18x37 - A Legendary Photo Op!

NARRATOR: As our heroes continue to make their way to

Anistar City, they soon arrive at the foot of Mount Molteau.

ASH: A volcano? Think that mountain could be one?

PIKACHU

CLEMONT: I do.

Up there, see the smoke coming out near the top?

ASH: Yeah. Wow

CHARMELEON?

SERENA: Hey, do you hear that noise?

BONNIE: Could it be a Pokémon?

SERENA: What Pokémon is that?

ASH: It's a Charmeleon!

SERENA: Charmeleon?

POKEDEX: Charmeleon. The Flame Pokémon, and the evolved form of

Charmander. Charmeleon knocks down opponents with its tail,

then defeats them using razor-sharp claws.

CHARMELEON

PIKACHU!

ASH: Hey, Pikachu?!

BONNIE: Dedenne!

CHARMELEON

PIKACHU

ASH: Pikachu, are you okay?!

PIKACHU

BONNIE: Hey, why did you have to do that?!

TREVOR: Charmeleon!

TREVOR: Oh, there you are, Charmeleon!

CHARMELEON

ASH: I know that voice. Trevor? Is that you?!

TREVOR: Yeah

You're just a kid on a quest

To be the best of the best

ASH: Maybe Charmeleon wants to have a Pokémon battle.

TREVOR: Yeah? Is that what you want, Charmeleon?

CHARMELEON!

ASH: Great, just leave it to me, okay? Fletchinder, come on out!

ASH: A good battle oughta be just the thing to calm

Charmeleon right down!

TREVOR: Thank you so much, Ash! A battle should do the trick!

CHARMELEON!

ASH: Okay! Let's do it!

TREVOR: 'Kay, Ch on, ready to go?

CHARMELEON

TREVOR: All right, let's start out with Fire Spin!

ASH: Quick, get out of there!

TREVOR: Now, use Flamethrower!

ASH: Deflect it with Steel Wing!

ASH: You've got an opening! Use Flame Charge!

BONNIE: So cool!

DEDENNE

SERENA: Charmeleon's really something.

CLEMONT: It's definitely been well trained.

TREVOR: Charmeleon, use Dragon Claw!

ASH: Tough stuff!

TREVOR: Now's your chance. Use Flamethrower!

ASH: Up in the air!

ASH: Now use Steel Wing, let's go!

CLEMONT: And that is it!!

TREVOR: Oh no! Charmeleon, are you all right?!

ASH: Fletchinder, you were awesome!

FLETCHINDER

ASH: Feeling better now?

CHARMELEON

BONNIE: Yay, you're feeling better!

DEDENNE

SERENA: Charmeleon, that's wonderful!

TREVOR: You're all the best. Thanks!

PIKACHU

TREVOR: Last I saw you guys was at Pokémon summer camp,

am I right?

ASH: Uh huh. That was so much fun! We had a really great time!

BONNIE: Charmeleon evolved from Charmander, but its personality

hasn't changed a bit.

TREVOR: Charmeleon's been unbelievable in Gym battles, and

thanks to all of its hard work, I even earned a Bug Badge.

ASH: Wow, that means you beat Viola!

SERENA: Obviously, you're working hard.

TREVOR: Yeah, but not just me. Shauna and Tierno were working

hard, too. Tierno's right! You do look great!

SERENA: I do?

TREVOR: It's just that I got a message from Tierno telling me

that your clothes and hair are looking amazing these days.

SERENA: How nice. Thanks!

TREVOR: So, have you all come here looking for Moltres, too?

ASH: Moltres?

TREVOR: Am I wrong?

CLEMONT: You mean the Legendary Pokémon?

SERENA: Legendary?

CLEMONT: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres... They're Pokémon whose

existence has already been confirmed, but who appear to

be extraordinarily difficult to track down.

BONNIE: I want to meet Moltres, too!

DEDENNE

TREVOR: An examination and analysis of various documents

leads me to believe that Moltres is on Mount Molteau.

ASH: You wanna take a picture of it, don't you?

TREVOR: Right! It's always been my dream to meet every Pokémon

in the Pokédex and add them all to my photo collection!

TREVOR: See this?

CLEMONT: Zapdos! And Articuno!

SERENA: No way! You've met Legendary Pokémon?!

BONNIE: Not fair

DEDENNE

ASH: Incredible, Trevor!

PIKACHU

TREVOR: If I can get Moltres, I'll have taken photos of each

of these three Legendary Pokémon! And check this out!

TREVOR: Look! Aren't these Scatterbug really rare?

ASH: Why are they rare?

SERENA: They look like normal Scatterbug

TREVOR: What are you talking about?!

Just look at the antennae! See?

The lengths are ever so slightly different.

BONNIE: Wow, are they?

CLEMONT: Subtle, but they're not the same.

