A Taste of Love (2024)

[music]

Oh see, see see rider

I said see

what you have done

Oh see, see see rider

I said see

what you have done now

Girl, you made me love you

And now, now, now

your lovin' man has gone

See see rider

See see rider

- Nice!

- Can we go now?

Not until I get my hands on

some of those.

And I won't be

back till fall

Well, I'm going

away, baby

Let's go.

You two are about as slow

as a herd of turtles.

What do you think you're doing?

- We were just--

- Just trying to snatch up

some of this chicken I just

pulled out of the fryer.

I told you.

What's going on here?

Nothing!

We're just talking.

Okay. The kitchen isn't any

place to be playing around.

Yes, Dad.

That goes for you too,

young Jacob.

Yes, Mr. Rider.

[music]

- How was the pastry?

- Needed salt.

That's what I said.

Shh.

Thanks, Grandma!

Let's go.

Oh.

[seagulls squawking]

If I could eat one food

for the rest of my life,

it would be

Grandma CC's chicken.

What about you?

Same.

You can't choose

the same food as me.

Well, then I choose ice cream.

Dang, that's a good one.

You think you'll be a chef

like your dad and grandma

when you grow up?

The most famous chef

in the world.

Except I want to live

somewhere fancy...

like New York...

Paris...

somewhere like that.

Maybe I'll live there, too.

You want to live in a big city?

As long as I'm with you.

[laughs]

You're funny.

[music]

Do, do, do, do

Do, do, do

Do you ever wonder

where it's coming from?

One day you've got it

The next day it's gone

People never believe me

when I say it moves so fast

They never miss

what they never had

I'm comin' home

(I'm comin' home,

I'm comin', comin')

So leave the lights on

(Leave the lights on)

You're what I want

(You're what I want)

So leave the lights on

for me

(Leave the lights on)

[Man] It's quick.

It's easy. It's delicious.

Welcome back, everyone!

I'm Taylor Rider.

And in case you're

just joining us,

today I am teaching you

how to turn your basic

big game party platters

into dishes that

will make your entire team

cheer touchdown!

Now, over here, we have a fresh

take on a classic party staple,

chili con queso.

[Man] Let's hold for a moment.

Taylor, can you do that again?

Just with a little more

enthusiasm, if you can.

Big smile.

Just like that.

Now, over here, we have a fresh

take on a classic party staple,

chili con queso.

I prepared it all

before the break,

so let's check on it

and see how it tastes.

To finish the dish, you want to

add one scoop of sour cream,

and some chives.

Little bit or a lot,

that is up to you.

Give it a stir.

And...

Dun-dun-dun-dun-dah-dah.

Mm. Oh. I cannot wait for you

to try this at home.

Seriously, it's gonna wow

all of your party guests.

And the best part is,

- it's quick,

- [Crowd] It's quick!

- it's easy,

- [Crowd] It's easy!

- and it's delicious.

- [Crowd] And it's delicious!

- That's right!

- [cheers and applause]

I'm Taylor June Rider,

and as always,

thank you for inviting me

to the party.

Cut! All right, everyone.

That is a wrap on this episode

and the third and final season

of Quick, Easy, and Delicious.

Thank you, everybody.

Taylor, what a way

to cap off the season.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Seriously, I never wanted

to throw a tailgate party

so bad in my life,

and I don't even like sports.

I do my best.

So what brings you

down to the trenches?

Good news, I hope.

Well, I locked in a meeting

tomorrow at 9:00 AM

with the network president.

I assume you'll be

able to make that?

Yes, absolutely.

Of course. Thank you.

No need to thank me.

You earned it.

- I'll see you tomorrow.

- Yeppers, I'll see you tomorrow!

Yeppers...

Yeppers?

Man. No I don't--

[Annette] Remember,

good chimichurri is all

about the fresh ingredients.

Now, you don't want to turn

the ingredients into paste,

but you do want to smash

everything up just enough

to fuse the flavors.

My mom always says,

"Cuando cocinas con el corazon,

es imposible hacer un mal

plato."

"When you cook from the heart,

it's impossible to make

a bad dish."

From my childhood to yours.

[music]

[knocking on door]

Come in!

I just heard the great news

about your meeting tomorrow!

Congratulations!

Oh!

It is time to finally

put QED behind us

and show the world who

Taylor Rider really is!

I can see you now standing

alongside the titans,

Rachael Ray, Stephen Coe,

and Annabelle Fisher!

Okay. Let's not

get ahead of ourselves.

We should celebrate.

I've been dying to try

that new place

that just opened up

around the corner.

I would love to, but I can't

tonight 'cause I have a date.

Who's the lucky guy?

Give me all the deets.

His name is Tim.

He's a self-proclaimed foodie.

And technically

we have not met yet.

Dating app again?

It's nothing to be ashamed of.

- Everybody's on them.

- [sighs]

It kind of seems like

a digital meat market.

Oh, please. Every girl has

to kiss a couple of frogs

before she finds her prince.

And trust me,

your prince is out there.

And I bet you

he is fine.

[light piano music]

I give up.

Could I get some ketchup

that's already out of the

bottle?

Right away, sir.

Thanks.

What kind of fancy restaurant

brings you ketchup in a bottle?

You should try a

bite without it.

Nah. No.

I'm a ketchup kind of guy.

I mean, let's be honest.

What doesn't taste better

with a little ketchup, right?

So I should ask you,

how does someone become

a Culinary Network chef?

I entered a food competition

a few years ago

and took first place.

What about you?

Were you a chef

before that or...

I was a sous chef at a boutique

restaurant in New York for years

before the network

snatched me up.

But I've been around

food my whole life.

And now you finally have

a career worth pursuing.

What does that mean?

Who wants to grind 12 hours a

day in a kitchen? Am I right?

I mean, what's the fun in that?

It's not the most

glamorous job at times,

but when you create food

from your heart and soul that

people genuinely love, there

is something magical about it.

- Your ketchup, sir.

- Thanks, boss.

You know, not to

overstate the obvious,

but I'm a pretty

big foodie myself.

Mm-hmm, I saw that

on your profile.

You should let me cook

for you sometime.

I promise.

I will not disappoint.

[tablet ringing]

Hey.

You back at the office?

Burning the midnight oil.

So how'd it go?

Horrible.

I should have canceled.

You found a thing, didn't you?

What do you mean a thing?

Don't play coy with me.

I know you.

There was definitely a thing.

I don't...

Okay. He put ketchup

on his beef Wellington.

I mean, who does that?

He takes me to the nicest

restaurant in downtown

and then put ketchup

on his Wellington.

And it wasn't just a little bit.

It was like a whole layer.

