At least it's nice and quietin the Kelp Forest.

Maybe a little too quiet.

Hello?Is someone there?

I don't know muchabout the Kelp Forest,

but I know thatweird scraping noises

are generallynot a good thing.

[whimpers]

- Ha ha!All right, hotshot.

Let's see if you cancatch this one.

- Oh, yeah.- And...

- [whimpering]

- [laughing]

- [whimpering]- Whoa!

- Hey, did you find the shell?

I seem to remember playingHide and Seek.

I was hidingand you found me.

- Hey, hey, wait, wait.It's okay, buddy.

If you can't find the shell,

we found this great pebblefor Fin Ball.

So we can stay.Yeah.

Okay, Bubbles, go long.

- You got it!

- Oh, yeah.Ha ha!

Looks like we're gonnago to the Kelp Forest

one way or the other.

[chuckles]Come on.

- [grumbles]

- Okay, Bubbles,let's find that pebble.

- Yeah.

- Wait, wait, wait,wait, wait, guys.

I wasn't gonna say anything,

but there's somethingin that forest.

- Aw, Dunk, the Kelp Forestis full of interesting

and fun creatures.

- Yeah.- I know that.

But this wasn't fun.

There was a strange sound.

- Oh, strange sound.- Ahh.

- Let's go find it.- Yeah.

- [laughs]Okay, come on, Dunk.

- Ugh, fine.

- Dunk, I've been listeningfor the sound,

and I don't know whatyou're talking about,

but I don't hear anything.

[rustling]

- Shh.

There it is.

Listen.

- There what is?

- Oh, come on, I'm telling you,there was a sound.

- I'm not sureabout the sound,

what I am sureis that that shell

and the pebble are not here.

- Yeah, this Kelp Forestis clean.

Almost strangely clean.

- Wait a second,I know what's going on.

It's such a simple explanation.

- What is it?

- Our stuff hasobviously been taken

by a giant, ten-tentacled,googly eyed klepto fish.

both: The what?

- You haven't heard of a giant,

ten-tentacled, googly eyedklepto fish?

both: Nope.

- Oh, it's a fish withten long, sticky tentacles

that takes all your stuff.

- Whoa.

- There must beone around here.

- [chuckles]

I think that fish isjust a story.

- Yeah, that's not real. Mm.- Yeah.

- Oh, no, it's definitelya real story.

I should know.

I made it up.[laughter]

- Hmm, I think we may justhave to find a new shell.

There's nothing herebut this red algae.

- Yeah, I just don't get it.

It's like our stuff is justgetting carried away.

Hey, guys.

Where you going?

- Uh, we're not going anywhere.

You are!

- [humming]

- Sir, hello!

- Hello!

- We're coming, Bubbles!

Don't worry!Oh!

Hey, that's our friend.

Put her down, please.

- Oh, well, your friend wason my red algae patch.

See, everything onmy algae gets cleaned up.

Be they pebbles,or shells, or fish.

- Well, sorry, we didn't know.

We'll stay off your algae,okay?

- Very good.

And remember, it's a big helpif you keep off the kelp.

- What in the big blue oceanjust happened here?

- I don't know.

Only one way to find out.Ha ha.

- [humming]

- Sir, did you find a littlebrown shell or pebble

in the forest?- Yeah, did you take it?

- Oh, no, no, no, no, no,I never take anything.

- Hmm.What about that pebble?

- Hmm.Oh, yes.

Oh, I'm not taking this.

I'm cleaning it up.

Oh, yeah.I see.

Well, I may have cleaned upyour shell and your pebble.

You see, the name's Tidy,

and I make sure the algae bedis nice and tidy.

- Oh, yeah?

Not as tidy as my sideof the kelp.

- Chipper.

Oh, I'm so sorry, kids.

You see, we Garibaldi fishcan be a wee bit territorial.

