Anani has
a big presentation today,

and we're helping her
practice her speech.

- Oh. Ooh!

Wait till you see
the best part.

[magical twinkling]

both: Ooh.

- Increíble.

It's glowing.

[both groan]

It stopped glowing.

- [sighs] I need more tea kelp.

I have to have it
before the presentation.

- We can grab some for you.

- That'd be great, Lorelai.

- [laughs]

[light rhythmic music]

Escarlata must have
that teapot!

Then I will have
the best tea parties ever!

I'll make a spell
that causes a distraction,

then I'll steal the teapot
before anyone notices!

just like me.

[squeals]

[gasps]

- [gasps]
both: Huh?

- Hola!

Where am I?
Who are you?

- Who am I?

I'm Escarlata La Pirata,
of course.

Who are you?

- Hmm, great question.

I'm that color.

- Rosita?

- Yes! Rosita.
That's my name!

- Escarlata's potions must have
magically created a jellygirl?

- I'm a jellygirl!

Wait, I've got tentacles
just like you.

[gasps]
You must be my big sister.

- Escarlata does not
have a sister.

- Sweet cauldron.

Ooh! What's this?

- [gasps] Hey!
What are you doing?

- Wow, you got so many books

and potions and--
ooh! Seashells!

- [gasps] Stop!

[electricity crackling]
Don't touch that!

- I've got electric powers?

- Oy.

Escarlata doesn't
have time for this.

I have a teapot to steal.

- Ooh, sounds like fun.

- [gasps] My big sister
forgot her big spell book.

She probably needs it.

- Here's the tea kelp.

[sighs] This is
so embarrassing.

I can't give a speech
like this.

Anani Teapot Hands!

- [laughs evilly]

You forgot your spell book.

- If I needed my spell book,

I would have brought it.

You're interrupting me.

Now stand back.

Power of sea-foam,

destroy this bubble dome!

[gasps, groans]

This is not Escarlata's day.

- Looks like
your potion didn't work, huh?

Let me try
to open the bubble dome!

♪ ♪

- Escarlata is
slightly impressed.

Actually, you might be useful.

I guess you can come along.

- Really? Oh, yay!

- All right.
Easy on the hugging.

- Ooh! Those eels are electric,

just like me!

Come on! Let's play with them.

- Not now.
We don't have time.

- Sorry, electric buddy.

Gotta go.

I'm on a mission
with my big sister.

[mischievous music]

I can't believe
I'm sneaking around with you.

This is so cool.

- Yes, it is cool,

but keep it down.

- [whispers] Of course.
I'll be quiet.

[seahorse whinnies]
Wait. Are those seahorses?

- Shh!

- A paleta shop!

[squeals]

I can't wait to try
all the flavors!

- Rosita, wait!

Hey! Get back here!

[gasps]

[all exclaim]

[panting] That was close.

Those pesky pirates are inside.

If they see me,
they'll ruin everything.

- Pesky pirates, bad news.
Got it.

- Maybe it's best
if Escarlata steals the teapot

by herself, and you will have
the most important job of all--

uh, guarding these barrels.

- Yes! I won't let you down.

[light ambient music]

- That'll keep her
out of my way.

[both straining]

- [groans]
- Mira!

What if we use
this paleta stick

to pry the teapot off?

- Buena idea, Capitán.

- Listos?

Uno, dos, tres!

[all gasp]
- [squeaks in alarm]

- It's gonna crash!
- [squeals]

[soft triumphant music]

- Phew.

Fantastic catch, Cecilia.

- Oh, hurry!

To the town square!

- I got my eye on you, barrel.

- [squeaks]
- [gasps]

[playful music]

♪ ♪

[gasps]
The teapot!

I gotta tell Escarlata.

- Citizens of Merlandia,

there's been a new discovery
at the dig site.

- From swamp and bog,
cover in fog!

[everyone gasps]

- What's this pink smoke?

- I can't see a mer-thing.

- [gasps]
What's going on?

- Now is Escarlata's chance.

[sneaky music]

Aha.

- Escarlata!

Escarlata La Pirata?

- Escarlata?

What's she doing here?

- I saw the teapot you came
to steal.

- She made this fog!

Espada fuerza!

- Oh, there it is.

Grab it!

- Avast, Escarlata.

The teapot of delfín
doesn't belong to you.

- [growls]

I don't believe this!

- We'll show you out of here.

- I'm so sorry.

I can't believe I ruined
my big sister's big plans.

- You're Escarlata's sister?

- Yup.
- No!

You are not my sister.

