- I'm angelina ballerina,

And today could be the most creative day ever

At camembert academy.

- And so, students,

We're calling this friday our very first ever

"Make it all up day."

- "Make it all up day"?

- You're all going to create

An original project of your very own

And present it to the class.

- Can it be a poem?

- Or a musical composition?

- Or a song?

- I could choreograph a dance no one has ever seen before.

It could start with a demi plie

Followed by an arabesque.

Then I'll go into a pas de chat,

And I can add a grande jete.

And finally, pirouette.

- Brava, angelina.

A wonderful start for "make it all up day."

- [Giggles]

- Now, angelina,

Do you think you can do exactly what you did before

One more time?

- Um...

I think so.

Let's see.

I started with a, um, grande jete.

- No, no, angelina.

I think you started with an arabesque.

- Wasn't it a pirouette?

- Uh, I think it was a demi plie.

- It was a rond de jambe.

- I saw an eleve.

- Didn't you do a developpe?

- It was faster.

- You went higher.

- Oh-oh.

Oh-o-o-oh!

Oh-o-o-oh-oh!

Oh!

[Both giggle]

Wow!

That was the most mixed-up dance ever!

- Class, angelina's dance just now was improvised.

- Oh, that means I made it all up

As I went along, right?

- Right.

And improvising is a fun and very creative thing to do.

But improvising is just step one of your project.

- Just step one?

- I want you all to improvise something new.

Then memorize it,

And record it in some way.

- You mean write it down?

- Yes, a.z.

That way, others can follow and enjoy

Your wonderful dance moves or your songs

Or your poems.

[Bell ringing]

- This is fun!

- I can't wait to make up a song!

- I want to write a poem!

- My project is going to be a poem about...

Cheese.

Oh, cheese, sweet cheese.

How I love cheese.

[Sniffs]

Yellow cheese, white cheese,

And swiss cheese-- all, please.

But roquefort just gives me the world's biggest sneeze.

[Sneezes]

- Thanks, gracie.

What's your project going to be?

- Yes, tell us, gracie.

You always have the most creative ideas.

- Well, I don't have a poem or a song

Or a dance or a coconut.

But I am certain I will think of something.

[Bell ringing]

- We can't wait to see what you come up with, gracie.

- [Sighs]

Everyone is coming up with such wonderful creations,

Yet I cannot seem to think of a single thing.

Oh, what shall I do?

- I just love practicing my new dance.

- [Laughs]

Not so fast, angelina,

Or I won't be able to write down all your creative moves.

- Thanks for helping me, gracie.

- [Gasps]

Now, can I see how your "make it all up day" project

Is coming?

- Uh...

- Gracie, there's nothing in your notebook.

- That's because, well...

I am still improvising something wonderful...

In my mind, angelina.

- Is it a song or a poem or maybe a dance like mine?

- Uh, yes.

- Well, which?

- Angelina.

[Giggles]

- What's so funny, polly?

- [Laughs]

Wait till you see what daddy's doing.

- Red and green and blue

And green and blue and red

And blue and red...

[Laughter]

And blue and green and cha-cha-cha.

- Dad, what is all this?

- It's a new product we're going to sell

At my music store, angelina.

With maestro mouseling's dancing paws,

Anyone can learn to do any dance.

You just follow the pattern and step on the colors--

And red and blue and green--

And you'll be dancing the tango,

Cha-cha, waltz, or swan lake in no time flat.

- And if you can't dance,

You can have fun collecting all the colored paws.

And red and green and blue.

And red and blue and green.

[Laughter]

- Hmm.

This gives me a brilliant idea.

Mr. Mouseling,

Could I borrow maestro mouseling's dancing paws?

- I don't see why not, gracie.

- Uh-huh.

Oh, ha.

Oh!

Voila!

I can do a perfect mambo!

[Bell ringing] oh.

But now I'm late for "make it all up day."

Oh, and I haven't created a dance of my own...

Unless...

No one will know I didn't make up the mambo

All by myself.

[Rhythmic wooden spoon music]

- Way to go, marco!

- That sounds great!

- Excellent!

- Here are the instructions for my coco-nutty drum solo.

- Excellent job, marco.

Let's see.

Gracie, you're up next.

- My "make it all up day" project

Will include musical paws.

- What are those?

- Look at all the cool colors!

- [Gasps] uh-oh.

The instructions are missing.

- Is everything all right, gracie?

- Uh, I don't have the correct order for my dance.

Together: huh?

- Gracie, what's the matter?

- I couldn't think of a project, so I decided

To do maestro mouseling's magical mambo.

- But, gracie, that's cheating.

You didn't make up that dance yourself.

- I know.

It was wrong.

And I'm really sorry.

Oh, but now I have no idea what the right steps are,

So I have nothing for "make it all up day."

- Gracie, you've got everything you need right here.

- You're right.

I do.

I can use these paw prints to make up my own moves.

[Laughs]

Uh, red could be a leap.

Blue could be a spin.

- Those moves will make a stupendous dance!

- And I think I know exactly what to do

For recording my project.

Come, angelina.

Help me put out the paw prints, angelina.

First, we listen to the music.

The violins are setting the scene.

Once upon a time, there was a magic forest.

And in that forest lived...

- A fairy named fern?

- A magic tree.

We begin with two echappe sautes.

Then stop in fifth position.

Also in that forest lived...

- A fairy named fern?

- A forest sprite.

Alice, chassearound the magic tree

And finish in fourth position.

Then all the other magical creatures of the forest enter.

[All gasp]

Not you, angelina.

- [Gasps] oh.

- And dance happily about.

- What's everyone so happy about?

- They're happy because fern the fairy is here.

- Hey, that's me!

What happened to the music?

I didn't get to dance yet.

- That was just the introduction, angelina.

And now it's over.

- Oh.

- But don't go away, fairy fern.

Your friends want to give you gifts.

- [Gasps]

- Come along, flowers.

You too, magic tree and sprite.

Bourreein a circle around fern.

- Um, did someone say something about gifts?

- Elf prince, that's your cue.

- For me?

Oh, thank you!

Uh-oh, why is the music doing that?

- The bad fairy is coming.

- Is that what I think it is?

- The enchanted pillow.

As soon as you touch it, you'll fall asleep.

No, angelina, don't--

Don't run away.

- Do I have to?
