That's me, Fred the housecat.

HAL: Wow. Your new kite is awesome, Nature Cat.

Yeah. It's flying so high!

It's all in the wrists, my friends.

The key is to never lose control of the handle,

not even for a second.

Who wants apple slices?

Ooh! Don't mind if I do!

Mmm, so crisp...

Uh, Nature Cat?

My kite!

There! I see it!

Man-oh-man, it's too high up.

Nonsense.

This here tree is no match for... Nature Cat!

Ha-ha!

(Nervous giggling) Ooh, I can't watch!

Hey, you got it! (Applauding)

That was very smooth. Very impressive.

But of course!

You'd be pretty hard-pressed

to find a better climber than yours truly!

Oh, please.

Whoa!

Ronald.

You call that climbing, Nature Cat?

I know pigs that can climb better.

Ronald! Pigs can't climb at all.

(Hushed): Hal, I think that was his point.

Huh?

Oh, right. Gotcha. Sorry.

Face it, Nature Cat. You may be able to scurry up a tree.

But I'm twice the climber you'll ever be.

Oh really, Ronald?

What have you climbed that was so impressive?

(Chuckling)

What have I climbed?

Well, I've climbed...

I've climbed...

I've climbed that mountain!

DAISY: You've climbed The Mighty Mountain Peak?

Pfff, have I climbed the Mighty Mountain Peak?

I climb it practically every day.

I'll tell you all about it some time...

you know, since you'll never be able to do it yourselves.

(Laughing)

That's where you're wrong, Ronald.

I bet we can climb that mountain in no time!

(Laughing) No you can't.

Yes we can.

No you can't. Yes we can!

Ha! I dare you to try.

Oh, and don't forget to snap some photos from the summit,

just so I know you're telling the truth.

Now, if you'll excuse me,

I'm going to be late for my grooming appointment.

It's handsome time for the Ronald-- Whoa!

Let's climb a mountain!

There it is, you guys.

The Mighty Mountain Peak. And... a giant peanut?

(Munching)

(Mouth full): What now? Oh, sorry.

Man-oh-man, if we're gonna pull this off,

we have some serious planning to do.

(Laughing) Oh, Daisy! We've all been on hikes before.

How much harder can this be?

Oh man, I think a lot harder!

This part looks pretty steep to me!

You're right, Squeeks! Look...

From here to here,

it goes from an elevation of feet to , feet.

Whaaaaaat.

That's... really steep!

What he said!

This isn't a flat hike.

Climbing a mountain is probably way harder,

and easier to get tired.

Then we gotta be smart about what we pack.

Did somebody say pack?

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!

(Muffled): I'm okay!

Hal, what did you pack?

(Grunting) Just the necessities.

A radio, my favorite water bowl,

my second favorite water bowl, and a few chew toys.

(Chew toys squeaking) Including Mr. Chewinsky,

Chewlia Roberts,

Bob Chewhart, and Inspector Chewseau.

Uh, I think you may have overdone it.

You're right.

Sorry, Inspector Chewseau.

It's nothing personal. (Chewseau squeaking)

Do you really want to carry all of that, Hal?

You should probably only bring what you need.

Well, we'll definitely need some good hiking shoes

to keep us from slipping.

Copy that, Squeeks!

And some warmer clothing

for when it gets colder at higher elevations,

up where the snow is.

And we'll need lots of water. And plenty of snacks.

One step ahead of you there...

Ha-ha! Now we're all ready!

Ronald thinks he can out-climb us?

Well that poor kitty is in for a rude awakening!

"Elevation... , feet."

", feet"? As in like, feet feet?

That's like, a lot of feet!

According to this, it should take us

about two and a half hours to reach the peak.

I wonder if we should have trained for the climb first?

Train first? Please!

We shall conquer this mountain on the very first try.

If Ronald can do it, we can do it!

I'll see you soon, summit! Onward and... upward!

Whoa.

This is definitely harder than hiking through the forest.

(Panting) My calves are on fire, man.

Me too!

Me too too also! My legs hurt hurt.

Hey, Nature Cat, what about you, bud?

How you holding up?

(Gasping) Easy as pie.

(Chuckling)

HAL: I love pie!

(Gasping) Whoa.

These tree roots are slippery!

Yeah, these slippery roots will really slow us down.

Huh...

Here, Hal. Try this hiking stick.

HAL: Yeah, this totally helps!

Thanks, Nature Cat!

(Stick snapping)

Sweet! My own hiking stick!

Whoa! This is awesome!

How does that feel, Daisy?

Good! Like I have a lot more control.

Hey, this is fun!

Oh, hey you guys,

do you happen to know what a tree's least favorite month is?

What?

It's Sep-timber!

(Laughing) I know... I know...

(Laughing)

Good one, Nature Cat! Ha-ha-ha-- Wait... I don't get it.

Oh, my feetsies are starting to hurt.

I should've broken in these new hiking shoes.

Ugh, or just chewed on them a little bit. Rrr.

(Sighing) We've been hiking for over an hour. Let's see...

According to the trail map, we've still got a ways to go.

Look!

That waterfall we just passed is here.

