PINKALICIOUS (voiceover): I love collecting seashells.

I can even hear the ocean inside of some of them.

(gentle whooshing sound) (giggles)

(yawns) (yelps)

Put me down, I'm trying to nap.

Can you help me?

What are you?

I am Aqua.

Hi!

My name is Pinkalicious.

Oh, I love the color pink, but blue is my favorite color.

I am a merminnie.

What's a merminnie?

A merminnie is a smaller, rarer species of mermaid.

Oh.

Just like there are lots of different kinds of fish,

there are many different kinds of mermaids.

Merminnies only inhabit this sea coast.

I am actually quite well-known, and I...

Wowee!

I didn't think mermaids or merminnies actually existed.

Well, they do, and here I am.

Most merminnies like the color blue.

There are so many shades of blue.

There are light blues and dark blues.

I bet you can't guess which shade of blue

is my very favorite.

I can try to guess.

Hmm...

Is it navy blue?

No, not navy blue.

Uh, what about

sky blue?

That is a pretty shade, just not my favorite.

(gasping): I know.

I bet it's aqua blue. Like your name!

(laughing): That's a really good guess.

But still not my favorite blue.

Peter, look what I found!

A merminnie mermaid!

This is Aqua.

Whoa!

Say something, Aqua.

I'd like to go home now, please.

Yes, you do need a home.

Like, like this-- but better!

Come on, Pinkalicious.

Let's build a palace for her.

I bet she's a princess.

Great idea!

We'll make you the most beautiful merminnie sand palace

you've ever seen.

You're going to love it.

Pinkamazing. Cool.

I have a feeling

this is your favorite shade of blue.

Indigo blue?

Pretty, but not my favorite.

How about this color blue?

It looks like...

(gasps) Turquoise!

Hmm...

Pretty.

Just not my favorite color.

Do you like it, Aqua?

Oh, yes!

It's lovely, but it isn't my home.

I live underwater, and I should get back there.

Wouldn't you like to have lunch with us first?

Hmm, what are you eating?

I normally only eat algae and phytoplankton,

so human food would be a treat.

Pinkatastic!

Mommy, Daddy?

Is it okay if we go back to the snack stand

to get something to eat?

Oh, hello, Pinkertons, and friend.

What would you like?

I would like one of everything.

And don't forget the sea salt.

Do you have anything blue?

That's Aqua's favorite color.

Coming right up.

Here you go.

That looks great, thank you.

Mmm, mmm.

Blueberry yogurt is delicious.

Mmm, so's this blueberry muffin.

Do I have blue on my face?

(giggling): Super blue!

Oh, what about me?

I see blue.

(laughter)

Maybe this is your favorite shade of blue?

(giggling): not my favorite.

Well, if you stay a little longer,

I bet we can figure it out.

(gasps): Would you like to play miniature golf with us?

It's a really fun game.

I do love games.

Well, I guess I could stay a little longer.

BOTH: Yay!

All you have to do is hit the little ball into the hole.

I'll help you,

but then I really should be going.

Just hit the ball,

I'll grab it, and then you'll win.

Okay.

Ha!

All right! (giggles)

(groans) That's cheating.

I don't want to play if you can't play fairly.

♪ ♪

(groans)

AQUA: I'm...

I'm sorry about

grabbing the ball, Pinkalicious.

Perhaps I can teach you to surf.

I've always wanted to learn how to surf.

Uh, be right back.

Mommy, Daddy!

Is it okay if I borrow this?

I made a new friend and she's going to teach me how to surf!

Oh, sure.

(seagulls squawking)

Just balance on this board

and ride through the waves like this.

Whoa!

Careful, don't go too far.

I think I'm finally getting it.

Here comes a wave!

Ready?

(laughing): I'm surfing!

This is funtastic!

Way to go, Pinkalicious!

(seagull squawking)

Oh no!

Here comes a seagull.

Whoa!

Help! He thinks I'm a fish!

Oh no!

Quick, Peter!

The seagull is by the lighthouse.

We can still save Aqua.

