[Peter] "The Tale
of The Great Cake Chase."

[Peter] Come on, Lily! Hurry, Benjamin!

Where are we going?

[Benjamin pants] Coming!

We don't run like this
unless we're being chased by Mr. Tod.

[gasps] Are we being chased by Mr. Tod?

Nope. I promised Mom we'd go
to Ginger and Pickles' shop for her.

Oh, and I just like running fast!

[both giggle]

So… let me get this straight.

Mr. Tod’s not chasing us.

-[Mr. Tod clears throat]
-Huh?

-I wouldn't be so sure about that.
-[screams]

[all] Mr. Tod!

Off shopping?

Well, it so happens I'm shopping too.

-For rabbits! [snarls]
-[Peter] Run!

-Whoa!
-[laughs]

Sorry, Mr. Tod. Your shopping ends now!

[grunts] Argh!

Come back here. Oh.

[all giggling]

Where is everybody?

Um… Ginger? Pickles?

-[squawks]
-Ahhh!

Mrs. Puddle-Duck?

Ha!

[ducklings giggle]

Oh, my! [chuckles]

I'm not really Ginger or Pickles.

I'm just minding the shop for them
while they run some errands.

How may I help you today?

Let's see.

We need some bread.

Bread. I know right where that is.

Bread… bread!
I'm sure it's here somewhere.

Oh! Oh, oh,
it seems we're all out of bread.

Isn't that bread over there,
Mrs. Puddle-Duck?

Well, lookity-loo, so it is.
[chuckles nervously]

I'm a little new to this,

but I promised Ginger and Pickles

their shop would be in good hands.

[quacks] Well, wings!

-[laughs]
-Whoa!

I look after the shop just like
I look after my ducklings.

Ducklings? Ducklings?

Oh, where are my ducklings?

[shrieks] Oh, deary dear.

-[quacking]
-[all gasp]

[Peter] But, Mrs. Puddle-Duck, what about…

-the shop?
-[Benjamin] Oh…

Yes.

[Peter sighs]

-[stomach rumbling]
-Ugh.

I'm full of tummy growls and rumbles
when I should be full of cake.

Oh, what I wouldn’t do
for some ooey-gooey sweetness!

Oh, oh!

Oh, dear! Come back, ducklings!

I have to mind the shop!

Oh, come back. [screams]

Hmm.

If that dotty duck isn't minding the shop,
then who is?

[gasps] No one!

All those sweet treats and scrummy,
yummy cakes mine for the taking.

[laughs mischievously]

[Peter] Well, it looks like
we're in charge now.

Being in charge of a shop
is a big responsibility.

And I know that for a fact.

You've got to keep your eye on everything.

I’ve got this cake covered.

[softly] Don't worry, I'll look after you.

-Ah--
-Benjamin!

Huh? Oh, sorry.

[Lily giggles]

Well, I guess we can take care of the shop

until Mrs. Puddle-Duck comes back.

Everything seems pretty quiet.

[door opens]

Good morning!

-[Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle] What a busy day.
-[all gasp]

[Lily] Hi!

[Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle] Service!

-[Peter] May I help you?
-[Benjamin] Coming!

[Sammy laughs mischievously]

An empty shop means yummy,
scrummy cakes are mine, all mine!

[laughs mischievously]

Cake! Mmm.

[loud indistinct conversations]

[Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle] Service!

[Lily] No, we don’t have that here, sorry.

Excuse me. One at a time, please!

[shouting continues]

Hmm, that shop isn’t empty.

Getting my mitts on some cake
might be tougher than I thought.

[Lily] Over here!

-[Louisa] Um, cheese, please!
-[Lily] Yes, sorry,

what was that you wanted?

[Peter] We’ve got round cheese,
blue cheese and Swiss cheese.

Which one will it be?

-[all] All of them!
-Okay.

Okay, this way, please.

[giggles and ribbits]

Just can’t decide on which tin to choose.

What do you think, Lily?

Um… Sardines are sardines, aren't they?

This way, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle.

Come on now, Benjamin,
it’s washday tomorrow

and washing won’t wait.

I’ll be needing soap.

And a new washboard and a clothesline.

Soap! Er, washboard…

And other thing you said…

Clothesline.

Hang on.

[Benjamin] Maybe over here…

-There we go, all the cheese.
-Thank you.

[exhales] This shop
was a lot easier to run

when no one was here to buy anything.

Hmm.

I think I’ll choose this tin.

-No, wait, that one.
-[sighs]

Oh! How does one decide?

[laughs mischievously]

Chop, chop, Benjamin!

-Yeah!
-[laughs]

While those rabbits are busy,

I can take, take, take
my cake, cake, cake.

-[Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle] Service!
-[Benjamin] Coming!

Oh!

A-ha! I've made a decision, Lily.

Great.

I'll take this one!

-Huh? [screams]
-Ahhh!

Whoa.

[all screaming]

Oh, dear.

[Lily] Oh, no!

[laughs cunningly]

Oh!

[sighs]

Maybe we’re not cut out
for running a shop after all.

Don’t worry, we’ll have this
cleaned up in no time.

I'm sure you will, Peter.

Remember, a tidy workplace
makes for a tidy profit.

Thanks for shopping
at Ginger and Pickles’.

Come again now.

-Whoa.
-Thanks for the cheese!

-Cheese, my favorite!
-Have a nice day.

-[Benjamin] Bye!
-Hmm.

Now which one was the one I wanted?

This one? No.

This one? No!

A little help here, Lily!

[sighs] Coming, Mr. Fisher.

I'm sure they all taste the same,
Mr. Fisher.

Now is my chance! [laughs cunningly]

Bye, now! Enjoy that cake.

I've had my eye on that all day.

Thanks, I plan to. [continues laughing]

[grunting]

[gasps] Hey!

Who sold that cake to Sammy Whiskers?

-Sammy Whiskers?
-Not me!

[gasps] Oh, no!

Sammy Whiskers stole the cake!

-Let's go!
-[clears throat] Lily,

I’m waiting.

You guys go after him.

I'm dealing with a difficult customer.

Whoa.

[panting]

Why bake a cake when you can take a cake?

[laughs triumphantly]

-Huh?
-[Peter] I think he went this way.

[gasps] Oh, no.

Ahhh!

[breathes deeply] Looks like we lost him.

Sammy Whiskers isn't that fast.

[gasps] Look! Crumbs!

-Mmm…
-Benjamin!

I need an energy boost.

-[Sammy laughing]
-[Peter] There!

-[gasp]
-We've got him now!

-Hey!
-[Benjamin pants] Stop.

Whoa!

Come back with our cake!

[both grunt]

-[Mr. Tod] Cake? No, no.
-[both gasp]

I'm not ready for dessert just yet.

Not till I've had my main course.

-[snarls]
-[both scream]

my helpful little rabbits.

Hmm. Thank you so much

[all laughing]

Hmm, that's odd. I don't remember this.

Mind you, I'd forget my own beak
if it wasn't right in front of me.

[all laughing]
