Bob Dog: Yodel Birds! Yeah!

I just can't wait to see the Yodel Birds.

No, seriously, I cannot wait!

I actually need some help with the waiting, guys! Please?!

Duck Duck: Well, I got an idea. Bob dog: What?

- Let's sing our Yodel Bird cheer to help us wait, huh?

- Ooh! That could work!

- A , a , a ...

All: (Chanting) Have you seen 'em?

Have you heard?

The beautiful voice of the Yodel Bird!

All: (Yodeling)

- (Gasps) Shh, shh! Listen. - What?

Voice: Yodel-lay-hee-hoo! - (Gasps)

Is that a Yodel Bird coming this way?!

Voice: ♪ Yodel-lay-hee, yodel-lay-hee, yodel-lay-! ♪

- Agh! - Oh, sorry, Donkey!

I heard the yodels. Did I miss the birdies?

- (Giggles) No, no, Panda, that was just us.

We're still awaiting their arrival.

- Oh phew! I was worried they'd flown by.

- Nope, their journey from the sea

all the way to Mount Really High Up takes time.

- Yeah, and every year they fly right past us!

We're such lucky duckies!

- (Sigh) I remember last year like it was yesterday.

- Yup! Me too.

The Yodel Birds arrived from over yonder.

- Mm-hmm. Just before sunset!

- Yup, and they sounded...

they sounded...

you know, come to think of it,

I don't remember hearing their yodels last year.

- You know what?

I don't think I remember hearing their yodels

the year before that.

- Well, truth be told,

if I'm being honest with myself,

I've never actually heard them yodel in person.

- Me neither.

I've just heard them yodel on their albums,

but never when they fly over.

- Yeah! I wonder why they never yodel here?

Duck Duck: Great question.

Let's go to the source.

So, my official Yodel Bird handbook says,

"that after a long trip,

Yodel Birds get too tired to yodel."

All: Too tired to yodel?!

- I feel so sad for my favorite little birdies!

- Yeah, me too, Panda.

- Well, we gotta help the Yodel Birds get some rest here,

so they're not tired when they fly over.

- Yeah, and then that way maybe

we can actually hear them sing!

- You know, after a morning of playing non-stop, like so,

(Panting excitedly)

I always take a nap, like so...

(Snores and abruptly wakes up)

And afterwards, I feel refreshed!

Like so!

- Whoa! That is very wise, Bob Dog.

- Bob Dog, that's it!

Let's make a rest stop for the birds!

A place they can let their little wings down

and put their little feet up during such a long trip.

Duck Duck: Say, Donkey? - Hmm?

- Would you happen to be talking about

a Yodel Bird rest nest?!

- A Yodel Bird rest nest? - Mm-hmm.

Yeah, it's a nest that all the Yodel Birds

know they can rest in!

- Yes, that is exactly what I'm talking about!

We gotta build this! Now! Hee-haw!

- What the--Whoa, whoa, whoa! First, we need a plan.

- A plan it is!

- Okay, so... let's split up the work

so we can build this nest fast, 'kay-'kay?

Panda: Duck Duck and I can make the nest for the top.

Duck Duck: And Bob Dog and Donkey can make the tower.

Sound good?

- Hee-hawesome idea, Duck Duck!

I bet Harriet has some stuff we can use for the tower part.

Come on, Bob Dog! - Bow-wow!

- See you soon! Okay, so, for this nest,

looks like we're gonna need some sticks

and leaves and string.

Hey! We can get those right near my pond! Alright!

- And when we build the rest nest,

and the Yodel Birds rest,

the Yodel Birds will yodel again!

(Giggles) This is so exciting!

(Giggling excitedly) Yodel-lay-hee-hoo!

Duck Duck: 'Kay-'Kay. So all the stuff we need for the nest

is separated into little piles here,

so we can find the things we need more easily.

- Okay! Let's build! - Yeah!

