelling]

[mumbling]

- [laughing]

- Crusher, you have got to see this.

It's a flying lion!

- Roooaaar! [laughing]

- Eh, I'm not impressed.

- Not impressed?

Not even by his amazing wings?

Or his mighty roar?

Or--or his shiny sunstone?

- Shiny sunstone?

- See? He's wearing it right now.

Isn't it beautiful?

- [giggling] I want that sunstone, Pickle.

I need that sunstone.

- Well, sure.

But you can't just take something

that doesn't belong to you.

So maybe you could ask to borrow it

or take a picture of it,

or--or take it away!

- Oh, no! I can't fly anymore.

Whoa!

all: [gasping]

- Oh, no! - Roarian!

- What happened, Roarian?

- I don't know, but for some reason, my magic is gone.

- Roarian, look! Your sunstone is missing.

all: [gasping]

- But who would want to take my sunstone?

- [laughing]

Blaze and A.J.: Crusher!

- Almost got it.

Almost got it!

Almost got--

[yelling]

- Oh, no! - The sunstone!

- It's flying away!

- Hubcaps! The sunstone landed by that waterfall

way on the other side of the forest.

- Sunstone! I've to get that sunstone!

I need that sunstone.

- Uh, oh! Crusher's trying to get it.

- Roarian, you have to get your sunstone back!

- I'm afraid I can't, little friends.

Look, without the sunstone's magic,

I'm changing back into a statue.

all: [gasping]

- How can we help you, Roarian?

- Bring back my sunstone,

and I will become a real lion again.

- Whoa! - Oh, no!

- Don't worry, animals. Blaze and I can save Roarian.

- That's right!

We're going to get that sunstone back

and make Roarian a real lion again.

animals: [cheering]

- A.J., give me some speed.

[engine revving]

- Good luck!

- Oh, why is it taking so long to get to the sunstone?

- Don't worry, Crusher,

I know a great way to pass the time.

Let's make up a song.

♪ Crusher really wants that sunstone ♪

- ♪ It's true, I really want that sunstone ♪

- ♪ It's gold and it's tiny

- ♪ So bright and shiny

♪ I can't wait to get it for me, me, me ♪

- ♪ Just don't crash into that tree, tree, tree ♪

- Tree, tree, tree?

[exclaiming]

[musical car horn honking] Oh, no! It's Blaze!

I bet he wants the sunstone too!

Well, too bad, Blaze, because I saw it first.

[grunting]

- Blaze, look out!

- Whoa!

- Oopsie, looks like this bridge has really

gone to pieces.

[laughing]

- Oh, no! Crusher's trying to stop us

from getting the sunstone!

- Blaze, look out!

- Whoa!

- Oopsie, looks like this bridge has really

gone to pieces.

[laughing]

- Oh, no! Crusher's trying to stop us

from getting the sunstone!

- Hmm, what we need is some way to pick up those broken pieces

so we can fix this bridge.

- Hey, I know a machine that can pick up those big pieces.

We can make a gantry crane.

A gantry crane has a long, stabilizing girder

in the middle that's really good for picking up

big, heavy pieces.

- Yeah! Let's build one.

First, we'll need a hook block to pick up the heavy pieces.

To make the hook block, say "hook block."

Hook block!

Now we need a trolley to move the hook block back and forth.

To make the trolley, say "trolley."

Trolley!

Last, we need the girder that the trolley moves across.

To make the girder, say "girder."

Girder!

All right!

I'm a gantry crane monster machine!

- Yeah! Now we just have to

figure out which pieces we need

so we can fix the bridge.

- Hey, I know how we can figure it out.

We just have to follow the pattern.

- Yeah, a pattern is when something repeats

over and over again in the same order.

- Check it out.

This bridge has a pattern of colors.

It goes red, yellow, blue.

Red, yellow, blue.

Red, yellow--

What comes next?

Blue! Yeah!

- One blue piece coming up.

- [laughing] - All right!

- Come on. Let's follow the pattern

so we can fix the next part of the bridge.

- Pattern goes red, yellow, blue.

Red, yellow, blue.

Red--what goes next?

Yellow! Yeah!

- [grunting]

Whoo-hoo!

- The bridge is almost fixed.

- Follow the pattern with me.

It goes red, yellow, blue.

Red, yellow, blue.

Red--what comes next?

Yellow!

And what comes last?

Blue!

Yellow!

[grunts]

And blue!

- We did it! We fixed the bridge.

- Now nothing's gonna stop us from getting that sunstone

and saving our friend Roarian.

- Whoo-hoo!

- ♪ Patterns, over and over ♪

♪ Big tree, small tree ♪

♪ Pattern of sizes repeat

[electronic warbling] - Look! We're getting a call!

It's the animals.

- Hey animals, how's Roarian doing?

- Well, we're doing our best to look after him.

- But we really miss our friend.

- Well, don't worry.

Blaze and I are going to get the sunstone back.

We promise.

[cheering]

- Hang in there, Roarian.

