Hi, there. I'm dr. Scott the paleontologist, and this is
Pliosaurus.
Pliosaurus.
Pliosaurus.
Pilosaurus.
Pliosaurus was a giant reptile up to feet long,
Which made it one of the biggest and most feared ocean
Predators during the jurassic time period. It hunted all
Kinds of animals, even other predators like sharks and
Plesiosaurs. That's why some people call pliosaurus the t.
Rex of the ocean. Pliosaurus had a long, low head with
Powerful jaws full of sharp teeth. It also had a short neck
And a long, thin body that helped it swim really fast.
Paleontologists don't know for sure, but pliosaurus may have
Swum like modern sea lions, using their large flippers to
Paddle through the water. No matter how they moved around,
Pliosaurus could probably swim fast enough to chase down their
Prey. Can you think of other modern-day predators that can
Swim fast enough to catch their prey underwater?

Well, after my morning walk, I head back to my burrow to get

Find shade to cool off. This desert sure has changed from
When it was an ocean.
Yeah! Did you know that maybe this desert used to be an
Ocean, percy?
Why, sure. It's common knowledge to us desert folk. We
May not have seen an ocean, but we know all about them.
Really?
You see, when I was just a little lizard, my ma and pa
Told me, just as their ma and pa told them and so on and so
Forth, that a long time a go this desert was covered in
Water, but over a very long time, the ocean dried up, and,
Well, now it's a desert, and that's the story.
Wow! So every mom and dad lizard tells their kids the
Story of how this ocean turned into a desert?
Yes, siree, buddy, they do.
Hmm. Maybe moms and dads could sing the story to their
Kids.
