- It's OK! I'll get it!

Hi, Tito!

- Hi, everybody!

- [Both]: Hello, Tito!

- [Both]: Hey! Tip-tap-topla!

Ha ha!

- Hey, I've got a very important letter for you.

It's an invitation! Here!

- Thank you, Mr. Postman.

Hmm...

- This Sunday is Mado's birthday

and my dad is organizing a big party in their house by the sea.

Will you come?

- How wonderful! Of course we'll come!

- That's cool!

They'll be a big barbeque on the beach

with music and everybody will be dancing, you know?

- Great! There's even a map on the invite to get us there.

- But who is Mado?

- Mado is my dad's girlfriend.

- Huh?

Hey Dad, is it OK

if Tito stays here and plays with me?

- Sure. - Yes, of course.

- All right! - Super cool!

Oh no!

I moved it!

- My turn!

- Hey, Tito.

Why isn't your dad's new girlfriend your new mommy?

- I have a mom, and after the divorce

my dad didn't want to marry again.

- Divorce?

- One!

That's right, divorce.

My parents argued all the time, so they separated.

- But why did they argue all the time?

Did you do something bad?

- Oh no.

They argued because they disagreed about everything.

That's two!

Hey look, soon they'd had enough.

So they decided not to live together anymore.

- That's too bad.

I wouldn't like my parents to do that.

- You're right. I was sad at first,

but then I just got used to it, I guess.

And Mado was really nice to me.

And she even showed me how to ice skate.

Come to Tito...

Hey look, Bali!

That's sticks. I win!

Ah...

So, where has it gone?

- Bali, are you ready for the party?

- Yes, Mommy.

- Good boy.

Let's go, hon. We're supposed to be there by noon.

- Have you seen the invite we got from Tito?

We need the map on it.

- No, I thought you had it.

- I remember putting it in that drawer. Now it's not there.

- Sure, it's faster.

But going on the highway, we miss out on the forest

which is a much nicer route.

- Oh, come on! We've been that way so many times!

What does it matter?

One way is as good as another.

- Anyway, we've missed it now. It's just too bad.

- It's no big deal, though. Right, hon? Right?

- Nothing's ever a big deal with you, is it?

But the good news is

it's a great deal better than I thought at first.

Look closer at this one.

Can you see the small dent here?

- Mm-hmm!

- That means

that this little bone right here is broken.

- Oh, my dear, you did hurt yourself!

- Dr. Theo, are you going to open my leg

and glue my bones back together?

- Well, I'm afraid I'm, uh, fresh out of glue.

Instead, I'm going to put a resin cast on your leg.

It's just so you can't move it.

you'll need to watch where you're going.

OK, Bali.

you deserve a lollipop, OK?

- Bali?

- Thank you.

- Well then, Dr. Theo,

how long will the cast have to stay on for?

- For about weeks.

- For whole weeks!

And will Bali be able to go to school?

- Oh yes!

He just has to stay at home for a couple of days to let it rest.

Then he'll be able to go back, unless...

Bali, do you do karate?

- Ha! No!

- That's perfect! Then I can't see a problem.

But you won't be able to go swimming, of course.

- Uh, no swimming, Mommy?

- Don't worry about that, honey.

The time will pass quickly.

- Ga ga goo goo!

- Everything OK?

- I'm so bored, Mommy!

Can't I even go and play in the park?

- Not for a while, darling.

- Can I at least look at the park through the window?

- Of course, Bali!

Now, put your weight on me...

Ooh ah!

- Ga ga ga!

- Ha ha ha ha!

- Oh! They're both so lucky!

I wish I could be out there playing with them.

When did Dr. Theo say that the cast comes off, Mommy?

- Wait there, Bali.

We'll take a look at the calendar together.

Let's see.

This... This is today.

Now, when we get to this picture here, your cast comes off!

- But how many beddy-byes is that?

- Oh! That's so long!

I want it to come off now!

Oh! Unh!

- Well done!

My name's Fabian.

And who are you?

- My name's Bali. His is Kikou.

- I had an accident.

It's impossible for me to skate with these casts on.

- How did the accident happen?

- My fault!

I wanted to make a sun, but tangled up my legs.

- I don't really understand what you mean.

- It's quite simple. I am an ice skater who draws on ice.

- You draw on ice? You mean with a big crayon?

- Mm-mm, with my ice-skates.

I skate and dance on ice, and at the end,

I look at the marks I've made.

You see, if they look good, I'm happy.

But if they're all messy, well...

- You start again!

- Exactly right!

And when I fell down, I was trying to draw...

- Oh, the sun!

- That's right!

I wanted to draw one, then two, then three sunbeams,

when ka-boom!

My legs got all tangled up and I fell down.

- You fell over, and have you broken everything?

- Hmm, yeah! And boy, it's been a while!

- I'm sorry! But you don't seem too sad.

- Of course not!

No point getting upset while waiting.

- And how long do you have to wait?

- Right up until my huge alarm clock goes off.

[ Ticking ]

- But how do you stop being bored?

- You're never bored if you use your imagination.

I will draw a huge bird on the ice.
