NARRATOR: It was a lovely morning inWorld World.

And Frog had a nice surprise waiting for him.

Hey!

[croaks]

I've got mail today!

[grunts]

Hi! Hello! Hiya!

Uh, hi, Bugs.

Whoa, what you got there, Frog?!

Follow me and I'll show you.

[croaks]

BEE: Ooh, I'm so excited!

Yeah! Yeah! What's in the box?

What'd you get? What'd you get?

Hmm, let's see.

Great!

It's my new bed.

That doesn't look like a bed to me.

Yeah, it's just a bunch of lower case letters.

Well, that's because I haven't built it yet.

But the letters "B," "E," and "D"

are all we need to build a bed.

But how do you know

which letter goes first?

We'll just sound it out.

Sound it out.

What does that mean?

That means saying the sound of the letters one by one

and then using the sounds to make a word.

B-E-D.

"Buh," "eh," "de."

Bed.

This is the "E," I can tell that,

but which is the "B" and which is the "D" again?

This one's the letter "B."

No, that's the "D" and this is the "B."

Or is that the "B" and this is the "D?"

I can't--

I can't tell!

The "B" and "D" look an awful lot alike.

They sure do.

But I'll show you a way to tell them apart.

Listen.

♪ Here's a trick that's great ♪

♪ First is a line

♪ Standing tall and straight ♪

♪ Next is a circle like a pillow for your head ♪

♪ That's the "B"

♪ The first letter in bed... ♪

♪ That's the letter "D"

♪ Isn't that great?

KIDS: Bed!

Ah, my new bed!

Hey, Bugs, want to have a sleepover tonight?

We can play tag, drink warm milk,

and tell bedtime stories.

Oh, oh!A sleepover!

I just need to borrow some extra pillows from Duck.

This is exciting.

I've never slept on a bed before.

Yeah, I sleep in a smelly old shoe.

[all laugh]

[singsongy]: A bed, a bed!

We're bouncing on a bed!

Hmm. I like that song.

I'm flying like a bug.

Be careful, boys.

The bed is going to...

Oh! Oh!

What are we going to do?

If Frog comes back and sees that we broke his bed,

he won't be happy.

I don't want Frog to be unhappy.

There's only one thing for us to do.

Hide?

No. We need to rebuild the word "bed"

before Frog gets back.

B-E-D.

"Buh," "eh," "de."

Here's the "E."

It goes in the middle.

And this is the first letter.

The letter "B."

That's not the "B."

I have the "B."

I have the letter "B."

Or do you have the letter "B?"

Uh, maybe.

Or-or is this the letter "B?"

I don't know.

The letter "B" and the letter "D"

both look the same to me.

Pardon me, boys, but what about Frog's song?

What about it?

It tells us the difference between the letters "B" and "D."

Remember?

[gasps] We should sing it!

Oh, song schmong.

I know a way to tell the letters apart.

This nose can sniff out which letter is which.

All right, so stand back and watch

a professional sniffer at work.

[sniffing]

Aha!

Uh, uh-oh.

I'm stuck!

Can I get a little help, please?

[grunting]

Whoa!

Whoa! Whoa!

Oh, now I'm stuck.

Here, I'll help you.

[grunting]

You're silly, Bug.

That's not how you tell the letter "D" from the letter "B."

You have to taste it.

Well?

Did it taste like a "B" or a "D?"

Neither.

Ugh. It tastes like yuck.

Blah!

Ew.

Excuse me, boys,

but all we have to do is sing the song

that Frog taught us.

♪ Line then circle is the letter "B"... ♪

No, no, no, no.

That-that won't help us.

But I know what will.

The way to find out which letter is which

is to ask them to dance with you.

Now-now-now watch this.

I call this "The Letter "B" Boogie."

When the letter "B" sees this,

it'll jump up and boogie with me.

Boo-boo-boogie!

Maybe the letter "B" doesn't like to boogie,

but I know the letter "D" will want to dance.

Da-da-dance!

Come on, letter "B," let's boogie!

Uh-oh.

Come on, letter "D," let's dance!

Oy!

Well, that didn't work.

No.

There's only one thing left to do.

Sing Frog's song?

No.

We're going to tickle them

until they tell us which one is the "B"

and which one is the "D."

Watch this!

Oh no.

Tickle, tickle, tickle.

Tell us which one of you is the "B."

Tickle, tickle,tickle.Tickle, tickle, tickle.

Come on. Which one's the "D?"

I don't think that's going to work.

Oh, stop it!

So I guess that didn't work.

Oh, this is bad.

We tried everything.

That means we can't rebuild Frog's bed.

FROG: Hey, Bugs!

[croaks]

I got the pillows!

Frog's coming!

What are we going to do?

Um, how about we sing Frog's song?

Oh, right!

Frog's song!

Hey, great idea, Bee!

How come you didn't say so before?

I did.

Oh, yeah, right.

Um, sorry, Bee.

I guess we weren't paying attention.

How does it go again?

I don't remember. Me neither.

How does it go?

Oh yeah!

We did it!

We figured out the difference

between the letter "B" and the letter "D."

This is the letter "B,"

and this is the letter "D."

And now it's time to...

Frog has his beautiful, comfy bed back again.

NARRATOR: It looks like the Bugs figured out the difference

between the letters "B" and "D" just in time.

Hi, Bugs, I'm back!

Ready for our sleepover?

Um, Frog, um,

we have something to tell you.

Um, we were bouncing on your bed...

And we broke it.

And we couldn'tfix it,

because we couldn't remember which letter was the "D"

and which letter was the "B."

But then we remembered to sing the song you taught us.

♪ Line then circle is the letter "B" ♪

♪ Circle then line is the letter "D." ♪

Oh.

BUGS: We're sorry we broke your bed.

