NARRATOR: As summer came to a close in Word World,

Cat was preparing for a very special day.

And when I raise this flag,

the first day of school begins.

[meowing]

[school bell ringing]

[barks]

I'm Cat, your teacher.

DUCK: Incoming!

[whooping]

[falsetto]: No Shark here.

I'm just a bush.

Shark!

What are you doing?

[normal voice]: Uh...

Because... I'm scared.

There's nothing to be scared about, Shark.

It's going to be great!

There's singing and playing

and word-building and...

And a lot of stuff I don't know.

It's okay if you don't know something, Shark.

We go to school to learn.

Well, what if I make a mistake?

It's good to make mistakes.

That's how we learn.

The first day of school parade.

At the end of the day, all the new students

parade around Word World,

and everyone cheers for you.

[purrs, meows]

We can't miss the parade!

Let's get to school!

SHARK:Okay.

NARRATOR: With the help of his good WordFriend, Duck,

Shark found the courage to take that big first step

on a very big first day of school.

[gasps, quacks]

School has so much fun stuff!

Oh! Eh! Oh!

What should we play with first?

[gasps]

[excited grunting]

[chuckles]

[quacks]

Hey, Shark, look at me!

I'm a cowboy!

Shark? Shark?

Where are you?

Oh! Oh! Shark! Come here!

We're playing dress-up.

Really? Dress-up?

That sounds fun.

[Shark screams]

Oh, no!

Hmm... oopsie.

Looks like we have a spill.

I'm sorry.

It was a mistake.

It's okay, Shark.

We all make mistakes.

And this gives us a chance to learn.

Who wants to help me build a word?

Not me.

Me-me! Me! Me! Me![quacks]

Okay, Duck.

I'm going to sing a song.

At the end of the song,

you have to guess what word I need.

And then build it with me. Okay?

[chuckles]

That's a lot of pictures.

Well, I know a lot of fish.

Wha...? Oh!

[both laughing]

And we're in a school.

A "school" of fish, get it?

A whole bunch of fish.

You know, Shark,

if you put your pictures in your cubbyhole,

you can take them home later.

I can? Oh!

Then I can give one to Crab!

I'm sure he'd like that.

Whoa! Whoa!

Oh, no![meows]

Oopsie!

I'm sorry. It was a mistake.

It's okay, Shark.

It's not easy to carry all those pictures.

I think you could use some help.

[meows]

[whines excitedly]

[all groaning]

But I was having so much fun.

[blows whistle]

[excited chatter]

So there's a very important word

we have to build for our parade.

And you can't have a pajama party

right here at our pajama party.

Because the Tooth Fairy will come

while you're sleeping, and give you a present.

Like a purple lollipop?

Yeah! While you're sleeping, she'll take your tooth

and leave behind a present instead!

But you have to be asleep for her to come.

Why?

Because the Tooth Fairy only comes when you're asleep.

Why?

She's shy.

Ah! Then let's go to sleep right now!

[grunts]

[sighs]

Night, Duck.

Night, tooth.

[snoring]

NARRATOR: So Duck and Shark went to sleep.

Letter "P..."

NARRATOR: But there was one problem.

[groans]

I can't sleep.

Duck...?

[mumbling]

Duck!

Oh, dear!

Duck, I can't sleep.

Huh? What?

You got to go to sleep!

Otherwise, the Tooth Fairy won't come!

I know, I know.

Duck, you have to help me fall asleep.

Don't you worry, Shark.

I will help you fall asleep.

[sighs]: Now, hmm,

let's think a minute.

You can't fall asleep.

Well, uh, how do you usually sleep?

Well, at home, I-I sleep in the water.

[gasps]: In the water-- of course!

So you need to sleep in something

that we can fill with water.

[gasps]: I know just the word you need!

And it starts with the letter "P,"

and the letter "P" makes the "puh" sound.

[grunts]

Feeling sleepy?

[groans]: Uh, no.

Uh, that's not gonna work, is it?

[grunting]

[exhales]: So, uh, what else helps you fall asleep at home?

Well, sometimes Crab sings me a lullaby

to help me fall asleep.

[playing loud rock intro]

NARRATOR: Duck's song didn't help Shark sleep.

In fact, it was so loud that it woke up...

[loud music continues]

so the Tooth Fairy can come.

The Tooth Fairy?

Yes! My first one!

Congratulations, Shark.

You know, I happen to be something of a Tooth Fairy expert.

Ooh! Ooh!

When you lose a tooth, you need to put it under a pillow.

A pillow?

Yes. The Tooth Fairy takes the tooth out

from under the pillow and leaves you a present.

Yay! Ooh!

[gasps]: And...

a pillow is great for helping you fall asleep!

You're right!

I always sleep with a pillow at home!

So we need to build you a pillow!

And puh, puh, pillow starts with the letter "P"!

Shark finally fell asleep.

Did it work? Did the Tooth Fairy come?

[groans]

Oh! Hey, let's see!

[gasps]

Look what the Tooth Fairy left under my pillow!

NARRATOR: With the help of a puh, puh, pillow,

Shark got a good night's sleep