♪ I like to take my time, ya know, ♪

♪ I mean that when I want to do a thing, ya know, ♪

♪ I like to take my time

♪ And do it right

- ♪ I mean...

♪ I might just make mistakes

♪ If I should have to hurry up ♪

♪ And so...

- Let's build a tower, Bob Dog. We got no time to lose!

- Yeah, okay! - I'm just gonna--

- Oh, this green one's nice. Let's put it ov--

- Oh! Excuse me. I'll go over this way.

- That's a nice spot. - Hoist this...

- Ooh! That's a lovely spot over there.

- This is wonderful. Just put it anywhere.

It doesn't matter. - Oh, that's nice down there.

Panda: ♪ I like to take my time ♪

- Sure are! Duck Duck: We'll put that...

- But Duck Duck and Panda aren't.

I'm worried they're working too slowly.

- Yeah, slow is a no go! Okay, let's see...

- Hey! Hey! I think we need to pick up the pace, pals!

The Yodel Birds are coming soon.

- (Calmly) Oh, well you see... you see, Donkey,

when I hurry up, I tend to make mistakes,

and I want to make sure we do this just right,

so I'm a-going slow going.

- That's right!

- Okay, but our tower's almost done!

Oh! - What?!

- Uh... I mean, our tower's almost not done.

- (Sighs) - We gotta start over.

- No worries, Bob Dog.

(Grunts)

We can do this.

- Agreed, Donkey. We just gotta work faster!

Ungh! Let's see here. (Grunting)

- (Sigh of relief) - Mm-hmm.

Clyde: Hey, Donkey! Hey, Bob!

- Oh, hey, Clyde the Cloud! Any sign of those Yodel Birds?

- Yup, looks like they're getting a little closer!

Bob Dog: Which means we gotta work faster!

- We gotta finish this nest for the Yodel Birds.

- Yeah, and then we can finally hear them yodel!

The tower is looking pretty good!

- Sure is! Hey, let's go check on that nest.

- Yeah!

- (Excited panting)

- Hey, uh, can you all work a little faster please?

I'm worried that your nest won't be ready.

- Yeah, you need to hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry!

We're practically done with the tower.

(Blocks tumble, everyone gasps)

I mean, we're practically not done with the tower.

- Here we go again, Bob Dog!

- Come on! Hurry, hurry, hurry, hurry!

- So, as I was saying... - Hmm.

Both: (Grunting)

- Bow-wow, this is looking great!

- C'mon, if we don't finish fast,

we'll never hear the Yodel Birds sing!

(Effort grunt)

♪♪♪

- Hee-haw! Their nest is finished

and looks great! - Aww, thanks!

- Thank you! - Yeah, it does.

- Yeah, and it's a good thing because our tower

is finished too!

(Blocks tumble) (All gasp)

Uh, I mean our tower is not finished too.

- (Frustrated) Agghhh! We gotta start again, again?

- Yeah, and you know what, this time let's go even faster!

Okay, let's see. Uh, maybe we can put the uh...

- (Gasps) Hey, Bob Dog! - Hmm?

- Bob dog, since Duck Duck and Panda are done,

maybe they can help us. - (Gasps) Good idea!

(Panting)

Our tower keeps falling down! It's such a bummer!

- Please help us!

- Certainly. Be happy to. - Uh, what's your secret?

And tell us fast before the Yodel Birds get here!

- Oh, well, see maybe going fast

was your problem to begin with. - Mm-hmm.

- See, we took our sweet-sweet time

to make sure we got this just right.

- That's right! - So, slow is the way to go?

- I thought slow was a no go?

- No. When you go slow,

you can see things that you wouldn't

if you go fast. - Yup-yup!

- Oh, well, let's try it again, Donkey.

- And this time we go...

Both: ...slow.

- (Chuckles)

- Yeah, they got this. - Yeah!

- Boy, look at this craftsmanship.

- Look, Bob! We were going so fast we didn't realize...

the big blocks go on the bottom.

The medium blocks go in the middle.