Remember, no going in the water unless we can see you.

PINKALICIOUS: Okay!

AQUA: Oh! Oh!

Put me down right now!

Don't worry, Aqua.

We'll save you.

(panting): We have to... hurry.

(panting): It's no... use.

We'll never... catch it.

AQUA (distantly): Help!

(panting): There has to be a way to save her.

Aqua!

Aqua! Where are you?

(gull crying) (gasps)

Let her go, seagull.

(seagull cawing)

Help!

(gasps) Aqua!

(seagull cawing)

Gotcha!

If we can give the seagull something tasty to eat,

maybe it'll drop Aqua.

Come on!

♪ ♪

(gasps) Aha!

Mussels.

Here, seagull!

Come and get it.

(seagull cawing, Aqua shouting)

Help!

(cries out)

Aqua, are you okay?

(sighs) I, uh... I think so.

Oh, thank you for saving me.

I really appreciate it,

but now it's time for me to go home.

You humans lead such exhausting lives.

Okay, Aqua, you can go back home.

So long, Aqua.

It was really nice to meet you.

What are you doin?

N-n-no!

Oh, help me!

There are sharks and s and crabs in he.

This is not my home.

Oh, get me out of here.

(gasps)

I don't understand.

You said you want to go home.

If you don't live in the ocean,

where do you live?

Over there.

We came to this beach so we could visit

the aquarium where Aqua lives.

Aqua is famous.

We were going to tell you all about her.

Then you were having so much fun surfing...

Wait!

But we found Aqua on the beach.

Sometimes I like to sneak out and go to the beach

and see what I can discover.

It's good to be curious.

You never know what you'll find.

(laughs) That's for sure.

(laughter)

And you humans are lots of fun.

Now I need to go back home before anyone notices I'm gone.

Will you take me?

But, Aqua, I still haven't guessed

your favorite shade of blue.

Oh, there's still time for that.

(chuckles)

♪ ♪

(gasps) Whoa!

Isn't it beautiful?

(gasping, marveling) Oh, this is nice.

Wow, Aqua really is famous.

PINKALICIOUS: Look, Peter.

Blue-green kelp, light blue bubbles.

And teal-blue fish.

I've never seen so many shades of blue.

Have you?

I guess I'll never be able to guess

which is Aqua's favorite.

That's because every shade of blue

is my favorite.

BOTH: Oh!

(giggling)

(whispering): Thank you Aqua.

You are bluetiful. (giggles)

(awed noises, clapping)

Well, what do you say

we go get some blueberry and sea swirl ice cream?

Sounds great. Yum!

Today was truly Aqualicious.

Who knew that collecting seashells could be so much fun?

(laughter)

KIDS: That's art-alicious!

BOY: I think I need

brown, green...

And some turquoise,

and some white.

Today, we are painting!

♪ ♪

We each picked our different view.

We're trying to sketch.

BOY: And then we started painting.

We are using watercolor.

This is the thing

that has all the paints in it.

BOY: You have to wet your brush like this

and then stroke the paint a little.

And then you're as good as a doorknob.

GIRL: I like how

the water has different colors.

She's using light blue

and dark blue and a little bit of black.

Yes, I like it.

♪ ♪

I used a stick, a pinecone,

and an oak leaf instead of a brush.

GIRL: Zachary is using things

that come from nature

to do something different.

I already did the grass

in random places.

So now I'm doing the dirt.

To make the color, there's some white

and some brown.

I made the clouds and the sails of the boat

completely white, just by not painting it.

The white is just the paper.

BOY: I think

it's super amazing.

PINKALICIOUS: "Sing in the Spring."

♪ ♪

(birds chirping)

♪ It's spring! ♪

♪ It's spring! ♪

♪ It's spring! ♪

(giggling)

I can't wait to smell the flowers.

♪ ♪

Wait. Oh!

(giggles)

Where are the flowers?

(confused): They haven't bloomed yet.

They haven't even started to open.

But it's the first day of spring.

The springtime fairies should have brought the flowers by now.

