(owl hooting)

PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): I love looking at the stars

and listening to all the nighttime sounds.

(crickets chirping, frog croaking)

Hear that (imitates cricket chirp),

Henrietta?

That's a cricket.

(frog croaks)

And that "croak, croak," that's a frog.

(owl hooting)

Hoo, did you hear that "hoot, hoot," Henrietta?

I think it's an owl.

(owl hooting)

There it is again.

It sounds like it's over by the treehouse.

Come on, let's go see.

♪ ♪

Daddy, I think there's an owl by the treehouse.

Can Henrietta and I go take a look?

Sure, it's not bedtime yet.

Thanks, Daddy.

Come on, Henrietta.

Oh, you might want a flashlight

to get some light on the subject.

(clears throat): Or owl.

(giggles): Got it, Daddy-- thanks!

(owl hoots)

(quietly): It's definitely somewhere nearby.

(Pinkalicious gasps)

It is an owl!

(owl hooting)

Hello! I'm Pinkalicious!

Oh!

I wish we could talk to each other.

Would you like one lump or two, Owlivia?

(in English accent): Two, please.

♪ ♪

Jolly good.

I don't have afternoon tea very often

because I'm always asleep!

(both laughing)

I wonder how you say "hello" in owl.

(owl hoots)

(gasps): She answered me!

Pinkamazing!

What's pinkamazing?

Shh, Peter.

Look, there's an owl in the treehouse.

Really?

I've never seen an owl this close.

When I hoot, she hoots back.

Listen.

Hoot hoot, Owlivia.

(owl hoots twice)

See?

"Hoot hoot" means "hello"!

Wow!

Say something else in owl.

I'll ask her, "How are you?"

(owl mimics Pinkalicious's hoots)

(owl mimics Pinkalicious's hoots)

PINKALICIOUS: Hoot hoot hoot hoot.

(birds chirping)

Can you believe it, Mommy?

The owl and I were actually talking.

Hey, I wonder if she's still in the treehouse.

Ooh, let's go check.

Oh, don't forget, you have soccer practice soon,

Pinkalicious.

Okay, Mommy!

Maybe she went home to sleep.

Owls sleep during the day, right?

They do.

Oh, well.

I can't wait to tell everybody at soccer practice about her.

So I was actually speaking owl

to an owl!

That's amazing.

I hope she comes back so we can talk again.

Heads up, Pinkalicious!

(Coach Mario claps)

Great save, Pinkalicious.

Oh, would you like to play goalie

for our first game on Saturday?

Really, Coach Martinez?

I've never played goalie before.

Well, it looks like you're ready.

(Jasmine and Pinkalicious cheer)

Way to go, goalie Pinkalicious.

Wait until I tell Owlivia.

Hmm, I wonder how you say "goalie" in owl.

Owlivia, guess what!

I'm going to play goalie for the first time!

(excitedly): Hoot!

I have to go to bed.

(laughs)

Oh, right.

You seem tired, Pinkalicious.

Is everything all right?

Well, I might have stayed up a little too long

talking with the owl.

Yeah, remember, it's important to get a good night's sleep.

I know, Daddy, but it's just so incredible

to hoot with a real owl.

Too bad owls aren't around in the daytime.

Well, owls are busy getting a good day's sleep.

(both chuckle)

I hope you're not too tired for soccer practice today.

Oh, not at all!

Coach says I can be goalie for the first game.

And Pinkalicious makes the save!

(yawns)

(yelps)

Good one, Pinkalicious.

I knew you'd be a great goalie!

(blows whistle)

Nice playing, everyone!

Tomorrow is our first big game,

so be sure to get a good night's sleep.

I have to go to bed.

I'm goalie tomorrow,

and coach said we need a good night's sleep.

Oh, I wish you could be there to see it,

but I know you sleep during the day.

I guess one more time's okay. (yawns)

Then I'll go right to sleep.

PINKALICIOUS (sleepily): ♪ Hoot! ♪

(birds chirping)

(Pinkalicious snoring)

(hooting loudly)

Thank you for waking me up, Owlivia!

I'm so tired, I would have slept through my alarm.

Hoot!

Hoot.

Soap!

Yuck!

Pinkalicious, wake up!

Hoot hoot!

(sighs)

(sleepily): Hoot hoot.

I think someone stayed up too late

talking with her owl friend again.

(Coach Mario blows whistle)

Okay, team!