All I wanted was that teapot.

I wish you never came.

- [gasps]

[despondent music]

♪ ♪

- Time for you two to leave.

Huh? Where's Rosita?

- [sighs]
She was right here.

- Compass, show me Rosita.

- Of course, yeah.
Why wouldn't she be?

She's playing with the eels.

She never listens.
[loud crackling]

[all gasp]
- Oh, no.

If the eels play too much--

- They'll make
an electric storm.

It could damage
the bubble dome!

[electricity crackling]

- We have to stop them.

- Rosita?

Where is she?

- We'll find her,
but first

we need to take care
of the storm.

both: On it, Capitán.

[upbeat music]

- Bubble of air--

- Stop this storm with care.

♪ ♪

- It worked!

- A la aventura!

[seahorse whinnies]

Tranquilos, anguilas.

Calm down.

- That's what I call
sister power.

[laughs]

[soft thoughtful music]

- [gasps] Rosita!

There you are.

Escarlata was worried sick
about you.

- You were?

[gasps]

- What's in this bag?

- Okay, okay.

You caught me.

I felt bad
for ruining your plan,

so I used the eels to distract
those pesky pirates,

then when they came here,

I stole the teapot!

- Rosita, you thought
of all that?

- I was just doing
what you would do.

- That is so genius!

Escarlata is sorry
for what she said before

and how she treated you.

I'm happy you're here.

- Aww! Me too!

- Uh, sorry to interrupt,

but we're going to need
that teapot back.

- Hmm, Escarlata
doesn't need a teapot

to have the best tea parties.

I just need to have them
with my sister.

[giggles]

[all gasp]
- [squeaks]

[exclaims]

- Bien hecho, Cecilia!

- Another awesome Merlandia
adventure, me hearties.

all: Piratas ahoy!

- Los Piratas Peloteros.

[cheerful music]

All right, Kiko.

I'm ready for you.

Let it fly.

- [squeals]

[grunts]

- Eso!
- Great hit, primo!

- Gasping guppies.

That was our only ball.

Let's go find it.

[upbeat percussive music]

- [gasps]
Allí está!

[bright chime]

[rumbling]
[gasps]

Huh?

both: Whoa!

- Saludos!

My name is Jonrón!

Bienvenidos
al campo de campeones--

the field of champions!

all: Huh?

- Mucho gusto.

I'm Santiago,
and these are my mateys.

- [laughs] I'm so excited
you're here.

For , years, I've played
all kinds of sports

against all kinds of champions,

and now I get to play
against Pirate Protectors!

Santiago, you stepped
on the stone,

so you get to pick
what we play.

- [gasps] Um...

how 'bout baseball, mateys?

both: Aye, aye.

- Baseball it is!

First we need a baseball field.
[rumbling]

- [gasps]
all: Whoa.

[upbeat music]

Whoa!

- Increíble!

- That was amazing!

- Here's my team.

- Sparkling seashells!

- And here's your team.

- I can't wait to meet them.
- [gasps]

- Qué qué?

- Hey!
- [humming]

- What?

- Aah! Where am I?

- No one is allowed to zap me
into a random field!

- I was just about
to steal the golden ruby of--

I mean, never mind.

Why are we here?

- To play baseball
with your friends.

- What friends?

- And what's "basey-ball"?

- A very boring game.

I'm outta here, swabs.

- Me too.

- I--I thought you would want
to play,

especially since
the winning players get

legendary golden trophies.

[all gasp]

[bright music]

- I love baseball!

- It's my favorite!

- Estupendo!

Let's playyy ball!

It's a beautiful day here

at el campo de campeones!

The teams are warming up,

and the game is about to begin.
- [gasps]

- I can't believe
we're on the same team

as Bonnie, Enrique, and Pepito.

Everybody ready
to have some fun?

- Absolutely!

And more importantly,

how can I become the star?

- I'm the pitcher.

- No! I wanna be the pitcher!
- [groans]

- What's a pitcher?

- You don't know how
to play baseball, do you?

- Whoa!
- Not at all, guitar boy.

- You actually play
by working together as a team.

It's the only way to win.

The pitcher starts by throwing
the ball to the catcher.

If the batter hits it,

they start running
around the bases

trying to get all the way back
to home plate,

and the other team tries
to stop them.

- By wrestling them
to the ground?

- No, to get them out,

you either catch the ball
when it's hit in the air,

tag them with the ball
if it's hit on the ground,

or touch the base
they are running toward.

Got it?

- Yeah, sure.
Tag, bats, base, easy.

