[Moose] Noggin presents "Mighty Fine Art."

Welcome to the art museum.

Let's take a stroll.

I'd like to show you one of my favorite masterpieces.

I like to call them "moosterpieces."

Today's "moosterpiece" is a painting by an artist

named Vincent Van Gogh.

It's called "Still Life: Vase with Sunflowers."

Just look at these fabulous flowers.

They're so... [sniffing] fragrant!

Ah-ah-ah-choo!

Oh, excuse me.

This painting is called a still life

because the artist paints objects that don't move.

Usually, still lifes are pictures of things

you'd find around the house,

like books and shoes, toys,

or these fantastic flowers in a very attractive vase.

The artist, Vincent Van Gogh, loved sunflowers,

so he painted lots of pictures of brightly-colored bouquets

like this one.

Hmm. If you were painting a still life,

what would you paint a picture of?

[girl] Pine cones!

[boy] My teddy bear.

[girl] A banana!

Sounds superb!

Zee!

What a lovely still life!

[ting ting]

You painted this still life for me?

Be still my heart. Ha!

Thanks, Zee!

Thanks for joining us at the museum.

[ting ting]I love looking at art with you, too, Zee.