(gasps) There must be flowers blooming in the park.

Come on!

Oh no!

These buds are all closed up, too.

What's going on?

We better ask the springtime fairies.

Fairyanna? Fairies?

Yoohoo!

I think their fairy house was somewhere near here.

(high-pitched sneezing)

What was that?

A weird bird?

♪ ♪

Oh, there's the fairy house.

And some fairies.

(fairies sneezing)

Are they sneezing?

(Fairyanna sneezing)

(sneezes)

Pinkali-- (sneezes)

Oh, how lovely to see-- (sneezes)

Hi, Fairyanna.

Are you all right?

We've all come down with... (sneezes)

the fairy flu.

But don't worry, people can't catch it.

(sneezing)

(sneezing, moaning)

I'm so sorry you're all sick.

Peter and I were just wondering

why aren't the flowers blooming?

It's because we're too sick to sing in the spring.

(sneezes)

We feel terrible about it.

No one in Pinkville can enjoy the beautiful spring colors

and smell the flowers.

There must be some way to get the flowers blooming.

Hmmm.

(gasps): Maybe we could sing in the spring

while you rest and get better.

Ooh!

You'd do that for us?

Sure.

We love to...

(gasps) Wonderful!

Here you go-- three vials of fairy dust.

Just sprinkle the dust on the flower buds

while you sing the song.

Wow, real fairy dust!

Remember, a little goes a long way.

And be carel not to spill .

This is all the fairy dt we have.

Don't worry, Fairyanna.

We'll be careful.

And we'll get those flowers blooming in no time.

Mommy, Mommy!

Is it okay if we go sing in the spring?

Mm, what about the springtime fairies?

Isn't that their job?

They have the flu.

Oh, I'm so sorry.

That's too bad.

So, we're going to help

by singing their "Sing in the Spring” song.

And we sprinkle this real fairy dust on the buds.

It goes like this:

(both gasp)

Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Plum.

Would it be okay if Peter and I sing in the spring for you?

The springtime fairies have the flu.

Oh, that's a shame.

I was wondering why the flowers weren't blooming.

Oh yeah, bring on the flowers.

But first, better put down the vial, Pinkalicious.

Right, we don't want to spill any more.

It should be safe here.

(relieved sigh): I'm so glad it's okay.

We better go to the park, Peter.

We've only got one vial left.

And we have to make a lot of flowers bloom.

It'll be great.

(laughing)

Hey, there's Rafael and Jasmine.

(gasping): Oh!

Can we show them the real fairy dust?

Please?

Okay, but just for a minute.

♪ ♪

Hey, Rafael; great to see you, Jasmine.

Hi, Pinkalicious; hi, Peter.

Grab a spoon and share some ice cream.

Oh, we'd love to, but we're helping the springtime fairies

sing in the spring.

The fairies have the flu.

Aw, the poor fairies.

Look!

This is real fairy dust.

But it's our last vial,

so we have to be really careful and make it last.

Wow, I've never seen fairy dust befo.

Me neither.

Ooh, it's so colorful!

(sniffs)

Ah...

ah...

(sneezes)

The fairy dust!

My store just bloomed.

I am so sorry.

Dust always makes me sneeze.

Fairy dust is powerful stuff.

Ugh, we know.

We'll just have to tell the fairies what happened.

Maybe they can help us.

(Fairyanna coughing)

FAIRYANNA (gasping): Pinkalicious! Peter!

(sneezes)

How is singing in the spring going?

We have something to tell you, Fairyanna.

We didn't mean to, but...

We spilled all the fairy dust.

(fairies gasp)

Oh dear.

We're really sorry!

It was an accident.

I guess there won't be any spring flowers this year.

It's okay.

Even we fairies spill the fairy dust sometimes.

I don't suppose you've got some extra fairy dust somewhere?

But I don't remember where I put it.

I remember now!

I made these flowers bloom

just before I started feeling sick.

(sneezes)

I must have dropped it when I started sneezing.

(gasps) And it looks like

there's just enough dust to sing in the spring.