You're on another level

right now. I cannot with you.

I'm sorry.

It was barbaric.

I see a lot of cats

in your future.

[Taylor]

Are you saying I'm picky?

I am particular, not picky.

Yeah? Um, what about that

hot architect you went out with?

We both agreed the pitch

of his voice was too high.

It was like nails

on a chalkboard.

[Jessica] And um,

that bartender you met?

Oh, jeans and flip-flops guy?

Don't even get me

started on him.

And now, ketchup.

You might be a little right.

Admitting you have a problem

is the first step.

[Taylor] It's that bad?

We'll get into all that later.

Mr. Ketchup Man

can go sauce himself.

How are you feeling

about tomorrow?

[music]

Nervous. Scared.

What if it's not good enough?

[Jessica] You are the most

creative and charismatic

TV chef I know.

Why all the doubt?

I don't know.

Three years of being pigeonholed

into party platters

and finger foods can really take

a toll on a chef's confidence.

Water under the bridge.

All you need to focus on

is knocking the stuffing out

of that meeting tomorrow.

[Taylor] [sighs]

You're right.

Positive affirmations, baby.

And get some sleep.

Goodnight.

It's gonna be great.

It's gonna be great.

It's going to be great.

[music]

[lively office chatter]

There she is.

Good morning, Mr. Thompson.

Mrs. Smithers, it is so good

to finally meet you.

- Now, please have a seat.

- [Taylor] Thank you.

And these are for you.

Mr. Thompson,

you want to start us off?

Sure. Taylor, for the past

three years, your audience base

has nearly doubled

with each new episode.

And yesterday's final episode

landed QED

as the third highest watched

show currently running.

Congratulations.

That's great!

Who knew?

Exactly. So if it isn't broke,

why fix it, right?

I know a lot of work

went into this.

But to be frank,

we don't need another show

featuring complicated food

that most of our audience

can't even make.

What we need is this.

Ta-da!

I...

I don't understand.

We're moving QED to primetime

and increasing your budget.

And, of course, your pay.

Now, America loves you,

Taylor Rider.

And what they love just

as much is food that's...

Quick, easy, and delicious.

So what do you say?

I can't believe you said no.

I can't believe no's all I said.

QED is such a gimmick.

But thanks to you, that gimmick

made the network a lot of money.

You can't blame them for

not being ready to let it go.

I know.

You're right.

And I don't want

to seem ungrateful.

It's just time

for me to move on.

- Okay. You ready?

- Yes.

You are going to love it.

- Uh-uh. Wait, wait, wait.

- Okay.

And bon appetit.

Mm.

If I could cook like that,

I would never leave the kitchen.

If I could move past

15-minute tailgate recipes

that aren't even my own,

maybe I could teach you.

Cute.

I understand your frustration,

but you have got to

keep your eye on the prize.

Primetime is a huge opportunity.

- Is it, though?

- Yeah, it is!

Within months,

you'll be a household name

with your own product line,

your own cookbooks.

And once that happens,

the world is your oyster.

I'm talking dollar

dollar bills, baby.

Speaking of dollar dollar bills,

I'm canceling my flights.

I can't go back home.

I need to look for a job.

Absolutely not.

What?

You need to clear your head

before making any more

network decisions.

There are no more network

decisions to be made.

I already said no.

No.

No.

You had a temporary

lapse in judgment

because you're exhausted

from three long,

very successful seasons of QED.

But soon you'll be

calm and relaxed.

And I'll relay to the network

that you're sorry

and you're grateful.

And looking forward

to their official offer.

- But--

- No buts. No buts.

As your agent

and dear friend,

that is our story

and we're sticking to it.

Eat your sandwich.

Yes, ma'am.

I see your face

in my dreams at night, yeah

I hear your voice in my head

I feel your touch

and I don't wanna fight, yeah

I want you downstairs

It's time now that

I make my move, yeah

The only thing that I know

I found out I've got

nothing to lose, no

Without you, I'm alone

I'm coming home

I'm coming home

I'm coming home

H-Hi.

Hi.

What are you doing here?

I'm just making a delivery.

What, what are you doing here?

I finally got some time off,

so I decided to fly home.

Wow. Good for you.

Do you know where my parents

are? I thought they'd be here.

So did I.

I didn't know they were

doing renovations.

Here, I, uh,

got some cinnamon buns.

I thought maybe I'd

give it to Glenn and Patty,

but I'm sure you could

pass 'em along for me.

That's sweet.

So, how's TV chef life

treating you?

Great. Looks like they're gonna

move the show to primetime.

Wow. Pretty soon, all of America

is going to know

the culinary secrets behind

Taylor Rider's famous party dip.

- [chuckles]

- Ha, ha, ha, ha.

Well, I, I better get going.

People to see,

deliveries to make.

Right. Of course.

Good to see you.

You know, we're, uh, throwing

a surprise party for Jordan

tonight at the Fenway.

Right. It's his birthday.

You should come.

What time?

It starts at 6:30.

I might be able to swing that.

He'd really love to see you.

Yeah, I'd love to see him.

Thank you again for the buns.

Oh, yeah. It was no problem.

They were quick and easy, and--

It's good to see you,

Taylor Rider.

You too.

[music]

[music]

Oh.

[laughter]

- Hey, Mom!

- Taylor, oh!

I'm so happy to be home.

It's so good to have you home.

Listen, I tried to call you.

Why weren't you guys

at the restaurant?

Oh, um, well, let's talk

about that later.

Let's go in and see Dad.

Oh, yes.

Oh, I've missed him.

Oh, my gosh.

The place looks so great.

- Is that my Junebug?

- [Taylor] Dad!

Oh, oh, oh.

- What's wrong?

- Nothing. Nothing.

This rascal fell off a ladder

painting the other day.

- Oh, Dad.

- It's nothing. It's nothing.

Nothing to worry about.

Don't concern yourself.

Wait. Painting?

Was that at the restaurant?

Is that what all

the tarps were about?

Oh, you stopped

by the restaurant?

Yeah. I was gonna surprise you.

And then Jacob showed up.

Oh, sh**t.

We forgot to cancel the order.

You were supposed to remind me.

Oh, excuse me.

I've been a little preoccupied.

- Thank you very much.

- Oh, please.

It's only a couple

of bruised ribs.

Which the doctor said was on

the verge of being fractured.

Hence no heavy lifting,

yard work, laundry or dishes.

If you can stand,

you can do dishes.

- Nice try though.

- It was worth a sh*t.

- Busted.

- [laughter]

He might be a little clumsy,

but he is a tough guy.

- I am strong like bull.

- Oh, Dad, the macho man.

My beauty, you are so beautiful.

