♪Me and you and Zoboomafoo,come along and see what's new,

♪we're doing thethings that animals do.

♪elephants charging,baboons are leaping,

♪wild dogs runningand nobody's sleeping!

It sure is dusty in here.

-Yeah it's like the desert

or the African Savannaduring a dust storm.

Water is there, butit's really hard to find.

-Oh, you'vegot the ball, thanks!

Hey where areyou going with the ball?

-All this dustis making me thirsty.

-Well let's callZoboo, he's always ready forsome cool fruit and juice.

Zoboomafoo!

Hi buddy.

-What do youfeel like doing Zoboo?

He looks a little hot.

-Yeah! But I knowwhat will cool him down.

Apples are a great snackon a dry day like this one.

That's because theyare loaded with juice.

Fruit's anothergreat way of getting water

when you're really thirsty.

-Whoa! All thisjuice from just an apple.

-Come on Zob,we have apples today.

-Ah, I needed that!

-Yeah!

So is that quenchingyour thirst?

-Excuse me.

Zobooomafoooo!

Whoa! I was one thirsty lemur.

Is my mind imaginingthings or is it dry in here?

-No you're not imaginingthings Zoboo, it is dry.

Even the pond is dried up.

-It was dry on my way here.

I saw two creatureslooking for water.

I know who they arebecause I've met them before.

Let's see if you can guess.

Who could it be?

They where sandy colouredand they looked really dry,

but they couldn'tfind any water.

but this time they are thirsty.

Do you know who they are?

-Two big round eyes each.

-With an itch to play.

Hey Chris!

-What's Martin talkingabout? I'm right here.

-Hey Martin!

-Is my brother going crazy?

Now he's calling himself.

-No Chris, not Krattbrothers Chris and Martin,

lion cubs Chris and Martin!

-They're back!

-Yeah!

-Mangatsika! Themystery Animal is here.

-This Chris.

-and that Martin.

-Wait a second, that'sMartin and that's Chris.

-Oh brothers, that'sChris and that's Martin.

-How do you know Zob?

-Because they told me of course.

You guys should listen better.

-Hey, what have you guys beendoing since you were last here?

-Yeah, rememberthe last time Chris and Martinthe lion cubs came to visit?

-Oh yeah!

They played non-stop.

-Yeah they played somuch, they got really thirsty.

-Don't remind meZob, it's so dry in here,I think I need a drink.

But no time for that now.

It's playtime!

-Playtime is all the time!

-He's got the towel.

Gosh, he's got a prettystrong grip with his mouth.

-Whoa! Whoa!

So does Martin.

Whoa!

He sure likes lemur'stails to play with.

Whoa!

I meant to do that.

Hey Martin! Where are you going?

What's the matter?

Hey Chris and Martin!Where are you going?

-What Zob?

-No, not Kratt brothersChris and Martin,

lion cubs Chris and Martin.

There's Martin over by the pond.

They're thirstybut the pond's dry.

-Yup! They need water.

The hot sun can makea lion really thirsty,

so night timeis when the lions prowl.

-And the cubs canget in some really raucous

play sessions atnight, they romp and roll,

but even in thecool of night they still

need a good cooldrink after a long play.

There's nothingthat cools off a hot lioncub like some cool HO.

-HO?

-Yeah! HO, that's thescientific name for water.

Water, nothing wouldsurvive without it Zoboo.

Did you know that watercovers nearly three-quartersof the whole earth?

There are lots of streams,rivers and lakes on the planet,

but the ocean makesup most of the world's water,

about ninety-three percent.

So HO is the scientificname for water.

-I didn't know that.

HO is the scientificname for water.

-You got to know HO, yes.

-All creatures need water,and not just for drinking.

Creatures need waterfor all sorts of things.

Fish live in thewater all their lives.

From the tiniest minnowsto the biggest tropicalfish, water means life.

Fish bodies are speciallydesigned to live in water.

A lot of fish havefins to help them swim.

And they have gillson the side of their necks,

see those gills?

The water goes pastthe gills and the gills take

oxygen out ofthe water for the fish.

-We have to do something,these cubs need water.

-Well, that's easy.

When I get thirsty, I havea bunch of yummy green leaves.

Hey Chris, Martin,you want some leaves?

-Heh!

-What Zob?

-Oh, not Kratt brothersChris and Martin,

lion cubs Chris and Martin!

-But Zob, not allcreatures get their water fromfruit and leaves like you do.

