[Peter] "The Tale of The New Hideout."

[grunts and pants]

You've escaped me
for the last time Peter Rabbit!

[Benjamin] Rabbits are brave,
rabbits are… [grunts]

-Help!
-Benjamin!

-[Mr. Tod] Come back here, rabbits!
-[Benjamin] Whoa!

We need somewhere to hide.

Quick, follow me!

-[Peter] Whoa.
-[Lily grunts]

[all] Whoa!

[Peter] Hurry!

[Benjamin] Ugh. Phew!

Ooh!

[muffled] You're not getting away from me
that easily, rabbits. [groans]

-[laughter]
-[Peter] This way.

[Mr. Tod] You can run, but you can't hide.

-[Benjamin nervously] Uh!
-Shh!

[laughs] I've got you.

Oh. Where did those rabbits go?

[Benjamin] Phew.

Well, they can't have just vanished.

[Mr. Tod screams]

[all laughing]

[Mr. Tod groans]

-[kisses] Good old secret tree-house.
-[laughs]

I'd say it's time to plan
our next garden raid at Mr. McGregor's.

[Benjamin's stomach rumbles] Whoa!

My tummy says that's a good idea.

The carrots will be ready for picking,

and I know that for a fact.

Uh! [gasps]

What?

-[Benjamin] Ahhh!
-Hey!

[Nutkin laughs]

Oh, no, you don't!

-There's no escaping squirrel Nutkin.
-[both laugh]

I've got my eye on you.

Uh, why is our treehouse full of nuts?

What nuts? Where?

Oh, you mean those nuts.

It's been the best harvest
in squirrel history.

We needed storage, and lots of it.

But, Nutkin,

the treehouse is where we hide
from Old Brown,

Tommy Brock, Mr. McGregor's cat.

Not to mention rain, hail, wind and…

-Oh, yeah, Mr. Tod.
-Oh! Where?

Uh… [chuckles nervously]

Just keeping you all on your toes.

Ha! Don't worry.

You'll get your treehouse back
when we've eaten all the nuts.

Say by, hmm, next spring?

Spring?

Nutkin, wait.

But, Peter, spring is one, two, three…

Uh, a bazillion months away.

What will we do? Where will we go?

Hmm.

We'll just have to set up
a new secret hideout,

somewhere no one can find us.

[all] Hmm.

And I think I know just the place.

Uh-uh.

[Peter] How about the ravine?

Hardly anyone ever comes down here.

And it's got nooks and crannies and--

Lots and lots of stones.

It'll have to do, I suppose.

And it's only until next spring.

[all straining]

Welcome to our new secret hideout!

I love it!

It's private, sturdy and 100% safe.

-[Tommy] What?
-Whoa!

You woke me up.

-[growls]
-Wah!

Forget everything I said. Whoa!

[Tommy growls]

Just come back here.

Oh.

I'll get you. [groans]

I've made a list of things we need to have

for a completely safe hideout.

Walls, a strong door,
a roof, a secret entrance,

a special escape route…

Look at that! It's perfect.

[laughs]

Or we could just hide under an old boat.

[sighs] Come on, Benjamin.

It's got a roof, it's private,

and, on the plus side,
there are no badgers.

There's not much room either.

I think it's kind of cozy.

Ow! Benjamin,
watch where you put your paw.

[all scream]

Benjamin.

[Benjamin] Sorry,
that wasn't supposed to happen.

-[all laugh]
-[Benjamin] Now what?

Unless I'm mistaken,

that sounds just like… rabbits.
[chuckles]

Okay, maybe no one
will find us under here,

but I can't move my legs.

Hmm. You're right, Lily.

I've got a better idea.

Why don't we try the farmyard?

-Ah-ha!
-[all scream]

-Mr. Tod!
-[screaming continues]

Ooh!

Ow! Ooh! Ah!

What? Oh, no.

Filthy, messy mud.

[grumbles and sighs]

Well, never mind.

I know where they're going
and I'll follow them just as soon…

[straining] …as I get free…of this…

-Whoa!
-[splashes]

Plenty of places to build
a new hideout here.

[Peter] In the hay bales,
behind the tractor,

under the millstone.

All seem pretty safe.

But let's make sure
no one finds out about it.

Let's keep it a secret.

-[grunts]
-[Benjamin screams]

Got you, mouse.

-Oh, it's you.
-Mittens!

Hey, why are you creeping around
my farmyard?

This is our new hideout.

So much for keeping it a secret.

Somewhere where we can
plan our garden raids

and keep out of sight
from foxes and badgers,

not that I'm scared.

I'm not scared of anything.

-Ow! [hisses]
-Wah!

Well, why didn't you just say so?

If it's a hideout you want,
you can use the hay bales.

-I'll even keep a lookout for you.
-Really?

Thanks, Mittens. But no one else can know.

[Pig Robinson] Except me!

I heard the whole thing.

A secret rabbity hideout
right here in the farmyard?

Wowsers!

Let me help. Please!

[snorts]

Okay.

Just Mittens and you can know,
but that's it.

-[Mittens mews]
-Plenty of space to make plans.

Ah, plenty of space to relax.

And, most importantly,
plenty of space to hide.

-Boo!
-Wah!

[laughs]

Hmm, this hideout just needs
a little something else.

Decoration!

I've got a painting of a sprout
that'll brighten it up.

Back in the tug of a tail. [snorts]

[humming]

-Hello, Pig Robinson.
-[snorts]

Oh, we're very close.

I want to invite him
to a very special dinner.

[chuckles] Nothing.