You see, Chipper thinks thatjust because his algae bed

is a little cleaner than mine,

he just runsthe whole neighborhood.

- More like a lot cleaner!

- Chipper, we have beenover this, thank you!

You tend to your area.I'll tend to mine.

Ugh, Chipper.

Ha, thinks he'sso neat and tidy.

Well, I'm the one who's tidy.

Ha, it's my name.That's funny.

- Well, Tidy, maybe you can helpus get our stuff back, then.

- [gasps]

Get them back?

But, but, but,they've been cleaned up.

We don't take things backonce they've been cleaned up.

No, no, no, no.[chuckles]

This guy, huh?

- But wait.

Why can't we haveour stuff back?

- Where is it?

- Well, we Garibaldi fish liketo keep our algae beds clean

of everything but red algae.

So everything else has togo in--hmm, hmm--the pile.

all: The pile?

- Wow!- Whoa!

- Well, here it is.

Sorry about the mess.

- Wait, this is a mess?- Oh, well--

Ohh!

Oh, oh, it is now.

- If you think this is a mess,you should see where I live.

It's all muddy and gooeyand gross.

- Oh, I'd rather not.Thank you!

- So, all this stuffjust drops in the Kelp Forest?

- Oh, yes, I'm afraid so.

That's why I have a motto.

Leave only yourfin-prints behind.

- Leave only yourfin-prints behind?

- Yes, that meansdon't leave anything behind

that doesn't belongin an ocean habitat.

If you do,it could be very bad

for the plantslike this algae,

or the creatureswho live there, like me.

And that's why wheneveryou bring something with you

into nature, always be sureto clean it up.

Every time I've come to the KelpForest, I've lost something.

It turns out I didn't losemy stuff, it was just put away.

Maybe even by Tidy.

- Well, I don't want to brag,

but I do keepa pretty neat algae bed.

[laughs]

- Hey, look at this.

It's my first lucky shell.

I lost this when I wasjust a little fish.

It's been here the whole time?

- Wow, nice find, buddy.

- I can't believe you found thatafter all this time.

Isn't that amazing, Tidy?

Hey, uh, Tidy?

Hmm, where did he go?

- I don't know.

- Tidy?

- Yeah, I don't knowwhere he went.

- Tidy?- [gasps] Wow!

- Come over here, you.

[laughter]

- Whoa.- Not so fast, mister.

- Wow.He's really going for it.

- Yeah.- Not on my watch.

I've got you, there.

- Hey, Tidy, is this whata Garibaldi fish does all day?

- Oh, well, I am kind of theKelp Forest keeper around here,

and so I do as much as I can.

And you know what they say,

a Garibaldi fish's workis never done.

- [chuckles]

- Oh, wow.- Whoa.

- That's even nicerthan the other pebble.

- Better get this one.

- Tidy, um, well, do youthink it would be okay

if we cleaned this one up?

You know, for Fin Ball?

- Well, this is highly unusual,

but, well, I supposethat would be okay.

- All right!- Yeah!

- Oh, uh, Tidy,

would you like to playFin Ball with us?

- What? Me?

Oh, well, I mean, I'd love to,

but I couldn't possibly--

Yes!

- Yay!- Yeah!

- Got it, here we go.- I can't wait.

- Yeah, it's gonna be good.

- All right, Tidy,it's coming at you.

Here it comes.

- Okay.- And oh and oh!

- Whoa!

- I got it, I got it, I--

Ooh, yes.

- Yeah. Nice.- Whoa!

- Who wants this?Here we go.

- Yeah.- Oh, whoo!

- Yeah.- Nice.

- This is so much fun.

[laughs]

Now I have to get back to work.This place is a mess.

- Okay, Dunk,get ready to go long.

- Oh, awesome throw, Bubbles.

And now it's time to...

- What is a kelp forest?

- We turned our classroominto a kelp forest.

- Kelp is an underwaterplant called algae.

♪ ♪

Lots of animals live in the kelp forest.