Are you ready for our first big game?

KIDS: Yes!

Goalie, you ready to stop that ball?

♪ ♪

Are you okay, Pinkalicious?

Hoot hoot.

Hoot hoot.

Pinkalicious?

(muttering): I'm ready, coach!

All right! Let's play!

(crowd applauding lightly)

(snoring)

Hoot hoot!

(Pinkalicious snorts awake)

(cheering)

Hoot hoot hoo!

Thank you so much, Owlivia.

Hoot hoot hoot.

Is that your owl friend?

(giggling): Hoot hoo.

Owlivia?

Hooty hoot hoot!

(groans): Where are you?

Sleeping?

Owls don't sleep at night.

Unless they're up all day helping a friend.

(yawning): I guess we both need our sleep.

Sweet dreams, Owlivia.

PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): Hooting with my owl friend is so much fun.

But sometimes even an owl needs a good night's sleep.

And so do I.

KIDS: That's pinkatastic!

TIMUR RUBINSHTEYN: I would like you to help me assemble the instrument.

BOY: Today we are with Timur Rubinshteyn.

He's a classical percussionist.

He plays in a symphony orchestra.

(orchestra playing)

The xylophone is a musical instrument

kind of like combination of the piano and drums.

The piece I will play is a third movement of a piano sonata

by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

(playing Mozart piece)

GIRL: It was fast and slow,

high and low.

(continues playing piece)

It sounded really beautiful.

(piece ends)

(kids applaud)

BOY: He taught us how to play part of what he played.

RUBINSHTEYN: E-G, E-G, C-E, D-F, D-F, B-D.

Yeah, it's a pattern.

A pattern is something that repeats.

RUBINSHTEYN: E-G, E-G, C-E-- great.

(playing Mozart piece) Yeah!

Not so bad, right? We can do it.

(all playing Mozart piece)

(playing Mozart piece)

GIRL : Music makes me feel happy.

(playing Mozart piece)

Sometimes it's calming.

BOY: It was a very good performance.

(piece ends, kids cheer)

PINKALICIOUS: "Amazing Tower of Igloos."

(voiceover): It's been snowing for weeks.

Peter and I have been making snowmen and snow women,

snow dogs and snow cats,

and lots and lots of snow fairies.

♪ ♪

What should we make today?

Anything but snow fairies.

Um... snow parrots!

We made those last Tuesday.

PINKALICIOUS: Oh.

Snow... snakes?

PETER: Last Thursday.

Huh, maybe we've made everything there is to make out of snow.

Maybe we should just go back into the house.

House? Peter!

We could make a snow house!

Oh, that would be so much fun!

But...

What kind of house can you make out of snow?

(gasps)

Whoa!

♪ ♪

(squawking)

(yelps and laughs)

(squawking) Hello!

(squawking)

Ooh, yes, please!

Mmm...

Bleh!

But these taste like fish.

(penguins squawking excitedly)

(squawking continues)

(giggles)

(gasps): We should make an igloo!

What's an igloo?

A little round house made of snow.

And we should definitely not make fish cupcakes.

(shudders)

Um, okay.

But how do we make an igloo?

Uh, well, they're round.

So let's start by drawing a circle.

♪ ♪

Now we just need to make some bricks.

Hmm.

I've got an idea.

♪ ♪

It's a little too early for lunch, Peter.

It's never too early for lunch.

But that isn't why I got these.

Look.

♪ ♪

Like making sand castles at the beach!

Only... (shivers)

Colder! (both laugh)

A snow brick!

Oh!

That's a Peterrific idea!

Now we just need to make lots of bricks, and build them up.

♪ ♪

PINKALICIOUS: Yay! Finished!

PETER: Great!

Uh, how do we get out?

PINKALICIOUS: Um...

(gasps): Oh! I know!

It's fantastic!

It's my favorite thing we've built, ever!

Uh, what should we build now?

Oh, it's not done yet.

It needs a few finishing touches.

♪ ♪

Cushions!

Ooh, nightlight!

♪ ♪

(penguin squeaks)

Ice cream?

What else are you going to eat in a house made of snow?

(laughing): Of course.

Hi! Hey, everyone!

Oh, hello!

Thank you so much for coming

on the very first Pinkerton igloo tour.

If you look to your right, you'll see the finished igloo.

RAFAEL AND JASMINE: Whoa!

I can't believe you made an igloo.

Me, either.

I didn't even know what one was until this morning.

