I think being away so much
kind of makes you appreciate

hanging out with your family a lot more.

I was like, "Can you believe
Stanley's closed?"

I remember you were in with your dad.

-You were sitting in a corner,

and I said, "God, I didn't know
he had a daughter."

Kim's gonna eat, because she's pregnant,

-while we're doing the meeting.

-Haven't seen you guys forever.

Kim and I were talking when we realized

we were gonna go to lunch
one day, all of us,

and we heard Stanley's was closed,

and first, we were mad.

We were like, we couldn't get a warning
to have one last Amy's salad

and the Chinese chicken salad
and all of our favorites.

And then we all started thinking

about all the things we were gonna be
missing in our life.

And, Kim and I said, well, "Wait a minute.

Calabasas has no great restaurants."

[Kris]
And so, we're obviously very interested.

What does it mean to get
into the restaurant business together?

It has to be a fun,
like, clubhouse for you guys.

[Kim] Should we call this Dash Diner?

-Dine and Dash?
-[Khloé] Dine and Dash.

-It's sort of cute.
-We could do

Kris's pasta primavera

and Kris's rice pilaf.

Maybe Kris's swordfish.

[Khloé] None of those things sound like
I want them in my restaurant.

You need to, like,
maybe pump the brakes a tad.

I get excited.

I haven't seen Scott since months ago.

So, I'm surprised to see him.

I was just coming to say hi
to your mom. I didn't know

every person in the world was here.

[Kourtney] I knew that my mom
and Scott have been trying

to have a conversation.

-[Kris] Look at you.

But I had no idea that today

is when they were going to be talking.

[Kourtney]
I'm just a little bit caught off guard.

It just makes me a little bit anxious.

[Kourtney] Where are you guys talking?

I mean, I feel like
I haven't spoke to anybody…

-…in three months, so.

-So why don't you go get your sisters?
-So why don't you talk to them?

-[Scott] With you.

[Khloé] Yeah, coming.

[Kourtney] Scott wanted to talk to you.

[Khloé] Oh! Finally!

Khloé just said to me

that she hasn't talked to you
in a long time.

I haven't talked to anybody
in a long time.

Kim!

Oh, he's talking to everyone?
It's, like, serious?

I mean, I don't know. I just feel like…

[Khloé] Are you gonna wear
your glasses for this meeting?

-Well, yeah.

-[Scott] I'm in a pretty

awesome place in my life.

And it's been really easy.

You know, it's so hard seeing
my children on a trip.

That was the first trip
that I've never been on with my own kids.

I was so jealous and scared
that I chartered a plane

and brought a bunch of people
to Mexico that I didn't even know.

Just to, like, make myself feel better,

and all it's done
is make myself feel worse.

You know, you guys were
the only people I ever had,

so being an only child
and then not even having parents,

it's, like, it's very scary.

Dealing with this by myself
has not been, like…

[Khloé] Yeah, but you act
like we made that choice.

[Scott] Listen.

Like, you made that choice,
so don't put that on our shoulders.

I'm not putting it on anybody's shoulder.

You just did by saying that though.

Like that, like,
you're not gonna shift blame.

I'm not shifting blame,
I realize I'm in the wrong.

[Scott]
And I've been in the wrong a long time.

Trust me, if you didn't have
one person alive in your family

when you went through
your divorce with Lamar,

you wouldn't be doing all that well.

I'm sure.

-It was the hardest thing.
-[Scott] Like, you guys are super lucky

-that you have each other.
-Yeah.

And I'm not here to, like,
make excuses and justify

-and try to get anybody to be on my side.
-Right, but also that "woe is me" thing.

It's like, we were "woe is you,"
we were trying to help you

and be there for you
and sympathize with you.

And we still love you and want to do that.

But for you to say,
this has been tough for me to go through,

we never wanted you to go through this.

-We always wanted to be there with you.
-[Scott] I agree with you.

You know,
I'm really glad that Khloé's here

'cause she always speaks her mind.

[Kim] I think she's saying all the things
that Kourtney wishes she could say.

And that makes me just really happy

that Khloé can really
stand up for Kourtney.

It's just sad, because, you know,

I considered everybody
in this house, like…

my sister, my mom,

you know what I mean? And it's just like--

It's not like, "Oh, Scott's gone,
it's so easy." Like, no. It's--

Well, I mean, I'm happy to hear that,
obviously, in my mind.

Because of my insecurities,

I feel like everyone's just,
like, leaning on each other,

like, "No big deal, let's move on,

Scott's out of here,
let's move to the next one."