- You'll be flying again soon.

- Good luck, fellas.

- This way, A.J.

To the sunstone!

- Yeah!

- [panting]

When am I going to get that sunstone already?

- Well, remember, Crusher, the best way to pass the time

is make up a song... like this!

♪ Crusher won't quit, he keeps on tryin' ♪

♪ To get a sunstone that belongs to a lion ♪

- ♪ I just can't wait to get that jewel ♪

♪ I'm going to hunt--uh

- ♪ Fall in a muddy pool

- Right!

[yelling]

[musical car horn honking]

- Blaze is back.

Ooh, I can't let him get the sunstone.

[gasps, giggling]

Good thing I'm so smart.

I know a way to stop him.

- Whoa!

- So long, Blaze.

Better luck next time.

[laughing]

[tires squealing]

[grunting] Lug nuts.

The door's locked. I can't open it.

- Blaze, look over there.

A yellow key!

- It must open the yellow lock on this door.

- Huh? - Hey, where'd it go?

- It might be some kind of disappearing key.

- Look, the yellow key's over there now.

By that tree.

Now it's on that rock.

It's back in the tree.

It's on the rock.

- Hey, wait a second.

This key keeps moving in the same order every time.

It's moving in a pattern.

- You're right, Blaze.

The yellow key keeps going from the tree

to the rock.

Tree...rock.

Tree--where's it going to go next?

The rock!

- Gotcha! - All right!

We got the first key.

- Yeah!

- Now let's look for the purple key

to open this next lock.

- I see it, Blaze.

The purple key is by that log.

Now it's near those flowers.

Now it's by those mushrooms.

- So the pattern is log, flowers, mushrooms.

Log, flowers, mushrooms.

Log, flowers--

What comes next?

Mushrooms!

- Yeah! Not so fast, purple key.

Yeah!

- Only one more key to catch--

The orange key.

- I see it, Blaze!

- It starts on the tree stump.

- Then goes to the bushes.

- And now it's over by that vine.

Stump, bushes, vine.

Stump, bushes, vine.

Stump, bushes--

What comes next?

Vine! Right!

Oh, yeah!

- All right! We did it, Blaze.

- Now, come on.

We got to hurry and get to that sunstone

so we can save our friend Roarian!

- To the sunstone!

[engine revving]

- [whining] Oh, I'm tired of waiting!

I want to get that sunstone right now.

- Aw, sounds like someone could use a little song

to cheer them up.

♪ Crusher, Crusher, watch him try ♪

♪ To get that sunstone, what a guy ♪

- ♪ Getting that sunstone is my goal ♪

♪ Nothing can stop me

- ♪ Except that hole

- A hole?

[yelling]

[musical car horn honking]

- Oh, no! It can't be!

Blaze!

This time I'm going to stop that guy once and for all.

He'll never get past these-- my robo storm clouds!

Ha-ha! Looks like the forecast is for trouble!

[laughing]

- Blaze, look out!

[brakes squealing]

- Whoa! - Whoa!

- Whoa, whoa!

- Oh, no. How are we going to get past

Crusher's storm clouds?

- Blaze, look out!

[brakes squealing]

- Whoa! - Whoa!

- Whoa, whoa!

- Oh, no. How are we going to get past

Crusher's storm clouds?

- We can do it A.J.

We just need to figure out how to move in the right order.

We need a pattern.

- Yeah! The first clouds always have tornados,

and Blaze can jump over those.

Then come the giant icicles,

but I bet Blaze can smash through them.

And last, it's the lightning.

But Blaze can get past the lightning

if he zooms really fast.

Jump, smash, zoom. That's our pattern.

- It's pattern time.

[tires squealing]

both: Jump!

Smash!

Zoom!

Jump!

Smash!

Zoom!

Smash!

- What comes next?

Zoom!

[tires squealing]

Yeah! - The pattern's working!

- Come on! Let's keep going!

both: Jump!

Smash!

- Whoo-hoo!

We're really close.

- [giggling]

- And Crusher's even closer.

- There's only one way we're going to b*at Crusher

to that sunstone.

It's time to use blazing speed.

To give me blazing speed, say "Let's Blaze!"

both: Let's Blaze!

[cheering]

- Almost got the sun...

- [cheering] - Stone!

- All right!

- Now let's get the sunstone back to our friend Roarian.

- [cheering]

- Oh, poor Roarian.

[musical car horn honking]

- Oh, look! They're back!

And they got the sunstone!

[cheering]

- It's working! He's changing back.

[all gasping, cheering]

- Roar!

[laughing]

[cheering]

- Roarian, you're not a statue anymore!

- I missed you, my friends.

And as for you, Blaze and A.J.,

my greatest thanks.

- You're welcome, Roarian.

- We're just happy that you're a real lion again.

Ha-ha! Not just any lion.

I'm...

A flying lion!

[all cheering]

Come, friends! Fly with me!

- Whoa! - Whoa-ho-ho-ho!

We're flying!

- [cheering] - [laughing]

Roar!