- Seals.

Wolf eels.

[waves crashing]

Sea urchins.

Garibaldi.

I'm a Garibaldi fish,

and I'm keepingmy garden clean.

No sea urchinsor sea stars allowed.

If I keep my nest clean,

femaleswill lay their eggs here.

Yay!

- I hope I can seea kelp forest someday.

- I've got this end.

Whoa!

- Oh, it's gonnahit the ground.

- Nice try, Bubbles,but not quite nice enough.

- Wow, this is one intenseFin Ball game.

- Tie game!

- All right, you gotlucky that time, Bubbles,

- Yeah, ready?

Yeah, I was born ready.

[chuckles, groans]

That's weird.

- Okay, okay, we get it.

Nice victory dance, right?

But come on,the game's not over yet.

- Bubbles, is something wrong?

- No, no, I'm all good here.

- Whoa.- Whoa, are you sure?

It looks like something'swrong with your fin.

- No, come on, guys,I'm perfectly fin--

I mean, fine--I mean, ugh, I'm just fine.

- Yeah, I feel likeyou're not just fine.

- Who's not fine?

all: Flo!

- I'm here to help.

- Thanks, Flo, but my fin'snever been better.

There's no needto look at it,

so let's just go backto our game.

- Lets have a quick look-see,shall we?

- What's wrong?

- Oh, it's nothingto worry about.

Bubbles just strained herpectoral fin.

- Strained pectoral fin?

But, I needmy pectoral fin to swim.

You know?See?

[straining]

Ta-da.

- Give it to me straight, Doc.

Will she ever playFin Ball again?

- Oh, sure.

We just need to wrap it upin something and let it heal.

- I've got just the thing.

You see, I can secrete a layerof mucus through my skin

to protect me from diseaseand stuff.

See?

[sighs]- Cool.

- Cool.

- You mandarin dragonets comewith your own first aid.

Pretty impressive.

- Yippee!

Now that my fin is protected,I can play Fin Ball.

- Well, not just yet.

- What?But why not?

My fin is all wrapped.

- Now you have to give ittime to heal.

Remember, don't put it tothe test until you let it rest.

- But we were about to decidethe Fin Ball champion.

- Don't worry, Bubbles.

We won't play without you.

Right, Splash?

- Oh, uh, yeah, sure.

- Well, we won't playan official game.

But we can practice, right?

- Sure.

It's okay.

[excited chatter]- Hey!

What a toss!

Hey, Bubbles,did you see that toss?

- Yeah, that was a good one.

- Yeah, okay, Dunk,hit it back to me.

- Hey there, Bubbles.

I thought you werethe Fin Ball master.

How come you're not playing?

- I hurt my fin.

- Oh, I see.

- Flo said that it'sgonna take some time to heal.

So do you think it's okay yet?

- Well, that depends.

It might be like the timethat I broke my fin

trying to catch a little lunchout on the reef.

I was walking alongwhen suddenly--

- Hey, Gush?

Can you just tell meabout my fin?

- Oh, right.

Well, long story short,let it rest.

It'll heal just fine.

- Hey, Gush.- Yeah?

- Well, if I can't swimbecause of my fin,

maybe I can walk like you.

Hey, guys, I'm all better, see?

I can walk on my finslike Gush.

- Oh, that's great, Bubbles.

- Ahh! Almost.- Oh.

- Bubbles, you're not supposedto walk on your fin, it's hurt.

- Yeah, and besides,not everyone can walk

on their fins like Gush.

We all move differently.

I use the dorsal finon my back.

- Wow, look atthat dorsal fin go.

- Hey, if I can swimwith my dorsal fin,

then I can stillfinish the game.

- Yeah.- Okay, here goes.

[straining]

All right.

Wow, this is really hard.

I'm not moving at all.

- Well, you're moving, butyou're not getting anywhere.

- What do you mean?Why's everybody upside down?

