PINKALICIOUS: "Monkey Dance."

PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): Sometimes the hardest part of being a big sister

is keeping your little brother entertained.

I'm so bored!

I can't think of anything to do!

(groans)

We just need to think of something totally new

and exciting for you to do!

(gasps) I've got it!

Stand on your head and sing "I'm a Little Teapot"!

Did that last Monday.

Ooh, egg juggling?

Last Tuesday, and last Wednesday.

And Mommy says I'm not allowed to do it again

until I can work the washing machine.

Oh!

This is a tough one.

(gasps) Look at the monkey!

That would be new and exciting,

but where would we get a monkey from?

And if we had one... Peter!

...I'd want to do more than look at it.

I'd want to play with it

and learn to talk monkey

and move like a monkey.

Peter!

Look!

It's really a monkey!

(chattering)

Wow! That's a monkey!

(both giggling)

I can't believe it!

I've always wanted a pet monkey.

We can call him... (gasps)

Hmm...

Maisie?

(chatters approval)

Ooh, this is going to be so much fun!

Right, Maisie?

PINKALICIOUS: Oh...

Where'd she go?

(Maisie chattering)

(chattering)

Hey Maisie!

Welcome to our treehouse.

(chattering)

She sees something she likes.

Me, of course.

(giggling)

(laughing): Or my hat.

That's pretty special too.

(kids giggling, Maisie chattering)

Hey!

What's wrong with it?

It's a great hat!

(chattering)

She likes mine better.

She really does.

She's jumping for joy.

(chattering)

It's almost like she's dancing.

(chattering)

Hey Peter!

You know what would be really new and exciting?

What?

Making up a dance.

A monkey dance.

That's a great idea! (Maisie chatters)

We just have to move like monkeys.

Now, how do monkey's move?

They swing their arms.

Exactly.

Great.

(chattering)

Maisie's doing it.

Wow, she's really good at it.

Well, she is a monkey.

Oh, right. (giggles)

What else...

(gasps) Ooh, maybe we could shake.

(giggles)

(chatters)

(chatters)

(chatters)

Now we just have to put all the moves together

Or at least, it will, when I've figured out

where this wheel should go...

Mommy, this is a monkey.

(chuckling): Okay...

Well, just for a minute.

Wow,

she made a mess before she went, though.

Yes... what a messy monkey.

You will make sure "she" cleans all this up, won't you?

We'll have to find her first.

If she hasn't gone for good.

How about we look in the garden?

and then you can look for your "monkey."

(chatters)

(chattering)

Maisie the monkey jumped on the table!

Well, she-- and you-- need to be more careful.

Please get all this cleaned up.

This is not what I thought having a monkey would be like.

We better clean up.

Well, I guess the sooner we clean up,

the sooner we can get back to having fun.

(kids laughing)

(chattering)

(laughing): Oh Maisie!

Now this is more what I thought having a monkey would be like.

You have to teach us how to juggle like that.

(chatters)

Have you two seen my gear wheel?

I can't finish my Toast-o-Roast-a-Tron without it!

No, we haven't, Mommy.

Not that I know how it fits in yet, of course...

Oh! Mommy, look!

The monkey has your wheel!

Okay, look,

I'm going to close my eyes, hold out my hand,

and count to three.

When I open them, I expect to have my wheel back.

Uh-oh. Oh no!

There really is a monkey!

(chattering)

(giggling): We told you so!

(chattering)

And she really does have my wheel.

(chattering)

Oh, of course.

The wheel should spin on the sprocket,

not rotate on the riser.

(chuckles) Thanks, Maisie Monkey.

I'm going to try that.

(chattering)

Maisie, give it back to Mommy.

(chattering)

I really like Maisie

but I wish she'd stick to things

like playing with blocks, or dancing.

(gasps) That's it!

Oh Pinkalicious, well done, that was great thinking.

(chattering) REPORTER (on radio): And now for the news.

Keepers at the Pinkville Zoo are very worried

about their littlest monkey, Mandy, who escaped today.

Anyone who knows anything about Mandy

is encouraged to get in touch with the zoo.

Maisie...

is your real name Mandy?

(chattering)

♪ ♪

(chattering)

She looks happy to be back.

(sniffs)

Oh, Pinkalicious...

It's just...

I really liked having a monkey for a pet.

Even with all the cleaning up.

Well, Maisie--

I mean Mandy-- could never really be a pet, Pinkalicious.

She belongs here with her monkey friends and family.

This is her home.

(chattering)

♪ ♪

(gasps) She's doing our monkey dance!

Well, it's a great dance.

Say, I'd really like to learn it!

Oh, it's easy!

PINKALICIOUS AND PETER: ♪ Hey monkey, oo ah oo ♪

PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): We might not have a monkey as a pet,

but we'll always have our monkey dance.

ALL: Hey monkey!

KIDS: That's art-a-licious!

(drumming)

MAC: The music makes us wanna get up and dance.

(drumming continues)

SEQUOIA: My name's Sequoia,

we have Fiona,

Lyles,

Mac and Mac's dad.

MAC: My dad Dan is playing the drums.

SEQUOIA: And we're all making up our own dance moves.

"The Wolf."

(drumming continues)

"The Jellyfish."

(drumming continues)

"The Cheetah." (drumming continues)

And "The Celebrating Monkey."

(drumming continues)

Next a kid will teach the other kids

how to do their dance that they made up creatively.

You step forward...

You go like an ocean with your arms.

So you just go like back and forth jumping up and down.

SEQUOIA: Making up dance moves is fun

because you can be very creative.

MAC: All you have to do is just move your body.

I consider that dancing.

DAN: Wolf!

(drumming)

Jellyfish!

(drumming)

Celebrating monkey!

(drumming)

Cheetah!

MAC: The kind of dancing we're doing,

it's a very creative way of moving

and the only limit is your imagination.

(clapping, drumming stops)

PINKALICIOUS: The "Royal Peacock Dance."

PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): Our class is going to perform the peacock dance

for the whole school!

(applause)

Remember, dancers,

you are proud peacocks.

Make your spines long and hold your heads high.

Like this.

♪ ♪

Oh, try not to hunch your back, Lila.

"Long spine means your posture's fine."

♪ ♪

(chuckles) Now you're a peacock!

(giggles)

The peacock dancer with the straightest spine

will get to be the Royal Peacock and wear...

the Royal Peacock crown!

ALL: Ooh!

Who wants to be our Royal Peacock?

(laughter, indistinct chatter)

(giggling)

The crown is heavier than it looks.

(chuckles, groans)

(children gasp then groan, crown thuds)

doesn't fall off while I'm dancing.

(giggles)

It's kind of like walking a tightrope.

RINGMASTER: And now, the great Pinkatini will dance

with the also great Peterino on the high wire!

(audience gasps, drumroll)

RINGMASTER: Oh no!

The Great Peterino has hunched his back and lost his balance!

(gasps)

♪ ♪

RINGMASTER: What bravery!

The great Pinkatini has danced to the rescue!

(cheers and applause)

Whatever you do, just don't hunch your back.

RAFAEL: Hey, guys! Oh, hi!

I guess I'm not the only one practicing my peacock posture.

I really want to be the Royal Peacock.

Hey, do you want to make it a contest?

A contest?

Whoever makes it across the yard without dropping their book

is the Royal Peacock Posture Champion.

And gets to be the Royal Peacock in the dance?

when I'm in your grade.

(giggles)

could both be Royal Peacocks and share the royal crown.

She said that was a danceriffic idea!