Get your stuff?

Oh, no, no, Mom.

I got the luggage.

You stay focused on that

prime rib in the oven.

How'd you know?

I could smell the garlic

and rosemary when I walked in.

Oh.

Like father, like daughter.

[grunts] Whew.

- Do we have an aspirin?

- Yeah.

- I'll get you some.

- Thank you.

[Glenn] This is heaven.

I'm really glad

that you're here.

[Taylor] Oh, me too.

So now the work's over,

what's next?

Actually, they're thinking

of picking up QED

for a few more seasons.

I just found out

a couple days ago.

Well, that's wonderful.

Maybe now they'll let you do

some of your own recipes

for once.

- [chuckles]

- [Patty] Stop, Glenn.

Well, outside of work, is there

anything else that's new?

Same old, same old.

You know, the show kept me

pretty busy, so...

So is there a someone special

we should know about?

- Come on now.

- [Patty] What?

Unfortunately, nothing to

report in that department.

Well, that's perfectly

fine, sweetie.

If there's anything I've

learned, you cannot rush love.

Says the guy who proposed

to me on our fourth date

in his own restaurant.

What can I say?

I'm, um...

just a bit of a romantic.

[laughing]

Speaking of the restaurant,

you are short a chef.

And I would like to help.

Well...

That's very nice of you,

but uh,

it's totally unnecessary.

Dad, you're in no condition

to be in the kitchen.

Please. I insist.

Glenn, you should tell her.

Tell me what?

Nothing. Nothing.

- Dad.

- Glenn...

Dad, what's going on?

Well, running a restaurant

is really hard work.

Especially these days. It's--

Yeah, I mean, right.

Honestly, what do we know about,

about serving vegan pumpkin pate

or why people want

deconstructed avocado toast?

I mean, all that is,

is avocado on toast.

You know, how much more

deconstructed can you get,

right? And then, of course,

then there's this activated

- charcoal that--

- Okay, honey.

- I think you've started to go--

- Yeah, I knew--

I just found out a couple

of weeks ago that your mother

is in ketosis, okay? And she

doesn't say very much about it,

but I think it could

turn very serious.

And then I won't know what to do

'cause I'll be by myself.

What's going on?

Glenn, just tell her.

Your mother and I want

to sell the restaurant.

[music]

Mind if I join you?

- Hi.

- Hi.

I just don't understand. How

could you sell the restaurant

like it doesn't mean anything?

Well, I think we both

know better than that.

Well, that's what it feels like.

Trust me, this was not an

easy choice for either of us.

But after Grandma CC

passed away, your dad, his--

His heart just

hasn't been in it.

But everything he

makes is so good.

I know, sweetie. It is good,

but good just doesn't

cut it nowadays.

Well, how am I just now

finding out about this?

You know how your father can be.

He's a very proud man.

Some might call it stubborn.

Yeah.

So are you gonna go

to Jordan's party?

How do you know about that?

We were supposed to cater it.

That's why Jacob

dropped off the order.

It would mean a lot to him.

I don't know.

I'm not really in the mood.

It's your vacation.

Have some fun.

You haven't seen your friends

in a long time.

It would be nice

to see everybody.

Yeah. Go.

You should go.

[music]

Jump in

Don't fight the feelin'

We'll build ourselves a boat

Sail off into the evenin',

go with the flow

We'll get these

hearts a-beatin'

Strike up the band and go

Don't need a rhyme or reason

Just your hand to row

Taylor June Rider.

Is that you?

Jordan! [laughs]

Jordan, happy birthday!

Thank you!

What are you doing here?

Oh, Jacob invited me.

I hope that's okay.

No. I meant what are you

doing in town?

[laughs] I finally

got some time off.

I love it.

Tom, get over here!

Look who it is.

Well, if it isn't our star chef

in the flesh.

Tom Sikimeyer.

Get over here.

[laughing]

- It is so good to see you.

- You too.

- Wait, are you two?

- Yes, we are.

Jordan finally worked up

the nerve to ask me out.

It's about time.

Yeah, don't get him started.

- Hey, we need drinks.

- Yes.

Yes, please.

So how did this happen?

Tom and I connected at a

salsa class a while back.

- And the rest has been history.

- I am so happy for you.

Thank you, but enough about us.

What is it like being famous?

I'm far from famous.

I just cook a little on TV.

Sweetie, here in Dunedin,

if you've been on TV more

- than once, you're famous.

- Fair enough.

I come bearing gifts.

- Oh.

- Oh.

For the birthday boy.

And our hometown hero.

Thank you.

- Hi.

- Hey.

- Cheers.

- Cheers.

- Happy birthday.

- Thank you.

You made it.

I wasn't sure you'd come.

Yeah, I wasn't sure

I was gonna come either.

It's been a long day.

Is everything okay?

I just found out my parents

are selling the restaurant.

Yeah, we're all really sorry

to hear about them closing.

You knew?

I'm pretty sure

everyone in town knows.

Do they?

[Linda] Jacob!

Jacob!

Let's go have a drink!

Yeah, Jacob.

Go have a drink.

It's getting pretty late.

I should probably head home.

Oh, come on, man.

It's my birthday party.

Yeah, don't leave on my account.

Not everything is

about you, Taylor.

Got a lot of deliveries

tomorrow. Gonna be a busy day.

See you guys later.

Happy birthday.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Catch you around.

[music]

So sh*ts?

Sorry about that.

I'll be right back.

[music]

I'll hang out with you.

Thanks.

Jacob.

Jacob!

I don't wanna fight

right now, Taylor.

- You lied to me.

- I never lied.

You knew about my

parents' restaurant

and you didn't say anything.

You should have told me.

It wasn't my place

to say anything.

You have not changed a bit.

Always passing the buck.

Says the girl who left

and never looked back.

You wanted to get away?

Well, you got it.

Do not even go there.

I was away chasing my dreams,

unlike someone else I know

who's perfectly content

just surviving.

Well, that's the pot calling

the kettle black, isn't it?

What is that supposed to mean?

I'll see you around, Taylor.

[music]

There are things

that make a man

Change his mind

Vodka soda, please.

Just like old times, huh?

Hi, Linda.

Sucks Jacob had to leave.

You know, I don't ever remember

him getting that mad at me,

but I guess that's

just the way you two are, huh?

Yeah. It's like we're

two peas in a pod, I guess.

Yeah, if that's what

you want to call it.

So how long are

you in town for?

I'm not sure.

Maybe a week or two.

So you'll be here for the

Food and Wine Cook-Off then?

What's the cook-off?

Oh, it's just a little something

the Food and Wine Festival

started a few years back.