- Oh, boy.

Yeah![chuckles]

- Oh, man, this is so fun.- Yeah!

- Best game ever.- Yeah.

- Yeah.- Whoa.

Well, maybe notbest game ever,

maybe more ordinaryjust so-so game.

- Yeah.- Yeah, that's what I meant.

- Not having fun at all.

- Yeah, maybe I can't walkor shake my dorsal fin.

There's just gotta beanother way to move

that's better than this.

[straining]

Hey, uh--Hey, Maury, you home?

- So, Bubbles.

Now I don't like totalk out of fish school,

but word around the reefis that your fin fell off.

You care to confirm?

- Oh, my fin is fine.

Well, it's not fine,but it will be fine.

But until then, I'm looking fora new way to move.

- Ah, I see.

Interesting.

Well, nobody wants to slitheraround like an eel

until they have to.

- Well, actually, that soundskind of good to me.

Can you show mehow you do it?

- Oh, well, I suppose littledemonstration couldn't hurt.

Watch and learn.

- Okay.

[upbeat music]

- You like that?Look at that, see?

Then I slither like this.Uh-huh.

And then I get the nice shape,and I'm back.

- Hey, well, I might as wellgive this a try.

Here goes.

[straining]

This is harderthan it looks.

- Yeah, and it looks hard.

Uh, bye.Whoo!

- Bye.

I don't knowif slithering is for me.

But, ah, gliding,on the other hand,

why, that looksperfect for me.

- Hi there, Bubbles.Nice day today.

Of course, every dayin Reeftown is a nice day.

I declare that as Mayor.

- Mayor Sting, one of yourReeftown citizens

needs your help.

- Really?Always happy to help.

What can I do for you?

- Well...

- Uh, Bubbles,are you sure about this?

- Very sure.

Okay.I'm going to glide.

Ahh!

[all gasp]

- Glide like me.

That's it, fins out,smooth glide.

- Ahh, ahh.

- I see the problem.

You're not a stingray like me.

On second thought,swim normally.

- What?Too late.

- I got this.

- [screaming]

- Great job, Dunk.

- Yeah, buddy,that was puff-tastic.

- Thanks.- So did it work? Huh?

- Um...well...

- Define work.[laughter]

- Yeah.- Not so much.

- Okay, here we go.Whoo!

- I can't walk, shake,slither, glide.

I'm not even sureI can swim anymore

because this mold has beenon my fin forever.

- It sure has.- Flo.

- Time to take off the slimeand have a look at that fin.

Now let me help you.

- What now?

- Your fin is just fine.

- Yay![all cheering]

- It healed already?That was fast.

- Speak for yourself.

- So all she needed was to restand it healed on its own.

- You got it, so nowyou can get back to doing

I can swim again.

Now I can finally get back tohanging with my friends.

I guess that finis working just fine.

- Better than fine.

- Yeah, hip.- Hip.

- Aw, thanks. I couldn't havedone it without my friends.

- Or your fins.[laughs]

That was funny!

And now it's time to...

- I've never been to the ocean.What's it like?

♪ ♪

- Hi, my name's Nicole,

and I'm fromthe Sanibel Sea School.

How many of you are a little bitscared to get in the ocean?

So tomorrow we're gonna go out to the ocean

and try to catch some different fish

that live in the sea grass.

♪ ♪

I really enjoy taking thesekids out to the ocean.

We take the kids seining,

which is dragging large nets through the water

so that we can pull up fish

that are living below the surface.

We like the kids to see that the ocean is not just water,

but it's full of life, absolutely full of life.

[excited chatter]- I found two fish!

- All right, let's putthose guys in the ocean.

- Right now I felt so happybecause I got two pufferfishes.

- We don't want to hurt any of the fish.

Some of them are just babies.

After we look at them, we put them all back in the ocean.

- I thought the oceanwould be scary.

- But it was awesome!
