Hey, wait for me!

Everyone ready for an awesome weekend?

I know I am!

I can't wait to meet some of the original cadets

who went through the academy. How cool is that?

How about you, Raven? Aren't you stoked?

Yeah, sure.

As you know, Stardust Bay All-Star Weekend

is just around the corner.

And I have put together

a surprise tribute to some of my classmates.

Thought I'd give you a little preview.

Impressive!

That's me. [chuckles]

I was just a kid.

You were really fast back then, Headmaster.

And now?

Uh, well, uh, what I, um...

W-what I mean is--

What Robyn means is, uh...

I was just joking.

It was a long time ago.

We were all more athletic then.

Ah, watch this. It's quite something.

Whoa! Awesome!

I've never seen a move like that!

Headmaster Crane: Falcon Fairflight.

He was amazing.

A little wild, but that cadet

could turn space into his own private playground.

Is he coming to All-Star Weekend?

I wanna meet him. Me too!

Sadly, no. Falcon is no longer with us.

But he lived a long and good life.

Remember the past. Discover the future.

Ready, set, go!

Hey, Raven, bet you wish you could do

that triple cork-- huh? Where'd he go?

Raven's been acting a little weird all day.

I wonder what's up with him?

As a wise rocket once said,

"The path to discovering one's self

is best trod by first identifying one's problem."

All-Star Weekend is gonna be a blast!

I can't wait!

Sorry, Eagle, you have to wait.

But I can't!

But you have to.

But I don't wanna.

But you have to. But I--

Eagle, Robyn, Hawk! You've got to see this!

We all know Raven's got a wild streak,

but what's he up to now?

Looks like he's trying to do a triple corkscrew.

A triple corkscrew!

We just watched a video of Headmaster Crane

and some of his old classmates.

And we saw Falcon do one.

[chuckling]

I remember when he did those.

You knew Falcon?

Who didn't?

That rocket was a legend in his own time.

What was he like, Coot?

Brash, a bit of a daredevil.

But, boy, that cadet had all the right stuff.

He could do things in space

the rest of us only dreamed of!

[chuckling]

The triple corkscrew. [chuckling]

Now Raven's trying to do it too.

He thinks he's Falcon Fairflight.

But he doesn't look or move or fly anything like him.

Hate to say this, but I tried for years

to do the triple corkscrew,

and even I couldn't master it.

Falcon was the only one I ever knew

who could perform that maneuver!

Looks like he's still the only one.

Coach Pigeon: Shift your weight, Raven.

Shift it!

You okay?

Yeah, yeah, no problem.

Try it again.

Only make your turns more precise.

And faster this time.

I don't get it, Coach.

If Falcon could do it, why can't I?

For one thing, you're not Falcon.

But what am I doing wrong?

All right, here's the key.

You can't slow down.

The roll has to happen at full throttle.

No hesitation, no doubts.

That's the tricky part.

That why nobody else has done it?

It takes courage and skill, kid.

And Falcon had plenty of both.

Let's try again.

Mmm, yum.

This makes my fins spin.

What are you having today, Hawk?

Coconut raspberry. Wanna try?

No thanks.

I'll stick with cherry vanilla.

Hey, Raven. Any luck with the triple?

I'm working on it.

You've been awfully quiet lately.

Something bothering you?

No, nothing.

You know, the path to trodding one's self

is best identified by first discovering someone's problem.

Huh? What's that supposed to mean?

I, uh... I'm not sure exactly.

Later.

What? That's what Headmaster Crane said.

Falcon was an amazing cadet.

Headmaster Crane, I, uh...

I saw Coot and Coach Pigeon.

They told me you've been working

on the triple corkscrew.

Trying, that's about it.

I haven't pulled it off yet.

You know, just because Falcon did it

doesn't mean you have to.

Maybe.

You don't have anything to prove to me, Raven.

Or anyone else here.

I need to prove something to myself.

What made Falcon who he was

is not so much the skill he possessed,

but it's what he possessed here.

It's what he had inside that made him special.

Inside?

He believed that anything was possible.

Some said he was a dreamer.

Others said he was just a show-off.

[chuckling]

I get that.

I say he was both.

Once he set his mind to something,

no matter how impossible it seemed,

he always accomplished it.

Did you guys like him?

Oh, yes.

Maybe we didn't always say so, but, yes, we did.

You're a lot like him, Raven.

You really think so?

It's not what I think that matters.

It's what you think.

Falcon: Remember the past, discover the future.

Whoo! [laughing]

[humming]

Eagle: Hawk? Morning, Eagle.

Ready for the big day?

Can't wait.

But you have to wait.

But I can't.

But you have to.

[laughing]

Have you seen my toothpaste?

Uh, toothpaste?

That toothpaste.

Oh, that toothpaste.

I ran out and, um... I thought you wouldn't mind.

I don't. Any left?

Sure. Nice flavor.

French Vanilla Fudge Fuel.

Makes your rivets stand up and salute,

and it's cold to boot. Thanks.

Hey, have you seen Raven this morning?

No, uh-uh. Have you?

Nope... weird.

Eagle: Hey, Raven...

Been looking all over for you.

Come on, it's time for the ceremony.

[chatter]

I'd like to welcome some of my former classmates back

for this very special reunion.

Say hello to Bobolink, Dunlin, Woodpecker and Falcon,

one of the greatest racers

ever to graduate from Stardust Space Academy.

Oh! Right! Yeah!

As some of you remember,

Falcon lived a long and happy life.

And even though he's no longer with us,

he is here in spirit.

His son has been a proud member of this academy

for some time now.

His son? Here?

I had no idea. Me neither.

This young cadet has been determined

to prove his mettle on his own

and not merely trade on the reputation of his father.

Raven?

Raven is Falcon's son?!

Please, come up here.

I can't believe we didn't know!

Why didn't you tell us?

Like Hawk said,

I needed to work on my trodding.

You know, I thought you looked

and moved and flew like Falcon Fairflight.

I'm sure your father would be very proud

of what you've accomplished here at Stardust Bay.

Anything you want to say?

[clears throat] I, uh...

just wanted to say that, uh...

that I miss him.

Okay, let's show 'em what we can still do.

[chuckling] I hope.

Ready? All: Ready!

May I? Please do.

Remember the past, discover the future.

Ready, set, go!

He did it!

Way to go, Raven!

Looks like you've got that trodding thing down

pretty good now.

[laughter]

I think what Hawk is trying to say is that...

your dad would be so proud of you today.

Yeah, that was amazing, Raven.

Thanks, guys.