Every decent restaurant

in town participates.

Winner gets crowned Dunedin's

best restaurant of the year.

It's good for bragging rights

and drumming up a hefty amount

of business.

You know what?

I think your daddy competed

the first year running.

He took second place.

- Who took first?

- We did.

And every year after that.

Must not be a lot

of competition then.

Well, you said it,

not me.

It's so good to see you.

Good to see you too.

[music]

I'm just striving

with my old spark

[birds chirping]

[Glenn] I know we talk about

the Seven Wonders of the World.

What about China? Huh?

There's so much to see there.

Look here.

The Great Wall is massive.

Good morning.

- Hi.

- Want some coffee?

Please.

So how was the party?

Oh, the party was interesting.

Linda was there catering.

Sorry.

Is there anything else

I should know about, guys?

Are you getting a divorce?

Am I adopted?

Would you like to tell her

or should I?

Ha, ha.

[laughing]

Look, I know it's a lot to--

a lot to take in.

I understand that maybe we

should have told you about

the restaurant a little sooner.

It's okay.

So when are you selling?

Well, as soon as we

complete the renovations.

Which are gonna

take even longer now,

thanks to wild man over here.

Well, I'd like to help.

Oh. Okay.

Well, we'll take

all the help we can get.

Great.

Let's go grab some breakfast

and get started.

- I am starving.

- [Glenn] Yeah, me, too.

I will catch up

with you two later.

I want to pick up

some paint samples.

- You're not hungry?

- I already ate so--

You did?

Yeah.

Deconstructed avocado toast.

Oh, what a sellout!

Oh!

That's a good one, Mom.

What a marriage.

I am now going

to call the attorney.

It's you and me.

Let's just go, come on.

Dad, here? Really?

What?

It's the best breakfast in town.

Oh, my goodness.

What a treat.

Hi, Kathy!

Taylor, Linda and I have watched

every episode of QED.

You must be a proud daddy.

Oh, the proudest,

but it's good to know

that we finally have a

decent chef in the family.

Bless your heart.

Why don't I get you two a table?

Come on.

Oh, great.

- Oh, I forgot my cell phone.

- I can go get it.

Absolutely not.

I still have two good legs.

Start me off

with a cup of coffee.

Done.

Why don't I make

that two coffees?

Please.

And you know what? I'll let

Linda know you're here.

Great...

- Hi.

- Hi.

I was sitting over there.

I saw you guys come in.

- What are you doing here?

- I eat here all the time.

Of course you do.

- Listen, about last night.

- Yeah, about that.

I-I wanted to apologize.

Look, the past is the past,

and there's no reason that

you and I can't be friends.

- Agreed?

- Agreed.

I said some things

I shouldn't have.

I was upset.

And I took it out on you.

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry, too.

Truce?

Truce.

So uh, when do you head back?

Actually, I decided to stay

for a while.

Help my parents

with the restaurant.

My dad's injury really put

a damper on the renovations.

Oh, well, I'm sure

they appreciate that.

- How can I help?

- You don't have to help.

I know.

But I want to.

You're not the only one

who's gonna be sad about this.

- Jacob.

- Glenn.

- How are you?

- Good. Good to see you.

You, too.

You look great.

What have you been doing?

Oh, uh, Patty's dragging me

to this Pilates class

three times a week.

- Maybe I should get into that.

- No.

By the way, Taylor has asked

if I can come by and help out

at the restaurant, and I would

be more than happy to.

Oh, that's great.

The more the merrier.

Why don't you stay and join us?

You know, I'd love to,

but I actually just ate

and I gotta run.

But, uh, I'll stop by

the restaurant later.

If you need anything,

just let me know.

I will, helper.

- All right. Bye.

- Bye.

Well, that was an

unexpected pleasure.

Yes, it was.

Did you find your phone?

Yeah. It's exactly

where I thought--

Hello, Taylor.

Mr. Rider.

We are so glad to see

you're doing better.

You know, you gave us all

quite a scare.

Well, small town news tends

to be a bit dramatic at times.

Yes, well, that's part

of the charm, I suppose.

By the way, I haven't gotten a

chance to thank you personally

for passing along

the catering business.

My mom and I really do

appreciate it.

Well, I'm really glad

that worked out.

Oh, Jordan was very happy.

By the way, you two must be

excited about the competition.

- What competition?

- Taylor didn't tell you?

You're back in town one day and

already you made the front page.

[laughing]

Anyways, may the best

restaurant win.

[laughing]

[Linda] I'll send over a server

to take your order.

Thank you.

Taylor...

I might have entered us

in the cook-off.

Us? Who is us?

Look, I'm selling the

restaurant.

- I don't have time for this.

- Dad, I can tell you're upset,

but look at the bright side.

What is the bright side?

Jessica says any publicity

is good publicity, right?

Oh, and think about it this way.

Sea Sea Rider's crowned

Food and Wine Festival champion.

Not a bad selling point.

- Sure, but if I'm not--

- If we're gonna go out,

let's go out with a bang.

Plus, I can think of no better

way to spend my down time

than cooking with my dad

like we used to.

[chuckles]

- Did it get me off the hook?

- Yes.

So you are competing?

[Taylor] Yes. Well,

technically, the restaurant is.

But you just said your parents

were selling the restaurant.

Isn't that the whole

reason you're staying?

They are.

And it is.

Is this about the restaurant

or Linda?

Both.

I mean, if I can get my dad

to fall back in love

with cooking

by winning the contest,

then maybe I can

save the restaurant.

[Jessica] And you can shut

this Linda Box girl up

once and for all.

Exactly!

The only thing I haven't

figured out yet is the money.

Can I make a suggestion as

your friend and not your agent?

Of course.

With the salary the

network is offering,

you could cover the cost of

reopening without hesitation.

Is it really that much?

Check your texts.

[music]

You're kidding?

Nope. And I can get you more

if you let me try.

I don't know.

Money isn't everything.

Look, if you don't like

what they come back with,

then nothing changes.

There's no harm in flirting.

Famous last words.

What is this?

Foccacia is not gonna work.

- So where were we?

- Recipes, recipes, recipes.

Yes. Oh, can you hand me

the ones you put over there?

Look who I found

wandering around outside.

He said he's here

looking for work.

I am at your disposal.

Oh.

What is going on in here?

Surprise. We decided to enter

the annual cooking contest.

We did, did we?

Not me, I didn't...

It was a--

Anyway.

Well, I guess it's a good thing

I got Prince Charming here

to pick up the slack.

Well, what are you

guys gonna make?

We are just starting

to figure that out.

- Yeah...

- [Patty] Okay!

- Have fun, kids.

- Thank you, my darling.