-These lions need some water.

So we got to findthem something to drink.

You know, almost everycreature needs water to survive.

These lions cubs need water

and fast.

Great idea Chris!

-What?

-No, not you Chris,the lion cub Chris,

the hose, this iswhere we can get the waterto give the cubs a drink.

What do you think Zob?

-Yeah, great idea, butI want to test the water first.

-Alright, here you go.

-Thanks.

Turn on the HO.

-All right, any second now,

hang on.

-That sure is scratchy water.

Right Chris?

Let me tell you a story aboutsome real water in Zobooland.

I was leaping along,

leap, leap, leap...

and I thought Iwould leap over the pond

when suddenly I was grabbed

by a giant tentacle.

Fibby said: Hi Zoboo,bet you didn't expect that!

-No I didn't, I said.

But since I'm here,why not go for a swim?

HeySlimantha, why don't you comefor a swim with Fibby and me.

-Oh, I don't think soZoboo. I'm afraid of the water.

-But why, I asked.

-Gee, well, I don'tknow what's in there.

Whoa!

-Hey, Slimantha,don't be afraid.

-Why don't you comeand see my underwater home?

-Yeah it's really great.

-Well okay, since you asked.

-So Slimantha did a spinningback twist in a jelly-roll tuck.

And I did a full-twisting doubleback from the pike position!

And we played in the waterall day and had lots of fun.

The end.

Oh no, the cubsare still thirsty, they needmore than a story about water.

They need to drink water.

It's too bad we couldn'tjust make some water.

That's it, I can't believemy mind, let's make some water,

whynot make a super-soakerwater machine?

-Great idea Zoboo!

-Let's build it!

-Where's thatfunnel, here it is.

Looking good.

-Yeah, we're almost there.

-And the final ingredient,a cool mountain lake.

Picture's in.

-Time to fire it up.

-Faucet ready.

-Set to water.

Heads up!

-Why are there bubbles?

-Oh no!

-Brothers, where's the water?

-Oh no Chris, I think we have toget back to the drawing board.

-Yeah, this isn't working right.

-What's going on?

-Don't worry lion cubs,we'll get water for you,

I think.

Hey Martin,

Chris,

look at me, I'm afloating lemur in a bubble.

They're way betterto float in than to eatcause they taste terrible.

No where to go but down.

-Watch it Zob.

-I meant to do that.

-Oh yeah! Well, thanksfor dropping by Zoboo.

-Thanks Martin!

Hey Chris, bubbles are fun!

Yeah!

-It looks like that's a hat on.

-We still need to get Chrisand Martin some water to drink.

-Yeah, they're thirsty.

-They're so thirstythey don't even want toplay with my tail anymore.

-What we reallyneed is some rain.

-Rain?

Mangatsika! That's it!

I'll do a rain dancethat I learned in Madagascar.

Yeah!

-I got to see this.

♪That's what we needand that's what we wanna

-Nothing!

-Ramanafana, thatmeans water in Madagascar.

-Something's happening.

-Yeah! Clouds are moving in.

-Wait a second, thisisn't rain, this is fog.

-Keep on chantingZoboo. Do it for the cubs.

-Uh-oh, this time we got snow.

-Keep chantingZoboo, we need rain.

♪Ramanafana, ramanafana

♪That's what we needand that's what we wanna

-It's raining!

-Alright!

-It's working, it's working.We finally made some rain!

-Well, we got all the water.

Time to drink.

-Alright, let'sget some water guys.

-Fantastic, the pondis full of water again.

-And the cubs know it too.

They're finallyfilling their bellies.

-Alright, we finally gotsome water for the lion cubs.

And they love it. How is it?

-Wet and cold.

-Chris and Martinare sure thirsty.

I've never seencreatures drink so much.

Hey I want to do that!

-What do you think of that?

Lemurs don't drinkthat way, do they?

-I'm feeling lion cub-ish.

♪I feel different not the same

♪This kinda feelingI can't explain

♪There is onlyone thing that I can do

♪I feel lion-ish How about you

-What do you mean?

-We're not going anywhere.

-No, not Kratt brothers,lion cubs Chris and Martin.

-Where are you guys going?

-What are you talking about?

-Incoming!

Duck!

-It's not a duck,it's Sticky Feet.

-the peregrine falcon.

-With a messagefrom the Animal Helpers.

-Hi Kratt Brothers! Hi Zoboo!

