Know what I am doing today.

I want to know what the tree is like

from the butterfly's point of view.

Huh?

Point of view?

It's how you see things.

Like how I see things when I'm upside down.

Or, how you see me.

Oh, hey, butterfly.

I know it sounds like a lot of work for a sloth,

but I'm going to follow this butterfly and see what it sees.

Yeah, it's a big, big exploration!

BOB: Oh, my, he's so big from down here.

Hi, uh, Bob, is that you?

Uh, hello, uh, Snook.

What's going on down there?

Oh, nothing.

S-s-sorry to bother you, Snook.

It's okay, Bob, I was just...

wondering what you were doing, Bob?

Oh, butterfly, you're back.

You must like my nose.

So where are we going?

Okay, let's go.

[ sighs ]

Whoa...

[ grunts]

[ panting ]

[ still panting ]

Us sloths are too slow to keep up with butterflies.

I wish I could just fly around the tree

and see what that butterfly sees.

Maybe it would look something like this.

Wow, you butterflies sure get around.

Hey, wait for me...

[ straining ]

Hi, Bob.

What are you up to?

Not much...

Just... trying...

to... lift...

[ straining ]

That looks pretty heavy, Bob.

Are you sure you want to lift that up?

Yeah, sure.

It's only...

times... my own... weight.

Whoa... times!

That's a lot!

Um...

Uh-huh.

I don't even think I could lift

three times my own weight!

Of course not, Snook.

You're pretty big.

Yeah, I guess so...

Let me lend you a claw, Bob.

Bob, want to follow a butterfly with me?

Uh, no.

Why?

Well, I'm trying to see the world

from a butterfly's point of view.

Ooh, I've got to go, Bob!

But what about the ant's point of view, hmm?

Oh, my!

Old Snook following the butterflies again.

[ laughs]

Now, where was I?

[ screeching quietly ]

Whoa.

I wonder what this...

could... be.

Hmm, okay.

Either it's Halloween and I forgot my costume

and my trick or treat candy,

or there are some really large ants around here!

Snook, it's us!

Oh, wow, that's a relief.

What are youoing?

Um, we're just trying out some new antennae.

WINSLOW: And a few extra legs.

You can always use some spare legs.

Yeah, I guess that's true,

and just out of curiosity, why are you dressed as ants?

To get to know them better.

It was Bob's idea.

SMOOCH: You know, Snook,

how Bob worries about the ants.

I do?

I guess I do...

So what does the world look like with those antennae?

WINSLOW: Well, they wave around

in front of your face a lot.

SMOOCH: Yeah, and they do funny things

when we dance!

WINSLOW: Uh-huh!

Watch this!

[ humming ]

Uh, you know...

I don't think ants dance like that.

It's more like this.

[ humming ]

Cool.

Whoa, good dancing.

It's great that you're seeing things

from a different perspective.

SMOOCH: Yeah...

and from the way an ant sees it,

it's not just a big big world;

it's a big big big big

big big world!

Phew.

Yeah.

You know, if everyone in the whole big big world

spent more time seeing things from other points of view,

we'd have to get along!

What do you think?

SMOOCH: Okay, Snook.

But here's Bob's question.

And the whole reason

we crawled around the tree like ants.

Now that we've done all this,

will the ants like us more?

Well, who knows?

But you certainly know more about ants.

Hey, did you know they barely ever sleep?

And when they do, it's only for a few minutes.

[ gasps ]

Really!

No wonder they're so tense.

Uh... Winslow and Smooch...

Butterfly...

Winslow and Smooch...

Butterfly...

Winslow and Smooch, got to go.

Butterfly.

Happy ant-ing!

Wow.

That is one strange sloth.

Yeah.

Well, Bob, ol' buddy,

I, for one, have had

enough ant-ing for one day.

and I don't know them any better.

Oh, look-- there's a note.

What does it say?

Well, let's see.

It says, "This will help you to see

"what the world looks like

from the ant point of view."

Really?

Yeah, watch this!

Wow, we look really big.

[ gasps ]

You're huge, huge!

That's how the ants see us.

They're so little, we must look very big to them.

No wonder they're afraid of Bob.

I seem so big to them.

Don't worry, ant-ies!

I can be small, too!

Look at me-- I'm small!

I'm tiny.

Oh, well.

Hey, do you want to go look at the butterflies again?

Come on.

[ calypso music playing ]

Since I'm sure you're incredibly curious,

Winslow has left his messy stuff

all over the tree house again

and I can't take it anymore.