- You follow me.

- All right.

I'm gonna go and help her out.

[music]

You know, what we really need

to do is just make something

to get our juices flowing,

you know?

That's a great idea.

Dessert or entree?

I have a sweet tooth, so--

We should do dessert.

Mm-hmm, yeah.

Let's see.

I have just the thing.

- Really?

- Mm-hmm.

So that's Baked Alaskan Flamb?

Not quite yet.

We used to do this all the time

at the restaurant in New York.

- [grunts]

- [laughing] Yeah?

- Now for the fun part.

- Oof!

- You ready?

- Yeah.

- Whoa!

- Whoa!

[laughing]

Oh, I forgot the cinnamon.

It's in the back pantry.

[Taylor] Where in the pantry?

No, forget it. I think

I got some up here.

[Taylor] What?

I've got some up here.

Whoa! Fire!

[Glenn] Jacob!

[music]

It's supposed to be on fire.

Glenn,

I am so sorry.

I guess I have kitchen duty

for the rest of my life.

Probably.

Oh...

What happened?

My fireman training kicked in.

You were a Boy Scout.

The scouts take fire

very seriously.

I gotta clean up

very seriously.

[laughing] Oh, Dad.

Oh, my goodness.

Can I help you make another one?

Oh, no, no.

We're calling it quits.

Plus you, you have a lot of

cleaning up to do.

[Jacob] Yes, I do.

When we're all clean,

do you want to take a walk?

Yeah, that sounds great.

Where are you thinking?

So what's new with you?

Are you happy at the farm?

You know what?

I really am.

You know, there's something

right about waking up

with the sun,

watching everything

grow around me,

staying connected

to the community.

I mean, I know it sounds simple,

but I really enjoy it.

Simple sounds nice.

[chuckles]

What?

Oh, nothing. Just something I

never thought I'd hear you say.

With you, it was always

Paris this and New York that.

Everything was always

so grandiose.

Nothing seemed simple.

Yeah, that sounds like me.

So what's going on

with you and dating?

I heard you and Linda

were a thing.

Well, we could chalk that up to

a temporary lapse in judgment.

[laughs] But she's so charming.

I know, I know.

Yeah, I've had a few girlfriends

here and there.

Nothing that really stuck,

you know?

I don't know. I guess,

just not ready to settle.

Figure the right one

will come along eventually.

[music]

What about you?

You seeing anyone?

No.

I guess you could say

I'm married to my career.

There's the Taylor I know.

I miss this.

Yeah, I remember we used to

come out here for hours on end.

Just two kids dreaming

about the future.

It looks like all your

dreams came true.

Yeah, I don't know about that.

But I thought you said they're

moving your show to primetime.

They are.

I just haven't accepted

their offer to host it yet.

What's stopping you?

All I wanted to do was be

a great chef

and teach people

how to make amazing food.

But on QED, all I do is make

dips and finger foods.

So why don't you change it

and offer the audience

something different?

Believe me, I would love to.

But changing the format

of a successful show

is harder than you think,

even if you are the host.

Well, then maybe it's

just not right for you.

Maybe. Or maybe I'm

just being too picky.

No.

I don't think you're

being picky at all.

[music]

What are you doing?

You're more than

welcome to join.

In my clothes?

I don't have a bathing suit.

What? Are you afraid to get your

little fancy clothes wet?

Come on!

It's gonna feel great!

[music]

[laughing]

[music]

[knock on door]

Come in.

You need anything before

we turn in for the night?

No, I'm good. Thank you.

You know, it was really good

to see you two

cooking together again.

Goodnight, sweetheart.

Night, Mom.

[music]

And done.

We really appreciate you

helping us out like this.

Of course.

You know, I'm a little surprised

you or Glenn didn't ask sooner.

We know how busy you are.

We didn't want to be a bother,

so...

Are you kidding?

You know, when my mom passed,

it was hard on all of us,

- especially my pops.

- Yeah.

But you, Glenn, Grandma CC,

you guys always made it a point

to make me feel like family.

And I will never forget that.

That's because you are.

[Taylor] Lunch is ready.

Finally.

Here we are.

What have we got?

We have a toasted crostini

with chicken liver pat,

arugula, heirloom tomato,

finished with a balsamic glaze.

[Patty] Ooh.

- [Jacob] Hey.

- Enjoy.

Mmm.

Interesting.

But?

I'm just not sure this

is the right dish

for the competition.

So you're a chef now?

No, no, I'm probably wrong.

Completely wrong, probably.

What do you think, Dad?

I kind of agree with Jacob.

Well, sh**t.

Well, what if we go to the farm?

Maybe I'll get an idea.

Well, I'm a little tired,

so why don't you go on ahead

and your mother and I

will lock up?

- I rode with you.

- Well, I can drive you.

You sure?

Yeah, absolutely.

[birds chirping]

[leaves rustling]

[traffic]

Whoa, this place

has really changed.

Everything is organic

or locally sourced.

It's almost impossible to find

vegetables as fresh in the city.

Here, these just went in season.

Try one.

Mmm.

I could use these somehow.

Well, if you want, we can

have some freshly picked

and delivered to you tomorrow,

if you like.

- Yeah, that'll be great.

- [Jacob] Okay.

Hey Jacob.

Hey, Linda.

Taylor.

Hi, Linda.

It's funny seeing

the two of you here.

How's it going?

You know me, just picking out

some fresh produce

before the competition.

Oh, great.

And just so you know,

my dishes may not be quick

or easy,

but they will be delicious.

[chuckles]

Well, I guess we'll have to see.

True.

We'll see you later, Jacob.

Bye.

Do you want a shake?

My treat.

Yes.

- No, that's Bora and Brody.

- [Woman] Here you go.

Two blueberries.

- Thank you.

- Thank you.

Here you go.

Oh, but, sir,

you didn't have to--

That's all right.

Keep the change.

Thanks, Mr. D.

You're welcome.

Sir? Mr. D?

She's a formal girl.

Cheers.

This brings back such memories.

Do you remember

you used to dip your

fried chicken into ice cream?

Would you think I'm weird

if I told you I still do?

- Yeah.

- [laughs]

I get it, though. It's like

French fries and milkshakes.

Sweet and salty.

Yes, that is exactly what

I've always been saying.

I'll give you this one.

All right, well, do you remember

when you used to make

those pickle cheese sandwiches?

Yes, but those were

actually good.

Said nobody ever.

Then why did you have

me keep making them for you?

Well, it was a good excuse

to keep you around.

Look at you being all cute

right now.

What can I say? You, uh...

You have that effect on me.

[music]

We should probably get going.

Yeah, of course.

[music]

Right now, oh, here they come.