There's something mygoldfish needs every week.

I know it's hard to believe,but my goldfish needs a bath.

Well, not my goldfishbut his aquarium.

You know how youhave to clean your room,

well, same with goldfish.

First, take outsome water from the t*nk

and put it in a bowl,

then gently putyour fish in the bowl.

After that, Iempty most of the water.

Then you scruball sides. It's easy.

Make sure everything is rinsedwell before you put it back in.

Now you have to waitfor the water to get to the

right temperature for the fish.

And then you can putyour fish back in the t*nk.

There you goFred, happy swimming.

-Hey look, more water creatures!

-Yeah Zob!

Now that the pond's fullof water, Animal Junction'sa watering hole again.

Everybody is droppingby for a swim and a drink.

-Amazing! A black spottednewt and a rope fish.

A mudskipper is a fishthat can live out of water too,

cool!

A ram's horn snail

and a baby alligator.

Hey!

I think there'sa frog on my head.

You want toget back in the water?

It's a marine toad.

Ponds, rivers andstreams are great placesto look for creatures.

-Sounds like a trip to me.

-To the closet!

♪They're going to thecloset They're going on a trip

♪They're going to the closetto grab their stuff and split.

-I guess the closet gotsome of Zoboo's Madagascarrain dance water in it.

♪They're goingon a cool adventure and theydon't know what's in store

♪They're coming from the closetand they're headed out the door.

-We're here in Africa checkingout creatures living around HO.

-Yeah, and I'dlike to find some HO prettysoon, the sun is intense.

-Oh yeah!

It's hot out here.

-Yeah! I'm thirsty.

-Where's the watering hole?

-I don't know.

The problem is we don'thave the noses that can

smell water like someof the creatures out here.

-Well, if we don't have thenoses, let's follow the noses.

Elephants!

Now those are some nosesthat are good to follow.

Headed that way Chris!

An elephant's noseis so good it can smell waterfrom about twenty miles away.

They know exactlywhere the water is.

They're all headedin the same direction, and...

yeah, there's the watering hole.

Looks like this wateringhole is pretty crowded.

-Yeah! It could be a longtime before we get our turn.

I'm getting thirstierjust watching them.

-An elephant is a huge creatureso she needs a huge amount

of water to drinkand to keep her cool.

She swings her trunkin the water, sucks up as

much as she can, andshoots it into her mouth.

-Butbefore you can take a drink,you got to get into position.

-Look at the way they're bumpingeach other out of the way,

taking theirturns having a drink.

-Ouch, that's got to hurt!

Now once theelephants clear out,

other animals canget a chance to drink.

A hyena is a smallercreature, he knows he

can't muscle intoa herd of elephants,

so he'll justhave to wait patiently

until the elephants havehad their fill. And so will we.

-Chris, the hyena andI aren't the only ones waiting.

The impalas are waiting fortheir chance to get a drink too.

-There go the elephants.

-And now everybodyelse can get a chance.

The hyena is first for some HO.

-I hope he's finishedsoon so we can...

uh-oh, here come the kudus.

-And he's got some othercreatures hanging on his back.

-Check out how the oxpeckerspick bugs off of the kudus ears

while they're drinking.

-And there's a lotof other birds down here too.

Cape sparrows,grey-headed sparrows.

Whoa! And nowa family of baboons.

Oh, oh, here'sa creature that has a greatdrinking style, giraffes!

She has to spreadher front legs really wide toget low enough to the water.

-The warthogis a kneeling drinker.

Hey! Something's up!

-What?

Hey, everybody is clearing out,

and that's why!

-A lion!

When she comes tothe watering hole, the other

creatures giveher plenty of space.

-Yeah!

If there's awatering hole around, a lionwill visit it pretty often.

She needs about one anda half gallons of water a day.

Hey! Looks likea spot's opened up.

-It's about time.

Let's go.

Finally we canhave something to drink.

This water is gross!

-We can't drink that!

Unless we use our superdelux water purification system.

-Here's how it works.

You put this end inthe water here and then you

pump the waterthrough the purifier.

-And it comes outclean the other side.

We have drinking water.

-Yes!

Water is life.

-Okay, anytime...

-Sounds likeZoboo is having fun.

Come on.

Look who's here.

Splish and Slash!

-The penguins.

Now those are twoHO-loving creatures.

-It's penguinplaytime in the pool.

Yeah and penguinscan dive deeper and stay

under water longerthan any other water bird.