SERENA: Hold on. That's important?

TREVOR: Sure is! You see, it's almost impossible to find this

kind of Scatterbug! You can't get any more rare than these

two! Yup, this is a picture almost no one gets!

TREVOR: I've also got a Whiscash with straight whiskers who's

only been spotted at Eur Lake! Then there's this Golem! The

pattern of its shell and body are slightly different than

usual. It's only been confirmed recently and so few know about

it, I had a really hard time getting this picture.

Believe me!

And look at this rare Sableye with a crystal eye

that's slightly darker than usual! This is really rare, too!

TREVOR: Anyway, that's what I have so far.

So you get it now, right?

ASH: You bet! You've met all kinds of Pokémon!

TREVOR: Right!

And Moltres is gonna be the very next photograph I take!

ASH: We'll help you look for Moltres, if you want.

PIKACHU

SERENA: It'll be much faster that way!

CLEMONT: I wanna see, too!

BONNIE: Yay! And don't forget me!

TREVOR: Thank you! That would be a big help!

JESSIE: That Pict-o-Twerp is quite a go-getter, isn't he?

MEOWTH: Yeah. I never would've imagined Moltres is

hanging out on this mountain.

JAMES: If we were to procure Legendary Pokémon, Team Rocket

could write a one-way ticket to Successville.

MEOWTH: Grabbing Pikachu would be a breeze, and our grateful

Boss would be ever so pleased!

JESSIE: But catching Moltres is job one.

So let's get that job done!

JAMES: What fun.

ASH: This is Moltres for sure?

TREVOR: Yup. No doubt about it!

BONNIE: But it's really hard to see anything.

How do you know? Huh?

TREVOR: There's no other Pokémon with wings shaped

just like that. And, according to my research,

Moltres has been spotted on Mt. Molteau in the past.

TREVOR: It was an accident that Moltres got in there in the

first place. It didn't even know it was being photographed!

But if we head up to that big rock, I know we'll see it!

SERENA: So that's all we have to go on, huh?

CLEMONT: So we're heading to a big rock. I'd say this is my

cue. And that means the future is now, thanks to science!

CLEMONT: Clemontic Gear, on!

CLEMONT: I thought that we'd encounter a situation precisely

like this one. This is called my Rock Searcher Mark One!

SERENA: Rock Searcher Mark One?

BONNIE: You think it's gonna work this time?

TREVOR: Oh, wow! This is one of your famous inventions!

CLEMONT: I input the landscape of this photograph into

its memory. Then my amazing device will locate an

exact match automatically!

TREVOR: Awesome!

CLEMONT: Please save the praise for later, my good friend.

After we discover Moltres's location, you can thank me.

ASH: But it's still looking around!

ASH : "Who's that Pokémon?"

ASH : "It's Charmeleon!"

ASH: Doesn't look like it's having too much luck.

TREVOR: What's that!?

BONNIE: Oh, that's just a Crustle.

TREVOR: Look closer!

You don't see that kind of complex-patterned layering

hardly ever!

ASH: So cool!

TREVOR: LOOK!!

TREVOR: The tips of that Butterfree's antennae are

slightly smaller than normal!

That's rare! No, that's super-rare!

TREVOR: I never dreamed I would run into a Butterfree like that

here! How lucky can I get?!

CLEMONT: I would say this particular area is a Pokémon

photographer's paradise.

BONNIE: Wrong again

ASH: Trevor! Let's go!

TREVOR: Please, just one more minute. This is incredible!

CLEMONT: I think he's forgotten about Moltres...

SERENA: He works so hard. Photography seems tough!

MEOWTH: It stopped in its tracks.

JESSIE: What's wrong? Getting lazy?!

MEOWTH: Maybe it's on the fritz.

JAMES: If that's true,

we won't be able to procure Moltres or Pikachu!

JESSIE: Who's at the door?!

MEOWTH: It's a warning bell!

JESSIE: You stupid

SERENA: Let's go find out!

MEOWTH: Twerps closing in fast

CLEMONT: I knew it...

BONNIE: Another one bites the dust.

ASH: Now we'll never find out where Moltres is...

TREVOR: Oh no

ASH: Clemont, what's going on?!

CLEMONT: It's gone completely haywire!

ASH: Are you okay, Pikachu?

PIKACHU!

ASH: Pikachu, no!

MEOWTH: Pikachu, yes

ASH: Team Rocket!

JESSIE: Prepare for trouble, that certainly went well!

JAMES: And make it double, success is swell!

JESSIE: To protect our work, and all it achieves!

JAMES: To expose our roles as Pikachu thieves!

JESSIE: To denounce the evils of taking appaling pics!

JAMES: To watch you lie there like a ton of bricks!

JESSIE: Jessie!

JAMES: And James.