Here they come.

Jessica!

Let me take this for you, sweetie.

Oh, thanks, Mom.

- Hi!

- Hello!

What are you doing here?

Well, I mean, all your talk of

food competitions,

I felt like I was missing out.

Really?

- No.

- [Taylor laughs]

Your contract came back

from the network,

and rather than send it to you

and have you sit on it

for who knows how long,

I thought I'd deliver it to you

in person.

Is it really that good?

Yes.

I should, uh, I should be going.

Oh, sorry, Jacob.

This is my agent, Jessica.

Jessica, this is Jacob.

The Jacob?

That's me.

I've heard your name

once or twice.

Good things, I hope.

- Mm-mm.

- Eh...

It's really nice meeting you,

Jessica.

Jacob.

Well, I guess I better

get going then.

- Thanks for the ride.

- [Jacob] Yeah.

And for today.

Yeah, it's no problem.

See you later?

- Yes.

- All right.

Okay.

Bye.

"Thank you for the ride."

Oh, he is cute!

- Do not even start!

- Oh, my God...

"Thank you for today."

[Taylor] Okay.

Can I get you another slice?

No, thank you.

If I eat another bite,

I'll explode.

This family tends to

do that to people.

Seriously? Everything was

absolutely incredible.

Jessica, Taylor told us all

the good news about the show.

It's very exciting.

Right?

I mean, I still

can't believe it myself.

Primetime at 8:00 pm.

Primetime? Honey, you didn't

even mention that!

Nothing is definite

till the contracts are signed.

Oh, shush. Congratulations!

Sweetie, that's amazing!

My daughter on primetime.

Guys...

I think we should throw

one of those watch parties.

Guys...

We're working out

some of the logistics, but--

Guys!

I haven't said yes yet.

[music]

[ducks quacking]

I'm really sorry.

I assumed you told your parents.

- Rookie mistake.

- It's okay.

I just wasn't gonna tell them

until I made up my mind.

Well, have you?

I don't know

what I'm gonna do.

QED was never supposed to be

my entire career.

I want to be taken seriously.

I mean, can't get more serious

than primetime.

The more fans you have,

the more seriously you're taken.

As a personality or a chef?

As an icon.

Plus, they agreed to double

what they were already offering.

- Double?

- Yeah. I really played up

your concerns as being labeled

a one-trick pony.

What about the food?

Still quick, easy and delicious.

[music]

I loved growing up here.

This place definitely

has a charm to it.

I will give you that.

And this is the famous

Sea Sea Riders.

Oh, where a young Taylor

fell in love with cooking.

I can't even count the hours

I spent in that kitchen

watching my dad and grandma

create these amazing dishes.

Taylor!

Ooh, stop, stop, stop.

- Taylor!

- Hi!

- Hey.

- Jordan!

Awwww!

What are you doing here?

Oh, we're just out on the town.

Well, sorry, Jordan, Tom,

this is my agent, Jessica.

- Nice to meet you.

- Nice to meet you.

My friend Jordan

and his boyfriend Tom.

Hi. Nice meeting you.

Valentinos?

- [Jordan] Stavali's.

- Italian?

Dunedin.

He's a local designer.

We went to high school together.

Speaking of Dunedin,

how do you like it so far?

It's starting to grow on me.

How long are you

gonna be in town?

Just for tonight.

Taylor and I have some things we

have to work out for the show.

Well, you know my vote.

Follow your heart.

But sometimes we have to

follow our brain as well.

But remember what Grandma CC

would always say,

"In a battle between

the mind and the heart,

let the heart win."

Mm-hmm, but sometimes

we have to let the brain win

because the heart

isn't always right.

[music]

Well, I'm sure we all have

things to do.

Yes. We're gonna go check out

downtown Dunedin.

Great. Good luck.

- Bye, guys.

- Bye, you guys.

Bye.

- Let's go see the kitchen.

- Let's do that.

So, Jacob,

I can tell he really likes you.

No, that's all in the past.

We're just friends.

Sure, but,

you know I want nothing

but the best for you, right?

Of course.

That being said, the network

wants a decision by tomorrow.

Mind if I sleep on it?

I work for you.

- Night.

- Night.

[crickets chirping]

Hey, Dad.

Oh! Hey, you almost

gave me a heart att*ck.

Sorry.

What are you making?

Well, a little midnight snack.

It's 9:30.

Well, it's a

9:30 midnight snack.

- You want half?

- Sure.

[Glenn] Oooh!

That looks delicious.

It is.

It is one of my best.

- [laughs]

- [Taylor] Ooh!

There we go.

- Aw.

- Here you go, angel.

Thanks, Dad.

[crickets chirping]

You okay?

I just don't know what to do.

I have this amazing offer

staring me in the face.

And for some reason,

it just doesn't feel right.

Well, I'm gonna tell you

something that your grandmother

told me just before

I took over the restaurant.

She said,

"If you're gonna do something,

"you gotta do it

for the right reasons.

"Money comes and goes,

"but your love for food

"is what makes a great chef.

"Without that,

you're in the wrong business."

She said that?

She did.

I miss her all the time.

So do I.

She had this knack of putting

smiles on people's faces

with the food she made.

She loved that restaurant.

And everybody that came in there

and sat down,

they felt it.

[music]

I know you're going to

make the right choice.

Goodnight, my Junebug.

Goodnight, Dad.

[music]

[birds chirping]

- Good morning.

- Good morning.

Oh. How are the scones?

They're delicious.

- Right?

- Yes.

I wanted to talk to you

a minute.

Sure.

So I made my decision.

And?

I decided to do the show.

Really?

You seem surprised.

I felt like you were leaning

in the opposite direction.

Like you said, this is the

opportunity of a lifetime.

I'd be crazy to pass it up.

That sounds like me.

Always selling.

This is what needs to happen.

Your final answer?

Final answer.

Okay. I'll let the network know.

They're gonna want you

to start right away.

Can you buy me a week or so?

Oh yeah. I can manage that.

[Taylor] Thank you.

All right.

I gotta get back to Atlanta.

I have a lot of work to do.

[music]

Quick, easy.

Unoriginal.

- Hey.

- Hey.

Here we go.

Oh, thank you.

Mm.

Where's your pops?

He's at a doctor's appointment.

Okay. Ooh, mind if I try?

Please.

Let's see...

Mmm. Mmm. This is good.

This is basic.

Basically delicious.

Sorry. That was a little corny.

Get it? Cornbread.

None of this is

gonna win the contest.

- Nothing here is original.

- All right.

I think you're putting

way too much stress on yourself.

Maybe that's all I'm good at.

Quick and easy.

Okay.

