[Peter] "The Tale
of Cotton-tail's Treetop Tumble."

[all laughing]

Lily, Lily.

Are you sure this is going to work, boys?

Of course it is, Lily.

You do know what you're doing,
right, Peter?

Sure do.

When I give the signal,
you turn the lever like this.

Like this? Got it.

Whoa!

-[whirring]
-Oopsie!

Whoa!

-Wow!
-Nice one, Lily.

I didn't know
you could hit a nut that far.

Neither did I. I mean,
I thought maybe I could.

And then, bam, I did it!
And then, wow, look at it go!

My turn.

Watch this.

-[Benjamin] Ready?
-Ready.

Okay.

Here you go.

-[grunts]
-[Cotton-tail cheers]

-[sputtering]
-Uh-oh!

-Uh… um…
-Oh, no.

-[exclaims]
-[grunting]

How do we stop it?

Pull the leaver the other way!

[Benjamin] But the lever's stuck.

[Peter] Pull harder!

Huh! What the… What?

Oh, tail feathers! Whoa! Whoa! Ow!

-[Benjamin] Pull harder.
-[Peter] Come on!

[Lily] I'm doing my best.

Rackety rabbits!

Can't an owl sleep
without being harassed by hazelnuts?

[all grunting]

[all] Phew!

[all laugh]

Again! Again!

-[Old Brown] Again?
-[all gasp]

Not if I can help it,
you noisy nut throwers!

Old Brown! Run!

-[all screaming]
-[Cotton-tail giggling]

-Oh, nice birdie! Yoo-hoo!
-Oh, no!

[laughs cunningly]

[Cotton-tail giggling]

Cotton-tail!

-[Old Brown whoops]
-No!

-Whee!
-[Old Brown laughing]

Cotton-tail!

-Oh, no! We'll never catch her!
-[Benjamin whimpering]

Never say never! Let's go!

-[laughing]
-Whee!

Old Brown, let my sister go.

Not a chance!

It's time I taught you a lesson,
you naughty nuisances.

-[laughs cunningly]
-[Cotton-tail] Yeah!

The big pine tree!
I've got to get him to fly into it.

I've got it!

Uh, Old Brown, I can't quite hear you.
What did you say?

-He said--
-[whispering] I know what he said.

This is part of my plan.

It is?

I mean, of course it is.

Oh, I said, it's time I called you--
Oh! Ow! Oh! Ow!

Tail feathers!

[Cotton-tail giggling]

[Peter] Come on, Lily. Hurry, Benjamin.

Cotton-tail?

Yoo-hoo, Peter.

Are you okay?

[giggles] I'm okay.

Old Brown, he's coming back.

[Benjamin whimpering]

Peter, do want to try
your batting skills again?

Great idea, Lily. Ready?

-[Benjamin gasps]
-[grunts]

[grunts]

[Peter grunting]

[Benjamin] Here's some more!

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!

I'll be back. Mark my words, Peter Rabbit!

[Cotton-tail giggling]

Cotton-tail! Stay still!

Again! Again! Nice birdie!

No, Cotton-tail,
Old Brown is not a nice birdie.

Old Brown is a mean birdie.

How are we going to get her down?

[grunts]

[Mr. Tod] Baked or boiled, cold or hot,

I like rabbits

-in a pot.
-Mr. Tod. Quick, hide. In there.

Cotton-tail, be really, really quiet.

We're just going to hide for a second.

[whispering] Hide and seek?

Uh, kind of. Now, shh!

Shh!

[Mr. Tod humming]

[Mr. Tod] Huh?

Ew, pine cones?

What I really need
is a nice, juicy rabbit.

But it's not like they grow on…

-[Cotton-tail] Shh. Hide and seek.
-Huh?

-[giggles]
-[Mr. Tod] …trees.

Cotton-tail! Are you stuck
all alone in a tree?

Stuck. Yeah!

Hmm. Well, allow me to help you down
and onto my dinner plate.

-[chuckles cunningly]
-[all gasp]

[grunting]

[Cotton-tail giggles]

[grunting]

Oh!

It's okay. He can't reach her.

Mm. [grunting]

[yelping]

Oh, how annoying!

Wait, I've just the thing I need
to reach you back at home.

And I can get my cooking pot nice and warm
while I'm at it.

[giggling]

Don't go anywhere. I'll have you down
in no time, little bunny.

Thank you, Mr. Tod.

Eh?

Whoa!

Huh? Hmm.

[both] Phew!

Benjamin!

What? He said he was
going to help get Cotton-tail down.

Yes, so he can eat her.

[gulps] Oh, this is bad. Very bad.

We've got to get Cotton-tail down
before that greedy fox comes back.

We need something that can
reach up high and grab her.

Ouchie!

[giggling] Hi, Benjamin!

Whoa! Maybe we could shake the tree
and she'll fall down like a pine cone.

Oh, yay!

No, it's too risky.
She could hurt herself.

What about your dad's branch-breaker?
It can reach much higher than we can.

I know that for a fact.

Great idea. But we have to get it
before Mr. Tod comes back.

Benjamin, you stay here and keep watch.

Keep watch? No problem.

Let's hop to it!

Wait. What? [gulps] All by myself?

[whimpers]

Hmm, let me see.
That needs a smaller spanner, I think.

[humming]

-There it is, the branch-breaker!
-[Peter] Quick!

Jump on!

[Lily grunts]

Ah, that should do it.

[exclaims]

Oh.

How very odd!

Um… no.

Um… duh.

Hey, Cotton-tail. Who's this?

[clears throat]

[imitating Mr. Tod] Baked or boiled,
cold or hot, I like rabbit in the pot.

[giggles]

Hmm. what a mouthwatering thought.

-Whoa!
-[growls] Ow!

-[Benjamin yelping]

rabbits are brave. Huh!

Hey, you! Uh, you stay away from her.

[laughs]

Or what?

Oh! Ow!

Right, that's it! It's dinner time!

[sighs]

Oh, it's no use. I need something
really big to move this ladder.

How about a branch-breaker?

-[gasps] Peter! Lily! You got it!
-[Cotton-tail] Peter!

Okay, Lily, let's save Cotton-tail!

Yes!

Come here,
my fluffy little friend. [grunts]

[yelping]

[Mr. Tod] Help!

Now, Lily.

Cotton-tail, hop on the branch-breaker.

[grunts] Eh?

-Whee!
-[Mr. Tod] No!

Peter!

[yelping]

[Mr. Tod] Help! Oh! Somebody get me down.

Help!

[muttering]

Oh, not again! [groans]

You were so brave
to stand up to Mr. Tod, Benjamin

Pfft! Takes more than
some silly fox to scare me.

-[Old Brown] How about an angry owl?
-[both gasp]

[grunts]

Uh-oh. Yep, that should do it.

Let's get out of here!