JESSIE: Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!

JAMES: Surrender now or prepare for a photo finish fight!

MEOWTH: Meowth, that's right!

SERENA: So you followed us again!

JAMES: Perceptive!

The plan was to make Moltres into one of our associates!

JESSIE: But since the odds of you finding it are zero, we'll

take Pikachu and call it a day!

ASH: Fletchinder, let's go!

FLETCHINDER

JESSIE: Two can play at that game!

JAMES: The game is rigged in our favor!

JESSIE: Gourgeist, Shadow Ball!

JAMES: Okay, Inkay, Psybeam!

GOURGEIST

ASH: Fletchinder! Dodge it, quick!

FLETCHINDER

TREVOR: That Gourgeist's size is totally rare!

SERENA: Trevor?! Save the pics for another time!

TREVOR: You're right.

TREVOR: Charme- leon! Now! Use Flamethrower!

JAMES: Deflect it with Psybeam!

JESSIE: Wrap it up, Gourgeist. Done!

JAMES: We've had enough fun!

JESSIE: Shadow Ball!

ASH: Dodge it

JESSIE: Shadow Ball. Once more with feeling!

JAMES: And it's Psybeam for the win!

JESSIE: Will you quit being a moving target?!

MOLTRES

FLETCHINDER!

ASH: What's that?

MOLTRES

CLEMONT: It sounded like like a roar to me

BONNIE: I'm scared

TREVOR: You don't think that's

JESSIE: Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot, hot!

ASH: Whoa Could that be the Legendary Pokémon?

Is it Moltres?

MOLTRES

CLEMONT: So Moltres was here.

Hiding in the volcano's magma all along! Incredible

TREVOR: I've heard about that before. It's said that Moltres

rests in volcano lava in order to build up its power!

TREVOR: We finally meet! It's like a dream!

JESSIE: Okay, we are back to Plan A! Let's take Moltres away!

JAMES: Okay. Inkay!

JESSIE: Gourgeist!

GOURGEIST

JESSIE : Shadow Ball!

JAMES: There's no doubt about it.

That's one legendary Flamethrower!

JESSIE: Why don't you write a fan letter?!

MEOWTH: Who'd have thought grabbing Pikachu would've

been our second choice?!

JESSIE: We're blasting off again!

ASH: Quick, Fletchinder! Use Steel Wing!

Break Pikachu out of there!

ASH: Pikachu, Hey, buddy!

CLEMONT: Look out!

CLEMONT: I'll bet Moltres thinks we're friends

with Team Rocket!

SERENA: No way!

ASH: Stop it! We're not your enemies!

ASH: Gotta do it. Frogadier, go!

ASH: All right, Frogadier, Water Pulse!

ASH: What happened?!

CLEMONT: It evaporated?

TREVOR: So let's try fire! Charmeleon! Flamethrower, NOW!

ASH: Dodge it, quick!

ASH: Fletchinder, you okay?!

TREVOR: Ash!

ASH: Trevor, let me GO! Fletchinder, I'm coming!

SERENA: Oh, no!

CLEMONT: That light...

FROGADIER?

SERENA: Could it be...

ASH: It's evolving Awesome!

POKEDEX: Talonflame. The Scorching Pokémon, and the

evolved form of Fletchinder. During an intense battle,

Talonflame expels embers from gaps between its feathers.

It reaches speeds of more than three hundred

miles per hour chasing prey.

ASH: Wow. A Talonflame...

ASH: Here it comes

ASH: What was that?

CLEMONT: That was Brave Bird! Brave Bird is without a doubt

one of the most powerful of all Flying-type moves!

ASH: Whoa, really?

ASH: Now, Talonflame, use Brave Bird!

ASH: It's so fast!

ASH: Talonflame!!

SERENA: Ash, hold on!

PIKACHU

CLEMONT: Frogadier, pull them up fast!

ASH: Talonflame, are you all right?

TALONFLAME

CLEMONT: Ash, that was a close one.

SERENA: You sure can be reckless sometimes!

ASH: Yeah.

ASH: Sorry I scared you, Pikachu.

SERENA: Wow

TREVOR: It's leaving.

CLEMONT: Yeah.

I think Moltres finally knows we're not actually enemies.

ASH: I wonder where it's going to go now.

TREVOR: Cool! I got a great shot!

SERENA: Trevor, that's wonderful.

BONNIE: I guess it was all worth it.

DEDENNE

TREVOR: Yeah! I'm really glad!

ASH: We've got a lot of things to do, Talonflame.

NARRATOR: A trip to Mt. Molteau has given our heroes the chance

to meet the Legendary Pokémon Moltres. On top of that,

Fletchinder evolved into Talonflame! And so, with all

kinds of new Pokémon yet to meet and all kinds of new adventures

yet to experience, the journey continues!