I think you need

to take a break.

I would love to actually

take a break, but I can't.

- The competition is--

- Tomorrow. I know.

But sitting in here all day

cooking dish after basic dish

isn't gonna do anybody any good.

Ow.

You know what you need?

A little inspiration.

[upbeat music in Spanish]

- What's this?

- Just trust me.

Big Mike,

four barbacoas, please.

All made from scratch.

How'd you find this place?

Well, they get all their produce

from the farm.

And get all their meats

from Alan, all local.

Huh.

Oh, wow.

Oh, that's amazing.

I promise. You haven't had

barbacoa like this.

I'm not saying you should

make this exact thing, but...

Oh, thank you. Wow.

Here, I'll take that.

- Oh, thanks.

- Sit over there.

- Thank you.

- Thanks.

[upbeat music in Spanish]

- That was amazing.

- Right?

This recipe has been in his

family for generations.

I've never had barbacoa

this good.

For what it's worth,

I think maybe one of the reasons

you're having such

a hard time right now

is that what you're making

isn't yours.

And maybe what's missing is

a piece of you.

[music]

You know, we broke up.

I didn't know

what to do with myself.

I was broken hearted.

The only thing I had was work.

So I guess in a way,

I owe part of my career to you.

You're welcome?

I took the job.

- But I thought--

- I couldn't turn down the money.

But you said you weren't happy.

Being happy won't help my

parents reopen the restaurant.

No, I, I guess it won't.

I'm sorry. I just--

I wanted you to know.

Yeah.

You don't have to apologize.

You're putting

your family first.

It's a good thing.

Thank you for understanding.

Yeah, of course.

Come on.

Taylor, I have no doubt that

whatever you make,

it's going to be amazing.

Hopefully, we'll see.

Hey, all else fails, go with

fried chicken and ice cream.

[laughing]

[music]

Jacob, you're a genius.

What did I say?

I think I know what

I'm gonna make.

Better get to it, then.

[music]

So I'll see you tomorrow?

You know it.

[music]

Hey, Patty.

You mind just doing me a favor?

I just need a phone number.

[music]

Why can't we just use the stuff

that's already cut up?

Because we want it to be fresh.

- Why?

- Because the food we make

is only as good as the

ingredients we use to make it.

Here. What's it taste like?

Parsley.

Well, duh.

We know it's parsley, silly.

What's it taste like?

Describe it.

- Pepper.

- Good. What else?

- Dirt.

- Right.

But when something tastes

like dirt, we call it earthy.

[Young Taylor] Why?

[CC] I don't know.

Sounds better. [laughs]

[music]

Young beauty.

Is everything okay?

I saw Jacob's car pulling away.

Yeah, he just came to drop off

some blueberries.

How'd the appointment go?

Eh, it went well, I mean,

you know, the doctor says I'm,

I'm healing nicely.

- Well, that's good news.

- Yeah.

So you up for some cooking?

Oh, ma'am, I thought

you'd never ask me.

[laughs]

[music]

Like the old days, huh?

I know, right?

Creator of the classic

chicken dipped in ice cream,

and it's on every menu

of every restaurant.

Oh, come on.

Wouldn't that be amazing?

Like a hamburger.

[Taylor] I got the lemons.

[Glenn]

All right. Hold on, okay.

[music]

- Yeah. Maybe fold it.

- Here.

It's the way that you do

the everything you do

It's the way that you play

You make up all the rules

Breaking every heart

just like you knew you would

But you make it feel so

good

[music]

You know what you got

and know how to use it

All eyes watch you

walking into the room

Yeah, it's so good

It's so bright

It's been every time

You're the one with the

little sweet perfume

Driving us crazy

Oh, perfect.

Let's plate it.

Let's do it.

Everyone knows by now

It's the way that you do

the everything you do

It's the way that you play

You make up all the rules

[Taylor] The judges are

going to love this.

Breaking every heart

just like you knew you would

Linda Box, eat your heart out.

[laughs]

So you're telling me that

Jacob talking about dipping his

fried chicken into the ice cream

is how you came up

with all of this?

Yes, some pretty unexpected

ingredients, huh?

Sure is.

Yeah, well, I'm just excited

about the desserts.

You're always excited

about the desserts.

Yeah, well, as long as it's not

baked Alaskan flamb.

I almost d*ed that day.

[music]

Hope they don't mind a

little unfinished painting.

Well, they're not here

to judge us on that.

They're here for the food.

How's our chef?

Oh, I'm a little nervous,

but I'll um, I'll manage.

Not you, silly.

They're ready for dessert.

- Ooh.

- Right, okay.

Okay. There ya go.

Do you know who's here?

No, who?

Chef Coe.

The one who b*at Bobby Flay?

- Mm-hmm.

- Corner!

Oh, thanks, Mom.

Okay.

- Let's go.

- Chef Coe.

[music]

We have a vanilla and blueberry

ice cream-filled donut sandwich

with blueberry marble glaze.

Enjoy.

[music]

The bacon is a nice touch.

Thank you, Chef Coe.

We ready?

- I think so.

- Okay.

Best of luck.

Thank you.

Thank you.

[door shuts]

[Taylor] Oh!

Oh, boy.

It's out of our hands now.

But, honey,

we are so proud of you.

Oh, it was a team effort.

Let's clean up

and enjoy the festival.

Yes, I will get the plates.

Yeah, the last plate there,

he didn't eat very much.

Can I have that last one?

I have a whole one

for you in the back.

Oh, you're my idol.

- We'll be in the kitchen.

- Aw, thank you.

Talk on the street is

Sea Sea Riders

kicked some booty!

What are you doing here?

You think that I would

let my best friend

make it through an entire

cooking competition

without showing a little love?

How'd it go?

Good, I think.

You think?

Girl, I know your food.

If those judges weren't blown

away by whatever it is you made,

they probably shouldn't

be judges.

You're ridiculous.

How did it go with the network?

Let's talk about that later.

Let me help you with these.

Thank you.

So where's Jacob?

Oh, well, he said he had

some things to take care of

at the farm.

Why?

- Just wondering.

- Oh.

So back here,

have you seen the...

I can't remember.

[seagulls squawking]

[indistinct chatter]

No, it's fine.

I mean, no, Jessica, I am still

not used to golf carts

all these years later.

You think I would--

I love them.

They keep getting

more and more fancy.

I mean, look at this.

Guys, you need this golf cart.

[Jessica]

They do this every year?

[Taylor] Yeah,

it's grown so much.

I still can't believe we pulled

everything together in time.

I've never had a doubt

in my mind.

Same.

If anyone can pull off a food

competition, it's this girl.

That's how the network

found her after all.