- And the small blocks go on top!

Both: Big blocks on the bottom.

Bob Dog: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.

Both: Medium blocks in the middle.

- Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. - Uh-huh.

Both: And small blocks on top.

Bob Dog: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

All: Wow! Look at that! We did it!

- That is a thing of beauty right there!

- You know, slow is the way to go!

- This rest nest is hee-hawesome!

- Mm-hmm! - You can say that again!

Clyde: The Yodel Birds are here! Look!

Carol: (Out of breath) Oh, gee, is that a rest nest, Mike?

Mike: It sure is, Carol!

Yodel Bird : A rest nest! Let's go rest!

Mike: Well, yeah.

(Breathing hard, exhausted sighs)

- Hey! This is comfy! - And cozy!

All: Ooooh! Wow!

Duck Duck: I do not believe this!

The Yodel Birds are taking a rest on our nest!

- Yeah, the rest nest worked! Bow-wow!

Donkey: I'm so proud of us!

We took our time, went slow

and figured out our mistakes. - Yeah!

(Gasps) They're asleep!

Ooh! (Whispers) I mean, they're asleep.

Yodel Birds: (Waking up groans, yawning)

(Harmonizing) ♪ Yodel-odel-lay-hee-hoo!

- (Gasps) And now they're yodeling!

- They're actually yodeling!

Right. Here! Ooh!

- (Sobbing happily) It's just so beautiful.

- Sure is.

Bird : ♪ Do you want to learn how to yodel? ♪

♪ Want to yodel all day long?

Carol: ♪ Well, we got a yodeling secret, ♪

♪ It's right here in our yodeling song ♪

Mike: ♪ It'll teach you all how to yodel alone ♪

♪ And how to yodel with your folks ♪

All: ♪ If you want yodel-aye, And you wanna yodel-loo ♪

♪ Then yodel out this knock knock joke ♪

♪ Knock knock! (Knocking)

All: ♪ Who's there?

Yodel Birds: ♪ A little old lady! ♪

All: ♪ A little old lady who?

Yodel Birds: ♪ A little old lady, old lady, ♪

- ♪ So hot today ice cream just melts ♪

- ♪ You can fry an egg right on the street ♪

- ♪ And it's way too hot to get a chillin' b*at ♪

(The bongo skin boings)

All: ♪ A lot of hot is what we got ♪

♪ It's hot... hot... hot...

- ♪ It's so hot my feathers are starting to droop ♪

- ♪ It's so hot I feel like matzo ball soup ♪

- ♪ It's too doggone hot to play with a ball ♪

- ♪ It's too too hot to do anything at all! ♪

All: ♪ A lot of hot is what we got ♪

♪ It's hot... hot... hot...

(Everyone sighs)

- Whew! It's hot! Oh boy! - Whoa.

Duck Duck: Hey there, Donkey,

I see you're all uncertain about how to cool everybody off

and I'd love to help you out

'cause you know they say I'm one cool duckie, so...

- (Giggles) Yeah, you are one cool duckie, Duck Duck!

- Aww, thanks!

- And I'm thinking we need something... cold.

- Yup-yup.

And oh, something refreshing.

Both: (Gasp) A lemonade stand!

- Yup-yup! We can cool off the whole town

with some fresh-squeezed...

- Thirst-quenching... - ice-cold...

Both: Lemonade!

- Did you say you had fresh-squeezed...

- Thirst-quenching... - ice-cold...

Both: Lemonade?!

- We did say that, and we will have it...

Both: Hooray! Woo-hoo!

- But we have a lot to do!

Yup-yup, we need a plan!

- Ooh! - Come on.

- Whew-ee!

Boy, I need some lemonade. Oh...

(Scribbling sounds) - Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.

- Yeah... - Is the lemonade ready yet?

- Not yet, Bob Dog. - Gotcha. How about now?

- Still not ready. - Now?

- Nope. - Okay, how 'bout now?

- Okay, how about we call you when it's ready?