Oh, well, that's all right.

Besides, now you know the difference

between the letter "B" and the letter "D."

So, who's up for a game of tag?

Me! Me! Me!I am! I am!

Buddy, you know I am.Oh, you know I love tag!

Tag, Frog.

You're it!

NARRATOR: The Bugs not only learned how to tell the difference

between the letters "B" and "D,"

they also had a really fun sleepover.

[laughing]

NARRATOR: The end.

KIDS: Pig!

Hey, everyone.

You're just in time for the Rhyming Square Dance.

And after, we'll all go on a hayride.

[whooping laughter]

[all grunting, music stops]

DUCK [gasps]: Oh, no.

Um... where's the cart, Pig?

[gasps]: The cart.

Oh, we broke the cart.

We can't go on a hayride without a cart.

Well, what are we going to do?

Don't worry.

We still have the letters.

We just need to...[music playing]

ALL: Build a word!

KIDS: Cart!

♪ Yeah, we just built a word

[Pig laughs]

[cheering]

[Pig laughing]

I can't fall asleep.

Hmm. Well...

maybe some running around might make you tired

so youcanfall asleep.

Like in a nice game of tag.

And I've got the best tag-playing partner

in all of Word World.

Buh...

Ug.

KIDS: Bug!

Evening, Bug.

[yawns]

What's up, Frog?

I am.

I can't sleep.

And I was wondering,

would you be up for a game of tag?

Tag?!

I'm always ready.

You're it!

[laughs]

Missed me! [laughs]

Wah!

[croaks]

Whoa!

NARRATOR: Ooh. Almost got him, Frog.

[laughs]

[laughing]

[croaks]

[strained grunting]

[yelps]

Oh, water...

Yuck.

You can't catch me!

Nyah-nyah! [laughs]

Almost got you!

[Frog's tongue unreeling]BUG: Whoa, close one.

[laughs]

[frustrated groan]

NARRATOR: By the end of the game,

Frog had become quite sleepy.[Frog yawning]

Good night, Bug.

But Bug was wide awake.

Yeah! That's right!

NowIcan't sleep!

Well, sure you can, Bug.

Everybody needs sleep.

You just need to get snug.

Bugs love being snug.

Um...

What's "snug" mean?

Oh, you know... comfy cozy.

Ah, well, I do like being comfy cozy.

Yeah. Snug as a bug in a...

Huh, hmm...

What was that rhyme again?

Snug as a bug...

[snores]

Wake up![snoring and croaking]

[horn blowing]

That's what I need.

Okay, Frog, so...

I can't think of it.

Maybe a mug of hot chocolate will help me remember.

Yeah, maybe... what?!

Oh-ho-ho, but look,

she forgot to turn off the light.

FROG:Bug, no!

That's her night-light.

Ah! Who turned out the light?

Whoopsie-daisy.

Frog?

Bug?

What are you two doing here?

Well, the thing is, Frog couldn't sleep,

so we decided to play a game of tag

and hewassleepy, but I wasn't, so here we are.

Uh... Huh?

Uh... Bug, let me explain.

Bear, have you ever heard the rhyme,

"Snug as a bug in a..." ?

In a... um...

In a...

And don't say "mug."

We already tried that.

Uh...

[gasps]: In a hug!

Yeah!

Snug as a bug in a hug. Yeah.

Like a bear hug.

"Hug" definitely rhymes with "ug."

That might be right!

Well, let's find out.

What?Bear hug!

[Bug choking]

Are you snug yet?

[muffled]: Not... really...

[blowing air]

He is cooking in his sleep.

[humming]

[oinks]

He's making pancakes.

[oinks] Uh-huh. Mm-hmm.

BUG: Well, I guess

we're not gonna find any "ug" words here.

[snores]

FROG: Uh-oh.

That jug of maple syrup is gonna spill.

Yeah, it's going to...

"Jug"?

Wait a minute. Jug!

That's...

an "ug" word! An "ug" word!

[snoring]

FROG: Juh... Ug.

Oink, oink, oink, oink.

BUG: Jug!

Snug as a bug in a jug.

That could be right!

[yawns and croaks]

That jug looks pretty snug to me.

Gangway! [laughing]

[grunting]

Uh, Frog? Frog!

A little help!

Uh... Pig!

Whoa, Pig, wake up!

Pig!

Frog, help!

[Bug yelling]

[jug shatters]

[gobbling]

[snoring]

[yelling]

[screaming]

[Sheep squeaks]

[Bug yelps]

[stammering]: Oh, my.

Ugh, it's just me-- Bug.

[giggling]: Oh, hi, Bug, I...

[high-pitched giggling]

Oh... that tickles.

Oh, Sheep, have you seen Bug?

Stop! Stop!

[laughing]

You found my tickle spot.

Huh?

[sighs]

Oh, it's okay now.

He moved.

Who?

Bug.

Where is he?

In there.

Hiya, Frog.

Bug!

Oh, it's no use.

We're never going to find a word that rhymes with "ug."

Let's just go home.

You know what, Frog?

I-I might just stay here.

Sheep's wool is comfy cozy.

[chuckling]: It's sort of like, um... a rug.

Well, thank you, I appreciate the compliment, but actually...

Wait, did you just say "rug"?

That's it.

I need a rug!

What just happened here?

NARRATOR: So Frog and Bug rushed back to Frog's log.

[music playing]

FROG: Rrr...

BUG: Ug.

KIDS: Rug!

BOTH: ♪ Yeah, we just built a word

Here you go, Bug.

[sighs deeply]

Pretty snug?

[chuckles]

I'm snug as a bug in a rug.

[yawns]

Thanks, Frog.

NARRATOR: So with his friend

finally snug as a bug in a rug,

Frog went off to sleep himself,

and he slept like a frog in a log.
