"The Tale of the Flying Fox."

Give up, Peter Rabbit!

Never!

You... You can't get away.
I know all your tricks!

[grunts]

Never try to outfox a-- [grunts]

[muffled] A fox.

[grunts]

You think you're so smart...

-[gasps]
-But I'm smarter.

[laughs evilly]

[both grunt]

Come here.

-One of my dad's secret escape routes!
-Gotcha!

[Peter grunts]

Oh! What's this?

Didn't you say you knew all of my tricks?

I did.

Whoo-hoo!

[groans] Oh, I'm stuck!

[whoops and laughs] Yes!

Thanks, Dad.

What's this? A secret key?

This is fantastic!

And if my dad went to all the trouble
of hiding it in his journal,

it must be the key to something amazing!

Like a secret treasure box!

Or a hidden room with a never-ending
supply of carrots!

We've just got to find out
what this key is for!

We'll go to all of my
dad's favorite places,

and ask everyone who knew him.

Why not start with my dad?
He might know what the key opens.

Hmm, a key without a lock, eh?
Very curious.

Oh! I wonder if it would fit my old...

[scatting]

Music box! Ha!

Benjamin, I made this to help you sleep
when you were a baby.

The key has been missing for years!

[all] Ooh!

Let's see.

[sighs] No, doesn't fit.

Ah! What a shame.

It played such a sweet melody, too.

[grunts] Oh!

-[music box plays raspy melody]
-Oh, no!

-Malfunction!
-Too loud!

-[Mr. Bouncer] Careful.
-[plays soothing melody]

Just-in-case pocket, just in case!

[laughs] Well... Oh...

[snoring]

[all] Benjamin!

Huh? I'm up!

Oh! My a*t*matic carrot picker! Watch out!

I thought you said carrot picker,
not a carrot thrower!

Oh! It's, uh... Ow!
[giggles] Not perfected yet!

[machine stops]

It's all right. The coast is clear.
Oh! I think it's all out of carrots.

[sighs in relief] Oh!

Sorry, Dad.

Maybe we should try the key out
somewhere else?

[Mr. Bouncer] Hmm...

Oh! Your father spent a lot of time
by the lake, Peter.

Why don't you ask Mr. Jeremy Fisher?
He might know something about your key!

Good idea! Let's hop to it!

-Bye, Dad!
-Thanks, Uncle Bouncer!

-[Lily] Thank you.
-Bye! Ow!

I know what this is.

You do?

Tell us.

This, my little hopping friends, is a key.

Even I knew that.

Oh, you didn't let me finish,
young Benjamin.

A key to this.

-[gasps]
-Whoa!

Your father gave me this fishing
tackle box years ago.

It's got all his
best fishing lures inside.

Like these, only far better.

[sighs] Alas, I lost the key,
until now that is.

-Go ahead!
-Try it!

This could be it!

Oh...

The lock is too small.

I'll make it fit. Watch this.

Whoa!

The key!

[pants and grunts]

[both] Phew!

It's all right,
everything's under-- [screams]

Control!

Well, at least
we opened your dad's tackle box.

[gasps] Didn't I tell you? What a beauty!

[sighs] Maybe we'll never find out what
the key is for.

Every key is made to fit its own keyhole.
I know that for a fact.

And if this key fell out of the journal,
maybe there's a clue in there.

My dad talks about
all sorts of special places in here.

If we're going to find that keyhole,
we've got to check every one of them!

-Yeah.
-Wait.

Every one!

Let's find that keyhole. Hop to it!

Your dad probably used them to hide
from Mr. McGregor.

Maybe.

Or maybe there's something
hidden inside one of them!

Something that fits this key!

Yeah, but if Mr. McGregor catches us,
we're cooked!

There's three of them and three of us.
I'll take the pot on the left!

No.

I really thought that was it!
This key is nothing but trouble!

Peter! Ugh! It's all dirty is what it is.

Hmm, I never noticed this before.

Noticed what?

[Lily] A flying fox.

-Looks like an awful lot like--
-Mr. Tod!

Why would your father have the key
for something in Mr. Tod's lair?

I don't know.
But there's only one way to find out!

Rabbits are brave. Rabbits are brave.

[gasps]

He's not home.

The cabinet.

Doesn't fit.

How about the one under the sink?

Nope.

Maybe the box on the mantlepiece.

Benjamin.

Here, climb on us.

...than be trapped in a log all day.

Oh, happy day! It's a rabbit kebab!

It's all my fault. I told you
this key was nothing but trouble!

Look.

This must be it.

[grunts]

[whimpering]

But, uh... What do we do with it?

Hurry, Peter!

My dad left it here for a reason.

And I think I know
what he had in mind.

Huh!

Another of Dad's secret emergency
escape routes!

Why try to outrun a fox...

When you can fly!

Good old Dad.

Brilliant! [gasps] I think...

Gotcha!

Come on!

[rabbits whooping]

Hey, come back! Oh!
If rabbits can fly, so can a...

fox!

[thuds]

[groans] I'm stuck.

[rabbits laughing]

Thanks, Dad.

More keys?

This one has a badger on it.

And this one has an owl.

Wow! I can't wait to find out
what these keys fit--

Ah! Why don't we save these
for another day, Peter?

Yeah.

I have had enough of mystery keys!

Okay, we'll wait. Till tomorrow.