Shouldn't be much longer. - Gotcha!

Hey everyone, the lemonade will be ready soon!

Everyone: Hooray!

- Okay, Duck Duck, the day's getting hotter.

Let's get this lemonade stand up and running.

- 'Kay-'Kay. But see, first, we gotta finish this plan

to help us remember all the things we're gonna need

to make our lemonade stand.

- Can't we just start gathering all the things?

- Ohhh... nope-nope.

See, this plan is gonna help us think of everything

we need to do, step by step.

And if we follow this plan, we should be done in no time!

- A plan it is!

- 'Kay-'kay. So make lemonade stand.

Make lemonade sign.

Get lemonade cups...

Stanley: Stanley hot update!

I now feel as hot as the desert.

- Hmm. Noted.

- Duck Duck, I don't think we have time for a plan.

We gotta start making lemonade now!

- Well, yup-yup, I know this, but we still need the plan.

Okay, see, okay, uh...

Get a lemon for the lemonade. - Oh, okay, okay. How about...

how about, Duck Duck, you stick to your plan

for the stand, and the sign, and the cups,

and I'll make the lemonade. Speed things up a bit.

- Oh. 'Kay-'Kay.

Well, let me make you a quick copy of plan

for how to make the lemonade. - Ohhhh 'kay.

Duck Duck, don't worry.

I got this lemonade thing!

Duck Duck: Okay. Thanks, Donkey!

- Okay, so you can't make lemonade without lemons.

Mm... Ooh!

(Donkey grunts as lemon slides) Now this is what I call...

a lemon!

- Okay, so we got the lemonade stand.

Whoa! That is uh...

That is one huge lemon there, uh, Donkey.

- (Giggles) Yup! Sure is a beauty, huh?

- Well, yeah, it is, it is very nice, Donkey,

but you see my plans - let me get my plan.

See, my plan just calls for one regular-sized lemon.

We really do not need one that big.

- But we do want to make a lot of lemonade,

so I got the biggest lemon I could find.

- Arrrre you sure you can make the lemonade, Donkey?

'Cause I have a plan for how to make the lemonade--

- Duck Duck... Duck Duck... Duck Duck...

Of course, I can do this.

And no need for a plan when I have it all right here.

- Ohhh 'kay-'kay. - Mm-hmm.

- You do it the Donkey way,

and I'll just go back to my little ol' plan here.

Oh! I gotta make the sign, and I gotta get the cups.

- Hmm. Now what else do I need to make lemonade?

Oh, I'll just get everything I can think of.

(Humming)

(Items squeak and clink as cart rattles)

That oughta do it!

- Hey, look, Donkey! Check this out!

- Ooh! I am loving that sign, Duck Duck!

- Uh, thank you very much, Donkey,

but where is the lemonade?

And what's all this random stuff for?

- The lemonade! I'm just about to make it.

I want to make sure I have everything I might need.

- Okay, but see-see, my lemonade plan right here

doesn't call for any of this other stuff, Donkey.

See, I thought we could do it

with just one regular size lemon,

then cut it in half. - Duck Duck!

- What-what? - I got this!

- But-- - Pretty soon, the whole town

will be cooling off with our ice-cold lemonade!

- But-- - You'll see!

- Mm...'kay-'kay. Oh, I gotta get the cups.

- Now, I just gotta make that lemonade.

Hmm...

Now how exactly do you make lemonade

from a lemon this big?

Probably could've used a plan for this, but--

Oh! I know! I'll just squeeze the juice out of the lemon!

(Squeezing grunt)

(Squeezing grunt)

(Banging) Come on...

(Deep inhale, blows out breath) Ungh!

(Groans, thumps on ground)

(Boinging)

Come on, juice, I know you're in there!

Whoa! Whoa! Whoa, whoa, whoa!

Ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh, ahh!

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Whoa!

- 'Kay, so I got the cups here. (Shocked gasp) Donkey!

(Panicked shout) Whoa-oa-oa-ao!