- [clears throat]

Batter up!

- Get ready for my curve-rique.

- Maybe you should try
throwing a fastball?

- I'll pitch what I want,
peasant.

- [gasps]

- That was...
♪ Amazing ♪

- No, it wasn't.

They just hit it!

- That was...
♪ Terrible ♪

- Oh! They're about to score!

- Not if we stop them!

[grunts]

[both grunt]

- They're out!
Nice play!

[all cheer]

- Strong work, team.

- [grunts]

- [gasps]
- I'm gonna be the pitcher now.

- Nobody takes the ball

from Enrique Real de Palacios
the Third!

- What if you two took turns?
- [growls]

- Buena idea, Tomás. Huh?

- Never!
- [gasps]

[both grunting]

[both gasp]

- I'll catch it!

- No, I'll catch it, swab!

[both groan]

- Huh?

- I did it!

I got the ball!

[grunts]

Huh?

[gasps]

[both sigh]
- [laughs] Oh, oh.

Looks like that throw's
not gonna make it.

The runner scores a run.

- Caracoles!

- There's still time, primo.

- That was your fault, fawn!
- Huh?

- [groans] I'm done
being pitcher anyway.

[drumroll]

- ♪ You're going
to swing and miss ♪

[grunts]

Or hit it.

- [groans] I won't let them
score again!

[laughs evilly]
- [gasps]

- Whoo-hoo! I did it!

I saved the day!

- [gasps]

I've never seen a play
like that before.

- No, we can't use
our powers or gadgets.

That's not fair
or how you play baseball.

Lo siento.
We didn't mean to cheat.

- Well, I'm the keeper
of the field,

so I make the rules.

You didn't cheat.

Powers are allowed.

The batter's out!

[all cheer]

- Really?
Well, okay, I guess.

- [laughs]

What are we waiting for?

It's power time!

- Looks like the game
is heating up.

We've got ourselves a pickle.

- [grunts]
- Will the runner get to base

without being tagged?

- Stand still, swab!

[ball whistles]

- Whoa! [groans]

Whoa!

- [laughs] You're out!

- [sighs]

♪ ♪

- [grunts] Whoo-hoo!

Don't you dare steal my moment!

- It's a home run!

Los Piratas tie the game
one to one.

[board chimes]

- I got it!

I got it!
[gasps]

[clink]
- No.

- Huh?
- I got it.

- With a stunning comeback,

the Piratas are now winning,

but there's still plenty
of game left.

- [gasps]
We're gonna win!

"Bass-ball" is fun!

You don't look happy.

- Winning is fine,

but what makes baseball
fun to me

is playing as a team,

and we haven't been doing that.

- But we still get
the trophy, right?

- [sighs]

- Why don't we make this game
a little more exciting?

My team can use
their powers too!

- Qué qué?

They have powers too?

♪ ♪

- Aah!
- Strike one!

[buzzer blares]

- [grunts]

[both panting]

all: Huh?

- Caracoles.

- [grunts] Ugh!
Curses!

- [pants, grunts]

Aww.

- You're all out!

[upbeat music]

- Huh?

- This isn't good.

♪ ♪

- I got it!
- No, I got it!

- I got it!
- Huh?

[all groan]

[all sigh]

- Los Piratas are now
only ahead by one run!

Who's going to win?

This is the best game
I've played in years.

- We're doomed!

We're not gonna get the trophy,

and I had to spend
the last hour of my life

on a team with all of you?

- Wait a second.

Team?

Hey, Pirate Protector,

weren't you blabbing on about

how you have
to play like a team?

- Exactamente, Pepito!

- Then we should just do that?

- I guess nothing else
has worked.

- Bring it in, team.

[optimistic music]

Piratas on three?

Uno, dos, tres.

all: Piratas!

- We just have
to get three outs.

Let's finish this game.

- The next batter
is a real slugger.

[both gasp]

- [grunts]

- [gasps]

- A deep blast
into the outfield!

- [gasps]

Piratas ahoy!

[grunts]

- [gasps]
- That's one out!

- Go, Santi, go!

- Over here!

- [groans]

- Aquí!

[cackles] Gotcha!

- That's two outs!

- [gasps]
Throw it to Bonnie!

- [strains]

- Not so fast, swab.

[buzzer blares, bell dings]

- That's three outs!

Los Piratas have won the game!

[both cheer]

[all cheer]

- "Ball-base"
really is beautiful.

[both gasp]

[all gasp]

- So this is what
it feels like

to win treasure
and not steal it?

Huh.
- [laughs]

What a great game!