(gasps): Can we go inside?

Of course.

But you'll have to go one at a time.

There's not a lot of room in there.

Not with all the furniture.

Furniture? (kids laugh)

Wow!

Aw, what a cute little bed.

Are you going to sleep in there?

BOTH: Yes!

Oh. Oh.

I guess it was your idea to build it.

I guess.

And there is only one bed.

(sadly): Uh-huh.

I'd love to have a sleepover in an igloo.

Me, too.

There has to be a way we can all have a sleepover in an igloo.

What if we build everyone an igloo?

If we build them in a square, we could call it a squigloo!

(laughing)

Great idea, Peter!

Um...

I don't think you've got room

for three more igloos in your yard.

Oh.

No.

We could all go home,

build our own igloo in our own yard.

We could.

But it wouldn't be the same.

No, we want to be together.

Look!

Blocks!

Blocks are great, Pinkalicious,

but we need to think about igloos right now.

(laughing): I am!

What if we do what you said, Peter?

We build three more igloos,

only we build them up, like a block tower,

one on top of the other?

(kids exclaim)

Let's do that!

MOM: Oh, wow!

DAD: Wow!

The bottom one is mine.

This one's mine!

This one's mine!

And this little one's mine, because I'm the smallest.

We're going to sleep in them tonight.

Oh, um, if that's okay?

I don't know, Pinkalicious.

It's going to be very cold tonight.

We'll bring lots of blankets.

Okay.

If you really want to, you can.

But Jasmine and Rafael will need to check with their parents.

I'll go and check right now.

Me, too!

Now remember, kids, if anyone gets too cold,

there are beds made up inside.

Night-night!

PINKALICIOUS AND PETER: Night, Daddy!

RAFAEL: Night, Mr. P!

PINKALICIOUS: Night, Rafael!

RAFAEL: Night, Pinkalicious!

PINKALICIOUS: Night, Jasmine!

JASMINE: Night, Pinkalicious!

PINKALICIOUS (giggling): Night, Peter!

PETER (giggling): Night, Pinkalicious!

(kids giggling)

(owl hoots)

PETER (giggles): Night, owl.

(teeth chattering in distance)

(gasps): What's that noise?

RAFAEL (shivering): It's my teeth chattering.

I'm really cold.

PETER: Jump up and down!

That always warms me up.

RAFAEL (shivering): But that'll keep me awake.

I think I'm too cold to stay out here.

♪ ♪

(sighs)

(teeth chattering in distance) Oh, no! Who's that?

JASMINE (shivering): It's me.

I think I have to go in, too, Pinkalicious.

♪ ♪

At least there's still you and me, Peter!

(teeth chattering in distance)

Oh, Peter!

Are you cold, too?

PETER (shivering): Very cold.

Have to go inside.

♪ ♪

Whoa, whoa, whoa, wow!

(laughs)

That was fun!

Night, Pinkalicious!

Well, I'm not going to...

(shivering): Go in.

(teeth chattering)

Oh, no!

(yelps and shivers): I'm too cold!

♪ ♪

Would you like cereal instead of pancakes, Pinkalicious?

No, I'm fine, thank you.

I'm just not hungry.

I'll take them! (boys laugh)

It was really cold last night, Pinkalicious.

And you stayed outside longer than anyone.

I guess.

I was just looking forward to everyone sleeping over

in the igloo tower.

That's why we built it.

That's why it was amazing.

I didn't sleep over in it,

but I still think the tower of igloos is amazing.

You... do? Yeah!

I slid down the tower stairs last night,

and it was awesome!

You slid down?

Uh-huh!

I went so fast!

It was a bit bumpy, though.

Wow!

I think I just thought of a way to make the tower of igloos

even more amazing!

Pack in the snow,

smooth it down,

no more bumps.

Okay!

Ready...

Get set...

Go!

Whee!

Whee!

Yay!

That... was... amazing!

Oh, my turn!

Whee!

Oh, wow!

Whoa, what is this?

Welcome to the amazing igloo slide!

RAFAEL: Whee!

Whoa!

Whee!

Yeah! It really does look amazing.

(laughs): Yeah!

(shouts in excitement)

(Pinkalicious laughs)

Whoo!

Wow!

Whee!

(kids shouting in excitement)

PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): The amazing tower of igloos didn't turn out

the way I thought it would.

It turned out even better!

PETER: Whee!

(kids laughing)