- Wow-ow-ow-ow-owwww ahhhh!

(Loud crash) Wahhhhhhhhhhh!

Ungh! (Sighs with relief)

It's okay, Donkey.

You can still make lemonade.

- Donkey, what did you do?!

- Oh! Ha-ha! Hey, you know that big lemon?

- Yes. - As it turns out,

it was too big. - No kidding.

- We're back. - And super-hot.

- Yeah, and ready... Both: For lemonade!

- Donkey! Why didn't you listen to me and the plan?

Now we have no lemonade and no lemonade stand,

but lots of hot friends! Mm!

Bahhh! - Oh no! Duck Duck?!

Hey, Duck Duck!

- What happened to Duck Duck, Donkey?

- I'm not sure.

Hey!

(Reading) "Lemonade plan -

one lemon, cut in half.

Squeeze into pitcher.

Add water.

A little sugar.

Ice cubes.

Pour into cups."

- Now, that sounds like a delicious plan

for lemonade, Donkey.

- Bow-wow, it sure does.

- Lemon... Cut into halves.

Oh, she really thought through a great lemonade plan.

I think I know why Duck Duck might be upset.

- Why's that? - If I had followed her plan,

we'd all be enjoying some ice-cold lemonade now.

- Yeah, we sure would.

- I know! I know, but I didn't listen to her.

I didn't mean to make her upset.

I gotta go find Duck Duck.

- Good luck, Donkey!

- Duck Duck?!

Duck Duck?!

- (Grumbles) - Duck Duck?

- What what? - Oh, Duck Duck, I'm...

I'm so sorry for not listening.

- Really? - Yeah.

Yeah, I should have used your plan.

Plans can really help you know what to do.

- Well, that's okay, Donkey.

- No, it's not.

I'm sure you were probably frustrated and upset

and maybe a little angry at me.

- Well, yeah,

I did actually feel all those things, Donkey,

but I accept your apology now.

- You do? - Yeah!

- Phew!

Stanley: Stanley hot update!

I am now so hot I feel like the sun!

Thank you. - Mm.

(Receding footsteps crunch)

(Birds chirp)

- Well, it still is hot out here.

- Yeah, and we still have a lotta hot friends

who need cooling down. - Mm-hmm.

- Lemonade stand? Both: Lemonade stand!

- And we have a plan!

- We certainly do! - (Laughs)

(Stand rumbles into place)

- Yeah! - Uh-huh.

- Mm-hmm.

Yeah, so that's the plan. - Yeah.

- Mm-hmm. - Mm-hmm.

(Water pours)

(Lemon halves plop and splash)

(Sugar whooshes, ice cubes splash)

(Wooden spoon clinks against pitcher)

- Ready? - Ready!

- Who wants some fresh-squeezed...

- Thirst-quenching... - ice-cold...

Both: Lemonade!

- Did you say you have fresh-squeezed...

- Thirst-quenching... - ice-cold...

Bob Dog and Panda: Lemonade?!

Both: We sure do!

Bob Dog and Panda: Yippeeeee! (Panting)

- Yup. Yippee! - Mm-hmm!

Clyde: (Sips loudly, refreshed exhale)

- (Sipping)

(Licking and tasting)

Mmm! So good! Mmm.

- (Slurping loudly)

(Refreshed exhale)

- (Slurping loudly)

(Refreshed exhale) Mmm!

(Playing bongos)

(Slurps) - Moo, that's cool!

(Continues playing bongos)

- Hey, Someplace Else, how are ya feeling now?!

Everyone: Cool!

- Alright! - Aw! Yeah!

That's what we want to hear!

Stanley: Stanley hot update.

For I am not hot.

I am as cool as an ice cream sundae

with a cheery on top.

- (Gasps) The plan worked. We did it, Duck Duck!

- We sure did, Donkey! - Oh, and Duck Duck?

- Yeah? - You are one cooool duckie!

- (Giggles) Aww... Thank you, Donkey.