Hey! That wasa pretty short swim.

-Yeah! Especially for a penguin.

-But for some reason,these penguins don'twant to swim in our pool.

-I'll test the water.

I don't know why,the water is great.

-Wait a second,we know this, the water is

too warm forthe penguins, remember?

Penguins love cold water becausethat's where the fish are.

-Yeah, I know youlike cold water, but I

didn't think aboutthat when I made it rain.

-Hey! If the water istoo warm, maybe we can get that

water machine to cool the water.

It wasn'tvery good at making water,but maybe it can make ice.

-Great thinking, we'lljust start it up again.

This time cool coils in place.

-Hey guys! I've gotan iceberg you can put in.

Well okay, it's just a pictureof an iceberg, but go ahead.

-Whatever works.

-Yeah!

-Activate iceifier,

and initiate freeze dry.

-I can't believe my mind!

Splish

and Splash.

Alright, yeah! It worked.

-Now to checkif it's cold enough.

I'll try it out.

It's cold enough all right.

And it tastes awful.

-That's saltyou're tasting Zoboo.

Penguins swim in salt water.

-Too bad they can'tget rid of the taste.

Hey! It worked, it worked.

The penguins aregoing in the water, now thatit's cold enough for them.

What mangatsika swimmers!

Penguins look likethey are flying underwater.

Cold or not, I'm diving in too.

That reminds me of one time in

Z-z-z-z-z Zobool-land...

I was leaping along,

leap, leap, leap,

but then I stopped,

cause I decidedI wanted to go up to thetop of Mount Zoboomafoo.

But then Wiggy flew by.

-I want to go tooZoboo! I want to go too!

-But Wiggy, it's very coldon the top of Mount Zoboomafoo.

I have fur to keep me warm, butit's too cold up there for you.

-But my featherswill keep me warm Zoboo!

-Okay then, let's go.

-I want to go too.

-But Gooble, it's verycold on Mount Zoboomafoo.

Wiggy has feathersto keep her warm,

and I have fur to keep me warm,

but it's toocold up there for you.

-It's no problem Zoboo.

I've been eatinggoobleberries all day,

so my fat will keep me warm.

-Oh yeah!

All right then, let's go!

-But I might need some help.

-I'll help, I'll help!

-So we climbedand climbed and climbed

and as we climbedit got colder and colder.

But our fur, feathersand fat kept us warm.

And then we hearda friendly voice.

-Oh hey everybody! Hi! Hi!

-It was Sno-Lemur.

Hey Sno-Lemur!

-Come on up, come on up!

-C'mon everybody!

And we all jumpedaround and had a lot of fun.

-You happy nowhuh? You like that?

You can tell she's happybecause she's starting to bathe.

-Come on guys,everybody is in the pool.

-Let's go.

-Ahhhh! It's freezing.

-Whoa!

This is cold Zoboo.

How do you do it?

-Penguins havelots of fat that helps keepthem warm in the cold water.

-Look, Martin is HO-ing.

-Good one Martin.

-It's freezing,how do you do it?

-Great! Time to get out.

-Where's everyone going?

-The penguins are done andthis water is too cold for us.

♪This animal is a friend of mine

♪From the tip of hisnose to his funny behind

♪Allthe friends that we met todayare special in their own way

♪We've all got different namesbut we're really all the same

♪Thanks for droppingby we're glad you came

♪These animalsare friends of mine

♪They jump and swim,crawl, fly and climb

-Hi! My name is Samantha.

This is Fifi. She'sa golden retriever.

Hi, we're the Kratt brothers,every creature adventurer knows

you have to becareful around animals.

-Because sometimes an animalcan get a little scared of you

and then she might thinkshe has to defend herself.

-That's why youshould only go near an animalwhen an adult says, "It's okay."

Right Zoboo?

AND NOW, SOME JOKES FROMZOBOOMAFOO...

Did you know that a hippo canopen her mouth three feet wide!

Now that's big!

And a hippo can stayunderwater for five minutes.

A hippo even sleeps under water.

When it's time tobreathe, she just comes up,takes a big breath of air

and sinks right back down again.

-Hey, Chris?

-Yeah Zob?

-Um,how do you tell the differencebetween a hippo and an ant?

-I don't know Zob, how?

-Ants are easier to pick up!

Right Slurpy?

-What do you thinkhe's looking for Zoboo?

-Ants

and maybe uncles!

That was a joke!

-Good one Zob!