I'm moving in with you.

Um... you're moving in with me?

I'll just start unpacking.

Whoa, well, maybe you should try to talk to Winslow

and let him know first?

I've tried!

There's no talking to that monkey.

Well, everyone has their disagreements.

You guys can work it out.

Besides you can't live someplace that isn't right for you.

Exactly! Living with that messy old marmoset's

just not right for this Smooch anymore!

Okay, so you can move in with me on one condition.

Uh... sure. What is it?

Well, if you're going to live with a sloth,

you'll have to learn... "the way of the sloth."

Oh, wow!

Sounds like a piece of cake.

Well, it's a little more complicated than that.

I'm too busy finding a new place to live.

Uh... Smooch, Winslow says he's got too...

I'm sure she'll understand.

You know, Winslow, I'm sure

you can work out your differences, if you just...

This is lovely, Burdette.

You keep things nice and organized

just the way I like them.

I'm perfectly thrilled you've decided

to adopt "the way of the bird."

Frankly, I've always thought

you and Winslow would be much better off if you did.

Please don't mention my brother.

Now, the first thing you will notice

about the way of the bird

are our lovely views.

Wow! I guess I never realized

you lived quite so... high up.

Is it always so chilly up here?

Oh, yes, the breeze is a bit bracing,

but I just

fluff my feathers out, and I hardly notice it.

Give it a try.

Okay.

Fluff and settle.

Hmm.

Uh... now what do we do?

Well, I enjoy sitting here quietly and enjoying

the gentle breeze and the swaying of the branches.

[ groans]

Isn't it lovely?

You know, I think I'll serve up some nice worms for lunch.

What do you think?

[ hesitantly]: Worms?

Uh, Burdette, I'm not feeling so swell.

I don't think the way of the bird is for me.

But, Smooch, you haven't given it...

Monkeys...

[ grunts]

[ gasps ]

Hmph!

[ sighs deeply]

[ shouts, startled]

Ah! Smooch, it's you.

Snook...

I can't believe Burdette lives

way up there where it's so cold.

It works for her, being a bird and all...

Where does a monkey live?

I need a good spot in the tree.

Well, we'll have to take a look around.

Now, there are three things to look for--

location, location, location.

Uh... isn't that just one?

Moving to the water hole--

the most desirable living spot

in all of the World Tree.

You got to love the thin layer of algae sliminess.

[ cackling]

I'll find someplace better than that messy old tree house.

Well, finding the right place for you is very important,

and you never know what you'll learn.

[ sneezes ]

You won't notice the dust

after the first hundred years!

this is great for me... I think.

I hope so, Smooch.

Most animals-- certainly all the ones we know--

have very unique habitats.

Yes, marmosets like yourself, for example,

like to live in mature trees with lots of leaves

and branches.

[ sighs ]: Quite beautiful really.

Uh... that's like where I used to live.

And marmosets like to live with other marmosets.

They are very social.

Like I live with Winslow!

Or... I used to.

I'm sure there were lots of things

about your tree house that suited you.

Snook, be a dear and hand me that book over there.

Now, I'm off to organize my books.

Yeah, there are a lot of great places to swing from,

and it was so cozy.

Winslow and I had so much fun

hiding in the banana leaves...

Well, that's in the past.

You know, even with all the good stuff in the tree house,

I just can't live there anymore.

Well, maybe if you and Winslow talked this out...

Snook! Look at this!

For what reason?

It doesn't say.

And, look, here are some of my favorite kind of berries

in a bowl on the table!

Oh, and it's all clean.

Hey!

Who moved my telescope into the exact right place?

I don't know

who would go to all this trouble.

It's a mystery to me.

But I think the place looks great this way.

[ chuckles]

I just love how different

all the creatures that live here in the World Tree are.

You can meet a lot of different animals, too.

Visit the zoo, and maybe you can come back

and tell me about some animals that I've never met.

Not to toot my own horn or anything,

but I think we sloths are pretty interesting animals.

Did you know that I'm an herbivore?

All sloth are.

It means that we only eat plants, sh**t, leaves

and sometimes fruit.

That's a good diet for slow-moving creatures like me.

Leaves are pretty easy to catch.

[ chuckles]

Smooch and Winslow are very amazing animals.

They're marmosets.

A marmoset is a kind of monkey.

Hey, do you know that marmosets like to live

with other members of their family,

like their brothers and sisters?

No wonder Smooch and Winslow have so much fun

sharing a house.

Uh... except when Winslow leaves his stuff

on the floor, of course.