Speaking of the network,

before we go in,

there's something I want to

talk to you guys about.

What is it, sweetie?

I've decided to take the show.

QED?

Mm-hmm, and with the

money I'll be making,

I want to help the restaurant

get back on its feet

and open its doors.

- Junebug--

- Guys, listen. Hear me out.

I think with a little TLC and

a few small tweaks to the menu,

I think the restaurant

could thrive again.

It's sweet of you, but money

really isn't the problem.

What do you mean?

After 35 years, your father

and I are ready to retire.

Maybe travel the world a little.

I was hoping that cooking

together in the competition

might change your minds.

Sweetie, I never had

so much fun in the kitchen

since the days

of Grandma CC.

I mean, you reminded me

of all the reasons why I,

why I fell in love with cooking.

But we too have to move on.

Just because we're starting

a new chapter in our lives

doesn't mean the restaurant

needs to leave the family.

Are you offering me

the restaurant?

If you want it.

I don't have the money to

reopen the restaurant on my own.

Maybe I can help you with that.

Jess, you're my best friend.

I can't accept a loan from you.

Oh, no, no,

it wouldn't be a loan.

It would be a capital

contribution as part owner,

if you're open to it.

You mean like partners?

Your talents are limitless.

With the right team behind you,

I mean, there may even

be a few stars in your future,

- if you know what I mean.

- [laughs]

What about the show?

Yeah, I, I didn't

send the contract in.

What?

I-I-- Something just felt off,

so I decided I would

sit on it for a couple of days.

And then I got the call

from Jacob and...

here we are.

Jacob called you?

[bell ringing]

They're about ready to announce

the winners of the competition.

Come on, let's go.

Hello, Dunedin!

[crowd cheers]

Welcome one and all!

We now move to the grand finale

and the final event of the

Food and Wine Festival,

where the winner will be crowned

Dunedin's Best Restaurant

of the Year.

[crowd cheering]

And awarded the Golden Spatula

for culinary excellence.

Now I need to know

who's ready to find out who won.

[crowd cheering]

I have to admit, I have to admit

the competition was fierce

this year, ladies and gentlemen.

And some very difficult

decisions had to be made.

But the results are in,

and I hold in my hand

the three finalists.

And in third place,

with their barbecue entree

and apple pie dessert,

we have Papi O'Brien's!

[crowd cheering]

And now the moment

we have all been waiting for.

Between the Wild Irish Cafe

and Sea Sea Riders.

[crowd cheering]

The winner of this year's Food

and Wine Festival Cook-Off is...

Sea Sea Riders

with their blueberry

chicken and waffle entree

and ice cream-stuffed

blueberry donut dessert!

In tradition, will the owner

of Sea Sea Riders

come on up on stage?

It's yours if you want it.

You deserve it. Get up there.

[music]

And to present the award

to our winner this year,

Jacob Dylan,

owner of Harbor Farms.

Oh yeah.

Thank you.

Good food and good traditions

have been the bedrock of Dunedin

long since before I was born.

That's what this represents.

On behalf of Harbor Farms

and the great town of Dunedin,

it is my pleasure to give this

Golden Spatula Award

to Sea Sea Riders.

[crowd cheering]

Sea Sea!

Oh, thank you. You know,

I spent my entire childhood

wondering what life would be

like outside small town Dunedin.

I have lived in big cities,

worked at fancy restaurants,

but none of it's made me

as happy as this past week,

creating new dishes,

connecting with old friends,

and spending time with my

amazing mom and dad,

Patty and Glenn Rider.

Thank you for reminding me

what really matters.

This one's for you guys.

Thank you, everyone.

[crowd cheering]

[music]

[waves lapping]

[Jacob]

Thought I'd find you here.

Mind if I join?

Of course.

Are you really

taking over the restaurant?

I am.

What made you change your mind

about the show?

Well, when my parents offered me

the restaurant,

I just followed my heart.

You know what Grandma CC would

say if she were here right now?

- Grandma CC always knows best.

- Grandma CC always knows best.

You know, it's a good thing

Jessica didn't

turn in those contracts.

Bold move, sir.

Hey, the contract idea

was all Jessica.

I just called for

some friendly advice.

This restaurant's gonna take

a lot of work.

And since when have you

ever been afraid of hard work?

Hey, why didn't you tell me

about the farm?

I don't know, I just figured

you had so many

assumptions about me,

I'd just let you run with them.

I did have a lot of

assumptions about you.

I'm sorry.

It's okay,

I forgive you this time.

I am so glad

that you're staying.

I am too.

I'm crazy about you,

Jacob Dylan.

And I am so crazy

about you, too.

[music]

- Okay, here we are.

- Okay.

We have two featured items

for our soft opening.

Pan-seared grouper

and fire-roasted pork.

Everything else you see

on those plates

is from this handsome guy's

farm.

- Wow. Crazy.

- Okay.

- Dig in.

- This is amazing.

Oh, you're gonna love this.

I cannot make their faces...

I'm no food critic,

but this is da b*mb.

Please never use

that phrase again.

But I do agree.

- You like it?

- Yeah.

It is great.

It does.

It looks fantastic, babe.

Aw.

I want to thank you so much

for your support--

That's what I'm saying,

Mr. Thompson.

You kn--

hold on a second.

Smile.

No, I'm sorry.

I was sending you a pic.

Yeah--No, where were we?

Right, that's fine, as long as

the contracts arrive this week.

Payment up front.

Perfect.

Yes. All right.

I'll talk to you soon. Bye.

Ma | am the deed is done.

Two episodes a week

sh*t right here.

[cheering]

[applause]

This show is going to be a hit.

And at the center of it all

will be the two of you.

I'm so proud of you, babe.

Now, that's my kind of show.

[music]

Settin' off alarms

after midnight

Skinny dip in

someone else's pool

Pretend that we're

livin' the good life

We got no chill,

don't play it cool

Blue and red lights

Drivin' up the hillside

Sitting on dynamite

Yeah, we gotta hold tight

So high,

up there like a satellite

Think I'm losin' my mind

It's got to be you

And all of the madness and

the mess you put me through

Ah-ah

Ah-ah

Ah-ah

I just can't refuse

All of the chaos

and the trouble we're into

Ah-ah

Ah-ah

Ah-ah

Hell of a crazy state I'm in

At least I know

it's happenin'

Of one thing that I'm sure

I'm lovesick

And you're the cure

It's got to be you

And all of the madness and

the mess you put me through

Ah-ah

Ah-ah

Ah-ah

I just can't refuse

All of the chaos

and the trouble we're into

Ah-ah

Ah-ah

Ah-ah

Your the cure