[Scott] You know, it was weird for me
to lose not just her,

but, like, everybody else
I knew, you know?

[Khloé] This is the stuff
that I don't understand.

You say, "Oh, I don't have a family

and I don't have all these things."

[Khloé] And then we give you one.

Why do you, like, destroy it?

[Scott] I'm sure you guys have heard a lot
of horrible things about me

that I should've just been honest with.
But I was too ashamed

that I was gonna hurt everybody
in this family and not just her.

[Scott] And I've apologized to Kourtney
a hundred times.

But I've never apologized
to, like, all of you

for letting all of you down
and embarrassing you guys and…

I understand I need to help myself

way before I can help her
or my kids or whatever.

But it's just been a really hard time…

[Scott sobs softly]
…going from, like…

having all of you guys
to having nobody, you know?

It's like…

[Scott] But I'm, like,
living in a house by myself.

You know, I want to pick up the phone

and call my mom and dad
and be like, "Tell me,

how the hell, on your side,
to, like, figure this out.

What… should I go somewhere?
Should I do something?"

It's just not as easy as you think
when you have addiction issues

and, like, I'm just so ashamed that, like,

I publicly embarrassed all of you.

You guys really did so much for me
for so many years and it's just…

It kills me to the point
that I feel like I can't make it up.

-[sobbing]

[Kris] People are human
and they make mistakes.

We've all been through enough [bleep]

that I don't think
anybody sitting here today

is worried about the perception
of being embarrassed.

And I never want you to feel abandoned.

I mean, I can't imagine
what that feels like,

but I never want you to feel that way.

But when you are on this downward spiral,

we want to make…
It's like, I was very conflicted,

because I want to make sure
you're okay, too.

[Kris] You're the father
of my grandchildren.

-[Scott] No, I know.
-[Kris] We love you.

I… The love… you just don't
turn love off like a switch.

I didn't want everybody to just think

that I had no care in the world

and I just floated around town
and did whatever I wanted to do.

[somber music]

You know how many times
I've wanted to come over

and sit with you and just explain

and go through all the reasons
of how I got here?

I've never been this unhappy
in my life, you know?

It's like…

It's just terrible to, like…
I don't, like…

If I didn't have those kids,
I would k*ll myself.

[somber music]

But I have them and I'm gonna be here,

and I'm gonna make it right
for them, you know?

You know, I just…

I just hope that somehow, like…

you know, I'm not that I'm religious, but…

God can, like,
give me a chance or us a chance

at this or something.

Because, like, I just know

I'll never have the happiness
that I would have otherwise.

And, you know, it's been nice

having you guys
in my life for so long, so.

It's weird to lose that many people

that quick, you know?

We all love you very much.

And you can say that, you know…

It breaks my heart to see her in pain.

it's one of the hardest things
you can go through as a mom

to see your kid, you know, struggling.

[Kris] And all that we ever wanted
for you guys was to be happy.

But you have to make the decision

that what you want
is to be a partner and a dad

and involved and present and committed

and you fight for what you want,
and you need and you love,

and you show somebody.

If you and Kourt are together or not,
like, I still care about you.

-And I want the best for you.
-[Kim] We all do.

And what you did was [bleep] up,

but I appreciate you're saying something,

because I was really disappointed in you.

I think what Kourtney wants to see
most out of you is action.

She might not be as vulnerable,
and to say it, as I am,

but Kourtney wants to see
that you have faith in your own self.

So she could believe in you
that much stronger.

[Kim] But I don't think
it's also healthy for Kourtney,

and I think she knows this,

to spend so much energy
always helping you,

when all you do is, like, [bleep] on her.

-[Scott] Agreed.
-So I think that's why she…

[Kourtney] And I want someone
who also helps me.

-[Scott] I want to help you.
-[Kourtney] Not just that I'm helping.

-[Scott] I agree. You need somebody…
-And somebody--

…that you could stand on.

I think Scott always means it

when he says
that he wants to make a change.

I just think he really
doesn't know how to get there.

I want to be able to be the man
that you've always wanted.

[Scott] I could party, I could go out
every night, I could do whatever,

that's not the life I really want.

I… I know what I want
and I may not get it.

But… I know
that I would literally hate myself

for the rest of my life
if I didn't at least try.

[Scott] And I realize that
if I don't make a change now,

like, it'll never be able to be okay.

And it may not be,
but I'm damn well gonna try

and I just wanted you guys to know that

and I wanted to see you guys.

And I just love you all
and miss you guys so much, you know?