Which means we should be around here.

Oh, man! That's not even halfway to the summit!

I might be too tired to make it to the top...

even with my sweet new hiking stick.

(Sighing)

We'll never reach the summit at this rate.

Hmm...

Aha! I have an idea!

Let's take a snack break by that boulder?

That way we can catch our breath and regain some energy

for the rest of the-- hike.

SQUEEKS: Yup! Mmm. I totally agree!

(Slurping through straw)

That's an amazing idea, Nature Cat.

Hey! Look! You see those tiny homes in the distance?

DAISY: Yeah. SQUEEKS: Uh-huh.

NATURE CAT: That's the street we live on.

No way.

Whoa! Hey, I live there!

Wow. You can see so much from up here.

And the view is only get better the higher we get.

I want to see what the whole city looks like from the summit!

Oh, yeah! Me too!

Me too too also!

Come on, g*ng! We've got more climbing to do!

Onward and yonward!

Sorry, Nature Cat, I know that's your thing...

(Nature Cat sighing)

Oh, yeah. Almost there!

We are so close to the summit, I can feel it!

Uh, I think I feel something else.

Oh no, rain! I don't want to get wet!

Oh! What do we do?

Oh no, I left my poncho back home with Chewseau!

Quick, Hal, Daisy, hand me your hiking sticks!

Everyone get under!

Ah. That's better!

Well, my friends, it does not look

like reaching the summit is in the cards today.

I suppose I'm not such a good climber after all.

Not a good climber?

The only reason we've made it this far is because of you.

Yeah! I was ready to give up before,

but you inspired me to push a little harder.

And I never would have made it past those slippery tree roots

without your walking stick trick.

And we'd all be soaking wet right now,

if you hadn't built this roof.

I guess...

Maybe being a good mountain climber

isn't just about reaching the peak.

It's about being prepared for the climb

even before it even begins.

And it's about being willing to challenge yourself

and to change things up, when you encounter a problem.

What she said and what she said!

Wow. You know something, you all are right.

And the best part is,

we can always try to reach the summit next time,

or the time after that.

It's not like this Mighty Mountain's going anywhere!

Hey, I think the rain stopped. Are we close to the summit?

Okay, let's see.

Here's where we are...

and here's how much farther we have to go to reach the top.

I'm starting to realize this is more of an all-day hike.

Why don't we tackle this mountain another day?

Great idea, Nature Cat!

Maybe we can climb some smaller mountains in the meantime,

you know, to build up our climbing skills.

Yeah!

And it'll be that much more rewarding when we finally

do reach the summit of The Mighty Mountain Peak!

What she said and what she said, again!

Then it's agreed!

Let's head back home and take a well-deserved cat nap.

But first we need a photo for Ronald.

Say cheese!

Mmm, cheese!

(Camera clicking)

This isn't the summit!

Why are you showing me this?

To thank you.

The Mighty Mountains were incredible, you were right!

Yeah, we had the most fun ever.

And we're gonna try to climb it again soon!

Ah-ha! So you didn't reach the top.

I guess I'm the best climber, after all.

Well, it's not all about reaching the top, Ronald!

Huh...

Oh, and hey, I accidentally left my binoculars on the trail

up there, you know, by the boulder lookout point?

Boulder lookout point?

Oh, oh, right, right, the-- uh-- the boulder lookout point.

Yes, yeah. Great spot. Yeah. Know it well.

Since you're always climbing the mountain and reaching the top,

do you mind grabbing those binoculars for me,

if you see 'em?

B-but-- wait-- now, just one second...

Thanks, Ronald!

(Panting) Are we there yet?

It feels like we've been climbing for hours!

Eh, not quite yet, Ronald.

Wow!

How do you get these plants to grow

so healthy and beautiful, Daisy?

Well, they need food to live and grow just like we do?

Oh food! Okay! (Clapping)

Wait, so do plants have kitchens?

No kitchens, Hal! Plants have...

photosynthesis!

Oh, right! Of course! Photosynthesis!

Obviously. (Chuckling)

Who doesn't know what photosynthesis is? (Chuckling)

Oh wait, it's me.

It's me who doesn't know what photosynthesis is. What is it?

Photosynthesis is what the plant does

to get the food it needs to grow.

I make sure they have some good soil and some water,

but the air and sunlight do the rest.

That's photosynthesis!

Then I say: Yay photosynthesis! Yay, plants!

Hal, wait!

Wait?! Come on! Why wait?

Because the swamp is dangerous for little critters!

We have to be careful of the plants here!

Oh, the plants! Yup! Obviously! (Chuckling)

Wait, why?

Because, here in this swamp,

there are plants that eat bug-size critters like...

us!

Uh, excuse me.

Did you say plants that eat bug-size critters like us?

Then why did you make us so small?

It's uh-- It makes the story way better! It adds tension.

Yeah so these swamp plants

can't get enough of what they need from the soil.

So another way they get their food

is by eating bugs and other little critters.

Bug eating plants! Whoa, that is so cool!

But beware the plants that trap!

And beware the plants that stick!

And beware the plants that close bugs in

and eat them for a snack.
